Dunelm Pausa Coffee Shop in Cannock Chase

Bought a feather pillow and the feathers keep coming out and scratching my face ,I took it back and was told , because I had bought it longer than 30 days ,they couldn't do anything.it wasn't cheap £30 and NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. I will be contacting trading standards .

Its got some very dedicated and committed staff who make the place tick and serve you as if you were the only person to have visited. BUT they cannot contact their other shops unless its by the same route customers use to communicate with them ie via the switchboard at that particular outlet. Now given that staff are keenly dealing with customers by telephone or in person all day long then should you have an urgent or highly demanding query or the simplest type ie do you have that item in stock at your outlet then its almost impossible to resolve it without waiting for an endless age until ( if you are lucky) someone answers in another shop or the phone is cut off. Owning a big retail outlet and not enabling direct personal exchanges between staff???? How the hell is it so difficult to put direct lines in to enable staff to resolve queries instantly??? Its a good outlet spoiled by cheap owners or worse by indifferent owners not interested beyond making a buck from the customer who deserve much better. Very good and keen staff ,nice stock,the place is worth a visit but the management need to revisit how to run a business.

Was in store today and trying to get a refund as my sheet had bobbled after one wash. I’d only had it 2 days and the manager Richard said I was not entitled to a refund. I came home and told my children and it would appear that Richard is a snake in the grass. Beware of him, he likes to bully older people like me who don’t quite understand our consumer rights. Richard did not want to help me, there was a big queue behind and he embarrassed me. Shame on you Richard, I will never return to the Walsall branch again.

Great shop Dunalm. Only thing is they have a lot of clutter, not easy to manvauve trolleys around. Lovely cafe great coffee. I wanted a lite bite Food not available after 2 pm Staff said all machines have been cleaned. I only wanted a toasty .

A really nice place to stop off. Have a coffee and cheese toastie. Very well-priced, nice and clean, with very nice staff. And a very wide range of things for your home in the shop as well ,

Warning to all with Celiac Disease. On Tuesday 24th September I met my friend at Dunelm's store in Paisley in their 'Pausa Cafe' I ordered Gluten Free soup and a Gluten Free Roll. I told the staff that I have Celiac Disease many times, I was assured that they understood about Gluten Free Food, as they had just had staff training on that very subject that morning. My soup and roll arrived, I took a bite of the roll, swallowed it and realised it was a normal roll, not Gluten Free, I ran over to the woman in charge and told her that the roll was not Gluten Free, but she insisted that it was, I did not eat any more of it. Within minutes the woman in charge came to my table and apologised, saying that I was correct and that a new member of staff had put the wrong roll on the plate, she apologised again, offered me some Gluten Free biscuits, which I refused but she dropped them into my bag anyway and apologised again. When I got home I was severly ill vomiting until my body got rid of the Gluten from my stomach, which meant I could not eat anything for a day and a half until my digestive system healed after ingesting Gluten. My reaction to Gluten is bad enough, but what if it had been someone with a Nut Allergy, they would not be here to report this warning to others. I contacted Dunelm yesterday to warn them of the above, but no one has contacted me on such a serious event, shocking, in light of recent events when people with allergies died

Click and collect for some curtains ordered online. Girl on the collection desk was pleasant, speedy, and no fuss whatsoever. Was in and out within a couple of minutes.

Cakes etc are lovely, but disappointment with the breakfast. It wasn't very hot and the omelette was tasteless. No mushrooms. The toast was nice, but overall it needs improvement.

I often visit Cannock Dunelm Pausa Coffee Shop and have always been happy with the warm and pleasant welcome from the team there! I visited on 3/9/2024 on joining a queue I observed the various attitudes of customers to the team member on duty. As usual most customers were pleasant but the person before me was terse and somewhat impatient, despite this Karah was pleasant, patient and professional as she had been with all previous customers, I left feeling a welcomed and valued customer as usual! I feel Karah is an asset to Dunelm!

Asked for item and directed straight to it great service

Good variety, helpful start and onsite cafe is good.

Popped in for a click and collect order. Waited less than 5 mins to get the order and the staff even helped bypassing the check out queue to get out. Very helpful

Visited today to purchase toliet/ bathroom accessories. Very disappointed, damaged boxes on display, clearly previously opened boxes on display. Blank spaces where no stock was available. Lots of staff walking about but no interaction or interest in customers. If stock is damaged or has clearly been opened, it should be removed from shelves. Everything not in stock instore was available online, but it definitely needs a good sort out and removal of damaged and previously opened stock! Expected better.

