Had a lovely time there today with me elderly mom and dad. The guys behind the bar were ever so helpful and accommodating and the food was delicious.

Lovely place, went with elderly family today. Very friendly and great food.

Great pub. Best in the area. Prices are actually decent and it's got a nice atmosphere. Lively but not too lively and no annoying idiots.

Such a great Family friendly pub, go here often and Gem always makes us feel welcome and the kids always have a great time. Especially when they are winning the Easter egg hunt 😂

Went to The Wheel on the weekend, and it's a total gem! The atmosphere is great, and the staff are really friendly. They've got a great selection of drinks, and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back again soon for sure

This is by far the most friendly and inviting pub in the local area. And I’ve been to them all. Gemma and Craig behind the bar are absolutely lovely (100% of the time) and have an amazing dress sense. The beer tastes peng and so do the birds. My favourite watering hole in the whoooooole world.

This lad called Jacob is a absolute sensation , it’s a joy to watch him at work he’s like a wizard of the glass collecting game . Proper lad and see a big future in the game for him .

Standing at 6’1 and 1/2 (dispite what he tells you) Jacob Lowbridge is coming off a hot streak of nights at the wheel averaging a whole 78.4 glasses collected per shift he is the leader in the league but not only in this stat but also in pints of guinness poured per shift at a whopping 34.9. With his long frame he is able to stretch the floor and identify empty glasses from the other side of the playing field something which simply can not be taught. All this natural talent is combined with his unreal engine to sustain such intensity over the entire 90 which allows him to achieve such impressive stat lines. A big move for the young buck is on the horizon soon enough a bigger player such as wetherspoons will snap him up and give him the chance to prove himself on the biggest stage of them all. Keep a luck out for this future star as he could be responsible for finally bringing it home again in the dishwasher filling finals. Also a shout out to Jess who puts in a great effort and has an unreal engine but can’t quite deliver the same numbers as the LOWBRIDGE.

We came for the new year's eve disco and buffet. We are regulars at the pub, go in fairly often and this is our third NYE at the Wheel. The bar staff are a true credit to the business, particularly Rachel and Ellie. They work so hard with a genuine smile on their faces and as a former publican myself, if you get the staff right then you've won. Very little waiting at the bar and the drinks were accurate all night. The buffet was brilliant! A lovely mixture of hot and cold food and great quality, thank you. Now to the problem, the DJ is poor and was even worse than last year. I appreciate that you can't keep everyone happy but he didn't really get started until 10ish, played a random selection of all sorts and ignored pretty much all of our requests! Perhaps this is part of the charm and it won't stop me going again because the pub and the staff are great. Thank you!

Enjoyed a Christmas Fayre with family over the weekend. Food was tasty, hot and plenty of it . Can't fault any of the staff, they were more than happy to accomadate all of our requests.

Went here for lunch. Pre ordered food was ready very shortly after arriving. Food was a good price, food was good and service was great. Would recommend.

Friendly service. Didn't have to wait long for our meal. Decent quality streak; although a bit cool when it arrived. Good quality meal overall for the price. The draught Guinness was good quality. Toilets were clean. A good pub to have as a local.

Had a lovely Christmas meal with friends, the table was set out beautifully. It's a friendly pub, the food was excellent as was the service. We would highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Christmas meal was fantastic, all 3 courses were tasty, the roast potatoes I could have ate a plate of just those. Service was friendly and timely, totally worth every penny.

Us and a friend were trying to find a new pub/restaurant, just for a change and couldn't get in anywhere when we rangon the friday night for the saturday night the winding wheel made space for us, we have never been in here before, honestly we as 2 family's will 100% be back very soon great atmosphere, great food, very reasonable on the price for what you get! Loved it.

Had a good meal with family, very busy as it was a Saturday after the football and a Halloween party had been organised.

Great pub, very clean toilets. I have not had an opportunity to try the food yet, It smells very nice so I will be eating here soon.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with family and friends, food was fantastic with a good choice on the menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Child and dog friendly too with colouring and toy and sweeteachimes for the kids and bowls of water and doggy treats for the ferries.....Will definitely be back

My family went to have lunch today with my oldest brother who lives in a local care home. The staff especially the manager today were so kind and friendly. We had lunch in the smoking area which is outdoors and a lovely space for us to eat. My brother hardly gets to leave his care home and it meant so much to us that the staff let us eat in this area. The food was lovely and the service was very good. Thank you so much for our special lunch today. We will be back.

The Winding Wheel is a charming community pub. From the moment I stepped through the doors, a warm and homely atmosphere welcomed me. The extensive drink menu offers a fantastic range, from classic pints to exquisite cocktails, all expertly served by the friendly staff. The food menu is not only excellent value for money but high quality. I particularly enjoyed the selection of burgers—they were a definite hit! I will certainly return soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Excellent local pub, Gemma and Craig are amazing. A great hub in the community. The big screen is amazing to watch all the important sporting events and the end of month disco is always popular.

First off the toilets were extremely dirty not to mention the strong urea smell as you enter the corridor leading to the toilets in question. The whole restaurant/pub had a lingering smell of cigarettes and tabbaco as if someboy had been smoking indoors. Next off the barman was excessively rude with many eye rolls and huffs and puffs when we asked him to fill the pint fully instead of filling two thirds along as he had where as the lady was quite respecte full and seemed like she wanted to work here unlike the barman.

Brilliant meal today first time but not the last. Steak cooked perfectly thank you well done to the chef will definitely recommend and return. The wine and drinks were great quality staff friendly and professional great pub⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rude bar staff. Eye rolling staff don’t like it when you ask them to give you a full pint of coke, oh and I won’t ask you your getting ice whether you like it or not. If you don’t like your job get another

A great atmosphere with the owners and all the staff, even better with the return of Lee. Best addition to a local I could have wished to experience and wouldn't want it any other way. These guys have created a homely experience in a local town and are very much a part of it.

Great pub whether you are going in for food or just a drink, with friends and family or on your own, the reception is still the same, warm and friendly. Very well run by the management which reflects on all the staff. Overall a great place to visit and will definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere however the toilets need some attention. Smelly plus seats broken or missing in the ladies. They really do let the pub down.

Both my wife and I had the scampi and chips which we both enjoyed very much, and will be going back again, staff, service was excellent, well worth a visit.

Great place for Live sport, great tv wall and multiple screens. Food is lovely and very reasonably priced to the other local pubs in the area. Craig/Gemma and the team are always welcoming and it’s the place to be! #windingwheel

A lovely pub, always a warm welcome from the team. A good selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Food is good and portions are plentiful. Good background music and sports on tv. Recommended.

Friendly people behind the bar, drinks are good priced. Food is good especially Grill Night (Thursday??). Plus its cheaper than the NewHall Farm too.

Best pub in Heath Hayes and Cannock area , food good , friendly bar staff, massive TV for all sports , owners go far and beyond to help you if needed, great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this pub also dog friendly

Arrived at The Winding Wheel and no where could we see what time they finished taking food orders-tried to order and they stop taking orders at 7.45pm on a Friday-really! First time we were going to eat here for a few years as the food...

Great venue, recently refurbished. Plenty of room inside to eat or drink, but on a sunny day i recommend grabbing a table outside.
