Bill's Bullring in Birmingham

Firstly the food we had was excellent and we all enjoyed. However i have marked them down because of the "optional" service tax of 12.5%. You should pay your staff properly and that would not be necessary. We are going to way of USA and expecting patrons to pay extra to cover low wages. They also do not take cash. I only tip in cash but if a business does not take cash then i do not tip.

We visited Bill's today and its saving grace was a waiter called Bienvenue - hence the title. Bienvenue is the reason this restaurant got 4 stars and not 2. Service was slow, it was like we had been forgotten, then along came our saviour Bienvenue - we werent even on his section, but he walked by our table and saw we werent eating, immediately stopped, asked if we had ordered and then took our order. He was proactive, happy, positive, enthusiastic and energetic. Our original waiter could learn a lot from him for sure. Bienvenue deserves to be given the highest commendation and even promoted - to be fair they need a new manager, as we witnessed the manager today shouting at and bullying his staff in full view of his customers... Not a good or professional way to act in a customer facing environment. I am hoping his bosses read this and act accordingly, by speaking to staff and getting him out of there. The food (Hippy Bowl) tasted good, but took forever to arrive. We ordered a drink that had to be reordered after waiting 20 minutes. My dessert was bizarre and expensive - Bills Flowerpot... Would not recommend. The cauliflower dish was tasty and the sauce on the halloumi fries was really good. Service is what let the place down (with the exception of Bienvenue of course) and we didnt feel it was good value for money for what you got (we took ourselves and 3 kids and it was £110 - almost a fiver for a lemonade though 😲). That said the kids menu wasnt bad value at £7.95 for 2 courses. We expect the name to change to "Bienvenue's" at some point in the future. Whatever he does, he is going to excel at. We're big fans (if you hadnt already guessed) and I would definitely recommend him to any future employer. Well done and thankyou buddy, you saved our visit.

A big thank you to Perry for his kindness, understanding and efficiency. Supporting a young adult with autism has its challenges especially when dietary needs are quite specific . Perry enabled us to sit in an area of the restaurant that wasn’t busy so the adult would relax, he used the adults name and engaged with him and also made sure our request regarding food were adhered to. This is not always the case when we eat out. Thank you so much Perry we will be coming back Food was delicious also😁

The app wasn't working properly so I went up to the till. There was already one customer waiting, we both continued to wait whilst two employees had a chat and completely ignored us. I believe a ?manager walked past and asked them to serve the waiting customers. The one employee carried on messing with the till with her bank card in her hand. Another ?manager/senior came behind the till and again, asked why there were several people waiting to be served. The employees response "I'm just sorting my food" (I presume was sorting their personal meal) and continued to mess with the till. I understand everyone is entitled to a break, or a chat with your work colleagues. Its very often, a thankless job. I just don't think there is any excuse for being rude and point blank ignoring paying customers.

Order food for collection I came early and luke got out food straight away . I forgot to order a drink and he went and got us one no problem . He was really friendly and welcome . Big shoutout to Luke for top customer service

Although very busy on a Friday night all the staff were so friendly and really made you feel welcome. It doesn’t take much just to have a short conversation at each table. It made all the difference. Thank you! By the way the food was good too 😂

This was the worst experience ever. The manager clearly had no idea how to assist customers. I ordered a platter and redeemed a free half chicken using the points on my account. The woman at the till assured me that she had added the half chicken to my order. However, while waiting, I noticed some items were missing. When I asked about it, I was told the woman at the till had made a mistake and hadn’t put it through. I explained the issue to the manager, but instead of resolving it, they insisted the woman at the till hadn’t made any mistake, even though the order was incomplete. To make matters worse, the manager told me to complain to head office and basically asked us to leave. Their attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. Other staff members avoided taking responsibility, even though the woman at the till admitted her mistake. Absolutely disgraceful service.

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and was served by Bien. The level of service from him was excellent. He was attentive and funny. He is a real gentleman. Breakfast was great and fresh. Amazing portion size and value for money.

Not been to Nandos for a long time this was the first visit here in Birmingham

It’s was our early afternoon team lunch, for a group of 15 people, the atmosphere was a great and pleasant service was welcoming. The food was delicious as usual.

