Visiting family in the area we were told to pop in for food here….absolutely awful, no food, bar staff really rude because we asked for food….would certainly not recommend, place was empty and scruffy. We left after 1 drink.

Had a great meal here staying overnight in our motorhome en route to Yorkshire. Huge portions, friendly and efficient staff made for a very enjoyable time. We were so impressed with the pub that we returned 3 weeks later on the way home for Sunday lunch, again huge portions. Definitely a future stopover for us.

Lovely friendly pub only went for a drink but had meals as well. My wife had Scampi and I had Gammon. Both meals excellent and served quickly. Pub busy and lively with local people, super place will definitely be calling again. Highly recommended for anyone on the Mablethorpe to Cleethorpes coast road.

Me and my husband often travel from Grimsby to the White Horse for our Sunday lunch. The Sunday roast is excellent with more then generous portions. The service from bar staff to the waitress is impeccable and so friendly we really enjoy our Sunday treat believe me you won’t be disappointed x x

I run a B & B in Marshchapel, my guests often go into the White Horse, they tell me it's a friendly & welcoming place, staff always ask if they are new to the area, when they tell them they are staying with me, they are made very welcome, I have one guest who visits each year for the super bikes at Caldwell, he always goes in they remember him year to year, you can't ask more than that. Thanks Fiona, Kevin & the staff, well done.

A fantastic free evening. It was very busy and this made it a great experience, enjoyed by young and old alike. It was good to see a village pub up to five deep at the bar-especially in today’s financial climate! The staff were polite and quick to serve everyone with a smile. A great event which I shall be attending again next year!

Great fireworks and food outside but our experience ruined by rude bar staff who served us only wen the locals had been served .This happened 3 times even when we were stood at the front locals behind were served first .That is no way to treat customers and is plain rude .Needless to say we will not be returning which will please the local men planted on stools blocking the bar even wen the queue was 5 deep .Way to clicky for us

We visited yesterday after a little trip out to Donna Nook, we had family from out of town with us and i knew exactly where we would be taking them for Sunday Dinner. We did book ahead as there were 6 of us and we did arrive a little late but that wasn't an issue at all. We all order a Sunday Roast - 4 of us had the Pork and 2 had Beef. I can not recommend The White Horse enough !! The meals are huge and well worth the money- nothing is too much trouble, i'm so tired of getting tiny jugs of gravy with my meal and eyes rolling when i ask for more... Not here- we actually ended up having 4 big gravy boats!! After a all 6 plates were cleaned up - we did opt for the sweets as i knew these wouldn't disappoint either.. Guess what??? They didn't - from old school classics to our chocolate fudge cake ( served with cream and ice cream as i couldn't decide) They afternoon was perfect and they even put the football on for my son ( although Liverpool lost ) Can't wait to visit again- keep doing what you are doing, Fiona and the team are fantastic!!! X

Ordered 16oz rump and Surf and Turf (medium) had to wait for the meal waitress apologised, looking at the meal it appeared to been stood before serving. Both steaks were overdone and lacking taste. Told the landlord on paying who showed little interest and offered no reduction. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Stopped at this pub purely by chance. The Sunday roast was excellent - one had the roast beef - very plentiful portions. One had the turkey - there was the option of a smaller portion. The food arrived piping hot, with a good selection of vegetables a was very tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient. The sweet menu was good too.

Took the wife here, having already had a lazy meal before, and again not disappointed, the haddock and chips again, with two pints of real ale, what more could you wish for, hmmmmmmm.

This is a nice 'pubby' pub. Roaring fire etc. Beer's OK. Xmas dinner could have been better though. There was a nice prawn cocktail and the turkey (arguably a bit too dry) & roast potatoes were fine but veg (sprouts, boiled potatoes, carrots & possibly swede) was overcooked, gravy thin and together with the stuffing ball, largely tasteless. Christmas pudding came swamped in runny custard and tasted of nothing in particular. Cracker included; all for £19.

I took my mum here for Mothers Day breakfast and was really impressed by the low price but high quality of the food. I had a vegetarian English breakfast and she has maple syrup pancakes: both were very tasty. The pub itself feels very welcoming, with charming decor and lovely, very friendly staff. Well worth a visit!

could not be bothered to make tea on a Friday night, so I popped around the corner and visited my local, not had a meal here for ages, so it had to be their giant Haddock, chips and mushy peas, with a pint on real ale.Well, there's a surprise, the meal was great, the beer was great, even though the pub was full, and nearly fully booked, I was still delivered my meal within the half hour.Great meal and great service.

These pubs 'out in the sticks'. Hhhmmmmm. Well whatever you think, this one is probably the best! The lager is superbly looked after, the staff are always so welcoming & happy. And then there's the food. Oh my days!!! The fish & chips is probably the best outside of Cleethorpes!!!! So if your passing you MUST stop of at this place! Why? Cos Hirsty said so that's why!!!!

Visit to the seaside wanted fish and chips, as I'm gluten free I usually struggle. Not here have gluten free on the menu, also curry sauce. We both had regular fish and chips, mine was wrapped separately from husbands as he had normal.Great portions glad we didn't go for the large.

Had a couple of roasts today which came with free desserts. Meal was lovely, fresh, hot, just what you expect. We was really happy with that.....but....half an hour after leaving we realised we had left a bag behind. Money, cards, car keys, medication, all stuff hard to replace when on holiday. We returned to the Windsor and the lady who was serving, cleaning etc said she saw the bag as soon as we left, so put it safe behind the counter. Panic over. We can't thank you enough xxx

Can't begin to say how bad this pub was, miserable landlady and landlord and the worst food I have ever not eaten. I say not eaten as we didn't get through even a quarter of the plate of awful food we were offered. My husband said the beer was okay but please don't bother with the food it REALLY ISNT WORTH IT.

We went specifically to this venue for breakfast. We ordered different breakfasts and made some changes to one of them with the helpful counter staff. The tea in the tea pot was cold and we took it back for a replacement hot tea pot. The breakfast was brought to us by a member of staff who did not smile or speak. Having ordered extra well done bacon we were surprised to note that it certainly hadn't been even well done. The plates were cold and so was half of the breakfast, the rest of it cooling rapidly. The toast and prepacked butter were placed on the top of the breakfast and we had to use our fingers to try and get them off the top, even though there was nowhere to put them (have they never heard of side plates)? All in all, very poor. Customer care is clearly not a priority.

Visited here yesterday as we have done many times previously and i was on my VERY SMALL electric scooter (ES). It was quite busy but not full as it is fairly small inside. Myself and my scooter took up the same amount of sitting on the chair as i was situated so i didn't need to use their chair and if on a large bike this would not have been possible. However a young girl asked if i could leave my ES outside and walk in which i could not as not able to do so. I replied we have been in there previously and had never been an issue but she said the couldn't allow it when they were busy. I would not have gone in if i was going to cause an issue or restrict any of the pathways and so i felt i had to leave, which we did. However there was 3 tables occupied by approx 12 men who were blocking pathways and not eating anything and were loudly talking to each other across the tables who were who were quite clearly obstructive but seemingly that was ok !!! I am disgusted in this day and age that such discrimination persists and i will not use them again. Perhaps they need to add a sign to the windows stating people with mobility aids would not be allowed in busy periods. Totally Disgusted. LInda Halls
