Fantastic Sunday Lunch for four. Extensive menu and lavish carvery of marvellous food. All responsibly priced in a good atmosphere. Proper Sunday Lunch !

Lovely Sunday lunch. You can choose from a carvery or from a limited menu. My mum had the turkey and I had the vegetarian Wellington. The vegetables were fresh and nicely cooked. The desserts were t. Tasty. The staff were friendly. All in all highly recommended for a fair price.

First visit here as was visiting family. Excellent service, very good, freshly cooked food at a reasonable price. This lovely village pubs deserves to be supported. Highly recommended.

We live in the village and took our daughter and her family for Sunday lunch. This pub is a real asset to our village. The carvery was truly wonderful and the staff are amazing. The desserts are to die for!

A weekend break, just outside Lincoln and we were looking for a local pub. The White Hart was perfect. A cosy pub, with lovely friendly staff and excellent food. If you are in this area, it’s definitely worth checking it out!

Went for Sunday lunch again, didn’t book and it was really busy 🙄 the bar staff were very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. WOW! Sunday carvery is the best for miles! Beef stunning… lovely well cooked veg, beautiful mash, crispy but fluffy roasties… topped with a massive yorkie! All served in a relaxed environment with attentive (but not intruding) staff! 11/10 superb!

we were on fishing holiday in red house farm fishery,and decided to try a meal in the White Hart ,North Scarle we decided on the gammon and duck eggs,chips,pineapple relish ,best pub meal ever,service good, comfotable dining area ,EXCELLENT

Been here quite a few times. Recent change of ownership. Really nice pub. It’s very clean. Toilets are immaculate Very friendly people and staff. Food was very good and they cater to your requirements. Would definitely recommend

We hadn't been to the White Hart for a while, which we had used several times previously for their excellent Sunday Carvery, to find that a carvery was no longer available, only plated meals. Whilst the food was freshly prepared, my first choice was not available and the alternatives were fairly limited. The attraction of the Carvery is the ability to choose what you want rather than be given the standard allocation of the day. To mar the visit further, we were charged over £8 for two blackcurrant and soda waters. (We had paid £1.40 for the same two drinks in another pub in the same area two days previous). When we questioned this with the young waitress, the response was 'Well, that's what's in the till and I can't do anything about it'. We don't expect to be given drinks, but neither do we expect to be paying six times more than the pub down the road. Sorry, White Hart, we won't be returning.

Came in for a carvery after visiting friends in the area, We was seated very quickly despite it being very busy all the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of drinks which are all fairly priced the service was very fast we had our drinks virtually straight away. The cavery itself is how it should be properly home cooked food and perfectly cooked meat, the red cabbage is absolutely to die for. Unfortunately had no more room for deserts but the cheesecakes coming out the kitchen looked amazing. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends. Great value for money

I was lucky enough to have lunch here yesterday and found it to be excellent. The food was good and well prepared with very good service. As a non drinker I can't speak for the drinks but my friends said the beer selection was good and well kept. I strongly recommend this place.

Totally disgusted. Have eaten here a number of times before and ordered spinach and mushroom lasagne as usual. It arrived but when I started eating it became obvious that it was not spinach and mushroom but seemed to be some sort of vegetable lasagne. I pointed out the mistake to the waiter and he went to sort it out.

As the white hart is now open at lunch time and it's Friday it has to be fish and chips. it has a very competitive fixed price lunches there is a very good pub menu to chose from if you have room a dessert is only £2 more

Where do I begin...What a wonderful find...top class accommodation thats as good as any posh hotel...room beautiful..we stayed in the hedgehog room...room was spotless..tea, coffee, bottled water, biscuits,robes, ironing board and iron,hairdryer all included. Breakfast superb. The hosts Eileen and Brian are lovely and friendly was a pleasure to sit and have drinks with them. This is a delightful pub and restaurant with accomodation in a small village but it isnt one of those places you go and feel unwelcome because you are not a local...everyone very friendly. Lovely garden to sit in on a warm evening. Thank you to Eileen and Brian for a wonderful stay.

a group of 16 of us went for lunch on Tuesday 2nd July, with varying meals it was noted they were large portions all presented on hot plates and the meals were hot and delicious, those that could manage a dessert were also given ample portions, the decor is spotless and well laid out, the staff are attentive, pleasant & helpful, the host was a very pleasant lady whose husband is a great chef.