Probably the worst Nandos experience of my life. Order was placed via app, the food was delivered to our table quite fast. The mash was stone cold, i took the bowl to the manager and he had asked if it was cold without me saying anything, common issue? All but one order was with peri chips, non arrived peri, when i asked for peri salt it seemed like i was asking for the keys to the safe. The service girl who i asked looked at me, and just walked away with no intention of coming back. I had to go up a 2nd time and only a few were given. 1 platter was ordered, but nobody thought to provide extra plates? The usual bird collection and asking if the meal was ok was only done at the end of the meal once i had gotten up, its like they knew i had some feedback. So rather than getting it in person, everyone can see now

We went to Nando’s on Boxing Day, the food was cold. My husband and my toddler and myself who is pregnant had food poisoning from what we had, if you love you family keep away from this place it is very dirty and the staff wasn’t Friendly. The people who were cooking wasn’t Wearing any hair net. The toilet for disabled and kids were so dirty And it hasn’t been Cleaned in days. The music in the toilet was so loud to scared my toddler. This place is not safe for anyone.

We have been at this restaurant 3 times, once lat year and twice this year. We think it’s good value for money and the burgers served was amazing. (27&28 December) Let me break it down: Positive: - food was amazing ( for the price) I had two days in a row the burger and it’s worth the money ( even though the second night they forgot to put thyme on the fries, and toasted the hamburger bun to much) - last year we went for lunch. Same time of year, food great and considering the demand good service - during the trip I had a few burgers and this is the only place that asked if I like medium or well done Negatives : - I ordered a beer and two waiters brought the the drink. Manager told the staff off in front of us. Next time maybe just accept the free beer and staff will be happy staff 27 was so much better than the 28th. They deserve a salary rise not a telling off. - sales tactics - do you want bacon and cheese on the burger? We straight away add 3 pounds to the order. I am not against asking the question. But phrase it differently, cannot remember the exact price but if the said would you like to add chess for 1.5 or bacon for 2.5 pounds. This way you know it’s extra. Also think it was the same with water, trying to get extra from the table We will be back next year

Have been to a few Bill's restaurants and they are usually very good. Sadly not the case here. Brought the wrong order out for my 6 year old son and for me. By the time they had brought my son's meal, the rest of us had finished eating. Did take it off the bill which was a nice gesture but lame attempt at offering dessert. Tried to pay bill scanning the QR code on the table and it was the bill for the table next to us. Waiter tried to blame the IT (no apology). When the bill did come it included a service charge. The Bill's I have been in before have always been busy and this place was empty - I should have seen that as a warning sign. Would recommend trying elsewhere first.

Horrible service. One extremely slow till in a busy restaurant. After 20 minutes of waiting. we were told that we were supposed to have ordered through the QR code and the till is only for allergy orders. Even after explaining that we were not told that the manager's ( Jess) answer was u will have to wait extra 5 minutes for asking the question. Very unhelpful to a frustrating experience.

Came here for Brunch at 9am. Good memories of Bills brunch but food was really poor. Ordered avocado toast with poached egg and smoked salmon. Plate was so hot from sitting under the lights that the avocado and salmon were discolored and cooking. Also ordered Bills brunch. Sausage was missed and all the food looked like it was cooked 3 hours before. Really poor for what should be simple meals. Staff were pleasant though, shame about the chef.

Managers and staffs all chitchatting and hugging no concerns of customers whatsoever Writing this while I'm waiting on food; Ordered houmous with pitta Houmous - texture was like they gave us old left over from morning Asked for straw which I could see right behind counter and manager says sorry we don't have any. Wings - cold and smelly Quater chicken - sauces brilliantly marinated from outside but chicken is pink inside means still raw. I do recommend one staff who was very helpful with the service - Pat 5* Would give 0, seems as managment has changed here

Food was lukewarm and the chicken quite greasy, not bad service and fairly prompt.

Service was terrible asked the waited for a update on my food and said they would check for me. But never got back to me had to go up my self and ask for a update. Waited over 45minutes for food, when people arrived after me, received their food.

I visited here on a Saturday afternoon and as expected it was very busy, however, the staff worked hard to get the queue down and I was seated within a few minutes. Staff were all very friendly, and food came quickly despite the place being busy. Food was fresh, warm and tasty. Would recommend this place.

Visited Nandos with my children on Wed 27th Nov, around 8:30pm. Despite a busy period due to the football, the staff were upfront about the wait time for our chicken, which we appreciated. Though it took a bit longer than expected, the gentleman on the floor kept us informed, which was a nice touch. When the food arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait! Hands down, one of the best-cooked meals I've ever had at Nandos (and we visit often) perfectly cooked and so fresh. Excellent service and food!

