Dave's Diner in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Amazing! Noticed this diner as we drove past & we’re so glad we decided to stop for a meal. As an American in England I was thrilled to find a genuine roadside diner, & even more so one with such great food. Beautifully presented & absolutely delicious—I only wish we lived closer. Highly recommend, the staff & atmosphere are great too.

Soon as you walked in all it smelt of was greasy fat cooking food wasn't great never go there again

Having seen a lot of photos and posts on social media we just had to see what all the fuss was about......YOU MUST try this place. It may not look much from the outside but once you step inside you are in an authentic american diner. We ordered flat white and mocha, poached egg, avocado on sourdough and the banana waffles. Really good sized servings, excellent presentation but tasted soooooo good. Service was prompt and friendly. Would highly recommend this place and yes it is worth all that social media fuss

Popped in for lunch, really great food, friendly welcoming staff, clean and good decor. Only off putting thing was it was quite cold inside. Will certainly vist again.

Have eaten here a few times. Very good service, with having a food allergy they do go above and beyond to ensure you can fully enjoy your food. Only a 4 star, is their gluten free option unfortunately doesn't extend to the desserts which was disappointing. Everything is cooked separate too and the fries are gorgeous.

Everytime we visit Cornwall, we have to make a special trip to Teecee’s. It’s our all time favourite. The waffles are absolutely amazing and I crave them all of the time!

Great place to eat. There was 11 of us and both food & drinks were quick to come out. Food & service were great. Definitely heading back soon.

We stopped here for breakfast. This diner is located in an industrial estate on a main road but do not let that you put off. The décor inside is very nice with comfortable booth style seating. We ordered a full breakfast and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Everything was delicious. The only negative for us was that when we visited there was one table of 7 very loud workmen. The service was polite and friendly throughout. Along with a vanilla latte and a dark Americano the bill came to £32.25. We would recommend.

Passed by this place so many times and finally decided to pop in as we had nowhere else to be on Sunday when driving by and we were starving. Food was amazing (we had a mixture of a breakfast, burger, waffles and mac & cheese). Definitely going there again.

We ate here twice it was that good. Breakfast was delicious 😋 and a work of art. The food is excellent, and prices are a little high, but thought it was worth it. Love the atmosphere. Service was good, just a little slow.

Based on today's visit the music was too loud and the staff told me that they have no control over it which I find bizarre. It should only be background noise and not overpowering. This is my second visit and have to say that it's put me off returning.

Brilliant little dinner fantastic decor proper American style dinner booths with tables named after American states we sat in the window booth called Nevada. We ordered a chocolate milkshake and a Salted Caramel Shake both lovely thick with whipped cream and a cherry on top perfect. Brilliant menus packed with food. I had the waffles and chicken lovely soft waffles crispy on the outside soft in the centre it came with perfect succulent breaded chicken that went brilliant with the syrup top marks. My wife ordered the the full TEE CEE breakfast, and it didn't disappoint beautiful sausage and 2 bacon with crisp sourdough bread a poached egg and tomato and baked beans with lovely brown mushrooms and this comes with a potato rosti. The restaurant has epic 50s - 60s memorabilia and cool music. The staff waitress was very nice and professional. Well, worth a stop if you're in this neck of the woods a fantastic dinner experience

Absolutely fabulous meal again. Very busy but kept us informed of timings. Staff friendly and good natured even though one serving and one cooking. Burgers, chicken burgers, fries, onion rings amazing. Pancake fries were to die for. Highly recommend a visit. Shame they are only open 9 to 3. Amazing friendly place and wonderful food.

Have been twice in 5 days. Food was absolutely amazing! The home made hot sauce is phenomenal and desserts are to die for!! The staff are warm and friendly and always smiling even when they're run off their feet. Just the best food I've tasted in ages. Wish the hot sauce was bottled to buy and wish this was a franchise so we could regularly visit where we live in the Midlands. Wow . ..an absolute must for anybody visiting Cornwall.

Quirky but incredibly overpriced

If you like a proper full English breakfast, cooked with quality ingredients, and served with a smile, then this is the place for you!

The service and the atmosphere was brilliant. Loved the banana milkshake, however found the food was average at best.

I came here for a meal with my partner on our first trip to Cornwall. It was busy Bank Holiday but our young waitress Ella was polite and kind. She made me and my wife very happy. I enjoyed the Empire Burger.

A lovely American Diner.... We were on our way to Carbis Bay and stopped off here for some food. Service was quick and attentive. Food was gorgeous. It was very quiet when we were there. I would definitely recommend.

We are American tourists visiting Cornwall and found this place, it is fantastic! The service is kind and friendly, the environment is to die for, and the food is a work of art! You can tell the chef takes pride in his work. I asked for an extra side of Strawberries and he cut one of the Strawberries into a rose! Fantastic food and presentation, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic prices! You must go here, don't miss it!

Staff were very friendly and efficient and and we were made to feel most welcome. The American diner theme is great and the music complimented this. The food was just incredible and the portion size is more than enough for anyone. Would thoroughly recommend! We will be going back. 😃

£12.50 for a takeaway breakfast. Way overpriced for what you get i think. Won't use again. Better value for money elsewhere

This is a fun spot to visit with friends, as a couple or as a family. The American diner theme is strong with the tables named after different states. The food is always good and the milkshakes are amazing. The menu caters for vegetarians and gluten free options are available for people who are intolerant to gluten (not Coeliac). If you're hungry and feel like a treat it's a great place to go!

