The food is amazing, there is plenty of choice on the menu, the service is really quick and the staff are very friendly and polite. This seems like a good place to go out with friends it feels like a local

This used to be my local pub and I come back here a lot to see friends and have a meal. We just arrived back from a very long drive as we’d set out from Scotland this morning and we were very tired. We had a really good meal here for a reasonable price and the staff were really kind. For us the portion sizes were just right. Filling but without leaving a load of waste. They have refurbed since my last visit and it looks good. This pub will continue to receive our custom.

Great venue to meet up with the family, lovely well cooked, great value food. Served with a smile. Good selection of beers and wines to accommodate anyone's tastes. Plus, you can watch a game when it matters. Again, it's great value Thursday.

Positive and welcoming environment for new faces and regulars food is spot on and always comes nice and hot and is great value for money, we are a family of 5 and always feel comfortable here with our children the menu has something to suit each of us. Lottie is so professional and helpful and always goes above and beyond. Keep up the good service guys

Good place for a drink with mates.

Came here to eat first time with the family, food portion sizes are ridiculous so small for the money that you pay, fish is absolutely vile size is about the size of your palm, me and my sister didn't even eat it it was horrible they don't use cod or haddock like 99% of places didn't even say in the menu after when we went to look when asked they used talipia which is a vile fish tastes like it's from the sewers you get about 8 chips and a tablespoon of peas, asked for no sauce or salad on the burgers which came with sauce and salad on, ordered garlic ciabattas and they brought out 3 pieces of normal garlic bread instead, chicken was dry.. awful experience definitely would not go back and definitely not what we expected from a Greene king pub either

Thank you thank you thank you for the great food and service - I had driven down from Manchester (on Friday the 13th - WHY) and yeah it was hell... ...I was completely frazzled and starving when I got here. You all made me feel so much more human! Being autistic and prone to overwhelm in pubs with piped music, this means the world. Cannot thank you all enough x ❤️

Booked for a group of 18 to celebrate an 80th birthday and had fantastic service from all the friendly staff!

Ordered fully loaded chicken strips with curry sauce. I got chicken strips and chips with curry sauce. They must have forgot or run out of the fully loaded part.

Great customer service from chloe and the team. Working away from home, and made to feel at home. Service was impeccable, and all staff members very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.

I really was lost for words on my last visit and to be honest couldn't find words to sum it up! I am only posting now as driving past today I see it is undergoing some work so I'm hopeful when I return not so much it is updated but a wholesale cleaning regime has been addressed as I honestly was shocked by obvious lack of pride or any cleaning regime, from dirty glasses and cutlery right through to windows and all the fixtures my husbands experience in the toilets was just as shocking as mine they were utterly disgusting graffiti aside they were filthy so bad was the whole experience ( apart from lovely bar maid and young server) it was just impossible to process how this was allowed to be going on. Hopefully situation is now been rectified and the refurbishment is part of a massive change to senior staff as I doubt it could remain the same! Edit.. Thank you for your reply. I apologise if my review seemed unfair however I would like nothing more than to enjoy my family time and I certainly did not exaggerate my experience. On saying that your open and honest response is refreshing and it made me think that with running such a place knowing it needed refreshing and then waiting for works to commence I guess I can see how my experience was affected so yet again thank you for your reply and I certainly will visit again

Staying at the premier in next door, so booked a table for 19:30 and the food was absolutely lovely, great options and great prices. The gammon came with chips, peas, tomato, fried onions and was delicious. Lots of choice of drinks at very reasonable prices which is a great plus. Very nice staff and overall a great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Had a good night when it first opened great service and beer. But I was disappointed with the food especially the onion rings!

