Fibber McGee's in Lancaster

Came in last Friday to celebrate my own and my friends birthday with a bottomless brunch. I was so impressed with not only the value but the quality of the food and drinks alongside the amazing service recieved from all staff members. It's worth mentioning that at the moment they are offering half price Fridays which makes all food and drink half price - which is an insane deal! Really fun atmosphere - great mix of people. Will be back very soon! X

A very nice place. Pea and Shay are very nice. Good service which is what you need. Defo need a pay rise if u was their manager they are the life and soul. Thanks guys very good service.

Dropped in while passing through. What a great little gem. We had tapas lunch, the food was ace, it surprised us. The value for money was exceptional and the food was nicely presented. Would we go back...yes yes yes. Well done!

Bottomless brunch, food was really good and the cocktails also very good. Pleasently surprised by it. 90 minutes and you haven plenty of time to get your money's worth. Will certainly come again and have been telling all our friends how much we enjoyed it.

Took Beryl here for a romantic date. Food and drinks were half price so we ordered twice as much. Atmosphere was amazing and the beer selection was good and well kept. Bar staff were also attractive and friendly - this is in my top 3 places to go in Lancaster along with Jimmys and The Boar’s Head.

Visited for food and drinks while the offers were on, lady working the bar was lovely! Wide range of drinks available too. Venue isn’t the cleanest, and they’re not the best with allergies but other than that it was good

Bottomless brunch here is amazing! Staff are so friendly and attentive and nothing is too much hassle, loads to choose from and good, clean venue.

This is an upmarket pub with all drinks and food half price week in, week out. It’s like a DFS sofa sale which isn’t really a sale as it’s always half price. Beer selection is excellent with multiple beaver town offerings on display. I went with my friend Baz, from the Marsh estate, who had just won the postcode lottery and he also loved the beavers on display. Decor is very modern with living green walls. There’s a pool table, which was well used when we were there. Staff are friendly, attractive and knowledgeable - they definitely know their craft ale. I like doing a CAMRA crawl between here, Jimmy’s and The Boar’s Head - the three best real ale pubs in Lancaster and must visits for any discerning ale heads.

We came here for bottomless brunch and we had the best time! Larrice was so lovely and kept our glasses full the entire time. All of the cocktails Larrice chose for us were delicious, alongside the food. The staff were also incredibly accommodating, and offered my sober friend plenty of drink options as well. We would recommend The Staggered Inn to anyone, and will definitely be coming back.

Had the best bottomless brunch! Laurice made us feel very welcome and the drinks just kept coming! The food was incredible and had a wide selection and the drinks were all amazing. They even had their own twists on the classics. The music was great too. Will definitely be going back!

Saw a offer on a sign for this place so popped in. There was a 50% off offer on all food and drink , staff were lovely. Dog was tested fab and given water and biscuits. First visit we had a couple of drinks and found the price great and pub friendly. Enjoyed it so much we visited the next day and had a late lunch and a few drinks , food was great , drinks went down well. Will defiantly visit again on our next trip

Not a great experience for us at all . Think we were overcharged for the drink as they were meant to be half price and was charged 3.20 for a single archers and lemonade meaning it would be 6.40 usually. We requested a food.menu which was given to us to then be waiting at the bar for 10-15 minutes to be told they were not serving food because they needed more people on the bar , this was before 7pm so in serving time, there was also 3/4 staff behind the bar already with not too many customers. It wasted our limited time and was very disappointing. We unfortunately won't return

Was an absolutely amazing experience we will be back all are needs was met and trust me you will not leave sober staff fantastic no where is like it get yourself down!!!

Food was cold sent it back and got told a fresh one would be done. 2/3 minutes later the same plates came out luke warm this time. Had to take my filling out of my bread as it was tuff as they had just microwaved it. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely place. Will not be returning.

I went in Tuesday lunchtime this week for the first time since they’ve reopened the place from refurbishment and I really think they’ve done an amazing job. The place has a completely new feel to it and though it’s not my thing the tapas menu looks fantastic. They’ve got really some friendly staff and if you’re looking for a bite to eat and just a great place for a beer I’d definitely recommend it.