Superb accommodation. Extremely well presented room, spotless and all you need provided including hairdryer, ironing board and steam iron and toiletries. Fantastic tailored made breakfast service in beautifully quaint environment, could not fault it. Superb value for money, would highly recommend if in the Lincoln area.

My partner and I just had a fantastic 2 meat carvery. Rang up to check availability and got us in. All the food was delicious and hot. With nice service.

This is a nice pub and I have had some great meals here, great beers and great staff, but the pizza I had last week was very sad. Expensive yes, not really value for money and not something I would recommend. We had one in Lincoln a few days later, same price but really tasty.

Visited here quite by mistake and wow was I glad we did. A busy Saturday night but happy to find a table. Lovely staff all smiles and nicely chatty. We were early enough for an early bird menu and it took only seconds to make a decision. I had liver casserole and my partner had belly pork. Both were exceptional and the amount of liver I had was huge!. The meal tasted brilliant in all, desert was rhubarb crumble and custard and again perfection - not too sweet as often it is just perfect. This is a number one on anyones itinery in the area and thanks to excellent staff for making a lovely start to our night.

Took a client for lunch at The White Hart 27th Feb. Two meals, very reasonably priced, prepared and served without fault. I chose liver and bacon with mash and veg while my guest decided Ham egg and chips would be his preferred option. All this for less than £20.

What a great wedding reception we had at the White Hart. Brian, Eileen & their staff were fantastic from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble, they accommodated everything we wanted and more! The wedding breakfast was lovely, we then had bacon butties & chips at the evening reception, all our guests have said how fantastic the food was. Eileen & staff decorated the restaurant for us, it looked so beautiful. We also stayed in the stag room for the night, it was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, hot shower & the breakfast in the morning was great too. Some of our wedding guests stayed in the other rooms & were equally impressed with them.

Me encanta este pub, pero no creo que haya dejado una reseña porque es (casi) mi local.

Todo comenzó con el entrante: 2 piezas patéticas de pan tostado Melba, que no era lo suficientemente grande como para difundir la paté igualmente miserable. Esto fue seguido por un pavo asado, servido al estilo de un hogar de cuidado, con una montaña de comida servida en un estanque de salsa. Dicho esto, el pavo era sabroso y abundante. Mi postre elegido fue el pudín navideño acompañado por la salsa de brandy, que tuvo un aspecto decepcionante ya que se parecía a una rebanada delgada de pastel de Navidad, que medía aproximadamente 120 mm x 50 mm x 10 mm, pero sabía muy bien. Un invitado en la mesa pidió la tabla de quesos y el puerto, el queso era abundante pero el puerto no llegó. Cuando señaló la omisión a la persona a cargo, le dieron el tercer grado y le dijeron que el puerto había sido servido, por lo tanto, alguien más debe haberlo tenido, no; lo siento señor, lo traeré ahora!

We come to North Scarle every year and though we would have an evening meal. The White Hart has an interesting menu, old pub charm, with a modern flavour. Interesting selection of beer. The service was excellence, the food on the night was really good, well presented. Accompanied by friends we were all satisfied three courses and a bottle of wine @ £35 per head. Highly recommended. We’ll be back next year for sure.

Stumbled across this place by accident and decided to see if they could fit us in for lunch. Didnt hold out much hope as car park was packed. The quality of the Carvery and the excellent service clearly explained why it was so popular.

From a previous review, you know how much I appreciated my time at The White Hart Pub and Restaurant in North Scarle. Superb food, service and atmosphere was in the cards. Having had another trip to this establishment, I can add that the new bed and breakfast facilities are top notch as well. Eileen Mofdat is the kind of friend/ hostess you would want meeting you at the end of a long journey. From what you might like for breakfast to being helpful at every turn, I cannot say enough good things about this place. But I will!

We chose to take a drive out to this pub on the strength of the reviews but we were slightly disappointed. We both ordered from the two for £10menu. Sadly my Garlic Mushrooms in Cream sauce were probably the worst I have ever had. I don’t believe this was a cream sauce just some mushrooms(undercooked) put into a dish of cream. My husbands pate was OK. We both ordered the Fish, chips and mushy peas as a main course. The fish was lovely and well cooked but the chips were pretty tasteless and the peas absolutely scorching hot. The serving staff are all quite young and were more interested in chatting to each other than paying attention to the customers. I would have liked to have a second glass of wine but no one came to the table to ask if our food was OK so I did not get the opportunity. I would say the staff were pleasant and well turned out. I would visit this pub again as I would like to try the Carvery and I don’t feel one visit is enough to boycott an establishment.

