We had dinner upstairs in the restaurant. Casual comfortable atmosphere. The bar down stairs was packed. The burger and gnocchi were very good. Excellent service all around.

We absolutely loved this pub for dinner in London! So cozy and Sarah, our waitress, was warm and welcoming. The food was great (I got the fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding) and it was quiet with a beautiful view of the street!

We booked to eat dinner upstairs. For a pub that advertises great ales, it was really annoying that they made us go downstairs to buy beers separately! I had the house beef pie. Passable but pastry was very overcooked. There must be better places around the area.

At first, we went to the pub and after a nice welcome we got our drinks. Later on, we went upstairs for a very nice dinner and Gert service by Dom, who helped and served us with great joy.

This was my first time to London. We were walking and found this place it looked very nice. Kitchen open at 12 to start lunch the place is lovely our server Sam was great. We both got burgers. Best burgers just how they are meant to be cooked charcoal grilled. Paired it with Guinness. 100% recommend

I recommend at 100% this pub! I went to the Black Swan with my group of friends for a little school trip and the servers were so nice to us, really thanks to Dom and Maria :) And of course the food is delicious and you'll eat in a warming decor. Really go non to the Black Swan!

We went as a group and it was amazing: great good and warm and comfortable dining room above the pub. The staff in particular was great : Dom and Maria were welcoming, efficient and kind. It is now on my must-do list every time I return to London for business or for fun !!!

Order the table system is too complicated, we were trying to order Peroni but they brought Peroni Alcohol free. We would like to change it and offered pay the difference. Waiter asked the manager about the situation but he did not accept it. It might cost them around 2 pound but manager did not care at all. Very poor customer service.

Great place for a couples dinner. The downstairs area is a traditional pub, the upstairs is a quiet, secluded restaurant. Great traditional British fate with a good bar selection of drinks

Had an amazing meal at The White Swan last night! The meat pie was absolutely delicious—flaky pastry, rich, savory filling, and just the right amount of seasoning. It paired perfectly with a couple of great pints. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, exactly what you’d hope for in a proper pub. A special shoutout to Maria, who provided fantastic service—friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole evening. She really added to the experience.

Phenomenal experience at The White Swan. Great food, friendly service, and very efficient. Can’t help this nagging feeling that The Falcon in Clapham Junction is ever so slightly superior. Maybe there are learnings there.

The staff was kind and the atmosphere was right. The drinks, however, were quite expensive. 9 pounds for a pint is not cheap.

Stopped here because our Airbnb was close by. Had a lovely experience the first night, some we came back 2 more times during our trip. Clean and nice, good atmosphere. We ordered the chicken bites starter. Sauce was tangy and delicious. 5/5 well deserved. :)

We stumbled upon the White Swan on our first night in London. We were immediately charmed by the very authentic atmosphere. It is beautiful and cozy, but clearly very old since the stairs and floors are a little uneven. My son, who is a fish and chips connoisseur and who ate fish and chips every day of our vacation, declared the fish and chips the best he's ever had. I had the beef rib, shin and brisket pie which was wonderful and definitely the best pie I've ever had. We would HIGHLY recommend for wonderful meal that felt decidedly "London."

Freddie & Dom were friendly and efficient, on a day where we struggled to find a pub with good ale and food!

My 12 clients and I walked into the White Swan without a booking on NYD and the staff kindly found us 4 tables next to each other. The food was very nice. However, I couldn't give a higher rating as two people had to wait over an hour for their orders, one of which was a chicken salad!

Booked as an after theatre venue to have dinner. A busy pub but having booked, table upstairs was ready for us. Staff very friendly and accomadating and despite a full house, the food arrived hot, quickly and was very tasty. Would absolutely return and definitly recommend. As a footnote, thank you to the wonderful staff who found my phone on the floor and kept it until I returned to very gratefully collect it. Thank you,I appreciate you. Rob

I love British Pubs, and The White Swan delivered! Great atmosphere in the heart of Covent Garden, great beer and I had a great dinner of Bangers and Mash followed by Sticky Toffee pudding, supplemented with a great IPA. The staff was terrific!

