Arrived with mobility chair. The pub had ample parking, with easy access. Ordering was easy and the service was fantastic. The food had flavours unlike any other pub food. Really impressed. Thanks to Carlos & Damian for such a lovely meal and Jay, Natalie and Claire for making our afternoon worthwhile.

Very busy on a weekend and needing security on the door at peak times doesn't fill one with confidence. The drinks and service were good food was mediocre at best and poritions inconsistent

Food was splendid, quick service, very friendly just amazing . Stake was fabulous, burgers fantastic. Were very surprised of the food quality. Definitely recommend coming here with family.

Had a few Madris beers and 2 steak sandwiches. Sat outside for the initial beers in the sunshine and ate the food inside. Delicious food and fantastic helpful and friendly staff.

Absolutely loved the vegan options on the menu! The lasagna was so delicious! Thank you to the chefs Damien Emily and Alex for making the food so delicious. Came in today for small family meal, Table pre booked was waiting and clearly marked for us . Food and drinks ordered at the bar hardly any wait at all . Food arrive in a short space of time and looked amazing ,also tasted great to. Staff very friendly and attentive (thank you Liam).Took full advantage of the set menu 3 courses for just over £12 Overall a wonderful afternoon .

The vegan cheesecake takes you to another dimension.... The staff are amazing, namely Elias, Suzanne and Natalie.... Not to forget Damian, Emily and Alex!

Popped in here after a walk round Lickey country park, I'm glad I did, mixed grill and pork belly were fantastic. Definitely going again, next time I'm in the area.. All staff fantastic, usually there's 1 miserable one in a pub, but here, all very friendly especially bar lady with the glasses, didn't see her name, and the fellow serving the food Monday at 4pm is, and compliments to the chef etc. Toilet looked a bit rough but that's my only fault...

Yo mismo, 2 amigos y mis 2 nietos llamaron mientras salíamos a caminar. El personal, especialmente Lana era conversador, amable y muy acogedor. La cerveza era excelente, fría con una cabeza perfecta, y la comida llegó rápidamente y era sabrosa. Todos disfrutamos. Lo recomendaría y sin duda volvería a visitar si en la zona.

Éramos una fiesta mixta de nueve incluyendo dos niños, toda nuestra comida salió a los quince minutos de pedir y estaba caliente y muy, muy sabroso, he comido aquí durante años y debo decir que esto tiene que ser lo mejor que hemos comido y la ensalada de col casera era para morirse, sin duda volveremos muy pronto, Liam nuestro servidor era un cariño que era amable sonriendo y nos preguntó a todos cómo estábamos haciendo un toque encantador a pesar de que estaba ocupado. Y un saludo a los chefs Carlos y Mia Excelentes comidas gracias a todos.

Amazing service from Keenan Sarah and Elias. Had a great night, brilliant vibe. Chris served out food and was amazing. Jim came over to say hello as we are locals. That personal touch keeps us coming back. It feels like family. I’m glad I have this place as my local. There is literally no where like this around here

Went with a friend 9th April for a catch up over food and drink, greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our table near the loos which was great as my clumsy mate on crutches (again!!🤣) My friend had the mixed fish with chips and I had a halloumi skewer, both delicious, ate it all, great value for money even before blue light discount. It was quite busy but we still had excellent service, will definitely re visit, thank you

Food was amazing and excellent value. What stood out tho was the service, bar staff are always friendly and Liam was very attentive, brought our food out, checked back on us to make sure everything was OK, he's was very chatty with us and other groups in the beer garden. Lovely guy!

Took them 1 hour and 15 minutes for 2 chicken kebabs. Food wasn’t very nice either would not recommend.

Myself and my partner received exceptional customer service from Suzanne and Sarah for our evening meal. Both were extremely polite and professional where the food was cooked to high standards. Highly recommend to all who wish to be greeted with friendly, approachable staff.

We had a great evening at the Old Hare & Hounds in Rednal. We often go their for an evening meal and a drink and the food is all fantastic and they have a great selection of beers/ ales. The atmosphere is always great in there. The staff Suzanne, Sarah, Natalie, Mia and Carmen are always so friendly, happy and polite and will do anything for you. They even share their jelly tots with my husband and he was so happy. 🫢😂🤣 Thanks you all for another great evening. We will be back again soon.

Really enjoyed dinning here this evening. The service from Sarah, Natalie and Suzanne was excellent. Friendly welcome at the bar on arrival, attentive waitress service and a genuine interest in the customer experience.

Service is appalling, decided to try our first UK pub. Arrived at this pub stood at the bar table for ten minutes with staff just casually passing my family and I. My wife went to another section of the bar table had to fight for attention. When she eventually got it surprisingly there wasn’t any space available for us. We left walked just a few feet down the street to another pub and was served and greeted with dignity. I would try another pub if you aren’t British and looking for a warm welcome.

