I hosted my son's Christening reception at The White Hart in lovely Fulbourn and wow- Chris and his team did a wonderful job for us. They decorated the space for us as we'd asked, were extremely friendly and welcoming to our guests, and above all the food was fantastic. It was all delicious and beautifully presented. Our guests commented on how good the food was (amazing homemade Scotch eggs and sausage rolls!) and also what a lovely pub it is. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The White Hart to others and would consider it for hosting family events in future, and will certainly be back to enjoy meals in the pub. Thank you so much, Chris, and our best wishes to you, your family and team.

The room I'm in is under improvement. And that was explained to myself upon booking in. If this had of been a problem I would have openly spoke to the host. The fresh and friendly warm greeting, great hospitality and warm aptomosphere far out weigh anything else. Understanding your host is working hard to improve your stay whilst keeping his family buisness going was easy for me. Manners, politeness and a warm welcome go a long way. Would I stay here again. 1000%. And I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your lovely family all the very best of success in your future here at this fine establishment. Your front of house staff are also excellent are worthy of recognition. Thanks again Chris and the wider team and family members behind the scenes. PS the Kebab is a must. Beautiful fresh home cooked food. Thank you.

We stayed here for one night after a New Market event. The room was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty and actually lots of hazards we was told we was upgraded as our room was being refurbished. When the lady took us into our room there was random empty draws on the bed and she said sorry I don't know why these are in here. Anyway the first thing I noticed was the floor. We had part tile which as badly grouted with screws sticking up, and tiles lifting. There was bare ply steps which were a splinter hazard to say the least. Live wires randomly coming out of the floor. There was lots of bugs everywhere and the room had definitely not been cleaned in ages and sheets had hairs in them. The bathroom door was dangerous as it was getting stuck on the floor and I caught my foot in it several times. I have given 2 stars as the food was nice but unfortunately we would never stay here again as I've got to say it was the worst place I have ever stayed in. It's a shame we was in such a rush or I would have complained and gone else where. Hopefully after the refurb it might get better but I won't be trying it out as feel the room shouldn't have been available in this state anyway. I think the photos speak for them selves. I would not stay here again if you paid me.

So disappointing. Visited on Friday evening with family to celebrate my elderly Mums Birthday, service was poor and incredibly slow the food didn't justify the time it took to get to us. To cap off the evening we were denied deserts because the Chef (if they actualy have one ) finished at 8.30. Having visited the White Hart successfully several times in the past we won't be back sadly.

Celebrating a Birthday with Family, table of 8. Such a let down as have eaten here several times in the past but won't be going back. Poor service, poor food which was expensive for what we got and to top it all we couldn't have deserts because rhe Chef (if they actualy have a chef) finishes at 8.30 on a Friday. Very dissappinting and felt bad for my elderly Mum who wanted to treat us all.

Came here for father's day. Has completely changed from the usual Sunday lunch and it now has a Greek hint to the menu. We both had the beef and it very pleasant. The meat was tender and very well presented on roast potatoes and was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was a bit more expensive then the usual Sunday roast but well worth it. Would definitely come again. Highly recommend.

We live in the next village and have passed by the pub so many times. We had seen the new menu and decided to give it a try, we were t disappointed. We had the Turkish dishes for starter and main and they they were delicious. We would definitely go back and as they have more traditional pub fair we could take my parents who prefer more traditional pub food. Was also good value and didn’t feel rushed. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Honestly terrible. We arrived during the stated check in times on the website and was told by the lady at the bar that the owner was at the shop so we’d need to wait until he was back. We were already late to a wedding due to an accident on the motorway, so after waiting for around 10/15 mins said we couldn’t wait any longer and asked if we could leave our bags and check in after the wedding at around half past midnight. She confirmed that was fine and someone would be there to check us in, so we arrived at the property after the wedding and it was all locked up and no one was around. After calling the number on the website and ringing the bell multiple times with no luck, we had to sleep on our friend’s floor to avoid being stranded in the middle of the night with our belongings in the property! We spoke to the owner the next morning and he promised a full refund, which he subsequently confirmed on the phone… a month later and he offered a partial refund (which I refused) and then said he is not willing to give us the refund that was promised. The management team need to sort out their check in protocol - there should be someone on site at all times during the stated check in hours who is able to check guests in and staff shouldn’t tell guests they can leave belongings and check in late if it can’t actually be accommodated! Avoid at all costs!

