Visited here on the way back from a family day out! Service was excellent, girls behind the bar were friendly and accommodating. We had a few pizzas which were very tasty. The manager Dan was also very welcoming and friendly. We definitely will return again.

Having read such glowing reviews we were keen to try out The Windmill. It’s certainly a lovely country pub. It’s also pretty. The beer was excellent but the food was very average. It took over an hour to arrive - nothing complicated just two sandwiches and a couple of pizzas. The resturant wasn’t busy - just one other couple who were served just after we ordered. The pizzas were nothing like the picture (on this feed) the cheese was barely melted, the doe wasn’t toasty and the sandwiches were average at best. If there was a problem in the kitchen that would have been ok, we just need to be told not left for ages. Pizzas cooked in a proper pizza oven take minutes to produce and sandwiches probably about the same. No we didn’t complain or ask for a discount on the £100 bill. We like supporting small businesses but really expect food and service to be more than average.

What a little gem this pub really is.. Set in the sleepy village of Ewshot it offers enough parking for the entire village it would seem… Such a homely feel to the place, and I can only imagine how cosy it is in the winter months. We went for a meal on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Burgers were great, the pizzas were top drawer too and were washed down well with a couple of their lovely ales👌. . The whole team are so friendly and create a lovely atmosphere. Got to spend a little time with Dan too who made my lot feel very welcome..✌️

The place has a nice vibe, the staff are friendly and the service is good. The outdoor seating area is big and it'll probably be really nice in the summer. I had a really tasty pizza and I'll definitely go back again.

Not very friendly and inept staff. Saturday lunch took over an hour from to service on a day when almost half the tables were empty.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. It was really great seeing the landlord involved and on the bar, he greeted us and served us. He was very attentive and friendly. The food was lovely and me and my friends really enjoyed our night out.

Nice pub, dreadful service. We ordered sandwiches, took over an hour to arrive, they said they only had one chef (after the food arrived). I’m not a chef, but I can make five sandwiches in a lot less than an hour. When food arrived, chips were cold, we asked to order more drinks and we’re told we had to go to the bar. Incredibly rude, awful experience. If you’re local you’re probably alright, otherwise, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Lunch with the family. First time here. Great value food in a lovely setting. Absolutely spot on service from the lady on the bar who served our lunch as well. Garden looked very nice. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Lovely Mother’s Day lunch at The Windmill pub. A warm welcome from Rose and Olivia brought our roast beef lunches to the table without any delays. Good atmosphere and pet friendly. Will return soon for the quiz night and their very tasty burgers.

Amazing country pub, lovely staff and atmosphere!

Had a large family gathering post Christmas and we were recommended this pub - so we thought we’d try it . Unfortunately we were really disappointed, they were really short staffed and we waited a very long time between each persons meal arriving and some food was cold, or not what was ordered. It was a shame as the setting is lovely and has potential.

Lovely country pub and great functions(awesome DJ gig)in the garden in the summer. Unfortunately they really have to work on cooking good quality food with prices they charge. Went there for husband’s birthday lunch. 4 items on the menu, one they don’t have. I ordered fish and chip, the worst I’ve had (paid over £15 for the fish) - fish came straight out of Birds Eye package, I should have taken a photo!! Also ordered onion rings, they forgot the order and when my husband went back to check, the waitress simply said they can’t do it today. Why didn’t they say that at the start? Overall a lovely atmosphere pub but let down by food .

It's a genuine country pub, mostly serving locals, with typical pub grub (food). The reason it's mostly a local is that there is no passing trade. If you don't live in the village, you have to choose to go there and make a bit of an effort. But that effort is rewarded. Good beer; tasty food; a glorious garden; friendly landlady. It's one of those pubs with no pretentions; not a tourist destination, but a very typical 'local' in a Surrey village.

My wife and I had lunch here yesterday in this lovely peaceful setting. Julia cooked and served up a very tasty lunch. We would definitely come again.

I organised a barbecue for 24 people recently. The food, service location,especially the garden and patio area were excellent. A very special place with wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended.

what a great village pub, popped in last night for a pint. ended up joining a lovely pub quiz. was made to feel very welcome by staff and the quiz master ( think his name was Spike ) i didnt win the quiz but it was a funny evening. the pub was packed even though it was a Wednesday. going to see if i can muster up a team for the next quiz in 2 weeks. plus they even squeezed in a meat raffle for charity into the mix !! didnt get a chance to eat but food coming out looked great and bar staff were very helpful. well done guys keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastic pub in a lovely area. Brilliant, polite staff and the food is amazing. Fortnightly quizzes, hosted by Spike, and he's brilliant. Spike includes everyone in many ways and is phenomenal at his job.

Lovely visit to the windmill today, Sunday roasts are back, we had beef and chicken and both were lovely, Yorkshire and Cauliflower cheese were all great, lovely to see some puds on the menu as well! Can't recommend the place enough, Julia is allways responsive on messages to answer any questions and all the staff are always so friendly and helpful.

