Staff was the rudest I have experienced in London. Claimed it was too late to serve (10.44 pm) while serving others until 11 pm.

Fantastic little pub, always busy, always fun. The food is stunning: Thai food in the restaurant at the back. As it's popular, book a table for food, and be prepared for a wait at the bar, but it's definitely worth it

A wonderful place with a great atmosphere. The prices are a bit overpriced, but it is fully justified by the magnificent interior.

Love this pub. Authentic Thai food. They serve London Black too, as well as a good selection of ale.

Only came here because we saw that Roupell Street is a conservation area. Wonderful old 19th century homes. The Kings Arms is a good "local" pub with Thai food eating attached. We didn't try the food, unfortunately 😕.

I really love this pub!! Nicely tucked away in a beautiful street, so it’s not too busy, but still lively and have a good buzz. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was amazing! And they serve real ale here. For any real ale lovers out there

Now that The Cut is blocked to traffic this is a great place to sit outside and watch the role go by.

A traditional pub located away from the busy Waterloo high street. Perfect place for a quick pint and to catch up with friends.

I used to come here a fair bit when I lived in London, but probably haven’t been back in about five years. I like it for its Location, the cosy atmosphere, decent beer, and the Thai food available in the adjoining dining room. On this occasion the bar was packed out, Making it quite difficult to hear one another when talking, but the interesting beer more than made up for it (the Belgian White served with a slice of orange was slightly too drinkable…). Later, in the dining room, we had some excellent food, a vegetable stirfry for me, perfectly cooked, and incredibly tasty. The food virtually flies out the kitchen, it must have come within five minutes of ordering - true fast food, tasty and pretty healthy to boot! And, my Guide Dog was accepted without question, which is always a bonus.

Managed one drink but wanted to stay longer. I've been here several times before and found the staff very pleasant. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. Staff in the restaurant area were abrupt and rude so we decided not to eat there after having a table booking. The bar staff were rude. Not sure if this is their new USP? So if you want to be treated like you're not valued, this is the place for you. Such a shame as this used to be a great venue to go to on the way home. There are plenty of other places nearby that will welcome your business.

Easily one of the best pubs in the Waterloo local. The bar staff always go the extra mile to serve drinks in a quick and friendly manner! If you haven't been yet, go now!

A great corner pub that has maintained standards and atmosphere over the years I've "popped in". Range of beers good, to suit all palates, as well as the spiritual and grape based backups.

Fantastic back-street boozer near Waterloo on a really well preserved old street. The two bars in the pub are nice, each with it's own atmosphere. There's a great range of craft beers and ales, and the Thai food in the restaurant out the back (run as a separate business) is delicious.

Great experience and quick service. Careful if you sit next to the heater as it’ll be on full blast but otherwise great.

Oustanding Thai food. Massaman curry to die for and the crispiest fresh spring rolls. Ignore that you can’t book or that getting a drink at the tiny pub at the front takes a while. This is a real gem in the gorgeous terraced backstreets near Waterloo.

A bit of a shock to discover I hadn't already reviewed this place, as it's my favourite pub in London. The pub itself is old school and serves consistently excellent real ale. The real secret is the Thai restaurant in the back that efficiently serves delicious home cooked food.

A really nice cozy traditional pub just outside of Waterloo station. This is a nice place to grab a drink and socialise with friends.

The pub is great but the food in the attached restaurant is epic. Genuine Thai. Seating is around long tables. Interesting decor, film posters. Amazing selection of beers. Best to reserve a place.

Wonderful venue to meet friends and very friendly accommodating staff

I used to love this pub. It was my favourite local. The Thai food is excellent and this review in no way reflects the service of the restaurant at the rear. The pub itself is beautiful and cosy but the atmosphere is sadly ruined by the bar staff that seem to have been employed there recently. On more than one occasion I have had to put with rudeness, sarcasm and when I complained, smirking. Read the 1 star reviews and you will see that many have had similar experiences. A real shame to bring down a once local gem.

This used to be a great pub until they allowed a "12 year old" assistant manager to run the place on a Saturday night! What a shame...

One of my favourite pubs for over 20 years. Simple. Great beer and great atmosphere.

We just popped in for a quick drink, we didn't eat. The staff were great and know how to poor a Guinness.

Came here to visit the Thai restaurant in the back room and not the pub itself. The food was tasty and quick to come out of the kitchen.

Superb little boozer, get here early if you want a seat, no idea about food here, but the atmosphere and ambience was excellent on a Wednesday evening.

Lovely pub with traditional vibes, very close to Waterloo and Waterloo East. Good meeting up place, also has restaurant side but did not experience this.