What a shame, rooms for £100 are ok but tired, clean and tidy though. Service was attentive but the younger staff don't understand what a restaurant should be like. Starter was my own poor choice but the ribeye steak arrived seconds after the starter with no questions as to how I'd like it cooked, not sure why I didn't get any cutlery. Chips were oven chips and the veg was slimy slightly cold and tasted tinned. The member of staff who did ask how things were was obviously embarrassed about my comments and there's an under new management sign outside. Not sure if it's bar or table service as I had a bit of both, don't expect to be asked what wine, beer or how you'd like things cooked. You'll have to be proactive for that. I was staying there but went to another pub in the village after the meal. A real disappointment.

2 of us came here on a Friday night for a drink and a snack. The interior is SO nice. Im kicking myself for not taken any photos! Rustic farmhouse conversion style space with wooden beams, flowers on each table and a display for wine. We shared a plaice and chips - so delicious, really crispy and not greasy at all. I would definitely come again to try try other dishes on the menu. The staff were all lovely and the place had a really relaxed vibe to it. All that was missing was a comfy armchair to enjoy a pint in :) Highly recommended!

Only a quick visit this time, tasty food and excellent service. Thank you. Update (dec 2023) NOW 1 STAR Have been here many times over the last 6 years, but today arrived to find a new management sign. When we went in it was empty apart from one other couple. The staff member who greeted us said he could possibly squeeze us in and we were literally squeezed in a corner next to the only other couple in the room. A nice lady then cleared and wiped the table, and took our drinks order (there was no drinks menu), she then came back to ask if pinot grigio was white wine. We were given a very limited menu, no traditional food, -no fish and chips, pies etc.we were disappointed but chose croque monsieur. However after half an hour no one had come to take our order . We caught the nice lady as she cleared the table of the other couple , and she said there would be a considerable wait. We had already been there 40 mins. So we went to the bar paid for our drinks and left. There is no mention on the website of the new management and reduced menu, and we were VERY disappointed with our visit. I hope this is just teething trouble, and they can get their act together, because this has been a great pub for years, and we've had lots of great meals here. Sorry to say we probably wont be back.

The White hart is under new management, started last week without enough rehearsals. Service very slow in the restaurant, only two tables occupied. Menu now limited plaice in batter was replaced with cod in batter, what turned up was cod in breadcrumbs! The chips were fine. No kids menu and no dessert menu. Chef came out to intimidate for asking for dessert menu. Room was booked for a one night stay we were shown in to a tiny room where the double bed was jammed against two walls. There was also a terrible drains smell. We decided to leave and brave the freezing fog on the M25 rather than stay there. The menu on their Web site us out of date

We went for Sunday roast. We liked the location and the fact that dogs are allowed. It is warm and cosy pub. We loved this place and the friendly welcome we received when we arrived. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. After a great night's sleep and a good shower using lovely fluffy towels, we went down for breakfast, served between 7.30am and 9.30am we were told, at 8.45am approximately. We were the only diners and our breakfast looked good when it arrived, but it was cold which is why overall we can't 5 star rate our stay. The coffee was not good either compared with the great coffee the lovely woman on duty when we arrived made us after our night out on Tuesday 24th. We just felt little things were missing as well at breakfast, like clean side plates for toast rather than everything lumped onto one plate. There were jams for toast provided so a fresh plate would have been good. It felt as if providing us with breakfast was a bit of an effort given we were the last to be served assuming there were others staying. We didn't see anyone else! We'd like to return knowing next time we'd enjoy our breakfast as we did love the place and there was good parking too.

