This was the best one and friendly staff as well great food as well we had seven people family

Well. The lemonade was lovely, as was the barman. Having said that there was little else to compliment them on. We went at around 1pm and sat in the garden. Around us were a huge number of cigarette butts and empty/half empty lager bottles. The plan was to stay a while and maybe eat something but we quickly changed our minds.

Oh dear what has happened to the Yeoman? We had planned to go for lunch but changed our mind on entering. The whole pub just felt a bit grubby and uncared for. The skeleton of last years Christmas tree with lights on is abandoned in a corner of the car park, litter in the beer garden and a broken table. Such a shame as this used to be an excellent place for lunch, really hoping its a temporary blip and just a bad day but from talking to others that may not be the case.

What could be a lovely Family Pub ruined by a Beer Garden littered with dog excrement. The issue has been raised with both the Landlords and Staff all to no avail. The previous Landlady actually created a specific fenced off area for dogs and their owners however this has fallen into disuse. As a place to go in the Summer it's best avoided until it can clean up its act!

This pub was amazing with new management team but on a revisit a couple of times recently it has drastically gone down hill. Dog poo all over the garden, no wine options, rubbish in garden, no staff on the bar (not the one waitress fault) just no backup for one female staff member on a Friday evening (not great management) very disappointing for a local pub

Just popped down to meet some friends for a drink and very surprised with how busy it was compared to years past. Good beer, friendly staff, abit rough around the edges but has a lovely garden in a decent community pub

Very disappointed. Thursday lunch time. Pub was freezing. I had pan fried jerk chicken with chips. Got rice. They were happy to change that. Said it was a mix up in the kitchen. When I eventually got my meal I couldn't cut the chicken it was so over cooked. Was offered a replacement or a complimentary drink. I declined. They took my meal off the bill, took it back to the kitchen. My daughter had a beef burger. It was hard around the edges and dry. Not going back again especially on a lunch time. Came home to warm up.

The place was filthy the tables were sticky just like glue yuk!!only one person working there absolutely terrible 😕

Always running out of drinks. Counted 13 pumps on the bar, cider, larger,guiness and beers, only 3 available. This is common the locals tell me. The poor barmen take the brunt of the complaints, but it's not there fault. The car park is full of rubbish and the garden still has last year's Christmas tree dumped in the corner. Stuck a shame the pub has gone downhill.

So glad we found this place, country pub vibes with a cosy fire, kind and welcoming staff and absolutely fantastic home cooked food! Picture attached is of the macaroni cheese and garlic bread I had, it was incredible, gutted we live so far away so we can’t make this pub our new regular! It also has an impressive beer garden so would also be great to visit in the summer. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I has a really lovely barman welcomed us Taylor was his name he showed us to a table. We ordered two Guiness and Stilton burger and fish and chips and a portion of hot wings. The food was amazing and a delicious the hot wings the best I’ve ever had

My wife and I went for a mid-afternoon meal and really enjoyed it. The barman was friendly and helpful, he went out of his way to help and make sure that things were right for us. The dining area was clean and bright and the layout meant that we weren't overhearing the conversation from half a dozen other tables. The food didn't take long to arrive and when it did it was hot and tasty, good sized portions too. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the disabled access to the loos. We both enjoyed the environment and the meal so it's a place we'll be back to frequently I expect.

What a difference the new owners have made! A friendly pub with bright and airy dining area, huge garden and welcoming staff. The Bar and dining areas were clean and comfy. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. We chose a ham and cheese omelette which my husband very much enjoyed and gluten/dairy free scampi and chips for me which were perfect. We will be back and highly recommend the Yeoman. Wheelchair access : Easy access by going through side gate and using the garden doors. Confident wheelchairs users and mid wheel drive will find main porch entrance accessible. Steep but sturdy ramp to the dining area again manageable with powerchair but a little intimidating. Toilet access, sadly no accessible loo, gents up two steps, ladies level access but corridor too narrow for wheelchairs. Lots of parking. Allergens : They couldn't have been more helpful. They have Gluten and Dairy free options and can even cope with both together. I had choice on the menu which is rare. This local company take allergens seriously and that is a huge comfort. For even more choice ring ahead but we turned up unplanned.

absolutely disgusted with our visit today, have been several times prior to this and were booked in to have a staff meeting. first off the cup and saucer looked like it had dirt/dust in it - this was replaced, glass of apple juice had hair in it (mine is tied back in plaits) the "barman" offered to tip my juice into another glass. someone else at our table had a long dark hair in her food, took the plate to the barman after being told no supervisor/manager on site to have the response "what do you want me to do about it" fuming is an understatement - will never return!

