Subdued atmosphere, even rather dark, but that's what makes a pub charming.

Was looking for a central London pub showing the Orient game. Fortunately rang and found our this place could put it on. Great atmosphere, great service great beer. Will come back. Huge thanks to Sam for being such a great host.

Nice pub in Leicester square area but on a side street so not a big tourist pub. Has TNT sports and real beers so great if you are in area, your game is on and you like real ale!

we went to cup final from Newcastle,to this little lovely lady opened the doors and let us Newcastle fans in cost 5£ on the door we hunted all round London every pub had arsenal v Chelsea on tvs so asking polite will you be putting the Newcastle v Liverpool carabao cup final on every nasty doormen had many arguments because we travelled all way to London because the game but because we don't play in London we were told no no no no was absolutely disgusted so I did had 9 thousand step count hunting a pub with TV that was showing final from and found this pub absolutely lovely service from staff very polite with us noth east football fans Newcastle smashed Liverpool so I did say to one bar staff we appreciate your generosity to open up for all the fans and thanks very much guys you are super special for that we had table at back wall 4 lads my brother his 2 sons and myself I did say to a staff member thanks very much I will post a review of the pub from all who was in pub were amazing apart from 2 boys and girl sat next to us could tell were drunk and basically spoilt it for all the people in bar and warned 3 times from a staff member they would be removed she gave them a warning telling them I have had 3 complaints from us fans just there to enjoy the day thanks so much from the goerdies I was one asked for tape to put flag up on wall said had none so said what about blue tack yeah gave me it that was me who said I would leave a review on the socials maps shaun wears I have 31 million views on Google maps check it out I hope I can get more people in your pub and from us all you made our day together ⚫️⚪️🪄🖤🤍💪⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️🏆⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️😉 great services very busy a never tried food but I would expect it to be like your kindness from great staff I have to get one part in Newcastle 2 Liverpool 1 from West end mags thanks so much we beat Liverpool, 70 years since our last 🏆and to be able to be in your pub 🪄⚫️⚪️🤩🖤🤍🖤🤍

We had dinner upstairs in the restaurant. Casual comfortable atmosphere. The bar down stairs was packed. The burger and gnocchi were very good. Excellent service all around.

We booked to eat dinner upstairs. For a pub that advertises great ales, it was really annoying that they made us go downstairs to buy beers separately! I had the house beef pie. Passable but pastry was very overcooked. There must be better places around the area.

We absolutely loved this pub for dinner in London! So cozy and Sarah, our waitress, was warm and welcoming. The food was great (I got the fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding) and it was quiet with a beautiful view of the street!

Had Fish & Chips at the White Swan, which was good. I want to mention especially the excellent service of Maria, who did her utmost best to accommodate our group in time.

At first, we went to the pub and after a nice welcome we got our drinks. Later on, we went upstairs for a very nice dinner and Gert service by Dom, who helped and served us with great joy.

This was my first time to London. We were walking and found this place it looked very nice. Kitchen open at 12 to start lunch the place is lovely our server Sam was great. We both got burgers. Best burgers just how they are meant to be cooked charcoal grilled. Paired it with Guinness. 100% recommend

We went as a group and it was amazing: great good and warm and comfortable dining room above the pub. The staff in particular was great : Dom and Maria were welcoming, efficient and kind. It is now on my must-do list every time I return to London for business or for fun !!!

I recommend at 100% this pub! I went to the Black Swan with my group of friends for a little school trip and the servers were so nice to us, really thanks to Dom and Maria :) And of course the food is delicious and you'll eat in a warming decor. Really go non to the Black Swan!

Really nice food and incredible waiters (Dom and Maria). The atmosphere was cool and the old decorations gave us an unforgettable dinner.

Order the table system is too complicated, we were trying to order Peroni but they brought Peroni Alcohol free. We would like to change it and offered pay the difference. Waiter asked the manager about the situation but he did not accept it. It might cost them around 2 pound but manager did not care at all. Very poor customer service.

Sarah was absolutely amazing! Great sense of humour, knowledgable and fast. Also she has the memory of an elephant - did not need a pen and paper to write anything down! The food was lovely, classic British pub favourites cooked perfectly. Deco of the pub was very nice, especially upstairs.

