I believe it is trying to be too many different genres of restaurant, pub and fine dining; I do become confused because the vibe and the atmosphere doesn't make any sense. It is also extremely cramped but I do believe it is lovely food.

Great pub. On day of visit there was a village scarecrow festival taking place and The WH were doing something special, hosting a BBQ run by The Lions Club along with a small fundraising tent, straw bale seating and an old tractor and Spitfire (car) my grandson loved. Well done WH.

Conveniently located but not too many parking spaces. Easy to access. Friendly and welcoming. Good, wholesome food at reasonable prices. Large TV screen. The kind of English pub that is fast disappearing. Enjoyed my visit and would definitely return.

We visited with our two children on a quiet Wednesday evening, stumbling across the Halloween quiz night. The owners are very friendly and welcomed us, and my daughter loved the resident pooch. The pub itself is a standard pub with a pool table in the one half, and comfy sofas, chairs and booths in the other. A good selection of snacks, and they offered fun Halloween cocktails although we didn't try these. There are tables outside roadside for summer evenings. We had hoped to eat but unfortunately they don't serve food in the evening at the moment. We stocked up on crisps etc and stayed for the quiz, having a really fun evening and winning the booby prize....

I visited Leggers for dinner and a drink to celebrate a birthday . The menu looked great and would have been if half of my main meal wasn’t cold . Chips and peppercorn sauce were tepid . I ask for my fillet steak rare and it was cooked through . Everyone else’s chips and sauce were cold too. My meal was changed without question and with a smile . I had the stew and dumplings , it was piping hot and very nice . It was quiet so I don’t know why the food was cold . The overall experience was good and the bar staff , especially Lydia were lovely and very friendly . I would have preferred to be able to buy a 750ml bottle of red wine rather than those little ones . All other colours of wine came in large bottles so don’t know why red didn’t . Would I go again? …. Yes but not for a celebratory meal . I may have expected too much from a pub . The meals that were coming out for other people looked lovely especially the Yorkshire pudding sharing platter , it was massive .

There were menu items marked “available gluten free”. I specifically said I was allergic to gluten and my meal needed to be gluten free. I asked them to make sure nothing containing gluten was put on the plate. They put pickled beetroot on my salad. Pickled in barley malt vinegar. When my mouth started to burn I asked if the vinegar was gluten free? The lady in the kitchen said yes, it only contains barley. I had to tell her that barley is gluten! I tried to be brave but five minutes later I ran down to the toilets and vomited. They didn’t even come down to see if I was ok or if I needed an ambulance or anything (luckily I didn’t). I’ve been ill for two days now. Do not eat here if you have allergies or need a free from meal!

Amazing place. You don't have to be religious to go. The food is very good, and big portions. About the same price as eating at Costa, but with the food freshly made! And fast! I don't know how they manage it. The cakes are amazing, but this is my first time having lunch and my friends haven't stopped talking about it! We will be back soon.

This place is a hidden gem! We had a dinner, bed and breakfast package for just one night and it was amazing value for money. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. There was an extensive menu choice for our evening meal and all the items we ordered were good quality, well cooked and generous in terms of portion size. The beer was well kept and the wine list surprisingly good and reasonably priced in my view. We had the full English breakfast in the morning with items being locally sourced and high quality. The coffee was good and the toast was made from artisan sourdough bread. The staff are terrific, being friendly, polite and professional and they worked together as a well-organised team. One last thing to mention is that the Olive Branch is perfectly located for walks along the canal.
