What a great job Black Country Ales have done with the refurbishment and to have Tom and Eloise there is the icing on the cake. Great food, great staff and great beer. Keep doing what you’re doing 😀

This was a great find for lunch on the way to Ironbridge. The place is beautiful having just had a refurb. Really good selection of ales! Food was limited to cheese or ham cobs and pork pies, but our ham cob and salad was gorgeous! and the prices were really reasonable. I can't recommend this place enough 👌

Newly refurbished by Black Country Ales as a good standard local. Food is cobs and pies/ scotch eggs (not tried). Had a great pint of BFG. Not a destination pub but cozy (packed as just reopened) and a big garden and plenty of parking. I noticed an accessible toilet so that detail needs changing in their description. Black Country Ales are doing a good job and I wish them all the best in their endeavours in our area 👌🏻

Thursday 15 April 2021 , The White Hart has decided to remain closed until May when they can welcome customers back inside the pub. They are still continuing to do some home beer deliveries for customers who are self isolating.See the Facebook page for the latest beers and contact information. Excellent real ales with a well deserved listing in the Good Beer Guide 2020 and the past 17 years !. Adam keeps a wonderful selection of beers and has a number of guest beers that he gets in for the customers to enjoy.

Visit often (not in lockdown) for lunch with work, service is always friendly and great. Most reputable pub in Shifnal known for its great ales. Highly recommended and great value.

The White Hart is a fantastic traditional pub all round. It has a big group of regulars that make it even better. The Landlords are always round to make sure everything is OK, the personnel is carefully chosen and amongst them, Jack is very special. Fantastic choice of real ales and nice variety of other alcoholic drinks... great all fashion pub ... just what you want. Food only available for lunch Tuesday to Saturday, I think, homemade traditional small selection of dishes, just homely and nice.

Great ale, food, service and value. Adam and Jodie have created a safe and friendly environment in which one is almost back to normality. I had a couple of Butty Bachs and an excellent Ploughmans. Others with us (4 in total) had the Chilli Topper and a burger creation that was said to be inspiring.We are regulars and have supported the pub even when closed by ordering deliveries of keg ale and every delivery was excellent. You need to book a table (01952 461161) but it's worth ringing at short notice to check availability.

Went local today with a trip to our favourite pub and it didn't disappoint. There is always a good selection of well kept Ales. The burger I had was amazing and my wife really enjoyed her mixed bean chilli. Great attentive staff - Adam and jody really do a fantastic job and run a great local. Keep up the good work guys!

A pint of chocolate porter to start with; what an amazing beer. This was followed by a Chilli Cheese and Bacon Burger with Chips and Salad; and the burger was massive probably about 1" thick.Amazing food and amazing drink. Staff were really friendly and attentive, and the COVID procedures are very robust, logical and adhered to.It was good to feel normal for a while.

This was our first visit since before lockdown and the owners were just as efficient and pleasant as before. The food was very good and up to their normal standard, but the menu was very limited and the portions smaller. The landlord informed me that they had only started doing food again this week and that it was a trial to test out the new Covid restrictions, so hopefully back to normal very soon.

Very kind host. Doing all he can to promote covid safety. Extremely helpful with menu choices. Other staff very friendly. Pork pie gorgeous.

We eat at the White Hart regularly and missed it so much during lock-down. Only downside is I want to eatbwverything off the menu. Can not recommend highly enough!

Great beer, as usual. Food was also very good. Really good local ale House, which serves the best ale for miles.

Decided to get the vegetable chilli when we visited this restaurant back in February 2020. The meal was pretty good, the staff were very friendly and they also had a decent selection of beers.

We popped into The White Hart for a quick drink on a Sunday afternoon, it was a really nice pub and worth a visit if in Shifnal.

The pub was full of locals so we thought we made a mistake going but there was nothing to worry about. The staff were smiling , the beer was good and the roaring fire was roaring.

I have been using this pub on a regular basis for many years, surprised I've never reviewed it before. The young couple now running it have done a fantastic job keeping the standards of beer and food quality as high as when they took over (a few years back now). Their hand made Burgers are fantastic, especially with their Chili on top, it's so big I don't order chips with it! Always a good selection of Real Ale in tip top condition and a friendly bunch of locals to drink with. A constant place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide tells you the beer is well looked after.