Friends recommended this pub and my wife and I were not disappointed this evening. The pub offers a range of good food, all very reasonably priced in a pleasant setting and served by helpful and polite staff. Has the feel of a real village pub. We live locally and intend to return ere long. Many thanks!

Eileen and Brian are perfect hosts. I have had to go and visits parents and as a married women on a solo journey is scary but Brian and Eileen made me feel like I was with friends. The food by the way is amazing and huge portions. The bedrooms are wonderful and high quality. We found this place by accident while looking for somewhere to stay in Lincoln. We tend to shy away from hotel chains and prefer a friendly pub or brewery for accommodation and we were not disappointed. We had 2 nights in the Stag room which was spacious and very comfortable. The rooms have been well thought out with plenty of storage space for luggage and plug sockets next to the mirror (you'd be amazed at how many accommodations we've stayed in where the hairdryer is plugged in out of eyeshot of the mirror). The room contains a proper hairdryer, iron and ironing board. It was spotlessly clean and had a lovely modern bathroom with both bath and shower.

Ate off the two for a tenner menu and it was all beautifully presented and served hot. Husband states was the best steak and ale pie ever!

I took my husband here for a Sunday carvery for his birthday. The food was very nice and a lot to choose from. Only one slight niggle, there was not much room between us and the other table.

Well what can I say took a friend for a pint who has come from Australia got greeted by a numpty land lord who told me i was barred from a previous event that he wasn't even there to witness nothing to do with me hate these sort of people get the facts right #numpty. ..

We were very impressed by the quality of the rooms at the pub, they were incredibly clean and equipt with tea making facilities and a tv in the room. The rooms are beautifully decorated, this is more like a 5 star hotel than a village pub B&B;, we would highly recommend and would love to go back one day.

We have just called in for a meal, hadn’t booked and the restaurant ,bar and beer garden were full of diners. We managed to get a table Scott the front of house came to our table took the drinks order and promptly delivered, food ordered and we were served with our meal within 10 minutes . Absolutely incredible service and food. Eileen and Brian who always have plenty of staff on at the bar and tables, your staff are a credit to you.

My husband and I went here for a Sunday carvery for my husband's 50th birthday. The food was nice and a lot of it, but the tables were a little close together.

Really nice people and good food. My partner and I shared Nachos to start (these were great). Followed by Fish & Chips and the Southern fried Chicken burger. We both really enjoyed our meal. Would recommend.

Decided to book here after reading the positive reviews. The service was okay but the food was disappointing. I had lasagne which was tasteless and the others had the individual homemade pie which was mainly pastry. The menu said the pie came with a selection of vegetables which turned out to be a small portion of peas. All said they came with homemade chips but what we got resembled frozen steak cut chips. Overpriced for what we were served.

Super comfy beds, super clean, friendliest landlady who has just renovated the bedrooms with love. Having asked for breakfast at ridiculously early hour, she couldn't have been more helpful or breakfast more delicious .

We stayed in the accommodation at the White Hart as our friends had got married and had their evening drinks there. The rooms were outstanding, clean and at a very high standard. The breakfast was plentiful fit for a king. I would certainly recommend staying here again, we certainly will be to see our friends again.

We had an anniversary dinner at the White Hart last night with my parents, absolutely fantastic place. Okay we do know the pub/restaurant but the welcoming from the staff was outstanding and even people we didn’t know had time for a chat, so “non locals are made so so welcome “. Food by Brian was excellent and not for the faint hearted, portions are very generous. So much choice and it came with speed and so well presented. Staff are so good and quick and serve with a smile. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. A credit to Eileen and Brian, drop in you will be welcomed. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stayed in the accommodation at the White Hart which has been completed to a really high standard. The landlady was very welcoming and showed us to the Hare room which had a lovely double bed complete with Egyptian cotton sheets, tea and coffee facilities and a roomy en-suite (being 6 ft I appreciated the higher ceilings!). The facilities were clean, roomy and we felt at home there.