I visited the Derby store and stood in line to order coffee. One member of staff, to my astonishment, sneezed into her hands and then proceeded to carry on with her duties. She made no attempts to initially use a tissue or wash her hands after the event. She did not appear to be serving at the time but was in the food and drink preparation area. This poor lack of hygiene is totally unacceptable when working in a food area. I left the store without purchasing a drink and will not return. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a manager to report this matter.

Didn't have in stock the item we made a special trip to see. Plays instore music which is always a negative for us. Parking outside is adequate.

Bought curtains, to long so tok them back to shorten but you have to have all packaging etc then it take 4 weeks to do

Always have a good range of items and happy to help you order/locate if not always available on the shelf. Staff are lovely and can't do enough to help/be useful - especially Lisa, she's always happy to help and super chirpy, she's served us the last 2 times we've been and she just makes the shopping experience so nice.

Should change the name to slow to nearly stopa! Coffee and biscuits were ok though. How come brunch stops at 12, it does mean breakfast/lunch. Re the lunch menu, not everyone likes cheese!

Went to see the leather sofa and dining table that I'd seen on the online site. But very disappointed that they weren't able to stock them . Only get online. I don't want to buy a leather sofa without evan being able to see it our site on to see how comfortable it was. And no sample of table . I did speak to a lovely member of Staff at the cannock branch called Lisa, She was very helpful and such a lovely lady . A credit to the shop .. I think there should be a stand with samples off leather an material for each sofa that is advertised on line . And a sample bord of the different types of wood so you can see the proper colour too for the tables and chairs. Due to not having room in the stores . I am worried about ordering on line without seeing the items I want in store 😫 if the sofa not suitable they will have to return it . So what happens to all the returned goods. Do they send them back out to a new COUSTMER our sell them off to discount store . 🤔

Picked up some forks from the home section in dunelm today. Was told by the shop assistant at the till that she needed to see my ID as she said I look too young to be buying forks, I hadn’t got ID on me so she said she would keep them behind the till and I couldn’t buy them as they have to be extra vigilant. My nan asked to purchase the forks and the lady behind the till said she couldn’t, she checked with another staff member and she said no to my nan purchasing the forks aswell. Awful service and won’t be returning. Went next door to pound land to a very pleasant lady who didn’t ID me and now I have my forks which are safe in the cutlery draw at home.

This is the third time coming to the cafe, and every single time the staff act as though they don’t want to be there. They never give you a smile and talk rudely to customers, hardly ever look you in the eye, and when they do it’s uncaring. Perhaps offer the jobs to people who actually want it/ need it.

A very good shop with great choice. Unfortunately we could not get a sofa bed or tv unit as they were "out of stock" so we were very disappointed😳.

Do not buy on click and collect, because they say they have the item in stock and pay for it, you wait for a text to say its ready to collect but non come, the next thing is you sre told they are very sorry its not in stock, Then you have to wait for a refund thats takes a week to process !!? I needed this item snd wanted to go elsewhere to purchase but because they are hanging on yo my money I cannot do!!! So ring the shop snd make sure they have one in stock then go pick it up and pay st till. Terrible service kn click snd collect .you are failing your customers i am abdolutely fuming

I love this store, it has so much to offer. Hand wash as you walk in. Staff are always friendly. Coffee machine wasn't working. But we had a great deal which was on offer. Large mince pie, and an instant coffee £1 delighted. Got all my purchases that I went for. But I need to go back for another item. Looking forward to our next visit

I go to Dunelm regularly. They have a great variety of well prices items for the home. The staff are excellent. We often have lunch or a snack. Again excellent service and reasonably priced, good quality food.

Dunelm take your money for stock they do not have then it takes them two weeks to return your money, so then they ask you to review your purchase but refuse to publish it & ask you to edit it because they don't like the truth, but buyer beware!!

Stop all the 'you can only do that on the Internet' rubbish and give people proper customer care - and regardless of you only having a customer service telephone number I will find an address to write to. Do not assume that you will always get away with shoddy customer service just because technology allows you to and do not sneer at customers willing to stand up and complain.
