The White Hart Hotel in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Attended private birthday party. Food, drink, service and ambience excellent.

Old hotel from the time when Hayle was an important ironworks town. Authentic with lots of charm, the bar is a typical local gathering place. Nice outdoor area with sun, 10 minutes' walk to the train and bus. Restaurant with very good English food! The rooms are old and would not benefit from a bit of an upgrade.

Went for a lunch with a large group - over 20. The location is perfect, carparks nearby including free parking at Asda (3hrs and no need to shop). The service was excellent and food was very good. Reasonable prices and venue is full of atmosphere. Plenty of paintings and memorabilia. Definitely worth a visit - so much to see.

The staff are very attentive and helpful. I asked for something that was not on menu and it was delicious, thank you 🙏 The art in this hotel is incredible and unique. If you are looking for a trendy modern place to stay, this is definitely not going to be your cup of tea, but if you appreciate art, you will not be disappointed. This is probably the last of true Cornish hotels the way they used to be.
