Excellent position for a swift drink after a wander around the Caldecott Park. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.

I liked this place. I hope it continues to be as it was and maybe even better since the owner has changed. At some point I will try the new kitchen flavors.

The only beer available was Newcastle Brown Ale, but as the pub had only just reopened my ife and I were determined to give it a try. Ordered fish pie and gammon steak. 45 mins later our meals arrived. Gammon was very tough, asked for a steak knife and was told " don't know if we have one ". Eventually given a green plastic handled one, but still could not cut the gammon, left it on the plate as it seemed uncooked. Fish pie came in a 100cm shallow dish. Quite tasty and would have made a good sized starter, but not a main. Came with one and a half carrots and some shredded cabbage at a cost of £ 12. Spoke to the landlord who seemed disinterested and seemed to just smirked at me, at least the chef apologised for the poor gammon. Don't think we will be using the place again unless they get their act together.

Newly reopened by Dell so will be a good venue subject to initial wrinkles straightening everything out.

Delicious homemade food at great prices. My steak and ale pie was full of tasty meat and puff pastry top. My boyfriend had the burger which was moist and tender with home made coleslaw and big crispy chips. We were full but had to try the pudding so had cherry crumble and custard which we polished off! Staff super friendly. We will definitely be coming back

A fabulous Sunday lunch, generous portions of both meat & veg. Beautifully cooked, & nothing I could complain about. Excellent value, three courses for £16.00. Good service & attentive & friendly staff.

Absolutely perfection. The food was outstanding. My wife had fish n chips and she loved it and I had the mixed grill. Everything was so flavourful and cooked to perfection. On top of all that the service was amazing and all at a great price. Highly recommend

Our Christmas lunch was delicious . The atmosphere was spot on. Anya and her team were unbelievable. We are always made to feel welcome and relaxed all year round and nothing is too much trouble. 12/23 16 of us this time. Decided to go for their three-course Christmas lunch. Fantastic value at £21.95 with 5 choices for each course. I had paté to start, beef bourguignon (served with 2x potatoes and 5x vegetables - beef really tender) for main and honeycomb toffee cheesecake for pud. All excellent! 10/23 As good as ever - despite being short-staffed in the kitchen, still managed the usual quality. A bit more of a wait but understandable. 8/22 Visited with our bi-monthly lunch group (about 20 of us). The place was heaving, yet every meal came out at the same time, hot and no mistakes or lack of quality. I don't know how they do it! Other establishments should learn from them. Still great 4/22. Consistent as ever. Food simple but always tasty and hot and service always excellent. Visited 2/22 and still as good. Always busy, so you know they're getting it right.

Very friendly welcome upon arrival, good range of seating to choose from, staff were attentive without being intrusive once we were seated. Good menu selection with food clearly freshly cooked to order. Food was excellent and portions were generously sized. A great choice for traditional "pub grub" in the town centre area. One thing to bear in mind; if you have anything "Cajun" and like your food spicy it's worth asking them to make it "proper spicy" as they tend to be quite mild otherwise.

We had a fabulous Sunday dinner for six people. The service was attentive, quick and efficient. All six of us had really good meals. I had steak and ale pie which was clearly made there and not your usual chill/cook which you get at most venues. The meat was tender and the pastry was wonderful. We have had some bad experiences at other pubs recently so coming here was a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend going based on today’s experience. It was good value for money too.

Outranking service! The roast was amazing, all came out together and couldn’t fault anything the staff were so attentive all out needs were met, the roast lamb was amazing I can’t speak for everyone else’s dinners but what I had was super!

Ate here prior to a concert at the Benn Hall. The food was good and the service was excellent. Other diners were a bit boisterous, so it wouldn't have made for a nice romantic meal out😏. Couple of real ales available, well served.

We visited late on a Thursday afternoon. It was fairly quiet, but it felt like the atmosphere would be quite relaxed at most times of the week. Staff on entry and throughout our visit were friendly and attentive. We ordered some food and drink. We had beef lasagne and cajun chicken. Both very fresh and cooked perfectly but underseasoned and some items quite bland. Still good value overall. The overall place seemed clean - the condiments were really surprisingly clean for a restaurant at this price point. Toilets were a bit shabby but no more than similar places.