Nice old pub on 1970s estate. No food menu either online or outside so went elsewhere

Monday evening after a busy weekend a lot of meals where not available. This was not a problem for our group and from the limited menu on offer we all found something to our taste. The food was excellent and an ample amount. Dog friendly. Will go back soon.

My wife and i had our wedding reception at the Wiltshire yeoman, yesterday (19th August) and they smashed it out the park it was brilliant, it was exactly has we asked, the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were all on top form, they were all just as involved with the wedding as we all were and we really liked that, been back for a carvery this morning to cure the headache and it worked it was lovely, best gravy I've ever had aswell! I didn't catch eveyones names but thank you for a good day, I did catch hollies name she was bopping around the place keeping the vibes alive that's what we like to see.

We met friends for a catch-up meal one evening here. We haven't actually been here for many years (no reason other than we moved away) and found it to be as pleasant a place as before. The staff were very nice and the place definitely has a local pub feel about it which we like and the choice of drinks was good. The food was OK - I'll be honest, it wasn't fantastic but wasn't dire either. I will be honest and mention that I didn't think the toilets were as clean as they could (or should) be which is something that should be addressed in my view. We'd certainly go there again as, in fairness, I don't think this is a place you can judge on a single visit so watch out for an updated review in the future.

Was really disappointed with the service here. Ordered fish and chips and a chilli con carne with chips, paid for at the bar, sat down. 30 mins later chilli con carne turned up, with rice and not chips. Sent back, then came back to say that was the last one so they have scraped as much chilli off and chucked it on the chips (still covered in rice and now cold). At this point I ask, where’s the fish and chips? To be told ‘we don’t have any’……… after ordering and paying for it and waiting 30 mins. The lad couldn’t have been more than 16 years old and just stood there like he had no idea what was going on, not a single customer service skill. After asking to speak to the manager the ‘mum’ came along and advised I could order something else which I did, but defeats the point of going out for a meal with your friend if your eating separately?? Staff were clearly overran, the ‘mum’ has clearly been roped in to help (although credit to her as she did try) Really can’t believe that a co*k up of this scale was even able to happen. Then to top it off, on our way out what was someone eating? Fish and chips!! Will not be returning, which is a shame since this is a couple of minute walk from my friends house.

Five of us for a family birthday Sunday roast. The food was excellent and the building is also great. Good staff attitude. Very few pubs do Sunday roast this well. Will definitely come back.

Great service and excellent staff

No lettuce for prawn cocktail or for mains salad. No mushrooms for steak, no steak sauce, over cooked steak and very greasy onion rings. First time here and very disappointed, left hungry and only paid for half the bill. Will not be returning. But the service was lovely.

Excellent meal, staff were very friendly and helpfull, very clean restaurant,food home made, will definitely be back.

Great family pub children friendly

It could do with more than one person serving behind the bar and a friendlier atmosphere, but that aside, it has a nice pub garden for summer drinking and also kid friendly

Our party of 4 decided to go for lunch at about 12.30pm today. The pub was deserted and after a 2 or 3 minutes a young man with numerous facial piercings appeared. We started to order drinks, (no " full fat" tonic water) when the phone rang and the barman picked it up. After a few minutes conversation he wandered off holding the phone and conversing. After another couple of minutes he reappeared from the kitchen without the phone but with a plate of food which he served to someone in the restaurant. At which point we left because of the rudeness and indifference he had shown and went to the Boathouse where we were served quickly by staff who seemed pleased to see us, and take our money. The management of The Wiltshire Yeoman should indulge in a little staff training rather than see £60-£80 walk out of the door. If you want to visit a pub that treats you with contempt then The Wiltshire Yeoman should be at the top of your list.

Popped in for Saturday lunch. Good steak, cooked as requested.

Booked for 12.30 lunch time meal. Very disappointed after reading such good reviews. They only had half a bottle of Rosé left there were 4 of us. So 1 of us had the Rosé other 3 had white wine of which they only had three bottles. Sat down checked out menu. Young lad came to take our order and the first four meals I tried to order they did not have. Could have got jacket potatoes which we did not want. So decided to drink up and leave to go somewhere else to eat. Young lad was very apologetic. We were very disappointed and not sure if we will every go back.

Lunch was very good and value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive. Only negative is visually when anyone is around food they need to look clean not like they are wearing clothes they’ve been wearing for a week. Personal hygiene not an issue, just grubby clothes makes you feel a little put off when it’s so close to food. A clean apron every day is a good fix. Otherwise really good.