I came here for lunch with two mates after a walk up the Lickey Hills. For starters, I had the sweet potato, chickpea and apricot falafel bites. These were very tasty, especially with the chilli sauce relish. For mains, I had the hunters chicken schnitzel. The chicken was juicy and the BBQ sauce along with cheese was delicious. For drinks I had a pint of Wingman (Brewdog) followed by a pint of Hophead (Dark Star Brewing). My mates both had main courses, we were all extremely satisfied with our meal.

We called in for an impromptu Sunday lunch after walking round the Lickey hills and we were so impressed with the food, value for money and staff. We'll definitely back to our new favourite local. Thanks so much to Jim and the team!

First visit here, passing through with family. Suzanne was very patient with our complicated food order, even checking back with us about some details. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

‘Fluffy head’ always makes you feel at home and at ease!

Currently sat next to a log fire in the beautiful clean pub. Not from the area we called in on a whim for lunch while working close by, and we are not disappointed. We opted for 2 3 course meals for £11.99, fresh piping hot and just the right amounts. Staff are lovely. Will definitely be coming back if in the area again and will recommend to other colleagues

I didn't get served by the other nice woman but she was also very friendly and helpfulLiam who attended us was very friendly and polite.. he also supplied our son with some colouring and puzzles which was a nice touch. My friend and I had lunch here today, salad with grains and I have tandoori skewer and my friend had the same but with the halloumi cheese. The best salad I have every had I mean that! We will be back. Staff lovely and friends. Pub nice and warm and not too crowded as we went at 3.00 pm. Highly recommend this pub and they are dog friendly too!

Lovely afternoon, enjoyed excellent meal with friends, the hospitality here is so nice Clare and Liam are so welcoming would recommend the rainbow lasagne it’s so tasty.

I visited yesterday and Suzanne was amazing, nothing was too much trouble she was bubbly and friendly and gave some good recommendations for lunch, will definitely visit again

Food was lovely and pub really nice. Great place to visit as we were celebrating our nieces birthday. Shout out to Liam, very professional and attentive. Even bringing out the birthday day cake was no trouble. Great value and choice on menue.

Had a very good meal, well cooked and quality ingredients, only downside was the wait, arrived with about 6 people waiting at the bar and only one person serving. After placing the order for food we had quite a long wait for it to be brought to the table, but it was good ;) Visited again yesterday The food was very good, plentiful, cooked well, nicely presented. Served fairly quickly One issue was the table (3) wasn’t really big enough for 4 people, we had to take everything off it to make room for the four dinner plates.

We eat here quite often and the meals are good. As with most places the drinks are expensive

Generally like this pub, food usually good but Christmas day was disappointing, starter good, mum's sea bass meal was awful, king prawns were tiny prawns, potatoes weren't as advertised not sauteyed very disappointed me and my husband's dinners turkey dinners were okay

Had lunch with a couple of friends. We all had the rainbow lasagne which was delicious, beautifully presented, and piping hot. The staff, Claire and Neil, were extremely friendly and helpful . Toilets were clean- always a good indication of how good a place is. It’s a great place for lunch and we will definitely be back.

Great food, lovely staff but it was so cold in there and the fire wasn't lit. Shame we had to sit in our coats! Please light the fires in winter, that's the point of visiting an Ember inn, a fireside dining experience that disappointed 😞

Exceptional food, good service and a good atmosphere in a busy pub.

Updated, visited in 2024. It was not great, staff were clearly stressed and rude. We'd booked as a group and they'd clearly forgotten. Won't be back again in a hurry.

Pretty standard suburban Ember Inn/Mitchell & Butlers The location is well placed to the lickey hills and cofton park. Decent car park Reasonable beer selection but nothing amazing for real drinkers Best thing is they allow dogs!

Lasagne was very different. Not sure I'd have it again.

Every time I have been the lady in the glasses behind the bar has ruined my experience with her rudeness, unsure if she is a manager or not with the way she acts, but the way she has treated me on more then one occasion has made sure I won’t be frequenting this establishment again.

Christmas day dinner a big thank you to the staff. We had a wonderful Christmas day from the atmosphere to the food. Staff were in the Christmas spirit nothing too much even with how busy it was however food served in a timely manner in between each course was not rushed. We had the table for nearly 3 hours. The food was excellent worth the price would go again and recommend this place for Christmas dinner.

Everything was well organised plenty of staff on so wasn't queuing to get drinks very reasonably priced my mum was in a wheelchair and she was easily accommodated and felt comfortable staff were very efficient and friendly overall we were all pleased with our Christmas Dinner

Went for lunch today as a group of 4. Ordered meal deal for 2 courses. My soup was thick and warm obviously not heated enough. 3 of us had fisherman's catch 1 had tartar 2 given mayo plus the usual slice of lemon was lime. When asking bout tartar guy said oh yes we have some now and brought some as we where finishing meal.plus pudding was nice. Overall it felt very disorganised. Also 2 ladies on bar really did not want to be there and the one that served us made us feel a nuisance shame as been before and was impressed.
