Amazing staff, great food and a beautiful place

Setting is lovely, staff are lovely. We came for Sunday roast which was also lovely, just not enough in serving. I had 2 small roast potatoes and my partner who is a big eater, picked something up on the way home. Pricier than some other great roasts we have had.

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch! The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We were seated early when a table became available. Our waiter Grace was so brilliant - attentive and went out of her way to ensure we had absolutely everything we needed! Superb - definitely going back!

It's my second time for mother's day in that place. It was absolutely amazing, delicious food, quick kind service nice atmosphere. Another great time with my daughter in that beautiful place. Is also worth to mention car park is for free and what is the best for animals lovers.. You can take them with you x

Visited on Sunday 10th of March for mother's day to treat my mom and I'm so glad I chose the white Swan, right from the start we were greeted by a wonderful lady I regret not asking her name but she was wearing a grey top and even though we were an hour early for our reservation she still gave us an option of tables that were available at the time even going out of her way to make sure we had a comfortable table I believe was in the 80s section very nice intimate corner table so we felt right at home! The manager on duty Debs was absolutely amazing even though it was mother's day and there was a lot happening in the restaurant she was very present attentive and welcoming to us and everyone I saw her talk to the atmosphere was so chilled out and serene and cosy and considering it was busy being mothers day that was a very nice surprise made it very easy to enjoy they day with my mom and the food was to DIE for honestly the mother wanted to go for a roast dinner and we were not disappointed by the white swans offer, we both had the 3 course mother's day menu and were definitely spoilt for choice, but ultimately my mother went for the spiced carrot and coriander soup and I had the creamy baked mushrooms and the starters were so good we ended up sharing, and the trio roast well what can I say every bit of meat was cooked to perfection, the gravy was so good I had to get extra (which was free by the way) and after wards after a little break we went for cheese and biscuits and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, cannot fault one aspect of my visit made my moms day to be honest she was supper happy and I have to give a special shout out to my server Josh. I work in a restaurant my self and if this young man worked for me I would be very proud the level of professionalism, attentiveness he has is second to very few if none, througho9our whole meal he was there to make sure we were having a good time and had everything we needed even with the problems we had with the allergen tablet not loading he took mine and my mothers nut allergy very seriously and waited to make sure everything was okay with our order even though it is a nut free kitchen which was told to us by the manager Debs, never the less that attention to detail really made me and my mother feel valued and comfortable in the restaurant, I will definitely be returning and bringing friends van only give 5 stars on Google but they deserve 10 Also there were a few other people that served us throughout our night some food runners and drink runners that I didn't get a chance to get their names but they were very friendly and prompt with service so they deserve a shout out, 2 gentlemen who served our food and another young lady serving our drinks 10/10 service thank you guys

We booked The White Swan for a birthday lunch for 26 in the private dining space. I was able to decorate the room in the morning thanks so much The food received lots of positive comments from guests so we were delighted Everyone had a great time and service was brilliant

For the price you get a better meal at sizzler. Our lamb was so tough we couldn't cut it let alone chew it and we ordered it rare. Mash was definitely frozen. My mushroom starter was a bowl of microwaved mushrooms with a very watery sauce. The highchairs are not high enough for the height of the tables and when my Granddaughter sneezed she nearly knocked herself out. For the price of the food you need to do much better....you competition is The Plough and they are doing if far better. We won't be back.

We used the White Swan on Thursday for a hurriedly arranged birthday gathering. The staff found us a private area by the bar which was perfect. We decided to order some table food but also had access to the dining menu. The food came quickly and was a superb standard. The highlight of our experience was the service offered by a lad named James. He was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Quite simply some of the best service we have experienced anywhere. Many thanks and will definitely visit again.

Highly recommend the white swan. The service is beyond amazing and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We love coming to the white swan as we feel it’s such a lovely place to come and unwind and the food is incredibly good.

FABULOUS!!! i didnt think i could better last night, but tall manager charlotte delivered us a masterclass in cocktail experiences. with a big smile on her face, her cocktails sang just like her voice as she serenaded us. it was refreshing to see her colleague who was so positive about everything in the world. super swingy arms double thumbs up! we will be back

Lovely food, really enjoyed that. The restaurant was very quiet and I'm not sure how many staff were available for service, but it did take a long time to place our order and then to receive our food.

Food is a bit underwhelming for the price. Service is excellent and good selection of drinks.

We’ve been a quite few times now for different occasions, including the my friends baby shower and a Birthday. The service is always 10/10, the staff are professional and accommodating. Food is fabulous and the environment is lovely too. I will continue to recommend this pub to friends/family. Love going back! See you soon!!

Dropped in for lunch after tennis today. Didn’t book in advance as was on a whim. Staff were super friendly and found a table for two for 1.5 hours, which was more than enough. Had perfectly cooked scallops on my linguine and my boy was super impressed with his dirty burger. We’ve coming to the White Swan on-and-off for the past few years. This place never disappoints.

