Me & my Wife Nikki took over the The Windmill Keyworth in March 24 and have been working hard to make the pub clean and inviting to regular customers and new, we quickly achieved our 5 star food rating and the kitchen is providing tasty good quality pub food. We will shortly be increasing our food serving.hours to open for Breakfast every day please check our socials for details. We have a lovely out side space with well maintained lawns and flower baskets and boards, we are dog friendly and love to see your 4 legged friends, water and dog treats always available. We hope to see you all soon. We have entertainment on every weekend, from live acts to come like Take @ That, Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson and Tina Turner to name a few, big acts are on at the end of each month please check our socials for details and dates. We also have disco and karaoke on weekends when we do not have live acts on. Every Wednesday we host the open Mic nights so if you sing or play an instrument we would love you to come down and play for us.

This pub is under new management, and all I have to say is WOW! There is a fantastic range of drinks, all at very reasonable prices. The food is second to none, the best chicken wings I have ever eaten, just don’t underestimate the strength of the Caroline reaper sauce. There is now regular entertainment, which includes Karaoke, discos and live bands, with plenty of room for dancing. The new managers are extremely friendly, give a very warm welcome, and have created a great hub for the village, where you can relax and enjoy yourself. Oh, it’s dog friendly too.

Great village pub with a modern interior (since its refurb last year), friendly and knowledgable staff and a good range of food and drinks! The food is good quality pub food at good prices, often with good offers and deals on! There are often really good deals on for drinks as well!

Decided to give it a go since it’s been recently refurbished. Looks lovely on the outside and inside. However the food was really awful. We sent one dish back because the first piece I picked up was cold on the inside. The manager came out and said ‘you do realise this isn’t real chicken don’t you’. As if it excused the fact it wasn’t cooked. I told him yes, I’m vegetarian and cook the same product at home. The other meals weren’t much better, either overcooked, undercooked and all of it was bland. When the table eventually got cleared they didn’t ask how the food was, probably because they could see we hadn’t really touched it. We did tell them it was poor though and didn’t get much of a response. Got the bill but nothing was taken off including the meal I sent back. Spoke to the manager again, he was very rude and dismissive, their wasn’t an apology and he kept interrupting my grandad when he was trying to speak. Only positive of the whole experience was that the food did eventually get taken off the bill.

We had a really lovely meal at the Windmill. My husband had the steak which was perfectly cooked and I had the steak and ale pie - nice crisp pastry and well filled with really fresh peas and beans, mash and gravy. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was family friendly.

Had a buffet here for my mum's wake as it was so convenient for Wilford Hill. Can't praise them enough as everything was so great and they made us very welcome. My friend took some photos and ornaments the day before and they were happy to arrange them in the function area for us. They really helped make a difficult day very easy. Thankyou so much.

A relatively new find for us, but so pleased to have found it. Fabulous area outside with pods meaning you can enjoy the outside even when the weather is not so good. Good choice of beers, and a great menu with sensible prices. Table service with attentive staff too. Highly recommended.

We went for lunch - fully recommend the Sunday roast - excellent - we were a table of 7. Everyone was happy - fantastic friendly service and very tasty food. Good value for money. Totally recommend and will return.

I was very impressed with this establishment the first few times I visited, the overall presentation and quality is fantastic. However the first two times were only for drinks. On the third time we decided to eat; unfotunately the food was really bad. The chips and burgers were both ice cold, the burger was served on a rock hard bun and was inedible. Really surprising... I mentioned this to others that had visited and they had the exact same experience. Something is not right. Maybe in time they will figure it out but at the moment I can not recommend, unless you go for drinks and eat elsewhere.

A real surprise didn’t seem like much from the outside but soon has you come in it’s like a funky surprise a very layed back place very clean but check the menu out a great selection on offer plus some if you’re a real ale person or fancy a beer they seem to have a good range on draft but yes a really chilled out place while waiting for the train much reasonable prices than star bucks or costa bomb buy nice service also .