Refused to ta ke cash. 5 of us one drink and had to leave. So out of touch

Worth the hype. We decided to try out their Sunday roast dinner and were not disappointed. The staff were very kind and the food was great.

El tipo del bar parecía muy molesto porque interrumpí su charla y solo dije “¿Sí?” en un tono como si fuera indignante pedir una cerveza que estoy pagando. Era exactamente lo mismo en el restaurante. Le pregunté al camarero si estábamos en el lugar correcto para comer y su respuesta fue una mirada fija y una mirada puntiaguda a su reloj. Luego el mismo molesto “¿Sí?” al tomar las órdenes y casi tirar los cubiertos y platos delante de nosotros. Qué pena ya que la comida era muy buena, pero no me tratarán así, así que nunca volveré.

Such a great alternative to staying in a hotel. Large rooms with continental breakfast included in a great central location for a very reasonable rate. We were chuffed!

I like to frequent this public house in the daytime at weekends when it is usually less busy. Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of real ales, well kept. A good clean pub that is well managed. Reasonable prices for this area of London.

We had a family get together on Saturday afternoon, it's a lovely traditional London Pub, friendly people, with friendly faces. The Thai Restaurant at the rear of the pub was very comfortable in both seating and atmosphere. We had a lovely meal (all freshly cooked) with a wide variety of choices. The bar staff were very pleasant and really helpful. We WILL definitely be returning, we had a really great time. Thanks to all your lovely Staff, especially the Barmaid from Walthamstow.

Just popped into this lovely local pub for a pint with friends. Great and friendly bar staff.. Didn't eat.

My first time here was a blast. However, I have been very disappointed today. We had booked a table for 6 and when we arrived we told us that the table was taken. We waited for some time and after a call with a manager they gave us a high table facing the wall. When we showed disappointment, we were told “if you don’t like it you can go” with a condescending tone. Then apparently call again the manager and never gave us an update. We left. No kindness or gesture of goodwill and most of all no apology all along for the mistake. And this goes without mentioning the price of a glass of wine…

Great Thai food and taste good. If the booking system can be improved and will be perfect. The system allow us to book a table at 12 noon but the restaurant part is only available at 1pm

We were looking for a true authentic English pub experience, and this place did not disappoint! The decor and vibe are amazing, very local and authentic. Food and service were spectacular. You could tell Nathan really cares - barbecue sauce tartar sauce. Etc.. Everything was homemade. Best fish and chips we have ever had Was awesome!

Proper pub, good atmosphere, fine selection of beers

Clearly the allure some decent beer is strong here as this small pub was packed to the point of discomfort and so noisy we couldn't hear each other. I'm sure some people love that experience but I think I'd rather visit at a less busy time.

Shame all old bartenders gone, standard has gone down hill, not professional at all u could be waiting to be served for 20mins at the bar wont bat an eyelid even if you do catch their eye. Want a quick pint dont bother coming here

Incredibly rude staff member and non apologetic even after we spoke to the manager. Snatching glasses and sarcasm towards customers is just rude.

A great traditional London pub. Excellent selection of beers and a good spirit selection. Very friendly Landlord and staff. Food provided by a superb Thai restaurant at the rear. You can eat it in the pub if you wish. Very close to Waterloo station. So good we travel up from Portsmouth just to go there.

Don’t take people’s money for expensive pints if you’re then gonna aggressively make them switch to plastic cups and pressure them out the door half an hour before closing. I get that you wanna go home, but it’s rude and people would choose to spend their money elsewhere if they knew your closing times don’t mean anything.

i’m very very satisfied! even if we came here at 2 pm (so maybe a little bit late for lunch) they served us some delicious plates. I think that the prices are right. as i said, the food was really good and the place is very beautiful.

Superb authentic Thai food and good vibes

An absolute treat of a pub, tucked away in a lovely spot a short hop and a skip from Waterloo station it's a real nice place. Plenty of variety of draughts (including an additional Irish stout to the usual Guinness) to keep everyone happy, there's very little to fault here. The pub has all the furnishings and features of an older pub, fitting in nicely to it's time capsule location, it's a real pleasure to be in. Gents' toilet is a little cramped for space but a very minor nit-pick. Will be heading back there for sure!

One of the best pubs in the land. No small rooms knocked into one antiseptic canteen and the restaurant is separate from the pub. No pub should have to turn itself into a restaurant as most pubs must in these stricken days. Needless to say, the ale at The King's Arms is excellent!

the owner was running at me with a rush to have my pint at 9:10pm while i was only myself having it outside and reminding me that it's forbidden after 9pm to have your beer outside and showing me the sign which was fair enough. it was fair enough until i saw around a herd of people enjoying their beers outside around 10:15pm with great loud and cheering. either have rules being applied at all or have nothing..
