Oh my! I've eaten in many places, but I have to admit that the burger and fries here were THE BEST I've had anywhere in the world (that includes a 2*Michelin restaurant)... Perfectly salted, seasoned.... Mmmmm.. Plus the service was great. Thank you H&R for your understated yet absolutely perfect service and delivery. I'm coming here again, many times!!!

We popped into The Hat and Rabbit in Fulbourn on a quiet Tuesday evening for a midweek bite — not expecting anything fancy, just something decent. What we got instead was exceptional. I ordered the pan-fried sea bass, served with chive mash and caper butter, and honestly, it was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a pub setting. The fish was perfectly cooked, skin crispy, and the buttery, zesty caper sauce pulled everything together beautifully. The mash was light and herby — absolutely spot on. My partner went for the classic fish and chips, and it did not disappoint. The cod was fresh, flaky, and the batter was golden and unbelievably crispy. It’s rare to get that perfect balance — but they nailed it. The service was equally impressive — super friendly, warm, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they care. The vibe is relaxed but has that elevated, modern gastro pub feel — stylish without being pretentious. We can’t wait to go back again soon — this might just become our new regular. Highly recommended for anyone in or around Fulbourn looking for great food and a lovely evening out.

Gorgeous country pub we had some lovely food which was really tasty & excellent value for money We sat in the fabulous garden that has really comfy chairs & tables a kids play area, a covered area with sofas. Liam was our host not sure if he is landlord or manager & was so charming & helpful Highly recommend this place & definitely will be back

Fantastic newly refurbished pub with luxury outdoor seating. The Pub has it's own coffee shop service with a great range of well sourced beans. The pizza was well presented and tasted lovely. The owners are always polite and helpful and you often see them keeping the site clean.

Had an evening meal and the starter was to die for (Bruschetta), just right for the weather, followed by fresh fish and chips. The new chef is top notch and makes the dishes for you, and always checks to see if you are enjoying it. Worth a visit- even if it is enjoying their new coffee shop. Cakes are amazing. Welcome addition to the village and serves all ages.

As a bit of a coffee snob, I was a bit skeptical about the coffee shop the pub now have. Pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! Definitely gives any of the coffee shops in town a run for their money. Very happy there's somewhere nice in the village to grab a cuppa and a slice of cake.

Loving the new coffee shop! I had rice pudding and a chai latte, delicious! I cant wait th try the cakes, they look amazing! Also, the pub has a lovely vibe and s very relaxing. The garden is lovely to sit in with all its new beautiful furniture. Thanks for a lovely experience! Definitely recommend! I also had a roast dinner recently it was lovely the beef was cooked to perfection and and homemade toffee pudding is soo good!

Just home from a lovely valentines meal. Food was lovely, dessert was yummy. Tables and decor set the mood with a fab pianist . Would recommend eating here , have also hired here for a function and I can honestly recommend trying this place out. Staff are all really friendly

Booked lunch at the Hat for our local U3A walking group (our first time there). Good pub food and drink at reasonable prices and a nice dining area. Pub manager Joey was courteous and attentive and we enjoyed our food. Would definitely return.

Arrived at this excellently refurbished pub with 12 other walkers for lunch and were warmly welcomed. Good well cooked food, a guest beer was available and also delicious mulled wine. I will definitely be visiting again.

Had a really nice lunch with pals last week. Super friendly service and a 3 course meal for £11 is amazing. The home made tomato soup was especially tasty, and I do love the local proper sausages. We all enjoyed our meals and felt quite full. So pleased we visited the pub for the first time in ages.

Came a couple of weeks ago and had the Sunday roast which was lovely, decent portions and good price so decided to come back today. The kids meals were good and they enjoyed it, the wife's meal was also good but my beer batter cod (£13) was just two small pieces of fish tail, 26 skinny chips, dry lemon and spoonful of peas. I actually thought it was a kids portion. I do have to say the staff was apologetic and helpful and offered a refund or different meal. I'd definitely come back for the Sunday roast but not a week meal. PS: Make what you want of the onion rings and the wife's coleslaw

Absolutely gorgeous meal today at Hat & Rabbit ! 16 of us descended at short notice for lunch. Service was fabulous and they catered for our kids and dogs 🐕 Nothing too much trouble and we would definitely go again 💕 Thank you so much to all the staff !! See you again soon

Had fish and chips there last week. Small bit of fish and hardly any chips Daughter had cheese bacon burger and bacon was very stringy.

The roast beef in particular was absolutely delicious 😋. The portions are very big, tasty and very good quality. The puds were fabulous too! Good selection of drinks with excellent friendly service. All in all, a great lunch in a lovely venue. We will be back!

New owners. Pub has become so much nicer. Don't go to the Six Bells - come here instead.

Visited on weekdays. A quiet and nice place to hang out with family and friends.. Not much option was there for food . Parking was free and easy to park

Popped in for lunch, having no idea what to expect. The chap working was very welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised with the menu, which had a good offering of main meals, but also sandwiches and jacket potatoes alongside the lunch set menu, which at £10:50 for 3 courses is an absolute bargain. We opted for 2 courses (£9.00). We both chose soup, homemade and vey tasty. I chose a cheese burger and my mum chose ham, egg and chips. The portion size was just right for a lunchtime, smaller than a standard main, but plenty to fill you up. Both choices were excellent, with the ham and the burger coming from the local butcher. I couldn't resist a portion of onion rings, too, and I think it was a whole onion!! Weboth really enjoyed our lunch and atmosphere. The service was great, and drinks were pretty reasonable too.