Well known for their real ale and excellent food we eat here regularly but as I have to drive home this cannot include more than the odd drink. We've known for some time that they were building rooms to offer B&B; and decided that occasionally we would include n overnight stay so as soon as we heard of the availability we booked their Stag de duxe room. After checking in we were shown to our room by the Landlady and as we were the first guests to stay there was a bottle of champagne in our room. We chilled out with the bubbly admiring this excellent luxurious room in which we were the first to spend the night. After a bath and a change of clothes we went down to the restaurant where we enjoyed the well cooked food as we normally do and then the added benefit of a few drinks to follow. We ordered breakfast for 8.00am and retired to our room and extremely comfortable super king bed. In the morning we had breakfast in the "Duck or Grouse" lounge bar and what a breakfast. Juice, cereals, croissants, toast, tea and a large full works English. This is a village inn offering 5* accommodation equivalent to many superior hotels around the world where we have stayed on business before retiring. We will definitely be repeating the experience at the White Hart in North Scarle.

Moved to this area after nearly 40yr in the same place. Was very reluctant to try a differant pub for Sunday lunch. Bit the bullet and wasn't disappointed, great food, the rare to medium beef was amazing, very tender. With a great selection of veg. Can't comment on puddings cos couldn't fit one in. Service was exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Loved the atmosphere a typical county pub. On leaving asked about dogs as mentioned in there advert, weren't detered that I had four dogs and our friends had two, which is fantastic, as long as we ate in the bar, not a problem to us. Would recommend booking, we did. It was a really hot day and was still full. Highly recommend.

My brother and I booked this pub many weeks in advanced to celebrate our parents' 50th anniversary. Many emails were exchanged (as I live abroad) as to what was required.....champagne, cake and.....to our surprise....a framed photo of their wedding day....something I didn't expect myself, but was a pleasant surprise. We all wanted a good English hearty meal, and we weren't disappointed. The quality of food was excellent, service great, atmosphere quintessentially British....and to top it off.....a personal visit from the landlady herself.....a wonderful host.

This is the best carvery - fact! You will need to book and that speaks for itself. I have been coming here for a few years now and I have never had a bad meal. On a Sunday you have a choice of the following meats: well done beef, medium rare beef, gammon, lamb, pork and turkey. I have tried all of these and the meat a superb quality and cooked to perfection by Brian and Eileen's team. To accompany your meat there is a home made Yorkshire pudding, home made stuffing, various vegetables, cauliflower cheese (which is a must with a carvery). The roast parsnips are out of this world and the roast potatoes are as you would expect 'crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside'. The pub itself is lovely. There is a restaurant or you can sit in the bar/lounge area, which has recently been extended - and they allow dogs in the bar/lounge area - how wonderful is that? The staff are friendly and welcoming and always attentive. I am yet to pop in during the week for a meal but I plan to do so in the next month and I will provide an honest review of that too. Overall I give the carvery 10/10 as it really is amazing. People travel for miles to eat here so if you are considering it I recommend you do. You will not be disappointed.

I have eaten at the White Hart on two occasions recently, both times with a large group of people. The food was absolutely first rate and the service faultless. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The menu gives a wide choice and the prices are very reasonable, especially in view of the standard of food provided.

We were taken to this pub for a meal out with friends, we ate off the two courses for £10 menu and what a bargain it was, every meal was immaculately presented and very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, will definitely go back.

I have had the occasion to dine at The White Hart Village Pub & Restaurant on two separate occasions. Being a Canadian who dearly appreciates good food done well and with great service, I have been delighted both times I have been there. The first occasion, I was with Brian and Eileen Moffat, the owners of this fine establishment. The haggis starter with neeps and tattles was heaven on earth and more than plenty for this hungry traveller. The main was sea bass, cooked to perfection with beautiful vegetables that were tasty and satisfying. Because it was Games Night, there were chips served as a snack for the players. They were to die for!

11 of us sat for Sunday lunch and we were definitely not disappointed. Everything from service to food and beer was fantastic!

Our local pub has transformed itself with the owners taking care to deliver efficient service and tasty food.

The food was very good. Get there before 6.30 and it's two courses for £10. Can't be bad. However unfortunately we were disappointed that it took 30 mins to take our food order. Another group that came in after us were served first. I had to stand up to get the waitress to come over and take our order. It was as if we had been forgotten ? We then waited another 30 minutes for our main course. The restaurant was not busy. We were not asked if we needed any sauces vinegar etc. Nobody asked during the meal if everything was ok. I'm afraid the service spoilt the occasion. Such a shame. The White Hart had been recommended to me.
