Amie behind the bar took perfect care of us and every drink was served as soon as I was at the bar from my first visit! Perfect service and a lovely environment

On Saturday I came here for a bottomless brunch. I can tell you what. You won’t be disappointed the lovely GM “RO” and the assistant GM “Sam” where on shift and made my 90 minutes fantastic. Jason downstairs rustled up one of the best burgers Iv had in Birmingham so far. I would 100% Recommend.

It was an absolutely amazing experience here! The waiter was absolutely amazing and the food was well presented and filling. It is a lovely place to get something to eat and a beautiful social area! Would definitely recommend!

Five stars is genuinely well earned and well deserved! Popped in a few times between work and after work also on a Friday night and it's always a great atmosphere, staff are exceptional and drinks well made, tasty and enjoyable! Love the bar, has become a regular place to pop into if I'm in town.

Bottomless brunch, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was very dry though (veggie burger and chicken waffles)

Had Xmas bottomless brunch there, food was tasty enoigh but could have been hotter and it was freezing in there. We asked if the heating was on, which it apparently was, and the staff provided us with 2 portable fan heaters... the prosecco was slow to arrive at our table as well

Row & Sam deserve a big Christmas shout out for their amazing caring hospitality, myself and my Wife broke down just outside , the weather was freezing cold and the wait for the RAC because of the weather was going to be a long one.We went into the Florence for a bit of warmth whilst we were waiting, and these guys were such a cheerful and friendly couple making us both a lovely cup of tea,and could not have been more helpful .It was really appreciated by us both, merry Xmas guys, thanks again.

Great refurbished restaurant/bar. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and for a cc the beer is cheap. Pretty basic food menu, not much on offer. But what is, food is quality.

Very poor experience. Drinks tasted off . Even though 3 different types had by our party Bar staff more interested doing shots with locals.

Came in for a few drinks after work during happy hour. Ordered a pornstar martini which is served in a tiny glass out of a tap (takes about 5 minutes to poor as there is so much froth). Tastes alright but not great, handmade would be a lot better. Ordered another cocktail, turns out it isn't in happy hour despite the misleading sign saying 2 for 1 cocktails including spritz. No asterisk with exclusions. Turns out it is only the on tap cocktails. No good bar has cocktails on tap! Also music was far too loud for the time of day and type/ number of customers.

Popped in because I like going in restaurants I've never been in before. Variety is the Spice of Life. Staff were so friendly and welcomed me. I had a drink and did some social media work and headed back home in the lovely weather that ducks enjoy lol. I'll come back again to sample their food

Popped in to eat with our daughters, the lady behind the bar was polite, informative, helpful and smiling, which is a change from some bars in bham. Food and drinks were good to. Will be back. Great place tobgetcaway from the hustle and bustle of brummie.

Lovely place lovely staff and friendly people.

Really liked the look of this place went in to have a drink and lunch with 3 friends, drinks ordered asked for disabled toilets. Advised not in use as they had a private party in that location, a table was in front of the door and I could not use it, we left shortly after. This pub advertises that is welcoming all Commonwealth Games visitors do they not realise disabled people and athletes are at these events? Would they maximise profits by putting a table in front of a fire door? Very disappointed and feel this establishment is letting the city down.

Superb experience with the team - In particular, with Rowenna. I'd organized a baby shower for a work colleague, very last minute and stumbled across The Florence on Google. I'd walked past this hidden gem many times before, but never realised what a lovely and quirky venue it was. Rowenna and the team were so supportive and really helped me set the room up in record-breaking time, ready for all of the guests to arrive. They were very attentive to every guest and nothing was too big of a task for them. The buffet food was absolutely delicious and there was so much of it, that we even got to take some home! I will 100% use this venue again in future and thank you all again so much, for a wonderful experience.

Mixed experience. Heineken on draft was dreadful but Estrella was OK and cocktails weren't too bad either.

Great pub. We went for daughters 18th, they made us feel very comfortable, very friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. They gave us some nibbles on the house and they were amazing. Thank you for a great time, we will be back soon.