Under new management or ownership. Good choice of beers. Enjoyed a couple of pints, it's okay. Didn't eat so can't comment.

This pub has got absolutely bang on right. There is a warm welcome on entering, including dogs, there is a good selection of drinks - the Green King IPA is superbly kept - and a really good menu. The whole pub us clean, tidy and comfortable. We had the lunchtime special deal which offers smaller portions - just the right amount for lunch - at an extremely atractive price. If only more pubs could follow this example fewer would be forced to close.

We visited this place today for a sunday roast and only waited about 15 mins and the 3 roast we ordered were piping hot with good presentation service was good and will be going back for more highly recommended give it a go

Just got back from reopened Hat for mid week pints and a bit of grub. My pizza was good as was mates bangers nd mash. Smiley friendly landlady, deffo will return soon 👍🏻

We went here with a friend for the first time ever, and I had the best evening I've had in a long time. The staff were extremely nice, friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere, the whole place feels like a community, with many regulars present. They had a great selection of 80's/90's music playing, which was a very welcome surprise, and it added to the atmosphere. We ordered a three course meal, with crispy whitebait and garlic mushrooms for starters, which were nicely cooked. They also had some blancmange, which despite the cheesy smell, tasted brilliant with the fresh bread served alongside it. For mains, we had beef burgers and beef lasagna, all served with fries! The burgers were very tasty, but the lasagna was a bit dry, though still nice. The fries were excellent, especially with the cheese and bacon. Then was the dessert, with a delicious chocolate fudge cake, and a HEAVENLY waffle with caramel. It really ticked my sweet tooth, it was the nicest waffle I'd ever had. Overall, I highly recommend this place, even for the atmosphere alone. If you want some nice pub grub, they offer it for a very reasonable price! You can even bring your dog!

Well the Solpey Joe burger 🍔 is as good as what was served in the Old Orleans in Cambridge back in the day. A lovely experience with good beers & wines.

Service was slow to start with no acknowledgement we were there. Had breakfast which was very tasty. The tomatoes were too big and the toast could have been toasted for a little longer but over all very nice

I take my family here to eat and the food is bloody amazing! The staff are always polite and remember mine and my sons drink. Becoming an epileptic 6 yrs ago and with it getting worse I never go out,but the hat and rabbit always keep an eye on me and I'm quite safe in their hands. My family also love it there, it was my eldest sons idea to visit today! The dog loves a Sunday roast as well. I highly recommend 👌

Hat and Rabbit, called in for a lunchtime meal last week. Car parking at the front. Bright modern comfortable furnishings. Has a pool table and there are intimate areas to dine in. Has outside garden for children. Good beers on tap and good basic meal menu. We ordered a lasagne and chicken burger Staffing was good, did not have to wait very long. Good cloakroom facilities. Nice place to come if you want a pub that is not too noisey. Music is at a decent volume too.

We came here as an anniversary treat with my parents and wish we hadn't bothered. Disinterested staff and blaring football on the numerous TV's. Very poor menu and weird to find every meal the same price. I've never seen chips so white looked like they'd seen a ghost. The lasagne was dried out no sauce been reheated even though on complaining the manageress (I presumed) said it had just been grilled to crisp topping! What a load of rubbish especially on hearing shouting going on in the kitchens. Replacement meal was cod and chips left most of it. Have lived in the village all our lives and want be going here again no wonder it was dead for a Saturday night.

We have been coming here for the euro2020 for both England and Italy matches. It is overall nice, close enough from where i live, and there is not too much crowd, which is perfect at this times with covid. One match we went, 5pm on Sunday - at the end we were not able to order food at half time because the kitchen was closed on no notice. Party of 6 all suggested to come in this place by me. Ok, it is Sunday... after the match, we go to another place to have a meal. Second match all fine, with food until 9pm! Last one, this Friday - we were just my partner and I. We arrive 5 minutes to 8pm as we decided to walk so we were free to drink. We had booked, so expected no surprises. We arrive, tv is not showing the match, the remote does now work. After asking 3 times, we start to watch the match after the anthems - audio even 5 minutes further. Ok, let's be happy. It can happen... We order beers and finally start to relax. Food time? No, kitchen is closed (at 8:20!)... we booked, no warning. We arrived, no warning... Ok, let's be positive and find a solution - can we order uber eats at least? Answer: "No, we have crisps". Asked twice first by me and then by my partner to have something decent to eat. So, summary, half time and we run home with uber and ordered food with uber eats. To me, this story tells that this place has zero care and respect for customers. I think there is no room for this kind of pubs in an ambitious and modern town like Cambridge.

The food offer was not massive, but it was good and it did the job. The garden is gorgeous with plenty of comfortable space and the staff were really friendly, attentive and polite. I go to the pub to have a nice time and relax, and it really helps when you are treated properly.

Visited here a week ago with my family to have food in the beer garden. Burger was fantastic! Beautifully crispy fluffy chips, really nice homemade coleslaw and really really nice Mac and Cheese balls. Cannot wait to come back for more food!! Highly recommended.

Great family pub just outside Cambridge, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Good selection of food on the menu, (you must try the grilled halloumi!) Sports promotions, bar games, dogs welcome, Good play area outside for the kids.