I love Nando’s and this place was one of the better. The staff were on it at all times and food service was very quick. Overall it was great.

Tasty food, although at the time we visited they had a limited menu on there was still enough selection to choose a good meal from. Vegetarian options provided too. Service speed was ok considering how busy it was. Food ordered through the app on ur phone. Had a 15 min wait to be seated. Some food arrived without the full order being completed for example the peri salted chips had no peri salt. Halloumi had no sauce with it. But because so busy couldn't ask anyone for it to be rectified be4 the food became cold. All in all a tasty meal. Would return but book a table in advance to reduce waiting time at the beginning.

We had a meal in the Bullring Nandos today. Have to say that the meal was delicious and the service especially of from Ravi was great. Well done to the Nandos team. Yummy food it was :)

John was the guy who served us our meals even after the delay of waiting for food which was about 20-25 mins. it felt as if it was a bit disorganised as there was a bay full of food but it felt as if there was no movement until management turned up on floor. John was lovely, he was running around on floor, bar and run and to his credit he did well :) thank you x

I came here for the fully loaded chips. They were out of stock of cheese! I wanted to sit in the booth the guy said no you can’t, 5 mins late two booths were free he didn’t have the courtesy to tell me that they’re available. I had to ask myself another member of staff to move there. I ordered nuts for starters, I got such a small portion for £4!!! It was a kids portion and that in a massive bowl as they had no small bowls! Rubbish service, rubbish food. Waste of time.

I didn’t know the food selection for Nandos as I haven’t been their for a long time, However, Tanisa patiently helped me through the menu to pick a good nandos selection, she was very kind and respectful. And as I was waiting for my food a friendly lad called Jev was nothing but nice to us and even offered us a good amount of the Nandos Peri Mayo. As I’m from London and won’t be visiting to give them more praise I’m sure the manager should!!!

First time trying a Nandos. Wasn't keen on waiting in a long line outside to get a table. The staff were all friendly. Ordered on the app to save waiting in another queue to order food and drinks. Food and drinks arrived quickly. The chicken was nice. The chips were bland but only ordered normal plain chips so may have to try the seasoning ones next time.

Came here Sunday afternoon it was rather busy but the service was still spectacular! Manager greeted us with a smile and sat us down. Waitress was very attentive! My son was funny about ordering the nduja pasta as he was hell bent on having it but we were concerned it was spicy, so the manager got us a sample to try and he loved it! Thank you to everyone who helped us.

We had literally the best customer service from Sofia. She is so kind, knowledgeable and so professional in the way she handled my entire dinning experience. The food was also very great in here. I forgot my valuables on the table and she kept it safe for me and returned to me. She is the best waitress i've had and i am so glad and happy that she was our waitress.

I always eat in Nando's. My opinion is that it's the best restaurant in Birmingham...

Went in there for a meal with the missus and son as he is starting uni there and when we arrived there was hardly anyone there as it was around 9pm we ordered and it took 45mins to turn up as when I have been In other nandos I have never had to wait so long only good thing about it was they gave us some custard pastry cos of waiting so long

I placed a substantial order, but to my disappointment, the £32 order never arrived. When I contacted the restaurant to resolve the issue, they claimed that no such order had been placed. This experience was incredibly frustrating and left me without my food or any solution. Based on this, I can't recommend this place. Could I get a refund or some form of compensation, please?

I've visit here once before and was very impressed by the service and food; this visit was even better! Genuine, friendly & welcoming service from every staff member, they know their stuff and the food and drinks were marvellous. I think I may become quite the regular here - thank you!!

The environment of this restaurant is very unique and we loved the interiors, the staff was absolutely amazing and took care of me and my friend in an excellent way, we had a great meal, the food was amazing, especially their fried calamari! It’s a gem in the bullring shopping centre, totally recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed this venue. Came here one of the nights for my birthday trip visit. The hostess was really friendly and we were seated promptly. The managers work hard and we're serving customers as well as overseeing the running of the restaurant. It's in a city center location which is busy but the service and atmosphere is top notch.

