Since the change in management you can really tell the difference. Paid £3.50 for a hot chocolate which was ironically cold also had clumps of coco powder in it.

Lovely place and we’ll decorated , very friendly staff as well. However the coffee tasted burned, given that is the only place in the area where to get coffee please please calibrate your coffee recipe and it’ll be 100% better and perhaps you’ll get more customers 🙏🏽 would go back with work colleagues if coffee tastes better

After first visiting the cafe, the setting was as swanky as the the Builder's breakfast that was served, with added avocado a nice touch. Jazzy coffee options but with a price to match. Unfortunately the second visit wasn't filled with the same love after being informed of the breakfast menu being minimised. Worth a visit.

Always loved the atmosphere here. Only thing I'd say is there was no vegan food on the menu and the only dairy-free milk they had was Soya (which I tolerated lol). I also never said I was taking my drink away but they gave it to me in a disposable cup which I then sat on the premises with.

Myself and my new wife Louisa got married here (at Fazely Studios) yesterday 3rd July 2021. It was better than we ever could have hoped for. All throughout the uncertainty of COVID the team (especially Katie) was remarkably flexible and accommodating. They went out of their way to make the process easy and stress-free even as things were changing right down to 2 weeks before our planned date! We had a very generous food tasting and the menu was extremely good value for money. The food itself was excellent and extra canapes were put on for vegetarians so that they had more variety at no extra cost. The day before we were allowed to come and set up which was great and the staff there - Luke and Esther were both friendly and helpful beyond the normal level. It made the running of the day so much easier. On the actual day everything ran so smoothly, even with the changes that had to be made last minute for COVID (such as table service only and no bars). The venue was gorgeous and there was the added benefit of a nesting duck in the wonderful courtyard!! Nothing went wrong at all and Luke made sure that everything ran smoothly, including pushing the ceremony back a little bit. The venue itself is a converted church/warehouse with wonderful high ceilings and natural lighting. The decor is quite indie with all sorts of different old chairs and amazing art work. The ceremony and food halls are also separate so there is no big delay or hanging around at any time. We just want to say thank you for everything and I cannot recommend this venue and the team highly enough. What you get for your money is extraordinary especially given what other similar venues were charging. These are up and coming places and you should consider giving them a go, as I think they will only become more popular. Thank you so much Louisa and Jade xxx

First time here in many months .. grand new decor is lovely. Menu less lovely ... and surprisingly my food was really quite unpleasant ... I had the lamb n mint burger which I swear was straight out of Costco or Iceland ... processed and kind of nasty. My colleagues had a range of other items from soup to baked potatoes and Thai curry .. the Thai dish seems to be the freshest and most tasty dish and sparked much food envy ... usually, or perhaps previously is a better word my experience of fazeley is that the food is good and fresh, having a type of rustic made here feel to it ... Of course the venue remains a beautiful and spacious place and so you still kind of enjoy the experience ... if you land for lunch the Thai curry is recommended and the sweet potato fries

The tasty food is let down by the quality of service. I don’t understand why the people who work here look down at their customers...we were served by two different ladies and both hardly made any effort. We have many business meeting at coffee bars/cafes and service here has to be the poorest. Shame because it’s a nicely decorated place and you can smell the tasty food being cooked in the kitchen as you walk past the outside of the building.

Had a private function here for an awards evening, and the security were incredible rude and treated us with no respect. There was one woman security guard who searched our bags throughout the night and held the bathroom door open whenever anyone would go to the bathroom. While we were sat for our dinner and awards she would pace around the room and picked up any drink that wasn't clearly wine or prossecco and smell it which made everyone feel highly uncomfortable and on edge. This is a shame considering we paid a lot of money to be there. Herself and her 'security manager' that he liked to make clear to everyone, kicked people out for no reason whatsoever, there was no trouble from us. So for that reason, I wouldn't recommend having an event there as they make guests feel highly unwelcome and ruined many people's evening. Thanks for nothing!

No me impresionó.

Great place that I found by accident. From the outside it really doesn't look like much at all. But, go inside and you'll be very surprised. It is really good inside. It's light, bright, lots of open space with a courtyard, a bar and serviced tables. Also, unlike lots of other places, the food is done fresh, not pulled out of a counter. Prices were very good considering that this isn't a normal workday lunch café, it is certainly a notch further up than that. I can't fault the place at all, but, parking around there is terrible. It's best to walk, or, you'll end up parking that far away, you may as well have walked in the first place.

From the outside, you'd think this place begrudgingly sold bacon butties and a builder's tea at most. Once inside this part of the Fazeley complex, it's clear that's not the case at all. Firstly, the staff are all wonderful - they don't bug you, but they're always very familiar. There's a lady that I think must be in charge, and in charge she very much is - I often see her coaching the team of younger girls, and its great to see how patient she is with them. The place itself is a fabulous space, with an outdoor courtyard that's perfect for this weather (they put a BBQ on today!!) and an airy, cosy inside restaurant that's generally populated with local professionals. And the food - it's very on-trend, with ingredients tending to include sweet potato, peri-peri, halloumi, chorizo etc - but the point is it's all very very nice, very fresh, HUGE portions and most of all SO CHEAP. (I pray they don't read this and up the prices!). I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure a whole peri chicken breast is somewhere in the region of £1.85. Couple that with a side salad (which is more like an actual salad full of fresh, crunchy vegetables) and you've got a perfect lunchtime meal. I recommend the peri chicken flatbread - again, massive portions of all sorts of niceness. The actual menu is vast anyway, and there's an 'add-on' section that I tend to just pick bits from (be warned - don't pick too many because your side salads will have side salads!! 2/3 is ample, but 5/6 and you've got a great sharing dish). The coffee is perfectly acceptable too (I don't think they make to much of a meal out of it, but it's tasty). In short, it really is a hidden gem that we revisit on a daily basis, whether it's for breakfast or lunch (I'm pretty sure they stop serving food around 4pm as there are often private functions on). Definitely worth a visit if you're local!

This is a great cafe/restaurant that is hidden away in the back streets of Digbeth. In a beautifully restored old building, it serves great food for incredibly reasonable prices. They have a range of veggie & carnivorous food that is all prepared on site. The range covers sandwiches, jacket potatoes, burgers and main courses and can be eaten on the premises or taken out. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are also available and similarly well priced. The cafe opens for breakfast at 8.30 and stays open late at the end of the week. Food: - Fries were the only thing to compliment, which isn't a compliment in itself as it's not hard to cook fries properly - Fajita salad bowl was comprised of salty mush avocado, a ball of coriander, marinated peppers that contributed to how wet everything was, black beans were the only nice part, shredded cabbage and sloppy rice at the bottom - everything was just so wet - Chicken added onto salad bowl was £5 for 2 pieces of burnt, oily chicken, each the shape and size of drinks coasters - Hot dog itself was small, burnt and just tasted like rubber and the bun was hard and stale - "Tacos" were just mini wraps with a bit of mayo, shredded cabbage and sad little balls of fried shrimp Service: - For such a quiet place on a Weds evening, no one came to check if the food was alright, there was barely any cutlery or napkins as we had to go to 2 other different tables to get what we needed Cleanliness - Loos were hard to find, labelled with a sign that blends into the wall, about the size of my hand, down the side of the bar. Loos smelled unclean, cig butts over the floor and just looked and felt dirty, at least they had baylis harding soap but you could say that was compensating - Tables felt sticky However, they did have a good selection of drinks available
