A nice little back street boozer with an amazing bowling green set out the back.Always been known as a good traditional pub that serves a great variety of beers, good atmosphere with a nice selection of rooms to chill out in.Car parking is very difficult as the Streets are very narrow but the Prince is very central to Belle Vue and Sutton lane.

Traditional pub food always excellent, but the special “dining events” worth keeping an eye out for ! Top class fare for the real ale fans, featuring and supporting local breweries. Need a lift to the match ? Coaches run to the home matches, making for a great afternoon out !

The most surprising pub in Shrewsbury, hidden away in a quiet residential one way street on the edge of Belle Vue. A real community pub, run by the same couple for 20 years. In a community of narrow streets the jewel in the crown is the large bowling green and large outdoor terrace to the rear. Wonderful to watch a bowls match on a sunny afternoon. A CAMRA pub, always a smile and a good pint.

Friendly, cosy pub, dog friendly and good seating out the back next to the bowling green when weather permits. They offer transport to STFC home games. Parking can be tricky so it may be easier to park at the cinema and walk up if no space. Would have been 5 stars, but a poor selection of draught lager, Coors & Carling. Get some San Miguel, Heineken or even Stella.

Visited this pub last weekend, beer superb, great atmosphere, and locals friendly. Management went over and above what would be expected even from a top pub.I wont go into details , but I am sure they will remember who we were, and we are very grateful for their help and hospitality. I wish STFC a good season, of course unless they are playing Southampton.

This is a good old fashioned pub complete with an excellent bowling green and beer garden. It's tucked away in a residential area,a good walk from the town centre. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with a good selection of real ales on hand. Last Sunday the pub was hosting a dog show and there were at least 20 dogs in attendance. It was a jolly event with disciplines such as the 'waggiest tail' etc.... I would highly recommend this pub.

Interesting pub set in narrow back streets of Belle Vue area of Shrewsbury. The large bowling green behind the pub looks inviting for watching games in the better weather. A bit disappointed in the beer and perhaps it should have been 'pulled through' to get a better quality of taste in the case of the mild. Beer advertised as £3 a pint but charged £3.07 for two halves!

Came here with friends for lunch and the food was fantastic. I had cream of mushroom soup which was delicious, full of mushrooms, not too creamy and full of flavour. Then I had the rabbit which was also very nice and perfectly cooked. Not cheap, but definitely delicious quality food and a lovely traditional atmosphere.

Its off a main road up a narrow cobbled street, easily missed. Only 3 ales on, again all pale, citrus or fruity albeit kept quite adequate.

Popped in on the off chance because our regular venu was closed. The place was deserted, with only two tables occupied, which is generally an ominous sign for me. However, the waiter was very genial and the meal was excellent. We did consider the sandwich menu a tad expensive so opted for the breakfast at two o’clock in the afternoon! We were not disappointed. My partner had the full ‘Carriages’ breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised to see I was able to make a selection from individually priced items, thereby creating a personalised breakfast. We were also offered a choice of how we would like our eggs prepared. I have had many breakfasts in my time but this was, without doubt, the very best. The presentation was faultless and it was cooked to perfection. The coffees we ordered were also excellent. On reflection we decided that perhaps the sandwiches might have turned out to be worth their price tag so will definitely be going back to find out! One final consideration was the toilets. So often I leave a venu, never to return, because of the poor condition of the toilets. However their toilets were pristine with complimentary hygiene products available. I am only surprised by how quiet it was. I appreciate that it is primarily an events venu but, if you haven’t done so already, then I recommend popping in for lunch.

Not a bad pub but needs to have a warmer atmosphere, especially at Christmas time, not much in Christmas decor and the saddest Christmas tree I've ever seen with one string of lights and about 5 decorations. There were plenty of drink options but not a very warm, friendly welcome, I get that it's busy, but... as it's Christmas, I've been kind with the stars.
