Costa Coffee in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Visited Saturday (3rd May 2025 )Bank Holiday between 10-11am. Friendly service from both members of staff, maybe another member of staff scheduled would have helped. Very busy with queue nearly out of the door, waited just under 10 minutes to be served. Card only payments. Alot of the food options were out of stock, so I just purchased a drink. Lots of customers are sitting inside and a few feeding the seagulls outside - might need to put signs on the tables asking them not too - before it becomes a bigger problem.

My sister and I went for coffee after being apart for two years It was very tragic, but when we got there it was a very weird atmosphere, we got a coffee and they were cold and the cups were dirty and we wouldn't be going back again x

The food & Cappachino was very nice, however the tables were dirty. Should not have to ask for them to be cleaned Before you sit down to eat/ drink.😂

Didn't eat, cakes and snacks served here, you want to call that food, crack on, service, hmmmmm, only wanted two cups of coffee, over ten minutes, that to me is a long time, i know that because i timed it, might sound axnal, not really they charge enough for it, i want it now, not in ten minutes, not next week. atmosphere, give me a break, what atmosphere, people sat around on mobile phones and laptops in there own little world, im afraid people, the world is outside, not on mobiles, one of the only places ive never tidied up after myself, normally put cups, waste on a tray take it to the counter, so others can just sit straight at the table, not here, i payed enough, you clean it up, happy days.

Terrible no smiles coffee basically thrown at you, hardly any breakfast and it’s 10.10 am. Nothing set up no apologise. Been here lots of times but never met tow rude can’t be bothered women, go home if you don’t want to be here, coz people having coffee from their faces the way they weee treated don’t want to be here either

Good service and nice clean venue. Easy to park even in peak holidays. Actually felt quiet in there.

the coffee and cookies here are delicious indeed! the mugs are a very generous size too - we love it. service is also brilliant, the staff are delightful & hardworking. and finally i'm OBSESSED with the interior, it is literally so cute + creates a cosy atmosphere🤍

The second time we have visited for breakfast and been told that there was no bread or tea cakes

This is a very nice Costa since the refit. Staff are friendly and very efficient. Plenty of sockets. Free parking in the Retail Park.

Super clean, legions of plug sockets, and good vegan selection. The pecan BOSH slice here was the lovey super dense version, rather than the looser/softer one that’s appeared at some branches. Though it’s on a retail park, the view of landscaped shrubbery gives a slighter more oasis end feel than location would suggest. Well made mocha.

Clean tables and quick service.

Lovely pleasant staff. Nicely revamped but air conditioning was on so very chilly.

We tried to order some toast but there was no bread. Only one member of staff who didn't seem particularly interested.

Good Costas. The entrance to the carpark is very busy and tight, but there are always spaces by Costa's

First and last I'm afraid. The que was out past the door with 2 members of staff. With respect, these 2 need some training... poor knowledge of what's on the menu and when it came to announcing your order was ready... well, a mouse could have made more noise.. The only positive side to this review is to say that a female member of staff then joined them and seemed to take over and made a huge difference. Coffee was OK.. but not up to other Costa's ... just tasted kind of weak and watery I'm afraid we won't return in a hurry Keisha and Craig from newquay

Usual Costa coffee. Only use it because it is slightly better than M&S. If there was an independent here or even Cafe Nero I would use that.

Hi called in here Fri 11th Aug on our way down to Penzance. Really good quick service but more importantly, welcoming happy staff who were happy to help us with some yogurts we had brought in for our autistic son who has a very limited diet! We will always call for lunch whenever we are traveling down here now and thats because of the staff that day and how they made us feel welcome ! Thanks again

Waited for 10 minutes then gave up. Staff laughing and joking whilst serving incredibly slowly.

Haven't been in for ages, due to a poor experience last time, BUT... They've upped their game, speedy service, polite staff, clean, tidy seating area. Food/drink very good... though hot food range was limited, but that's probably due to the time of year

Weak as pee hot chocolates. Obviously the two lads serving did not want to be there.

Went in for lunch on the 28th October No dishwasher , only cash no sandwiches or any food on display . A small list of sandwiches available was not given a plate or spoon for drinks my drink was not hot , 3 staff kept disappearing into kitchen chatting . Costa need to sort this out . Expensive an not pleasant lunch . Been better off closing AWFUL !!

Great staff, very friendly and professional. Pity the franchisee doesn’t fix the fridge or sort the card machine out; your team deserves better!.

This particular place always looks dirty, was only accepting cash and the staff looked bored

Went in today to get a hot chocolate, was told it was cash only but had to have the right amount as they couldn’t give me change? Got my drink in a large cup as they clearly had run out of medium cups but wasn’t told this! not asked if I wanted cream etc. overall an absolutely awful experience. Girl who made my drink didn’t even say a word just slammed the drink down and walked off all in all I won’t be going back.

If I'm paying £6.75 for a panini and a tea I at least expect a napkin and a smile!

The caramel lattes wernt made correctly there was so much cream when the lid was placed on the cup it was going everywhere it made the cup sticky and messy very hard to have.

They do lovely decafe coffee there and it is amazing also the staff are friendly and helpful and polite and amazing and fantastic

Liked the old points based customer rewards scheme, now it's no different to all other coffee shops. Now l visit the most convenient !!!

Staff were too busy talking to give customer service, food counters half empty & when asked could our reusable cups be washed we were told to go to the toilet as they were busy! Gossiping more like. Definitely wouldn't go again

Just purchased a latte with coconut milk today and half of the coffee shot was running down the side of the mug before it went into the drink, all because the staff were chatting and not concentrating on the machine, leaving me with a very very weak latte, despite it being an already milkier drink, it was almost a glass of milk! For £3.10!

Average Costa that needs to open a lot earlier. 8.30 is silly. I think the local Starbucks open at 7. I prefer Costa but of they're not open then they're not getting my business.

My last two visits were not good. Last time it was shut due to staff problems and the time before the staff member was very rude and absolutely insisted on taking personal details, to buy a coffee to take away. Obviously gave a silly name and address, maybe I should have asked for his personal details too. Yeah never again. Bad coffee too.

My wife love costa... I personally don't like the place 3quid for a rubbish cup of tea, not for me ....

Staff (especially the young lady) super friendly and super super helpful. We were camping and had no access to wi fi. The young lady sorted my partner with a seat near a power socket and good wi fi. She then turned off the music so my partner could do an important video conference . Star employee . Thank you so much as my partner was very anxious about the vc but you made it an easy experience!

1.35 and no sandwiches. One flavour panini left. No choice of cake left. Coffee was cold. Toilet disgusting!! Pee all over seat and floor. Toilet so low only ok for small children. Handryer not working so few paper tiwels to dry hands. Was stood waiting to be served cus staff stood talking. Will never go again. Went next door but one to M&S ti get a hot coffee as the weather extremely wet and cold day.

I have a lovely experience, was helped by an unknown family, just went I was beginning to lose my faith in humanity

Didn't even think it was open, no tables or chairs outside. Staff were great but place felt unloved stuck on end of precinct.

Had quite a complicated order for a group of 4 and all drinks were correct including alternative milk drinks, very friendly staff and even though rather busy, social distancing and masks were all present which made us feel very secure. Drinks were of good quality and would definitely come back to this location. Overall, good service, great drinks and very happy.