Ordered 2 burgers and two drinks, the girl who served us was very polite and very nice to us. Very loud woman behind bar. Not fantastic food, not disgusting or anything either just.. just fine.

The current food offering is amazing! A vast improvement on the food served here years ago when it was Fibbers!

Recently changed name, first experience walking into music too loud menu was interesting but staff were too busy to notice we had questions.

Had to wait a while for our food as only one chef working but it was worth the wait. I couldn't believe the portion sizes. We were a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their food.

Wasnt impressed with the food. The spicy chicken burgers were overdone and a funny texture. Same with the beef burger although not overdone. The fries were excellent I have to say.

Been so many times over the years as somewhere cheap and cheerful to grab a quick meal and a drink while stopping. But not a fan of the recent menu changes.

Had an amazing chilled lunch sampling the new menu. Bbq ribs and wings and the sharing sized chips are perfect for 2. The katzu chicken and the sauce was insanely moreish!! Staff happy and friendly, and a wide range of soft drinks, ciders, and the easy pleasing bitters. I will definatley be returning, probably at least once a week to get my fix.

Tried the katsu crunch fries from the new menu the other day and it was amazing! They have a new chef which also does food at another venue in town but fibbers is gonna be my new go to as the drinks are so cheap...

One of the most popular pubs to visit on a night out. The music caters for all ages and although the dance floor is small, it can always be seen with people enjoying the varied music. The bar staff are polite and efficient.

Went for lunch as it was handy for the shopping centre. The place was very old fashioned and I wasn't expecting much. The lass behind the bar was friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding and very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend it 👍

I went here with a friend for a drink after doing some errands, last time I went this place showed much improvement but this time it smelt of wee in certain parts and the floor was sticky, mainly in the toilet, not good for 3.30...

Barstaff very good despite being understaffed. Ordered Burgers which took an hour to come, chips undercooked and not very warm, onion rings greasy and salad quite limp. Would not go again or recommend.

I only put 1 star because I had to pick one, if I could of given zero stars I'd of picked that! Went here on Friday and not only did I have to leave an entire paid for meal but my partner ended up with food poisoning! The fish was literally just a pool of oil and it was so undercooked it was completely inedible. Definitley wouldn't go back again.

We went here to get lunch but when we went in we were told by a miserable barmaid that the chef had called in sick so no food.Would have thought they had a back up plan.There were no signs up anywhere saying that food wasn't available so we stood around until the aforementioned barmaid told us.

had many a meal here and never had any complaints. however we went in yesterday, ordered fish and chips from an apathetic member of staff and frankly, we would have been quicker going home and cooking our own, ( the service would have been better) over half an hour wait, the food was barely warm and can't think why they imagine putting two pieces of manky paper either end of the plate makes it look bigger or more palatable. and I could do without tiny pots of peas, sauce or anything else littering the plate to make it look more interesting. they used to have a good varied menu, they haven't now. maybe they should concentrate on serving alcohol, because you are rubbish as an eatery.

Went for lunch with family, waited over half hour to be told there was no ham. Had to choose something else then waited another 20 mins for a toasted sandwich which wasn't toasted and at least 10 mins after everyone else. I sent it back and got my money back. The staff were not very friendly and not really interested although the pizza which was ordered was nice. I wouldn't go again.

I'm sure this pub is fine to go in for a drink or two, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend eating here. I ordered a jacket potato which I didn't manage to finish because it was really bland. My companions struggled with their chosen dishes also. The staff were friendly enough but sadly I won't be returning here for food.

My first visit here in May this year was fantastic, had a gorgeous meal and a drink. Came back today for some lunch but most of what we ordered went back to the chef uneaten. The pizza seems to be frozen with half of the base missing and the ciabatta was not at all what I expected. I understand that the bar has a new chef, I think because of new management, but our lunch was a pathetic excuse for meal and they really needs to reconsider what they think is acceptable to send out.
