The food was delicious – I had the old Delhi butter chicken which was incredible, and a generous portion size for the price. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely come again next time I’m in the area.

Very nice food and great service. My friend said that the butter chicken was the best curry of his life. Another also has never had sticky toffee pudding before and he said he was very pleasantly surprised.

Very poor, other reviews mentioned value for money, cask ales are expensive, and on Sunday at least, virtually the whole pub is set out for dining. The young bar staff, had the the music on far too loud, music in pubs should always be to enhance the ambience, not to stave off boredom of the bar staff. In the half hour I was there I was the only customer.

Great to finally see this pub back to winning ways, Abey, I'm and Zak were fantastic hosts. Very attentive, professional and polite and the food was out of this world. Definitely recommend this wonderful pub.

This place has not been taken over long but the food is incredible, the customer service is amazing and the prices are perfect. I highly recommend this place for good alcohol and amazing food with awesome owner and staff

Superb Sunday roast, second time eating here and you really do have to try it. Amazing Sunday dinner today and the food previously was fantastic...As a family of four we all thoroughly enjoyed it and it has to be up there with the best food we have ever had.

I have been here a few times now under the new management with my husband and friends. Have eaten off the main menu and had a Sunday roast a couple of times. On every occasion the food has been excellent, lovely friendly staff especially Immy. The owner Abey is a lovely guy and really makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend please go and give it a try, you won't be disappointed. It's our regular now 🥰

It was nice and quiet experience with my family. Staff was very kind and helpful. Since owners changed seems standard of food and quality got even better. Food was tasty more than i expected. And portions was generous especially kids one. I would highly recommend this place. Especially when they have special price offers. As you can see we had roast dinner and it was wonderful.

Great venue, it's clean, it's tidy, the bar staff are kind and helpful. The food is always quick and very enjoyable. It's recently been taken over by new ownership. Please go and check it out and support them, we've been 3 times (maybe even 4) since it's been taken over. Thank you 😊

I have enjoyed a few meals in the courthouse since it has been under new management. I have had meals from their main menu, two different speciality menus (Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day) and their Sunday roast and would recommend them all. Each time staff have been friendly and welcoming. Food has been delicious. Service has been great. Highly recommend the courthouse for both food and drinks.

A delicious meal and wonderful live music for Mother’s Day. Solo. I know! Unusual but being miles from mum & with a daughter travelling abroad, I wanted to treat myself. My roast was taylor-made for my inability to tolerate gluten. Just ask! I loved the portion size & the variety of ingredients. Roasties we’re yummy. Service very friendly & and lovely waitress. So glad I was here. Will eat here again - next time bringing friends!

Food came out quickly, and was delicious. Staff were friendly and informative and the playlist of music playing was top quality.

5 of us went for Mother's day lunch unfortunately they were a little short staffed because one member had not turned up due to a family crisis and they had an unexpected amount of walk ins, however this did not spoil our experience, the landlord is a lovely guy and he and his team worked extremely hard under the circumstances and he was very apologetic, all of our meals were excellent we had a mix of Indian and English cuisine between us, the Sunday roasts may not be the cheapest in town but believe me they are quiet possibly the tastiest and you get a good amount. This is now the second time I've eaten here since the new ownership and it will most definitely NOT be the last, I would definitely recommend The Courthouse to anyone.

Went to the pub with my daughter and grandson, mother day , very disappointed in the service, the waitress didn’t know anything, about the menu , and had to go and ask at least three times about the roast dinner , wine served in a dirty glass, The roast was so peppery none of us could eat it all , spoke to the manager he did take my grandsons meal off the bill , plus a further 15per cent , We order my 8 year old grandson a pudding, which was very expensive , we asked 3 times where was his dessert, it came eventually, he did enjoy it , maybe because he was hungry, as he couldn’t eat his roast , I don’t think we will be going again, as we felt it was too expensive and service was terrible

OMG, The food here is amazing.... Sunday roast to die for with all the trimmings! Professional service, went for my sons birthday & it was made extra special as they played Happy Birthday as they brought out a cake with a candle to blow out. Highley recommend!! Thank you .

To be honest had a low expectation when my wife on I went for some food considering it was 7:00 pm on a Saturday and whilst it was quiet no one else was dining. However our reservations were quickly turned to delight with excellent service to extremely impressed with the food quality and price. No doubt if they keep serving this quality the place will become extremely busy.

The drinks were great, not expensive at all. Hygienic. Was my first time so far I'm looking forward to returning. I would like to try the food, only being there for the cocktails, me and my friends loved it.

Great atmosphere, friendly, efficient staff and tasty beers. Abey is wonderful he has really turned this pub around it is well worth a visit. Will definitely be back soon.

After noticing it has recently reopened, I popped in with the dog to check it out, and I'm glad I did. They have absolutely landed on their feet with all the super friendly and professional staff. They're dog friendly at the front and outside, so huge bonus. Table service, which is hard to come by in rugby, and The food was made in-house with extremely good presentation, quality, and taste. With a varied menu. Pork loin, veg and mash - excellent throughout Butter chicken and garlic naan - best naan I've had for a very long time, butter chicken fresh and very tasty Will definitely be a regular here!

Thought we’d try The Courthouse as it had recently re-opened. Didn’t know anything about the new managers or the menu. Wow, I have found my new favourite restaurant. The food is amazing; the combinations, the flavours and the presentation were superb. We learnt they prepare everything in house. The set menu was fantastic value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, amazing food and a great atmosphere I would definitely recommend. Best dessert ever!!!

