The William Mitchell in Lancaster

Great little pub, cheap beer, friendly staff and a real 'heart of the community' feel. Food is ok but it isn't a gastro pub so couldn't complain. Will be seeing Trish and the gang again soon shortly.

Good menu selection, reasonable pricing Evenings are good with music Only criticism is they stop serving food early and have now taken away the real ale selection

We had our wedding day here yesterday and I can honestly say that the william mitchell went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we could have hoped for, the food and service was excellent The william mitchell did not disappoint and we will be forever greatful to Trish and her team Thank you 😊

This is a lovely public house. Nice friendly people and staff. Prices very reasonable. Will be recommending to my family and friends. Will be definitely coming back. Food looks good to.

A sports bar who took in and fed well a group of 14. I had a double cheeseburger which had 4 burgers! Bloody lovely if a little too big for me. Everyone were pleased with their meals and those who had puddings loved them too. Brilliant. Shame the pub s not closer to home as we re from Gloucestershire.

Visited for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend.

Amazing meal had by me and my family, we was made to feel really welcome by the staff, we ended up staying all night and enjoyed the amazing singer that was on that evening, will definatley back and this will be our new local.

Visited for lunch all chose a different dish. I had the loaded chips with southern fried chicken. I would not recommend this dish, the southern fried chicken was like eating cardboard, the peices of chicken were very small and fingernail size. There was no taste in this dish at all. Very dissatisfied will not be ordering anything anytime soon.

Was very busy as a Fun Day on. Was hoping to get food and drinks but too busy. Will go back when it's a bit quieter.

Family friendly pub with a great atmosphere. The bar staff are a super delight an helpful. My daughter loves playing on the park an chatting away with the regulars. We even won a free pizza during the Euros for guessing the correct score, which went down a treat. The food is good at a reasonable price sporting a good selection on the menu for all taste buds.

Lovely place great atmosphere. Great for kids and great food. Good service from bar staff going the extra mile to help with my daughter when she tripped over.

Staff friendly and very attentive, food was very good quality and just as the menu described, also very tasty. Will definitly be returning for food again! The atmosphere was also very welcoming.

Will never visit this place again. The bar man was too full of himself. I ordered food and a pint off larger. My family ordered food for the same table number with 2 glasses of cola for my grand children. Placing my larger at our table I went to the bathroom, the male bar man came over and asked for id off my 14 yr old grandson saying it was his drink when clearly it was mine. His attitude was not acceptable he was very rude to my family. The food was not brilliant either. Maybe they should check who they employ

Really nice lunch with my 2 daughters meals and service where excellent this is 2nd time we've been and will certainly go again.

A friend and I popped in during the Euros, about halfway through the ENG-SWI match. Pub was packed, which was nice to see. Food menu limited, presumably because of the footie, but nice choices nonetheless. Food tasted good and was served quickly, good service from the staff considering it was so busy. Would happily return, just perhaps when less packed.

So went here fir a friends party. Very accessible at all doors. Nice sized function room but di not expect lots of tables if you want a dance floor but perfect for kids parties, funerals, or like ours small party of i think 30ish adults. Plenty of parking and if weather good then out door seating. Would definitely return here due to the atmosphere, very welcoming, nice decor. Bar was very busy, which is always a good sign.

Just wish it was dog friendly would come more often live round the corner

Great pub for sports and entertainment with a great selection of drinks and food available.

Food was extremely bland. Hot beef baguette was a bit iffy !

I love coming to the William Mitchell when I can. One of the very few pubs I feel comfortable being on my own in as it is very inviting. They also have a separate room for playing pool and darts which is nice. All staff provide excellent service and as for the food... absolutely amazing at a very reasonable price 😀 Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you for taking care of us at such short notice after the loss of my husband. The buffet was perfect and the staff were welcoming. It’s now my local so will be visiting again.

Great pub! Family friendly, good service, staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, if there’s a particular game you want on to watch they put it on, food is always great, drinks are good prices, only recommendation is a bit of backround music inside would be good, 10/10 pub though!