I have just visited the White Horse for the first time and I will no be going back ! I had a crafted pubs voucher which states greene king on there but the waitress told me they don’t accept them and tried to send us away! (Wish we had just walked ) she went to double check came back said no we don’t, my daughter who works in the industry said are you sure as it’s a greene king voucher and I thought you was a greene king site ? She had no idea what she was doing but proceeded to try the gift card after telling me it wouldn’t work when the gift card then did work. (Staff might need voucher training) , we first ordered a chicken ribs combo, ribs over cooked dry, chicken anaemic , onion rings limp and very fatty, and chick & mix well the boneless ribs was disgusting the fat just makes me feel sick, waitress (or could’ve been the manager as seemed in charge) came over to food check and was lovely when we explained, she got us 2 new different meals chicken burger was edible but still not great, Lasagne better but again like mush !!!!!! There was a slight difference in price so my daughter then had to talk the waitress through how to process a refund so it would go back on the gift card as the waitress assumed she would have to give us the cash. My daughter went up the bar to order after standing their for a while as the girl who struggled with the gift card decided to leave the bar as soon as my daughter approached the bar drinks a different bartender took the order and the payment then told her they didn’t have the two ingredients to make the drinks so my daughter asked if there was a replacement spirit they could use after he just stood there, but then the 2 bartenders left the bar to go and look for the ingredients leaving no one on the bar with a queue of over 6 people all waiting to which another waitress had to ask a different waitress to help on the bar as she was just standing there(think she was more concerned that her dinner was ready) We ordered dessert, biscoff cheese cake I don’t even know what to say I love cheese cake that I couldn’t eat was awful and the fudge cake had some sort of toffee in the middle ? Safe to say after our visit today I will never be returning considering it has just a refurb we thought we was going out for a nice meal, well wasn’t we wrong ! I dread to think the standards before the refurb, extremely disappointed. And feel that I wasted my £50 voucher.

I asked for my steak medium rare, it came well done. The food wasn’t great, made me feel ill after. Crispy flatbread and the ribs weren’t great either.

Cant believe this pub has only a 4 it gets a 10 out of 10 from me. Staff and management are great at there jobs and always keep on top of everything. The food is spot on always hot and presented well. Atmosphere is great with all the sports showing on lots of tvs and music playing from the juke box .

The manager is rude the food is very bland and the beer is awful

Staff are lovely; they’re always down for a chat and very invested in good and fast service. The pub itself has a real homely undertone which when you’re there always makes you feel relaxed and pairs greatly with the food which is proper pub comfort food. Definitely try the nachos they’re fit.

Ordered a flat bread steak for £9 and the portion was smaller than a Tesco sandwich. Ordered fries on the side and that too was ridiculously small in portion size. Staff are friendly and the place has an okay atmosphere. Wouldn't come back though, the portion sizes are silly.

Popped in on spur of the moment. Although we have used this pub in the past. We decide to have lunch. My Husband having the battered Fish and I a Rump Steak; accompanied by a nice cool Pint of Guiness and an Orange. Both meals were excellent. My Husband loved his Battered fish with The Tar-Tar sauce and I absolutely loved my steak which tasted beautiful and just melted in my mouth. Definitely making this pub a regular for family meals. Yum,Yum... The Staff were excellent, friendly and we were only to happy to help when we needed it. Price was good to and I ordered an extra side...

Came today with my family. Not much to say other than the fact that this place surprised us massively. We came expecting a normal lunch after a few hours in a nearby park. Didn't expect much else, but we wanted to try a new place anyway. On arrival, the pub looked very nice from the outside. This continued after going in, as it looked very well looked-after on the way in. Taken to our table, the seating area reflected the rest of the establishment with how nice it looked. It took a fair amount of time to receive food compared to what we were all having, and we all agreed that the food looked absolutely impeccable, and that was all of us. Even down to our onion rings, everything looked perfect. A couple of us did have dessert and while it took a while to arrive, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as the rest of the meal was just spectacular. Only thing I will say if you have someone in your party who doesn't like noise, be a bit wary of sitting next to the outdoor play area. The children were very loud, as children are, but as someone who was trying to manage my anxiety while I was there the noise I could hear from the outside was not at all helpful. But don't let that put a damper on this gem of a pub, because everything else was amazing! 5 stars, will definitely be returning.