Amazing staff brilliant with allergies understood everything said and lovely pleasant atmosphere happy to eat here again definitely will be back smashing 5* service you should be proud great value for my money too

had a lovely chat with frankie who checked up on us. Fatou and brian the gaffah and paula have shown extra customer service. fatou went above and beyond took her time and even helped us out choosing the write combinations. kept pestering brian but he answered me all the time and helped me out. the portugese wine was lovely thanks to fatimah making it easy for us to choose.very enthiusastic staff. excellent food we had the full chicken platter with 4 sides it was amazing. the extra hott sauce was not hot for me.but they were out of stock with fuso chillie calm and lovely environment. we ate like kings. trying to get us pissed early hours of the afternoon need extra extra hot hot sauce for the apnar guests

Nando’s is a traditional British grilled chicken restaurant. I often order the Double Chicken Pitta, which includes chicken breast with additional grilled halloumi cheese, vegetables, and cheese. It’s very satisfying with each bite. The boneless chicken thighs are also quite good—very tender and served with Lemon & Herb sauce. Overall, it's decent.

Predictably consistent good quality food. Excellent online ordering app, using the QR code at the table. Only grumble is that the drinks weren't brought to the table before the food was brought out, and even then I had to ask for the drinks and continue to wait longer. What made it worse was that 3 out of 4 of us had ordered bottomless drinks. They only had to put 3 empty glasses on our table so not sure why the long wait? We had to leave our half-eaten meals to go cold while we queued up to fill our glasses at the drinks machine. Something normally done well before the food is brought out. Decided to order an ice cream after the main. Waited 20 minutes to he given the empty cardboard pot. Which only came after I complained about the wait. Shame, as it took the edge off a family Nando's meal which we like to treat ourselves to once in a while.

Food was nice but didn’t like how all the meals came out at different times. Kids meals came out first we thought great but they had nearly finished by the time one other meal came and then I had to wait a further 5 minutes for mine

I’ve been here 3 times now. The first time I got lemon and herb wings which came burnt that they tasted like charcoal- no flavour. The next two times I ordered a chicken wrap and my friend a chicken burger in mild seasoning with garlic bread and the garlic bread was bland. Overall decent experience as long as you don’t get the wings.

Great food unfortunately half are food came at different times to eachother so half are table of 5 we’re eating and others where not other than that great service freindly staff and fun vibe

FOH team really needs sorting out. There was a queue to get sat in the restaurant despite tables being free. Once sat, the dining area was a mess with litter on sides, drip trays full of ice and sauce sides not restocked. Team members were taking 1 or 2 things at a time to potwash despite there being lots of tables that need clearing We ordered a bottle of beer and wasn't given a glass. When the food came we had a meal missing and then when we notified the staff there was no apology. D&A of FOH team members was also awful. Food was okay but FOH service was awful.

Absolutely amazing. I am a 50 year old man that went there with my wife. Unfortunately after the food arrived I became extremely ill but not because of the food but just my health. I was on the verge of passing out and couldn't move or speak with my eyes not being able to open. The manager (Sally) was absolutely amazing. Took care of me and made sure everything was good. Didn't leave our side even though it was very busy in the shop and called ambulance to help. On top of all of that she didn't take the payment for our table and food even after my wife had offered. I appreciate the Sally for the customer service and I will definitely be visiting again when I feel better.

Great meals and drinks. Excellent choice of gluten free meals for my daughter. All staff were helpful and friendly. Daughter’s meal was prepared with great care which made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Enjoyed our first visit . Food was great and the guy who served us ( Bien) was fantastic- really friendly and knowledgeable, a credit to his employer. Overall , a very pleasant experience. We will certainly return soon .

Our food was given to wrong table and after we asked for the full order the staff realised that the order was on the wrong table and he wanted us to accept the food which was already touched by someone else!!!

Was in a rush transferring from nearby New Street to Moor Street stations - waitress incredibly helpful at making sure food got out on time (13mins after ordering) - super quick and friendly service! Beautiful location next to St Martin's Church as well

Went with my friend on a late Friday evening Had the 1/2 chicken and 2 chips meal Was served a by a lovely young lady Maryam. She had excellent customer service and a friendly polite manner. Food came quickly piping hot. will definitely come again

We ordered a full platter and waited at least half an hour for it to arrive and it came cold , the chicken was so so dry and the four sides was so small I was shocked. Worst nandoes I have ever had I haven’t had nandoes in a very long time so I was very disappointed this time round. I won’t be having nandoes again it’s over rated now anyway unfortunately.

It is a well-known restaurant, and there is no mistake. The food is delicious and varied, the quantity is large, the service is fast, the prices are according to your request, and the place is clean and large.

Great full English breakfast. Well presented Flat White coffees. Staff very friendly and engaging. Good price for breakfast. Been before and will go again. Constructive comment to management, some of the 2 people tables are far to small and squashed in which makes it not such a nice experience.