Had an amazing meal at The White Swan last night! The meat pie was absolutely delicious—flaky pastry, rich, savory filling, and just the right amount of seasoning. It paired perfectly with a couple of great pints. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, exactly what you’d hope for in a proper pub. A special shoutout to Maria, who provided fantastic service—friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole evening. She really added to the experience.

Phenomenal experience at The White Swan. Great food, friendly service, and very efficient. Can’t help this nagging feeling that The Falcon in Clapham Junction is ever so slightly superior. Maybe there are learnings there.

The staff was kind and the atmosphere was right. The drinks, however, were quite expensive. 9 pounds for a pint is not cheap.

Stopped here because our Airbnb was close by. Had a lovely experience the first night, some we came back 2 more times during our trip. Clean and nice, good atmosphere. We ordered the chicken bites starter. Sauce was tangy and delicious. 5/5 well deserved. :)

We stumbled upon the White Swan on our first night in London. We were immediately charmed by the very authentic atmosphere. It is beautiful and cozy, but clearly very old since the stairs and floors are a little uneven. My son, who is a fish and chips connoisseur and who ate fish and chips every day of our vacation, declared the fish and chips the best he's ever had. I had the beef rib, shin and brisket pie which was wonderful and definitely the best pie I've ever had. We would HIGHLY recommend for wonderful meal that felt decidedly "London."

I love British Pubs, and The White Swan delivered! Great atmosphere in the heart of Covent Garden, great beer and I had a great dinner of Bangers and Mash followed by Sticky Toffee pudding, supplemented with a great IPA. The staff was terrific!

Booked as an after theatre venue to have dinner. A busy pub but having booked, table upstairs was ready for us. Staff very friendly and accomadating and despite a full house, the food arrived hot, quickly and was very tasty. Would absolutely return and definitly recommend. As a footnote, thank you to the wonderful staff who found my phone on the floor and kept it until I returned to very gratefully collect it. Thank you,I appreciate you. Rob

My 12 clients and I walked into the White Swan without a booking on NYD and the staff kindly found us 4 tables next to each other. The food was very nice. However, I couldn't give a higher rating as two people had to wait over an hour for their orders, one of which was a chicken salad!

We loved it! We went there for lunch, ordered fish and chips and a pie, and the crumble for pudding. Food was great , Sarah our waitress was lovely, and we had a wonderful time. We will be back!

Sarah was an excellent server, she gave my family tips about the city and making the Yorkshire puddings for a Sunday Roast.

Cozy pub at Covent Garden, unfortunately there were no hot drinks.

We had a blast!!! Burger for my wife and I I devoured a medal-winning Pie 🏅😋 Go for it, there won't be room for everyone. Incidentally, discreet but impeccable service.

We had the best evening and the best food at the white swan on Saturday(21st) our server was outstanding!! (Can’t remember their name but we were the table of 4 at 6!) Being upstairs didn’t change the experience the vibe was still good! Food was very good and service was quick considering how busy it was! Would recommend and would come again next time we are in town!

Great atmosphere and a lovely pub, but the staffing level seems insufficient. We were seated upstairs, but it was challenging to get service as there was only one staff member who was already very busy managing multiple tasks—serving food and drinks, taking orders, and tidying up tables. The staff member was friendly and did their best, but I would have expected more support to ensure a smoother experience.

This was our 2nd year running having our works christmas lunch at the White Swan. Last year's meal was wonderful and glad to say this year lived up to our high expectations. The food was amazing and we were looked after by the wonderful Sarah and the whole team at the White Swan. The first ad I made in 2019, so it has a special place in my heart! Ideally located in Covent Garden, it offers a wide choice of beers and typical dishes. The pie is obviously a must and your beer will definitely be a good choice. Very high in my favorite pubs in London!

Very average food. Ok beer selection, but some choices were out of stock when we were there. Upstairs dining room was nice, not noisy. Service was so-so, but maybe they’re just abit understaffed. Sausages in sausage and mash were burnt to bitterness on some parts. Steak and Ale pie had really dry and not tasty crust. Would not recommend.

The food was excellent, and the service truly made our day. The bartender, Sarah, was outstanding—warm, personable, and attentive. She made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed and adding charm to our afternoon. Her friendly demeanor and excellent service turned what could have been a disappointing day into a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope Sarah is there to greet us again!