I should start off by saying that we have been here for dinner several times over the years and have always found the food to be excellent, albeit not for a Sunday roast. When we arrived we were seated at the wobbliest table I have ever set at. No big deal, we just moved along. My partner and I ordered the duo of beef. Before I ordered, I asked the waiter if the beef is served pink, to which he said yes. The beef was well-done (pardon the pun) and was not pink in the slightest. The potatoes were underdone and not crispy at all. There were 2-3 slithers of carrot, and single slither of parsnip. By “sautéed greens” they mean a sprinkle of kale. The Yorkshire pudding was soggy, swimming in gravy. The menu boasts “unlimited gravy”. I’ve absolutely no idea what they mean by this, the gravy was already poured all over the plate and no extra gravy was offered. Nobody asked if we enjoyed the meal (I suspect they knew the answer). For £21.95pp, I expected a lot better. We arrived around 1pm, so it’s not as if it had been sitting under a lamp for hours. Quality and quantity were poor, I left still hungry. Don’t believe the reviews claiming this is “the best roast in Birmingham”. My advice, go two minutes up the road to the Plough.

Very busy on a Sunday lunchtime, despite this, the service was excellent and the food great. We were a party of 7 and the food arrived together. The staff were lovely.

Me and my fiancé visited the white swan for the wine & dine experience. We had a lovely evening great food cooked by (dan)-D the food was insane. Perfectly cooked. We were served by charlotte she was a delight. She made our experience superb! What a brilliant waitress! She is amazing. Overall the food and service were both great! I will be returning!

She’s a credit to your team, the food was amazing!!! Dan was the chef! How Incredible 10/10 for me. I highly recommend it here!

Very nice Sunday roast, and good non roast options as well. Lots of vegetarian choices too. Our server Charlotte was excellent and attentive.

Cracking pub on the outskirts of Harborne village. Great food and always a commendable selection of ales (my tipple!) that are rotated regularly. Only however is at circa £7 a pint and other costs pro-rata, one may be only able to enjoy occasionally dependent of your bank balance!

Went for new years eve, 1st time visiting, will absolutely go again. Food was amazing, Abi was delightful, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Atmosphere was great, music was good and drinks were flowing.

Had a lovely Xmas eve dinner, Tue sea bass was delicious and service was great .

First visit and I was less than impressed. On a quiet Friday 29th December evening, there wasn't much of a Christmas cheer atmosphere. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. I expected more than what was a relatively expensive but lame Margerita cocktail, poorly presented turkey and trimmings main course with undercooked veg and a sorry looking slice of Christmas pud from the Festive menu. I won't be in any rush to go back.

We were a large group of 17, meeting for a Christmas catch up & ranging in ages from 8-85. From the moment we arrived, Lucy was attentive, keen to take our drinks orders & make our lunch as relaxing as possible. All dishes were served at the same time, warm & of a high quality. Even when it came to splitting the bill, it was all managed very easily. Thank you for such a great experience, we’ll definitely be back.

Cold soup, pork belly draft that was just a strip of fat, lukewarm food - served alongside some kind of undercooked pork ball? “Pavlova” meringues were not like any meringue I’ve ever eaten! It seemed to be powdery, compacted icing sugar moulded into a frozen ball shape - it was so hard you could barely break into it - all served with a small dollop of squirty cream and three lonely raspberries. The wait in between courses felt like an eternity. The poor servers were lovely but completely rushed off their feet, there just wasn’t enough staff! Suffice to say we won’t be returning. P.S Get some lighting in the ladies toilets!

Amazing food and service which me and my girlfriend attended to together and really appreciated the staffs welcoming smile. The turkey dinner was outstanding and melted in your mouth with exceptional flavour and quality. I recommend anyone to try it out for yourself! :)

Visited for Sunday lunch as a table of 9. Was very loud in the restaurant, could hardly hear what people were saying. Food was lovely, but the service was quite poor and very slow. Our main meals took nearly an hour to arrive and everyone was having the Sunday roast. Nobody checked if we were ok, during the meal, which was disappointing as we would have liked more drinks and gravy. It took 3 hours for us to have 2 courses. Disappointing as we were celebrating a special family occasion

First time on my own and a wonderful experience as the staff made me feel very special. I cannot praise the chef Anthony enough for his attention to detail and my dietary requirements A truly wonderful experience every time I go either on my own or with friends

Had the the goat cheese sald sateter was beautiful new seabass and it was beautiful the saffron veloute just make she fish pop absolutely amazing flavours and the cheese board was very nice but needs another cheese on it complements to the chef and my server was a amazing can't remember his name but was a shirt guy with black hair and glasses.

Had a wonderful early birthday treat meal here. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a friendly face. Our waitress was also super friendly and really helpful. We decided to go for the 3 courses and had soup and the squid for starter which were both incredibly tasty. Mains were the steak and malbec pie and the rotisserie chicken, again really tasty and good sized portions. Desserts were the chocolate brownie, which you just cannot go wrong with and the mini pavloa and hot chocolate which was just perfect. Highly recommend coming here as you really won't be disappointed.

Drinks and food were served quite quickly and it was a bit busy for a lunch actually. So very pleased. Seabass was DELICIOUS and a good portion too which is nice then the chocolate brownie was so good!

Went for a family meal with our baby and it was absolutely lovely! The roasted celeriac steak off the vegan menu was absolutely delicious. I love to try vegetarian and vegan dishes and it was lovely. Then we shared the pavlova desert which is amazing! Especially when you’re feeling a little full, it’s so light and fresh. Must recommend you try it. The restaurant is lovely as well and we were given a great table with space for the pushchair which is always nice when they make sure you feel accommodated.

Came to the White Swan for a birthday party in the private dining room. Debs and Hasina were very welcoming and attentive. The dining room was perfect for the party and great to be able to add decorations to the room to make it personal.

Very poor service waited half an hour for drinks ( place was empty) items missing on one main meal was told after receiving that chef had run out! One main was no bigger than a starter and again seemed to be missing items. I even...