I dont usually leave reviews but felt i should on this occasion. I came here yesterday for Sunday turkey roast. Arrived at 12:30 and it was empty all but one table. We ordered and food came out in minutes (obviosly microwaved) ........ it was by far, the worst roast i have ever had in a pub or restaurant Potatoes were bland n tasteless, (not seasoned). The turkey looked n tasted like a Bernard Mathews packet slice of turkey, again no taste. Gravy was like water. There was absolutely no seasoning on it at all. To summise, it was a bland tasteless microwaved meal. The venue is beautiful, staff were polite, helpful and efficient but food was terrible. The family sitting at table next to us, all left at least half of their food, as did my mrs. Come on guys, sort it out. Its not of an acceptable quality to serve to paying customers.

Just visited for a Sunday roast for a family get together. Chose this pub as we have come here over the last few years and a very positive experience the last time was Dec 2022. Start with the positives waitress was very pleasant and took our order quickly and they were helpful. Now the Bad!!! We ordered 2 x roast pork and 4 x roast beef, £15.95 and £16.95 prices 1 x duck Salad 2 x Cajun Chicken. Meals came out quickly the duck was nearly non existent and hard by all accounts and the pork dinners were pork medallions so not from a pork roast, the beef was absolutely diabolical, it had definitely not come from a joint. It had been put in the microwave!!! Yorkshire pudding was OK, veg was carrots, cabbage and courgette which looked pre packed, again microwaved, Roast potatoes were OK not the best I have had again I suspect from a packet. I told the pleasant waitress that this was probably my worst roast dinner in a pub and will not be returning. Refused to pay full price for the 4 x roast dinners, the manager wasn't even present and had to be called to approve the removal of 1 roast beef as compensation, considering there was beef left on all 4 plates! You cannot charge prices like that for roast dinners when its out of a packet! Alarm bells should have rung when we walked in as the place was 1/4 full at 1pm on a Sunday. This pub has always used to be full and the food was great, maybe its changed hands. Steer Clear we wont be returning......

I popped in today for a spontaneous lunch date with my 3 year old son. I’ve never been before and was pleasantly surprised! Arriving anywhere with a hangry toddler isn’t easy, but the woman serving the bar and tables was amazing with him. She even let him have a little after dinner chocolate to buy me time to look at the menu and place an order ~ if it wasn’t for her my experience could have been very different. I had a pizza, clearly fresh dough, loaded with a selection of beautiful cheeses and fresh basil. My son had a kids fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had some nice cordials in the courtyard garden and even my son’s drink had a lovely fruit garnish. Although we sat outside the restaurant inside was incredibly attractive. I only live up the road and have just found a decent all-round pub, suitable for everything from child friendly lunches and refreshments to nice evening dinners with friends. Again, I cannot praise the woman who served us enough - she was attentive, thoughtful and helpful. Thank you!

I have arrived on a Saturday evening at this pub and it was suspiciously empty. The place looked nice inside. I haven’t stayed at the hotel, I’ve had a pizza there and it was terrible, just a ready pizza served at a pub price, not tasty at all. I’ve refused the pizza and I’ve asked if I still have to pay for it and the reply was that I was the only person who didn’t like it and I still have to pay for it. It is obvious that I will not set foot there again. I’ve also ordered a prawn cocktail starter with brown bread and I’ve received a cocktail that you can find in the stores with some salad and dressing. The bread was just regular sliced bread, not a proper bread from a bakery. The price was nearly £9 for that, so overpriced for something so mediocre. I would give this place a miss if you want to eat a proper meal! Really disappointed about this place and the prices are quite steep as well.