The only beer available was Newcastle Brown Ale, but as the pub had only just reopened my ife and I were determined to give it a try. Ordered fish pie and gammon steak. 45 mins later our meals arrived. Gammon was very tough, asked for a steak knife and was told " don't know if we have one ". Eventually given a green plastic handled one, but still could not cut the gammon, left it on the plate as it seemed uncooked. Fish pie came in a 100cm shallow dish. Quite tasty and would have made a good sized starter, but not a main. Came with one and a half carrots and some shredded cabbage at a cost of £ 12. Spoke to the landlord who seemed disinterested and seemed to just smirked at me, at least the chef apologised for the poor gammon. Don't think we will be using the place again unless they get their act together.

Delicious homemade food at great prices. My steak and ale pie was full of tasty meat and puff pastry top. My boyfriend had the burger which was moist and tender with home made coleslaw and big crispy chips. We were full but had to try the pudding so had cherry crumble and custard which we polished off! Staff super friendly. We will definitely be coming back

Absolutely perfection. The food was outstanding. My wife had fish n chips and she loved it and I had the mixed grill. Everything was so flavourful and cooked to perfection. On top of all that the service was amazing and all at a great price. Highly recommend

12/23 16 of us this time. Decided to go for their three-course Christmas lunch. Fantastic value at £21.95 with 5 choices for each course. I had paté to start, beef bourguignon (served with 2x potatoes and 5x vegetables - beef really tender) for main and honeycomb toffee cheesecake for pud. All excellent! 10/23 As good as ever - despite being short-staffed in the kitchen, still managed the usual quality. A bit more of a wait but understandable. 8/22 Visited with our bi-monthly lunch group (about 20 of us). The place was heaving, yet every meal came out at the same time, hot and no mistakes or lack of quality. I don't know how they do it! Other establishments should learn from them. Still great 4/22. Consistent as ever. Food simple but always tasty and hot and service always excellent. Visited 2/22 and still as good. Always busy, so you know they're getting it right.

Very friendly welcome upon arrival, good range of seating to choose from, staff were attentive without being intrusive once we were seated. Good menu selection with food clearly freshly cooked to order. Food was excellent and portions were generously sized. A great choice for traditional "pub grub" in the town centre area. One thing to bear in mind; if you have anything "Cajun" and like your food spicy it's worth asking them to make it "proper spicy" as they tend to be quite mild otherwise.

We had a fabulous Sunday dinner for six people. The service was attentive, quick and efficient. All six of us had really good meals. I had steak and ale pie which was clearly made there and not your usual chill/cook which you get at most venues. The meat was tender and the pastry was wonderful. We have had some bad experiences at other pubs recently so coming here was a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend going based on today’s experience. It was good value for money too.

Outranking service! The roast was amazing, all came out together and couldn’t fault anything the staff were so attentive all out needs were met, the roast lamb was amazing I can’t speak for everyone else’s dinners but what I had was super!

Ate here prior to a concert at the Benn Hall. The food was good and the service was excellent. Other diners were a bit boisterous, so it wouldn't have made for a nice romantic meal out😏. Couple of real ales available, well served.

We visited late on a Thursday afternoon. It was fairly quiet, but it felt like the atmosphere would be quite relaxed at most times of the week. Staff on entry and throughout our visit were friendly and attentive. We ordered some food and drink. We had beef lasagne and cajun chicken. Both very fresh and cooked perfectly but underseasoned and some items quite bland. Still good value overall. The overall place seemed clean - the condiments were really surprisingly clean for a restaurant at this price point. Toilets were a bit shabby but no more than similar places.

It's always a pleasure to eat at the Courthouse. Every year we come there and the quality of the cuisine is always as good. Thank you for your welcome and see you next year.

Food good value bit of a wait for service even though it wasn't really busy. Compensated with a couple of drinks which helped. Will try the venue again.

Arrived at the Courthouse without a booking, but the staff managed to fit us in. This was a Sunday lunch and most tables were reserved. We ordered the Sunday roast and was very pleased with it. Pub roasts can be hit or miss, this was certainly a hit, and plenty of it. The gravy was exceptional as was the cauliflower cheese. A great find for us and a big thank you to all the staff members for looking after us. It is a big pub, but does get busy.

Visited for lunch on Sunday 6th August 2023, i was with my partner and partners father.The staff are absolutely amazing,the food was delicious and plentiful and cooked to perfection! atmosphere was lovely.nothing was too much trouble,really friendly welcoming staff. can't recommend highly enough! I've never been before to eat here,even though I've lived in Rugby all my life! Anya and Jamie you are wonderful people and put the customers first . thankyou we really enjoyed it! We will be back again!

Great evening for a Friends 60th Birthday, delicious food, everyone was very happy with their food and there was about 25 of us! Great atmosphere with a Live Band and excellent Service from all of the Staff 10/10. 100% recommend going.

We recently had my husbands 50th surprise party at the court house and I have to say from the moment I booked it until we left the staff were amazing. ANYA was so professional and made us so welcome. We had heard about The Courthouse from Friends and how good it was, we thought that the Staff were brilliant last night, the food was absolutely delicious, the Service was excellent, infact the Manageress and her Staff were spot on, lovely infact, there were alot of us and we all had a superb evening, we would thoroughly recommend going, the atmosphere was very good too and a Live band! 10/10 it couldn't have been better with fantastic Friends too a perfect evening.

Been here twice now for food and drinks. Both times the food has been delicious, hot and well presented. Good selection on the menu and if you particularly like a large mixed grill, you can't go wrong here, although on this occasion I had the fish and chips, also very good! Would highly recommend!
