Lovely meal for two and they let us stay overnight in our camper an, definitely coming back!

Great food with a great selection of beers. Really nice atmosphere and good portions for the money. Very reasonable. Highly recommend the roast dinner on a Sunday. 5⭐️

On the road and needed to eat. Had great ham, egg, and chips, hubby had the burger - everything was delicious and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend 😊

Fabulous! The new owners have only been there two weeks, so we're only taking a limited number of bookings for Sunday lunch, so we were very lucky to get in and the meal was delicious. Turkey and beef on the menu. We had a bit of both with all the trimmings

We had a family Christmas gathering and we used the skittle alley. The landlady was so lovely. The pub is absolutely gorgeous and felt cosy and inviting. The hosts catered for us, providing a buffet and everyone had a wonderful evening. Thank you so much, we will be definitely visiting again throughout the year.

The food in this place is of the highest quality. Delicious tomato soup and gammon and eggs out of this world.

A typical country pub, nicely furnished and very clean. We had lunch which was very nice and reasonably priced. Good service and we would recommend this pub.

This is the first time I've been in the white Hart I would definitely recommend it the staff are very friendly & helpful ,the pub is very nice & family all welcome ,the food was lovely & nothing was too much bother ,great car park & garden will definitely be going back again .

So, I arrived here at a bit before 2 pm and was a little worried I might be too late for lunch. But fortunately I was in time! I quick perusal of the menu, revealed some tasty treats! And oh my, were there some nice things! Unfortunately, my first choice had sold out - no doubt testament to how good the Crab and Prawn Salad must have been. This turned out to be rather fortuitous however, because my eyes were drawn to the Mezze. This was a sheer delight of Prosciutto, with a couple of perfectly spiced and cooked lamb Kofte balls, some olives and feta cubes, rounded off with a tasty portion of home made Hummus, some lightly charred red pepper, artichoke, and sliced freshly grilled pitta bread. The price was extremely reasonable (read could have been a little more money and still good value). The lady behind the bar was friendly and cheerful, and the whole place had a really good vibe. Excellent - thank you!

A quintessential Dorset pub. Well kept beer and a limited but interesting menu. Staff are extremly friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

I've been to this pub many times and always so impressed. My child is on a restricted diet at present so we handed over a list of what he is not allowed and crossed our fingers. They could not have been more helpful. Not only were they kind and considerate of all this but the menu had a whole load of options. Several choices for a vegetarian child who can't have chocolate citrus or cheese! It was amazing and made the whole meal really relaxed. The food itself was incredible. Couldn't recommend more.

Nice atmosphere friendly welcome. Food was excellent and the landlady gave us a story about the origins of the dish I chose.

We visited at the end of November 2021 enroute from where we live on the coast of Dorset on a day trip to Sherborne. We discovered it by reviews and were not disappointed. We were given a warm welcome for both us and our dog and being a Sunday we had a lovely Roast dinner meal. We will definitely visit again - thank you.

Just had a wonderful Christmas meal at the White Hart Bishop's Caundle: Generous portions, excellent quality, homemade Christmas pud' (from a family recipe), all totally delicious...plus.. service with a smile!! Heartily reccomended.

Lovely food and good atmosphere

Visited while travelling in our motorhome. We can only reiterate what others have said. A warm friendly welcome for us and our dog along with a delicious meal of Salt and pepper squid, Venison sausages and Monkfish with butternut squash risotto. We will definitely return when in the area again.

Three of us had Sunday lunch at the White Hart today. Two had the mixed beef and pork roast. The other had a burger. Wow! What lovely meals. Wonderful meat, superb veg including some of the best roast potatoes ever. Our adult son said his burger was fantastic. Then followed three utterly superb desserts. Pecan and Apple crumble with custard, the cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious! The hosts were lovely and friendly making it in total a wonderfully enjoyable return to an old haunt we've not visited for severe years.

So pleased we found this pub early in our holiday. Visited 5 times and the food was amazing. Specials board changes regularly. Lovely hosts ade and Sarah. We left as friends. Sunday roast to die for.

Found this Gem on the second day of our holiday thankfully So can safely say after 4 visits with a group of 5 the food is amazing, not one bad meal was had The Sunday roast is up there with the best Sarah and Ade are wonderful hosts and colourful characters Couldn't recommend highly enough

I would highly recommend this pub , arrived with my disabled wife easy access to the beer garden, friendly landlord who made us very welcome , even took the trouble to give our new puppy a treat.

Visited for the first time this year now it’s under new management. Very friendly welcome, place lovely and clean and fresh smelling. Lovely Sunday lunch menu, with choice for those of us who don’t eat a roast. Changed things for the fussy eaters in the group, and had a high chair ready at the table for the baby. The whole meal was delicious and freshly cooked. Homemade desserts to follow for the sweet toothed and a lovely fresh cheese board for me. Family left and we stayed and sat on the comfy chairs for another couple of drinks. Will definitely be returning soon.

Went for a family meal the other day. The food was excellent with very generous portion sizes too. An excellent range of drinks. The managers were fantastic and very friendly. They were great with my daughter as well. Would thoroughly recommend visiting.

Food what we had was very good. Usual pub menu but the specials board was a mixture of world cooking. From Spanish cod to Malaysian cuisine. All well cooked, served and presented with a smiling face, albeit with a mask on. Reasonable priced. We all had a different meal and were all extremely happy. Well done.

Really recommend this local pub for the cosy environment, warm and friendly service and really exceptional food. Curry night is exceptional - properly cooked, authentic dishes and home made breads. Specials each day are home cooked and always delicious. Ade and Sarah are charming, helpful and very welcoming.

The White Hart Friday Curry Night is definitely a keeper. There were seven dishes from which to choose, and our party selected five, and shared them with each other. Absolutely delicious! The fish curry was a revelation,.. perfectly cooked chunks of salmon in a delicious sauce. We also had beef, lamb and two different chicken dishes, and there were two veggie options as well. Served with home made chapatis, a gorgeous vegetable accompaniment, rice and chutney. The flavours were wonderful: rich, varied and authentic. The pub has recently installed a coffee machine for those of us too full for the delicious brownie and ice-cream dessert! Other choices available... A real treat...thank you Sarah, Adrian, Rog and Rach. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