Nice interior with regards to the restaurant, but the rest does let it down, stayed here for three nights with my wife, daughter, and her boyfriend as we were attending a wedding on the Friday, accommodation was extremely basic to say the least and hygiene was borderline, you could clearly see where dirt remained on doors where they’ve been pushed shut, which indicated they hadn’t been clean for sometime, regards to the breakfast as this was in with the accommodation was okay, but it would’ve been nice if it would’ve been hot and not borderline cold, we dined in the restaurant in the evenings twice, but again, unfortunately was let down by the food one of the dishes we had was a chicken kebab with a wrap and chips, which was a mistake, the chicken was dry and the bread that came with it was very hard, only thing that was reasonably decent was the chips, we wasn’t asked if we enjoyed meals, so I mentioned this upon paying and all I got was sorry about that so I just paid then left, I did notice someone else complained about their room upon departure and again was met with the same sorry about that, then they left to pack their car. I noticed that no feedback was given to the manager that was standing about 15 feet away, on our last night, we decided to give them another chance and we ate in the restaurant again, but unfortunately when I complained with regards to the home-made chicken and ham and mushroom pie was burnt and tasted burnt, again all I was met with was sorry about that, it dose seem that none of the feedback gets back to the kitchen or the manager, gives you the impression they don’t really care because they know that the pub is just a stopgap and the chances of you returning is somewhat rare, I can guarantee we won’t be staying there again if up that way.

Came in for Sunday lunch and a pint. I can't help but be so negative, but this was the worst roast dinner me and my partner have had, we found it funny. Meat was dry, aunt bessy potatoes, Yorkshire puddings weren't fresh the general quality of food was like school dinner or hospital food. There was a big sign outside saying full time chef wanted, we should've taken that as a sign! Also, the Guinness was watery. Food was good although a little pricey, along with the service charge. Our room stank of smoke

Haven't been here for a few years and could not believe the prices of the dishes on the menu. Fish and chips £17.50 - thats insane! I would like to know what makes the fish and chips that special?! I had to go and place our order at the bar even though there really wasn't many people out at that time of day. I ordered steak ciabatta with cheese, I was told that it already came with cheese and I ordered a pepperoni pizza for my partner. When food arrived there was no sign of any cheese so I sent it back to source some cheese, it had been microwaved on return as it was far to hot to handle. The pizza was thin and lacked flavour I'm afraid to say. So all in all 2 and a 1/2 cokes, 1 pizza, 1 ciabatta and chips for £40 seems crazy when I had to order my food myself and was not overly impressed when it did come, shame they didn't have a front of house to meet and greet as well.

Just had a Sunday roast today which was very ordinary. We’ve eaten on a Saturday which has been okay but unfortunately we won’t be returning for Sunday lunch again. Waiting staff polite and friendly.

Excellent food and table service. Gets very quiet after 9pm, which is a shame

Good food and service, strange that kitchen shuts at 2 on a Saturday. Pork souvlaki was good and a good portion

I had the chicken souvlaki, served on a flatbread . It was nice enough for a pub chain although the the flatbread was hard and inedible, it would have made an excellent after dinner Frisbee.

We stopped here for lunch today. The food was delicious. We had the steak ciabatta with chips and the duck wrap. Good size portions, very presented and very hot! We had a lovely young waitress. The decor was rustic and warm and welcoming. We will definitely be going back for dinner at some point. Highly recommend 👌 UPDATE: Had another amazing lunch here on 30th April 2022. It was a 50th Birthday lunch. Such a great choice on the menu and a very enjoyable day 😀

High price for Sunday lunch with little meat, lots of fat and missing key elements on some plates. Rude waiting staff and owner.

Unfortunately the kitchen was out of service, but the beer and cider are highly recommended. Baarkeep quick and friendly. Star deduction for sticky tables.

Came a couple of weeks ago and had the Sunday roast which was lovely, decent portions and good price so decided to come back today. The kids meals were good and they enjoyed it, the wife's meal was also good but my beer batter cod (£13) was just two small pieces of fish tail, 26 skinny chips, dry lemon and spoonful of peas. I actually thought it was a kids portion. I do have to say the staff was apologetic and helpful and offered a refund or different meal. I'd definitely come back for the Sunday roast but not a week meal. PS: Make what you want of the onion rings and the wife's coleslaw