Bottomless brunch. Food is awful, e.g. all the poached eggs had hard yolks. Staff were friendly and good with refilling drinks though. I’ve had better and cheaper bottomless experiences

The Florence is a modern fashionable venue, beers and lagers are available as well as cocktails, there is a large dining table so groups of 10-14 people can sit in private. The location is convenient being on Newhall street which leads down towards the Jewellery Quarter.

First of all we ordered 3 drinks wrong drink was poured. Possibly the worst pint of Guinness and Heineken we have ever had. Took the glass back (which were 3/4 full), the lady behind the bar says to us that was quick which I replied to be honest thats the worst drink iv ever had and her reply was iv never heard that before and we left no sorry do you want to change it.(it seemed to me that the beer was in the lines for a period of time and hadn't been pulled though). It seemed the lady behind the bar had no interest in her job and just want to be on her laptop.

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly bar staff. I went to a birthday party here. They put the food on, which was excellent.

A group of friends having a little Christmas afternoon get together, after 2 plus hours and awaiting the arrival of 2 more friends a very rude member of staff came over and placed a table reservation on the table and told us we had 20 minutes to drink up and leave . Fuming, will definitely not be going back!!!!!@

I was ordering a round of drinks for colleagues. I specifically asked for a half of cider for one of my friends but a pint was served. I told the bar lady but she said I hadn't specified a half. My friend agreed I had asked for a half. The bar lady maintained I hadn't and suggested I had watched her pour it. I am gobsmacked I was forced to pay for the pint and was contradicted by this lady. We are a group of 6 professionals studying at BCU. We will not return based on this lady's behaviour.

Went for bottomless brunch on Saturday and was served by Andy who was a total star, I had forgotten to add one of our friends to the menu but Andy was able to resolve it quickly and without any issue. He kept us topped up the whole time and was such a warm guy, we also was served by a girl with braids who was also really friendly and funny. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back!

We had Kaila as our server, we went for bottomless brunch and every time our prosecco was a quarter of the way full she came to fill it up, lovely service and lovely food too! Would highly recommend the Florence, 100% worth the price!

Visited the Florence for a friends birthday on the bank holiday weekend, was great ! Staff were amazing , a constant flow of processco ammodated me with refreshing none alcoholic mocktails due to my little person onboard. Food was great and very well priced would deffientley recommend did a fantastic job after the lockdown being relaxed was great to get back to normality !

Staff are rude. No atmosphere. Make you feel uncomfortable. Menu not expansive.

Beer lines really need a clean and service charge on top for a pint is really not on when its that poor, i know its an optional service charge but still if you expect a tip just make sure the product you are serving is the best it can be and today it really wasn't sadly. Taste your products daily to make sure that they are pukka is my advice, if its not good enough for you then its not good enough for me, unless i ordered a pint of toffee!

I had to contact them within regards a reservation over the phone and the service was rude, they cut me meanwhile explaining my query so I ended up just cancelling it (as a waiter I can tell that someone who is careless with people is unlikely to be careful with food).

Why advertise that you are 'showing' the 6nations when all there is is 1 tv with subtitles. Standing close 2 c the tv means u have 2 stand over dining customers. Poor! Chips were nice thou!

It was a Thursday early evening so pretty quiet but the bar staff were friendly and attentive. Grabbed a chicken wrap which was delicious and delivered really quickly for £7, which for the city centre is pretty good. Beer choice is a bit limited but ok for a smaller bar. Certainly would use this place again.

Just poor. Entered, sat down, took off coat, waited, waited, waited. No-one came to see us to take our drink order even, so after 10 minutes we decided to leave... Update: After their reply, I thought it best to point out that we were actually sat AT the bar!!!

Had a lovely time the other night at this close to the centre venue! Drinks are a good price and the atmosphere is friendly. The bar staff were very accomodating, Miles had made us one of his first ever cocktails and it was delicious :) definitely will return!

10 of us for brunch, got a little carried away. Hospitality was great, looked after properly. After spilling a pint, the manager easily could have asked us to leave, instead offered a replacement and was very poliate about it. Thanks team, will come again