The white hart has been famous for the quality and choice of beers for many years but this was our first visit for food. Hot food is only available from 12 to 2pm each day so it can be busy. I ordered the steak and ale pie and it didn’t disappoint, it was enormous and the accompanying gravy delicious. The beef burger with cheese was also good. The beer as always was excellent. A good old fashioned friendly pub selling wholesome tasty food and great beer what more could you want.

Come for the beer , come for the ancient architecture....

Great beer pub although they also have a great section of gins. They do amazing pub food at lunch and bar snacks such as pork pie and rolls at other times as well as crisps. The staff are very friendly. This isn't a super fancy craft ale trendy pub, but one that serves good beer and a warm welcome.

What a wonderful place to visit. I'm here from Atlanta USA visiting my sister. The food was outstanding, the ambiance great and their menu, awesome sauce. So glad to have popped in.

Atmospheric, lovely old black timbered pub, oozing charm and character. Very well kept beers, numerous CAMRA awards and good pub food. The only downside is that it is very popular, attracting an eclectic mix of people it is a pleasure to mix with. Highly recommended to the afficianidos of good beers and to those who like good company.

So this review is apparently invalid since I only stayed there for one drink? Since when does the owner of somewhere have to reply to everyone who isn't giving 4 or 5 stars? Notice you didn't call the reviews below mine invalid even though they mentioned they only stayed for one drink. I guess that's because they put 4 stars? Also since you seemed to have been following all my actions. No one 'greeted' me or said hello so I'm not sure what you're talking about there and I took my beer to the toilet because I've never been in the pub before and wasn't with anyone. Doubt I'll be back to be honest which is a shame as it only round the corner from my house. Also to clarify I was there for about half an hour not 10 minutes but I guess facts arn't important

Four of us had reserved a table here - just as well as it was very popular even on a wet Wednesday afternoon! We were very well looked after by hosts Adam and Jodie. We were waited at the table which was nice! Great range of beers such as Bathams, Enville Ale, Butty Bach etc, and the food great too. I had chicken stroganoff and my colleagues tried fish & chips, burgers and other items from the set menu. Followed by apple crumble and custard. Several blackboard items such as sirloin steak were also available. Nothing too fancy here, which suits us! Just good tasty food and drink! Booked to return in January - what's not to like here?

I’ve been meaning to visit Adam and Jodie’s pub since they opened and was in the area recently so had to pop in for a couple of pints and lunch with friends. Great choice of beers (and gins for the wife), excellent faggot and chips and a great welcome. A real pub with great beer and food Check it out. It’s worth it.

The White Hart is one of the best if not the best pub I have had the pleasure of using.The beers on sale are real ale and there are normally five or six available at any given time. The Hart is always well supported and most times lucky to get a seat. There are two rooms to enjoy, the Lounge and the Bar. First class quality food is served in both, at the rear is a Beer Garden. The landlords are top notch and extremely popular. The staff are friendly and helpful and always up for a laugh. The people who use the Hart are friendly and well met. There is a darts team and crib and dominoes are available. The toilets are kept clean with all amenities.

Recently moved to the area and arranged a birthday celebration for my better and “older” other half. It was amazing, Jodie goes above and beyond to make everyone feel special and this pub really is the best in the county. Can’t recommend this place enough. Great ale, great atmosphere, great food,great welcome. It’s a must visit!

Nipped in for a kwik pint.. Selection of real ale was great.. Chose the Shropshire Gold well kept beer and under £3 a pint!

Genuine pub serving a large selection of real ale from hand pumps and great food.Visited Monday 19 August. A warm greeting and friendly atmosphere.Adam & Jodie couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. They managed to sort out a vegan wine and offered a choice of vegan meals - "Russells" faggots were good too.Will definitely visit when next in the area. Only wish The White Hart was closer.

This is a serious pub for beer folk but not just beer folk. Lovely staff and food. Had some great chats and beer here even though I don’t pop in all that regularly. Friendly locals and very natural, front room type of vibe. Food decent as well. When you consider moving to a town for its pub you know it’s good.