Unfortunately this place was empty when we visited so no atmosphere. Food was pretty good but slightly overpriced.

Great place, newly done, really clean and a great menu based on an American Diner. Friendly service and reasonably priced too. They have a good menu with plenty to choose from including some nice desserts. The burgers are very good and my son loved the hotdog. Give it a try, next to St.Erth station. Ideal when you have just got off the train from a ling day walking around St.Ives. One of the best things about Cornwall. Great food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Food is beautifully cooked and portions generous.

Popped in for dessert and coffee. Not too busy, greeted and seated with warmth and politeness, good portion sizes, great quality ingredients. Most importantly, good strong coffee!

Very quiet when we ate in, Monday morning in term time. Sunrise waffles and crispy chicken waffles were very good. Good coffee, good music.

Went for first time today for breakfast. Quick service. Waitresses were great. Food was good. Only thing I'm not sure about is the rostie on the breakfasts. We were expecting a potato one but it was I think potato on the outside and a floury dough type thing inside. Didn't taste of much. But maybe that's what thre ones are. Didn't comment while there as the rest was nice enough. I'll prob go again to give it a 2nd run

Enjoyed an amazing breakfast and lovely coffee I had the Poachies, my husband had the full English and he is not easily pleased highly recommended.

An outstanding breakfast in a fun and entertaining American diner style restaurant. All of the family enjoyed this breakfast and we're still raving about it a week later. If you're close by and looking for a hearty breakfast, please just go.

Hard to find great burgers in St Ives but this place is amazing try it out you won't be disappointed.

Great lunch break after visiting St Michael's Mount: the hamburgers are very good, we recommend the one with pulled pork and the California.

Food was expensive, and not a massive choice of what to have either The coffee was good, the decor was cool and clean and tidy. It was crazy cold in there everyone left jackets, also trying to have a chat with the music was difficult, way too loud

Popped in for breakfast whilst staying in St Ives for a few days and we were so impressed, we went back two more times. Great food, milkshakes were delicious and staff were so friendly. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

Brilliant, reasonably priced excellent food. Succulent burgers - their breakfasts are just yummy! Visited as part of birthday celebrations with a lactose intolerant friend. They could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable about how they were cooking their ingredients from fresh. Will keep on comming back here - luckily I live nearby!!

Food was not great had the big breakfast (king teecees i think it was called), my partner had the same and half of hers was missing(like how does that even happen?) the best bit was the sausages and the bacon, fried egg wasn't too bad, poached was terrible, everything was cold, garnished with spring onion and parsley on a breakfast ???

Great quality food. Excellent service. Great staff. A little cold inside. Hand dryer in men's bathroom blows very cold air. Impressive commitment to the theme and it works well! Lots of options. Good speed of service. Dated exterior. Somewhat awkward parking. Very generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for breakfast on our way home after a week's holiday. Fabulous!! Very friendly and accommodating staff, added bonus dog friendly 🐩🐕 A lovely relaxed atmosphere and impeccably clean. Value for money.. for a great breakfast and all hot and fresh. Hope next time to manage a milkshake 🥤 Will definitely return.

We came from St Ives to St Erth on the train (St Ives Bay Line) and found this place on Google Maps for Brunch - The food was excellent, we were very surprised with the quality of the food at this Diner. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this place.

Been trying to get here for a while and the stars finally aligned. Went for "brunch" and had the pancakes with back bacon and maple syrup, which was awesome. Service was friendly and incredibly helpful - I won't go into the details of the lost keys, but the team couldn't have been more understanding and kindly even checked in the carpark. 10/10

What a great place to visit, The American Diner experience is what you feel when you walk in... The food is freshly cooked,and you can see the chef whilst he is preparing it for you. The burgers are the best I have ever eaten out...proper beef , I'm looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu Well done to the owner 👏

Popped in on our way to Penzance and we had a cracking breakfast. My wife had a full Teecee’s and I had their vegetarian option, they were both excellent, freshly cooked with great ingredients and very reasonably priced. We will be popping in again very soon!

Visited here today while on holidays, lovely place. Very clean and tidy. The waitress was very nice and very helpful. Between the 4 of us we had a mix of most things, burgers, chicken, mac and Cheese. All the food was nice, the smash patties in the burger were spot on. The fried chicken was beautiful, loved the chilli dip that came with it. Decent portion sizes here and fairly priced. Overall a good dining experience. Parking outside and located out of the way of busy roads. Definitely recommend!

Staff were super friend. The food really was great. Proper diner style. Obviously the place was a bit gimmicky, but thats what you should expect. Its fun. Its definetly one of my local low key recomendations.

Tried to have breakfast here on Saturday after a four hour drive but was too early. Decided to come back today and I’m super glad I did - the food OMG the food!! Clearly local produce - super tasty and portions “generous”!. Shakes epic. I am literally stuffed!!! Derive bang-on too 👍 Please try this - it’s wonderful 👍

Food and prices are great but had a bit of bad experience with the service staff. There was a judgy young girl to serve us. 1) Got the order wrong - and then says it was us who ordered it. 2) as the service was slow I left the money on the table - girl came running outside claiming we haven't paid without checking. 3) you won't get service until you ask. Looks like they are under staffed. Coffee and waffles were great.. Shame I won't be coming back.

A great place to eat with staff who are very knowledgeable on coeliac disease, the chef took the time to speak to me about what they offered that would be safe for my daughter to eat. Highly recommend, especially if you're coeliac.