We stayed at the premier inn attached to pub and wouldn't visit here again if you paid me . The place is absolutely filthy and looks like it's in need of some serious Tlc. The glasses being used to serve drinks were dirty, The food was absolutely vile there was 10 of us in our party and not one of us had a good word to say about the food. The two girls behind the bar were friendly and work really hard, BUT the manager needs to be given a customer service lesson because his attitude stunk and should not be running a pub if he doesn't no how to deal with the public. He was rude and unwelcoming. The toilets were disgusting and the general state of the pub is grotty . I definitely will not be returning.

Came here on Thursday night had a meal with my family first time coming and I can honestly say won’t be my last the service was amazing food was amazing and the staff are so welcoming a blonde lady with glasses ran our food and was back to check if everything was okay with in 5 minutes well impressed and was served by another lovely lady at the bar with brown hair and glasses also ! She was ever so polite and friendly too great service ! Really felt welcome here

Our food had a 40 minute delay. The food wasn’t great quality. There was a quiz on and the speakers were very loud. Not very enjoyable, would probably not be coming back.

First visit as was staying in the premier inn and I must say I was very impressed with my Sunday lunch, tables were very clean and went to the bar to order my food and was served by a lovely girl, very helpful with menu did not catch her name but young and with hair in bun, food was served very quickly and with a smile by another lovely girl with glasses and pony tail (didn’t catch any name badges) I feel you should add name badges as i believe recognition deserves to be recognised! she also checked if everything was okay with my food, and it was PERFECT, would definitely recommend just for the service alone, made me feel welcome ❤️

Need more staff and happy staff waited 20 min for a drink We were actually there twice both times we were waiting for around 20 minutes at the bar , and were ignored on a couple of occasions, And the beer was warm

Had food here which was ok (get what you pay for) but I hope and pray that whoever in charge of cleaning the toilets isn’t responsible for cleaning the kitchen as the toilets here are the worst I have ever been in the stench is enough to make your eyes water. How on earth does Premier Inn allow this when their guests have to eat in there. Absolutely disgusting **Edit in response to White horse response to my review:- Yes indeed the toilets do need repairing, but as you well know these toilets have been like this for years, in need of repair would be acceptable if there was any intention of ever doing the work but to be that filthy is totally unacceptable. We visited the white horse white House common road with friends for an evening meal, from the time we walked through the door we were treated like royalty, I can only say the hospitality and the food was totally amazing, I was impressed to be shown to the table by the manger who took our orders and brought the food to our table . The whole dinning experience was fantastic . Every plate cleaned , food was 5 star . We will definitely be back with friends and family . Best pub for food and hospitality in Sutton coldfield .

Food was okish, however service was awful, one poor member of staff running round like a mad woman....booked for a 21st birthday lunch and presented a cake I had made and still ID'd my son ....the worst part of the visit was the lack of any cleanliness...tables were sticky as were the menus and there was almost a whole plate of someone's food underneath our table...won't be returning anytime soon if ever...toilets were vile too...broken toilet seats in the only ladies toilets working as the others were out of order...really disappointed ☹️ I wish I'd have known there was a wake being held as it felt really inappropriate having a 21st birthday lunch next to a wake

Pub food, cooked exceptionally well. Steak cooked exactly how we wanted it. Couldn't fault food or service. Only downside Gents could do with a massive overhaul. Can smell it from the bar area but no where else in pub. Other than that great pub.

Myself and a friend went for lunch yesterday. The food was amazing and a great price. Restaurant was quiet, staff very friendly.

Good food and drinks, but could do with more vegetarian options as there were only a couple available. The burger I ordered was quite dry and overcooked on this occasion, so slightly disappointed.