Had a lovely meal although portions were extremely large. An unexpected big party of about 30 arrived which the staff managed very well. I would say if you like pub meals this is a place to go with good value.

Visited this pub for a drink. Sat in the garden, pleasant enough but on leaving we noticed that there were some hens and two rabbits. The conditions that these animals were kept, in our opinion were less than ideal. Carrot peelings thrown in which is kitchen waste and not food for rabbits, which incidentally are high in carbohydrates! Could not see any rabbit food/pellets with no dish provided anyway. No hay whatsoever which is the most important part of their diet! I could see some water in a sipper bottle but none in the other one and the spout was dirty. There is shelter for them although the door is led down off its hinges. As for the hens a similar situation with their living conditions also. Being animal lovers we could not ignore what we experienced and the RSPCA and Bath Cats and Dogs Home have been informed.

Nice family orientated pub with a large beer garden

Mothers Day carvery roast. Even at 6 pm, still very busy, and even though staff must have been exhausted, they were still ready to serve with a smile and a laugh. Lovely 2 meat carvery (could chose 3 meats) and yummy cheese cake for pudding. Will return x

This pub changed hands at the end of 2022 and is now open 7 days a week for drinks and food from 1200. The food is now exceptional and the Sunday carvery is really good.

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch yesterday at the Wiltshire Yeoman. Food and drink all excellent - as was the service from Taylor! Despite being in the middle of decorating, this caused no problems - and is certainly making a big improvement…. We shall look forward to returning to see the end result!

Delicious reasonably priced food

Aboustly amazing place, visited today as a family Christmas get together 18 of us in total, a mix of ages between 2 and 60. Such a warm welcome was received nothing appeared too much trouble, high chairs where available for our youngest three. Food was extremely enjoyable and great value for money, I can recommend the scampi and chips but equally the battered fish and the burgers went down well! The children's menu was good value the ice cream with smarties and flakes was well received. We where also given activity bags with crayons etc..to keep them occupied but they loved the outside play area. I would certainly recommend this fantastic family pub it has a great family atmosphere.

4 beers where not available, we asked for some crisps and nuts and were told they only had crisps. On our second round of drinks were told another beer was not available!! We won't be going back!

Lovely pub that's now realising it's potential. The standard menu is pretty basic but good, the Sunday carvery is fantastic. Good range of beers served by friendly staff in a lovely pub, also has live music.

Just visited a lovely relaxed family pub, waited a short while but every minute was worth the wait. Food is unreal! Very rare I clear a plate. But absolutely delicious. Lovely presentation, and kids food was at perfect tempature. Good kids portions too. Worth every penny. Thank you very much.

Bar staff really need to learn how to pour a pint of Guinness. They just chuck it in the glass, no pouring technique whatsoever and it ends up being a foamy mess with about 3 inches of head. Serious problem considering it’s the same price as other pubs that pour it correctly.

Food was very poor but good service and real ale was ok.

Food was ok, maybe a little over priced. The service was terrible, not sure if this was because the owner was on holiday. Older Lady behind the bar had a real bad attitude and was very rude when asking for ice cream and paying. She made us all not feel wanted. Would I go again.... hmmm

We had our little girls first Birthday party at the Wiltshire Yeoman and it was lovely! Heidi provided boxes of food for all our guests and setup a table for us to put the cake on. We had over half the pub for all our guests and it was a lovely space, close to our house, to celebrate with all our friends and family. Thank you so much :)

Had the first Sunday breakfast, a good plate full,quality sausage, smoked bacon, scrambled eggs,fried bread,grilled tomatoes, black pudding, mushrooms and coffee and toast.....kept me going till late evening, several other families arrived, everyone was fed and waterd in good time,and a great atmosphere, going back again soon....

Perfect family pub garden and friendly staff. Food was fantastic, no fuss proper pub food. We've enjoyed spending a few Saturday nights in the garden. Kids especially enjoyed visiting the Guinea Pigs!

Friendly and helpful staff. Swift service. Nice and simple menu. Food was tasty. It's not going to be getting any Michelin Stars anytime soon, but for a family afternoon out, it's great.

Slow service and never with a smile also closes very early even though plenty of customers still wanting to buy drinks.

Average pub food. Although risotto was tasty was so small in portion and at £12.95 so overpriced! Given the bill at 10 pm as closing but was not told of this, cutting evening sadly short.
