The White Hart in Lambeth

Came here for a quick bite to eat midweek. Service - brilliant and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food delicious, hot and quick to arrive. The pub itself has such a welcoming and cosy atmosphere, standards are amazing.

Loved the fish and chips here. Lovely vibe, nice atmosphere. I’d recommend going here for sure, lovely staff and food!

Me and a friend made a last minute decision to go here for lunch today and ended up staying on for a couple of drinks as we enjoyed it so much. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

They recommended it to us and the truth is that we were phenomenal, the atmosphere and the beers were great, we ate a hamburger that they recommended to us from the menu and it was very good A 100% success 👍🏻

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere that is relaxing and pleasant. The staff are amazingly friendly very welcoming and attentive. I would highly recommend a visit to meet friends for drinks or have a meal, a real little gem.

We are regular visitors- 6 or so times a year, with a spend of £300-£400 each time. Menu has been reduced + of the reduced items, some not available. 4 meals came and then waited another 10 minutes for the remaining 3. Empty glasses taken from the table whilst eating with no offer to refill. Some curt comment from a member of staff for standing near the bar hatch - I was not obstructing anyone. Normally very pleased, and hope our experience this time was a one off, otherwise we will find another venue.

Everything was lovely! I booked a table for 10 people, it was ready on time. The staff were attentive and lovely. They made my party top notch!

At 10pm the cleaner, whilst we were drinking and well before last orders started cleaning our tables and lifting our glasses to clean under them. Then she moved tables and seats around us despite being told someone was sat there. Incredibly rude and bizarre behavior from her. Never seen a pub operate like this in my life. Who starts cleaning whilst people are still drinking?

Forever my favorite pub in bankside! So cozy inside with good lighting and lots of space to talk to friends. It’s also a beautifully decorated pub. Screams Christmas.

Was here last week for some lunch and the camembert Was Devine ! Me and my coworkers were very happy with that, Also their fish and chips is also amazing !

I recently visited The White Hart Pub and was thoroughly impressed! The ambience is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the selection of drinks and food was fantastic. I highly recommend the hearty pub fare – it’s delicious! It is a great place to unwind after a long day. I’ll definitely be returning!

The drinks were made so fast, they’d put sonic the hedgehog out of business. The food was so tasty and amazing. The staff were so attentive and patient with ordering. Will definitely return for a cheeky pint!!

Works Christams meal. Not the best venue for a large group having a sit down meal. Good was good, my fish was cooked wonderfully. Service was slow between courses. Plus was that we never felt we were being rushed.

Really lovely, traditional English pub, Super friendly, clean well stocked. Staff was lovely one barmaid in particular went above and beyond by remembering our drinks order and checking in if we wanted to order food before a large party ordered so we didn’t have to wait, which was a really nice touch. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back and recommend others.

Disappointing. The plates for the Sunday roast looked depressing. I asked for more spuds as there were very few but the request was denied. I had been here 5-6 months ago and had been quite nice, so not sure if something had changed

Came here with a group of friends for our festive meet up and had a great time. Food and service were great, and the staff made sure we were happy throughout the entire meal. Christmas menu is very good value for how much you get, and they happily accommodated the children in our group. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful, vibrant pub tucked away on a cute side street in quintessential London. Excellent selection of beers & ales on tap and welcoming, attentive staff. The food was delicious too! We had a great time and will definitely be back for another visit. Highly recommended!

Great find, well worth walking around to see what is around Waterloo. Great beer, brill food, and staff were full of joy and happy to talk about the local area. It's london, so prices are high, but this was better than many in the city and it has good old British character. As a tourist, I felt very welcome, and please do try the crumble.

Had Sunday lunch here and it was really great. The food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. We were a party of 4 and had a variety of dishes but we all enjoyed our food. It was busy but the staff were unfailingly friendly and warm throughout our time there.

Reserved a space for a works drinks for around 25 people. Worked perfectly not stressful at all for me as organiser and Rio had us all served and tab running very easily. Great night out, thanks

Estábamos sentados en una de las pocas mesas sin cartel reservado. Tomamos una serie de bebidas y estábamos esperando para comer, pero nuestra mesa sin reservas de repente se convirtió en reservada por una fiesta de IBM. No pudimos pedir nuestra cena y nos echaron sin ceremonias. Sin explicación razonable y sin disculpas. Pis pobre servicio al cliente.

Muy mal servicio al cliente - no se recomienda. También los baños de señoras apestan al cielo y me dijeron que los caballeros no eran mucho mejores. Una vez me dijo un chef “nunca comas en un restaurante donde los baños no estén limpios, porque la cocina será la misma”.

Very disappointed. We were only in London for one Sunday and were excited for a Sunday Roast and after researching we decided the White Hart had the best looking Sunday roast. Therefore, we booked online and selected a Sunday roast option. When we turned up at the pub they told us they do not take reservations, however, moments later told us that they did but they had not reserved a table for us. There were still spare tables so that was no issue however they then informed us that although we had booked for a Sunday roast they didn't have any. When looking into other online reviews we have reliased this is a common issue for this pub. Very disappointed as we were excited for our Sunday roast after a long day and then were not able to find another one at short notice. Would not recommend.

Went for fish and chips and a steak pie. Really attentive staff. A young guy who was very pleasant and had great hospitality skills. The food was very well cooked , hot and good value. Will be back

Had the famous Sunday roast yesterday, and my god did it live up, even surpassing my expectations. Was a very speedy service, with all the staff pleasant enough to assist with any needs I had. When the roast arrived, my mouth started to water. But it did taste just as good as it looked. Every bite was was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. The lamb was ever so tender, accompanied with the classic Yorkshire. It's a plate for the ages executed well enough to hold that name. Glorious.

The staff at this pub were extremely helpful, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning after my visit, which I suspect was due to the “crispy calamari” appetizer we had. It was the only seafood dish we ordered, and it left a disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant experience.

This is a tourist review so keep that in mind. We stayed nearby, so this was our local pub. It was really everything we hoped for in our expectations of an English pub. The look was right, the crowd seemed very local. They did have a really good menu and the food did not disappoint. It was busy and lively. A good spot to relax after the day.

Great Sunday lunch and couple of pints. Off the beaten track. Spot on.