We loved it! We went there for lunch, ordered fish and chips and a pie, and the crumble for pudding. Food was great , Sarah our waitress was lovely, and we had a wonderful time. We will be back!

Sarah was an excellent server, she gave my family tips about the city and making the Yorkshire puddings for a Sunday Roast.

We had the best evening and the best food at the white swan on Saturday(21st) our server was outstanding!! (Can’t remember their name but we were the table of 4 at 6!) Being upstairs didn’t change the experience the vibe was still good! Food was very good and service was quick considering how busy it was! Would recommend and would come again next time we are in town!

Great atmosphere and a lovely pub, but the staffing level seems insufficient. We were seated upstairs, but it was challenging to get service as there was only one staff member who was already very busy managing multiple tasks—serving food and drinks, taking orders, and tidying up tables. The staff member was friendly and did their best, but I would have expected more support to ensure a smoother experience.

This was our 2nd year running having our works christmas lunch at the White Swan. Last year's meal was wonderful and glad to say this year lived up to our high expectations. The food was amazing and we were looked after by the wonderful Sarah and the whole team at the White Swan. The first ad I made in 2019, so it has a special place in my heart! Ideally located in Covent Garden, it offers a wide choice of beers and typical dishes. The pie is obviously a must and your beer will definitely be a good choice. Very high in my favorite pubs in London!

Very nice pub in this chic area of ​​London but too many people and very early in the day, difficult to find a place and it's cold outside 🥶

Very average food. Ok beer selection, but some choices were out of stock when we were there. Upstairs dining room was nice, not noisy. Service was so-so, but maybe they’re just abit understaffed. Sausages in sausage and mash were burnt to bitterness on some parts. Steak and Ale pie had really dry and not tasty crust. Would not recommend.

We stumbled upon The White Swan in Covent Garden on a rough Sunday after some of our plans fell through, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a classic Sunday roast. The food was excellent, and the service truly made our day. The bartender, Sarah, was outstanding—warm, personable, and attentive. She made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed and adding charm to our afternoon. Her friendly demeanor and excellent service turned what could have been a disappointing day into a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope Sarah is there to greet us again!

A real shame as its a nice pub but the Irish barmaid was awful, totally stressed out with just one customer waiting. I ordered a pint of Landlord, my wife enquired about a glass of fizz? "Prosecco that's it!" I enquired about food? "The menus there, can you just pay for your pint and come back" We ordered another drink and some nibbles, she told me the price then got stressed out because I was paying cash and she didn't seem to know how to cancel the card transaction she'd automatically put through... As I got the £47.25 out my pockets and put it close to her on the bar she barked at me "Put it in my hand not on the bar!" She continued to bark this instruction at me three times, while I was putting the rest of my cash in my pocket, at which I thought it was time I alerted her to the fact she was being very unhelpful and rude! She totally lost the plot and appeared to leave one of the £20 notes on the bar....so if your tills short it's the stressed out Irish barmaid who isn't suited to front of house at all....she'd be better off cleaning! Awful service...worst we've ever had EVER!! Anyway we went to the supermarket lively interesting Cross Keys pub in Covent Garden next which had excellent service!

She was super friendly and knew her stuff, making great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed.The cask ale selection was impressive, with the Nicholson Pale Ale being a highlight. It was so good that we ended up having a few pints. The food was also delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. The atmosphere upstairs was lovely, with a nice balance of old and new decor.If you're looking for a great spot to grab a drink and a meal, The White Swan is definitely worth a visit.

This is a perfect spot for a quiet lunchtime get-together or a lively evening of live music or subscription channel sports. Our last visit was made extra special by the spectacular Sarah who was employed as a team member by another manager from another pub that saw her great potential and seen her rise through the ranks - no wonder - we could see it too - definitely a star (well 5 stars!). Thanks to Sarah and the team for a great experience.