Lunch and beer, good selection on menu and for drinks. Food was excellent and beer well kept, with really good service and friendly staff. What more could you want.

We called in this pub on a Monday lunch time and when inside, the atmosphere reminded me of an English pub in the 1960's. The food was well cooked and good value. The beers had a good selection, including local and popular types, all well kept. We both enjoyed the beer, food and atmosphere.

The title says it all, this is a proper traditional British pub, a great selection of real ales and a wonderful atmosphere.

I think by now everyone knows how good the beer is in this pub. Have you tried the food? I've had a few different meals in there now and all have been delicious. Good home cooked traditional dishes with daily specials for those that fancy something different.

We visited with friends and arrived shortly after 12pm. It was already busy which is always a good sign of popular pub.

The only true pub in the whole of the Midlands - and the beer and food is ace!

We visited the pub for lunch midweek and had to wait for a table, which I didn't mind as we hadn't booked.The pub is a freehouse and had a wide range of real ales and a very nice cider. The menu offered a wide choice and was all homemade. Both the food and the service were excellent and my wife and I will definately go again.

Visited here with my wife Glenys for lunch only after the venue we had chosen was shut for refurbishment. What struck was the friendly atmosphere and the friendly staff who obviously enjoyed working there. Although it was obviously a pub full of locals we were made to feel very welcome. Our lunch was served quickly-too quickly in fact as it was meant for someone else. Glenys kept hers which was the correct one and mine was returned as it was nothing like what I had ordered. It was replaced very quickly. Both our meals were piping hot and there was plenty on the plate. All round this was an honest friendly pub serving honest, value for money food.

Having previously visited the WH during a stay in Shifnal I had to check out whether I had just been lucky. Nope. Beer, grub, company and price - everything superb as I remembered it! The condition of all the beers I tried was spot on, and the selection of regular and guest ales made for a balanced beer board with something for every taste. Nice to see most of the clientele taking full advantage of this exceptionally well kept range; none of the fashion conscious drinker trending towards kegs and away from cask which, alas, is increasingly common in drinking holes around my area. Bravo WH.

Again we were at the White Hart after our weekly walk and enjoyed several excellent pints of Enville ale. Never had food but it all looked good and at sensible prices. Very popular pub. We Love going there.

Visited the White Hart on the 1/3/2019 for lunch with my wife and my hearing assistance dog, we received a extremely warm welcome from the two young ladies behind the bar, who were most helpful and very professional. The pub carries a great range of real Ales in tip top condition, plus ciders, Gins and good range of bar snacks. The lunch we had was excellent and very reasonably priced and served with a smile, my dog was given a treat by one of the bar staff which went down very well with him. The pub was spotlessly clean throughout, It has a very warm, cosy and cheerful atmosphere created by very Happy staff and Customers.The White Hart has all the ingredients of a true Traditional Pub and 5 STAR in every way. Credit must also be given to the owners who run this Pub in this Traditional way, My thanks to them and all the staff.

brilliant pub, that serves real ale and good quality food. lots of Gin to. Steeped in history this small pub has a great atmosphere, with brilliant young staff. Very accommodating. The food is very good quality with a solid menu, some of which changes every few weeks. Only local or fresh produce is used. Always in the good pub guide and wins many awards. Only a 2 hour 12-2 window for food and you need to book in advance. But it is worth it.

Very cosy traditional pub with ales and its own car park. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are very approachable and attentive. We came here for lunch and I had the meat roll which was so tasty! Cane here based off the recommendations and we weren't disappointed. I would recommend you book a table for food as there isn't much space inside.

Love this pub. It's small and cosy with a great atmosphere, quality beers, good food and tasty bar snacks. The real ales are regularly changed and there are some cracking beers I've tried here. Beer is well kept, always guaranteed a lovely pint. Food is only served at lunch times currently, but it's a great menu - lots of choice and lovely home made meals at reasonable prices. The landlord, landlady and bar staff are so warm and welcoming it really is a pleasure to visit The White Hart. Highly recommend!