I think I may have been served canned soup with not very exciting bread. The pie was home made but not amazing. The chips were good and the squid was fine. Maybe just don't order the soup.

We arrived at the pub at 18.15, the bar person told us abruptly that she was on her own. We went and sat in the garden. We were told no food till 1930 as she was on her own, and she had 1 table booked in, so that's six meals missed out on. Very abrupt and dismissive may think twice next time don't advertise an offer if you can't deliver it.

Booked up a table for four adults at 13:45 on 31 Aug 23. The place has so much character and is tucked away in the village of Ewshot. We were given the table under the TV screen in the main bar area which was absolutely fine. Drinks are realistically priced with a pint of Moretti costing £5:60 and a large glass of house Sauvignon Blanc £6:95. Our food was divine, with two of us having the Cod & Chips but as there was no peas we opted for the baked beans instead. My wife and mother-in- law both opted for a curry each (one Chicken and one Lamb) and these were both excellent they said. We were served by a very friendly and efficient lady who made us feel right at home. Excellent service and food. Would certainly recommend but be advised to book in advance as it does get busy.

We booked the function room for our baby shower in March and it couldn’t have gone better. Jules put on a fantastic afternoon tea, including delicious homemade cakes and scones. She catered to the various dietary requirements of our guests and made the room look beautiful with a wonderful balloon arch. Every time we visit the pub, the service from all the team is fantastic and this time was no exception!

Gorgeous pub bursting with character and charm. Huge garden area, plus nice looking function room. All in all, it's exactly what you would want from a country pub. Nice decor, clean, good service and varied drinks and food selection.

It had been about 7 years since I last visited this pub - set in a small, peaceful village outside of Farnham. Back then it was very pleasant, but only really, occasionally busy on a Sunday lunch time and afternoon, when serving food. I was pleasantly shocked and surprised how incredibly busy it was - both inside and outside. They’ve done a nice job with the outside rear, and all the locals were as pleasant as ever. Drinks only, but the food, which was being served to other customers, at the time, looked very nice indeed.

Popped in for a spot of a lunch in the sun on a rare day off, 1st time visiting The Windmill & we were so glad we decided to go there. Gorgeous stone baked pizza & delicious chips in the large gardens, a really special spot. Friendly Staff, Fab Food, Stunning pub - highly recommend :)

visited here many years ago ,when staying with a friends family on Church Lane in Ewshott - a very friendly place,I recall - glad to see it still exists - I don't live anywhere near now - otherwise would I be popping in -though you are probably different owners (from when I was there in 1981) !!!

My friend and I had a drive out today and were hoping to find a nice little out of the way pub, found The Windmill quite by accident. I asked the very friendly young man behind the bar if they were doing food but sadly because he was the only one working he could only provide pizza and chips. I did not want pizza so this lovely young man (think his name is Daryl) offered to cook something off the menu for us. I had pasta and garlic bread, my friend the chicken goujons and chips. Both were excellent. I love my food piping hot and this certainly was. The wine and coffee were excellent too and prices reasonable. 10/10 for Daryl and fantastic service. The food and pub both great. I will certainly return and have already mentioned The Windmill to several of my friends and family.

Found this pub by accident!! My husband & I wanted lunch, unfortunately they said they were only doing pizzas. I said I didn’t fancy a pizza. Rose then said perhaps we can do you burger & chips We said that would be lovely. Our burgers arrived, we were not disappointed. Burger was really good. The chips were absolutely delicious & so crispy, onion rings & salad came with it too. Thank you again Rose & the lovely chef for being so accommodating. We will be back

We had a fabulous roast dinner with all the trimmings Roast beef & chicken just so tasty! Beer garden is huge and natural, not landscaped, lovely countryside feel. Friendly staff and I would recommend this pub, 10/10 excellent.

The barn is a great private area for a function. Julia is a lovely and easy person to work with in organising what you need. Our guests loved the food the portion size and quality for the price. Even better if you're event is in summer as the outdoor area expands your space and massive garden area for children to run around. The barn has a TV screen and speaker for connect to easily with cable and Bluetooth. Definitely recommend and can manage a group of 20 in this space, if you go over it may be a bit tight given the space if you don't use the outside. Especially with busy kids running around

Sunday Lunch. Visited for Sunday Lunch with friends and family. The staff were very welcoming and the food was very tasty, although the plates (and the portions) could have been a bit bigger. My wife always judges her food on the standard of the desserts. She was very happy, with a great choice of traditional offerings of Sticky Toffee Pudding, Chocolate Fudge Cake to name but two. Will go again.

Lovely large garden. Good ales. Very good WiFi which extends into the garden. Possibly a great place to sneak off for a little “work from home” to enjoy a beer, some snacks at the end of the working day.