Went to the restaurant thinking they would have gluten free options. They had to call manager to take my order which was fine. However the only option for me was plain chicken and this is what I got last time I went there was an option for a salad on side or no side one side or two it’s changed completely. Once our orders came the lady who served it made it publicly known it was an allergen chicken which made me feel alienated my partner was appalled by this and now has stated we won’t be going again. It’s not hard to get gluten free bread or pita and a place like that should have these options. Please consider this as it’s not a choice to be gluten free especially for me so my favourite place has now been ditched because the company is out of touch.

I’ve been wanting to go to Bill’s for a long time but never had. My daughter has visited this restaurant several times. We went for the brunch menu just after noon, and we weren’t disappointed. It was busy but we were both seated quickly. Table service was provided by a lovely waitress, who was polite and professional. Drinks and food came very quickly after ordering. I had eggs Benedict with a flat white and my daughter has a full breakfast with apple juice. Portions were generous and very filling. Both meals were delicious. We would definitely come back again.

I’ve just been into the Birmingham bullring bills and I am absolutely disgusted after waiting 20 minutes for our drinks not to show I went up to our server and asked her where our drinks were, and if the food was put through, I have just tried to scan to pay because we were in a rush, and I couldn’t find our order when talking to the polite waitress, she honestly explained that she hadn’t put through our order yet. I understand that these things happen which is absolutely fine. A bold gentleman then got involved and explained I would have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for our food. I was appalled at this I would already waited 20 when we first arrived. I explained to the waitress we were in a rush however understood that would have to wait a minimum of 15 minutes for our food. She said our food wouldn’t be more than 15 minutes because they weren’t very busy , the gentleman explained that he could get our drinks but we would have to wait for the food which I understand. When I said it wouldn’t be more than 20 minutes. He said yes it will be around 25 minutes I think he’s attitude was disgusting and I think it’s appalling to make us wait near 40 minutes for our food and apparently a not busy night. Absolutely disgusting. Why would I ever want to return awaiting to do a TripAdvisor because no one should receive that service! Waitress was more than apologetic, and I appreciate these things happen. However, the bowl gentleman didn’t need to get involved

Great atmosphere. From Grannies to new babies. Delicious brunch, served by lovely friendly staff. Was very busy, (and it was a Monday!), still great service and lots of smiles. Good location and we sat at a window, so could people watch too.

Archit was a fantastic waiter and was quick to bring the bottomless pancakes. The restaurant was affordable and had a good energy, I would recommend coming here to get a solid meal.

She threw up 30 mins later after eating from here just before her last bus stop. This isn't a drink, drug issue or prior food issue as she'd had no complaints earlier. The chicken wings gave her food poisoning and /or the hygiene is horrendous. Now going through these reviews wish I'd looked up in advance. She is still vomiting and diarrhea with fever 4 hours later.

Really great food, atmosphere was cozy, quick service for seats and food. Furthermore waiters are very friendly and helpful.

Our server Archit (aka Linda) was fab. All of the staff were funny and helpful and absolutely fantastic. Food was great as well.

Poor service! Took over 20 minutes to get seated at a table that wasn’t even cleaned, when we weren’t informed there was a wait time to begin with. We then weren’t served, took over 30 minutes to get somebody to come ever to take a drinks order. We had to get out of our seats to find somebody each time (to order drinks, food and to pay), as we were completely forgotten about. Then proceeded to be shocked when I asked for the 12.5 servers fee to be taken off the bill. Food was not good enough to make going back worth it.

Amazing brunch spot! Lovely food and coffe with a nice service, totally recommend! I had the pancakes with fruit and my friend had the brunch plate, everything seemed freshly made and was very nice. The drinks were also very good and our server was taking good care of us. This is a nice spot for a day trip to Birmingham if you are looking for a nice meal.

Visited here on Saturday with some friends for a quick bite to eat - service was impeccable, food on point and all served promptly. Couldn't ask for more - the host was especially helpful and welcoming, explained the allergy process in great detail (my friend is allergic to peanuts) and put us all at ease! Didn't catch his name annoyingly! Thank you - will definitely be back!

Food was decent quality servers were friendly but watch out for "optional "Gratuity charge of 12.5% that is automatically added to your bill

The last time I came 2017 when it was open new but service was not great but I been last Saturday.Nice place to go to eat with family and friends. Customer service was fabulous. Diogo is great. He took my order and was very helpful. Great custom service from him.