Just back from a lovely evening at this well kept Pub. The bar staff were so friendly from the off, great range of drinks with a cider I’d not tried before. Without being asked the young man heard my interest and gave me a taster, great service! The food was lovely and piping hot. The surroundings inside & out were spot on, smart clean & tidy. We thought I’d lost my phone (yes it’s me) and the lady behind the bar was so helpful and checked around for me, when I found it safely at home I called her and she was so pleased for me. Great pub, great food and 1st class staff! Thank you

Didn't eat here but liked the prices. Morecambe was more expensive than I thought. But here Carling was £3.80. Dinner time Atmos was nice. Looks like the sort of pub that may be a little different in the evenings. Friendly bunch though.

Visited on a quietish Saturday afternoon. Menu was limited due to the oven being broken which was a shame as we weren’t actually given an idea of what wasn’t available so a couple of us had to change meals. Average/typical pub menu, nothing super special but quality of food was decent. Service was fast except for one party members meal which came out 5 minutes after everyone else’s. Good location with plenty of parking. Onion rings were amazing 😍

Went here today with the family. Nice pub with great little booths with individual TVs. Nice outdoor area with a TV and small play area for the kids. Pool table inside. Service was good. Only slight downfall was the large plate fish and chips, the fish was small and dry, the battered sausage not great, mushy peas seemed quite dry and no curry sauce which was advised but not discounted off the price and the tartar sauce advertised was just in the sauce caddy in a sachet.The burgers went down well with the boys though. The gents loo was in need of a scrub as well. Had to take my kids in and it wasn't very nice. Definitely worth a visit, maybe the large fish dish was having an off day but would expect better for the price paid for it.

Had to go in again Whilst on my holidays The pub has a very Comfortable atmosphere plenty of space outside to sit in the Sun.

Went for my tea on 11th May Curry night. I’m on holiday nearby first time I’ve been. The staff are very friendly and the Presentation of the food plus the taste was first class. Couldn’t believe how cheap the beer was. Had to get a 2nd one just to confirm 👍. Will be returning again for food and drinks.

Nice little pub, we had a family funeral and held the wake here as relatives lived near. Was a lovely place, staff were friendly. Quick service, and had a nice night here.

Felt very safe. Stopped off for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the whole meal. They don't do decaf coffee sadly but will go again. Cheap enough and great helpful staff. Went again January 2023. Short of a few tings but food was good. Great for watching football because of loads of TVs.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the pub is warm and welcoming, it serves a wide range of alcoholic drinks as well as cold drinks also tea and coffee. It also serves a very good selection of hot and cold food. It's family-friendly lots of space, ideal for a night out with friends or a casual meal with family

Food was good, staff helpful, was a bit noisy, quite a few children, there 😀 an all seemed to be enjoying, there self's..also it was a Christmas do ,they had a karaoke 🎤 was great fun ,as.i got to sing mery Christmas everyone an have agrat new year stay safe

We had lunch here today. Large car park. Good accessibility for wheelchairs. Good food. We had steak pie with mash, peas and gravy, spicy chicken wings, barbecue wings, chips, barbecue sauce, with lager. Reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff.

Called in on an off chance after buying my season ticket for Morecambe, Lovely ale and great service. Wasn't busy at the time but I'd love to see on a match day!

Amazing food, service and value for money. I must admit iam very picky when it comes to macaroni, it has to be just right and this did not disappoint it was perfect! We were a relatively large group of 8. The service was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the meals which included fish and chips, burger, plant burger. The staff were polite and efficient. We will be back again before our weeks holiday is up!

Went for Sunday dinner . Didnt book as you can't. Was pretty quiet when we turned up. Got busier . Food was excellent 👌 well cooked . Good portions . We got a variety of meals and we all enjoyed .got puddings and extras too and all was loved . We will be back . Gt service by staff.

Dirty tables and Dirty glasses, had to ask for a clean glass as lipstick all over it, not one clean table to sit at. I will not be going there agian

Lovely food, busy Saturday but service was quick. Lost a star as the table was dirty and sticky but that's probably because they were busy, still with Covid I would expect tables to be cleaned once vacated and cleared.

I was at the William Mitchell for the children's Xmas party, it was very well organised, Trisha the landlady was brilliant with the children.the pub is kept very clean & all is good as far as covid is concerned, she has made sure all is done that needs to be done. Called in for evening meal with my dog 🐕 and got told no dogs. The Internet did say dogs allowed. Food was just OK.