It's always a pleasure to eat at the Courthouse. Every year we come there and the quality of the cuisine is always as good. Thank you for your welcome and see you next year.

Was there with a large party of 40+ the food was excellent served piping hot and on time.

Food good value bit of a wait for service even though it wasn't really busy. Compensated with a couple of drinks which helped. Will try the venue again.

Arrived at the Courthouse without a booking, but the staff managed to fit us in. This was a Sunday lunch and most tables were reserved. We ordered the Sunday roast and was very pleased with it. Pub roasts can be hit or miss, this was certainly a hit, and plenty of it. The gravy was exceptional as was the cauliflower cheese. A great find for us and a big thank you to all the staff members for looking after us. It is a big pub, but does get busy.

Visited for lunch on Sunday 6th August 2023, i was with my partner and partners father.The staff are absolutely amazing,the food was delicious and plentiful and cooked to perfection! atmosphere was lovely.nothing was too much trouble,really friendly welcoming staff. can't recommend highly enough! I've never been before to eat here,even though I've lived in Rugby all my life! Anya and Jamie you are wonderful people and put the customers first . thankyou we really enjoyed it! We will be back again!

Great evening for a Friends 60th Birthday, delicious food, everyone was very happy with their food and there was about 25 of us! Great atmosphere with a Live Band and excellent Service from all of the Staff 10/10. 100% recommend going.

We had heard about The Courthouse from Friends and how good it was, we thought that the Staff were brilliant last night, the food was absolutely delicious, the Service was excellent, infact the Manageress and her Staff were spot on, lovely infact, there were alot of us and we all had a superb evening, we would thoroughly recommend going, the atmosphere was very good too and a Live band! 10/10 it couldn't have been better with fantastic Friends too a perfect evening.

We recently had my husbands 50th surprise party at the court house and I have to say from the moment I booked it until we left the staff were amazing. ANYA was so professional and made us so welcome. Been here twice now for food and drinks. Both times the food has been delicious, hot and well presented. Good selection on the menu and if you particularly like a large mixed grill, you can't go wrong here, although on this occasion I had the fish and chips, also very good! Would highly recommend!

Went back to try the food and was not disappointed! It has been an extremely long time since I waddled out of anywhere, so full! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were lovely as well.

We came here as a massive group last night. I was so so impressed with everything about our evening. We were sat on 2 big tables at one end of the pub which was really nice. The service was really quick, got our drinks up at the bar and ordered food at the table. There's a large menu with something for everyone especially vegetarians. The food was really tasty and much nicer than I ever expected considering how much you pay. My main and dessert were both delicious. Also the portion sizes are great. The waitresses were really friendly and worked so hard to make our visit special. Definitely going to be back!

The staff here are really excellent and attentive. We did not book but where easily accommodated and they could not do enough for us. They will let you know what the specials options are (I choose the delicious Chicken in a cranberry and mustard sauce). Overall this turned out to be a very good choice. We ate quite early but it filled up really quickly which showed how popular it was.

Visited the courthouse today for a meal with my family. 5* service from a lovely lady with curly hair! We received our lunch and she asked if everything was okay and served with a smile. More people should be like this! Didn’t take or remember her name but will definitely be returning - if only every waitress was as nice as her! Thankyou !

Not being from Rugby we didn't know what to expect. Staff friendly and the food was very good and excellent value. Couldn't have asked for more.

Been wanting to check this place's food out for a while. I decided to have the steak with mash and peas. I think the salad came with it. They do seem to understand what a meal should be. I'm definitely returning for another.

The Courthouse from the starters to the main and desert was just amazing, The Piri Piri shrimp was wonderful. We also had the rib starter, the ribs were oh so tender. The apple and black berry crumble with ambrosia custard was heaven in your mouth, and the cheese cake served with fresh cream was delicious. Can't go wrong with the half chicken, the mix grill was wonderful also. Don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. Please stop in you will not be disappointed. I know this american wasn't.

I have known of this pub for many years but never been inside. Went there recently as a result of a friend's recommendation and also Tripadvisor reviews. Visited to dine at lunchtime and had a very warm welcome with superb waitress service and great choice...

Came here with my friend, formally a Rugbian but now residing at the coast. I had never eaten here so hoping to not be embarrassed. Well, no need to have worried, it was so good! Lovely varied menu and the staff so welcoming and attentive....
