Steph was charming, funny, and very accommodating, especially as we arrived with only minutes to spare to get food havjbf misjudged our times. This was our second night here, testament to a good menu, good friendly staff and a good meal. Recommend the mixed grill. Many thanks

We had a lovely meal at the wren, good quality food we was told was done by chef Debbie, which I dont think the chefs get enough credit sometimes. Service was outstanding up front with Beth who made us feel very welcome and was very friendly and bubbly. She went out of her way to make sure everything was okay and if we did need anything she was spot on! Highly recommend for family/friend meals

The food was lovely and the staff were attentive and the waitress serving us, Gemma, was happy to help with changing what was on the food, ordering more drinks and much more!

Service by Gemma was top class. Even on a busy match day nothing was too much trouble for her. Family of 4 really enjoyed the food and the whole atmosphere in the pub. We'll be back. Thanks everyone especially Gemma.

Great food, great service and great time had all around by our party of 25! We booked for my son’s 6th birthday and we are so glad we did - lovely, small park for the children to play on in eye sight of our table area and banners/a Spider-Man balloon on arrival for our son’s table to help celebrate - a nice extra touch. Jordan looked after us and did a grand job - he was incredibly attentive and helpful - he made the whole dining experience easy, quick and it was service with smile! Thank you Whistling Wren and & a big shout out to Jordan - you did a fab job of helping our tables!

Good and service were very good as always on our visits. This was probably our 6th visit recently. It is great that you can take your dogs.

Well run pub, we stayed outside as the rugby was on so can't really comment on anything else. I would return for sure

We love Whistling Wren, we had our Christmas dinner there and we go often for a Sunday roast or for lunch during the week. Sometimes the roasts are incredible and sometimes they are good. (Maybe a different chef sometimes?). It’s always enjoyable and the atmosphere is always nice. Steph served us today and she was fab.

Easy to get too. Easy parking, quickly seen to and sat down on arrival. I was a little annoyed over the starter as I paid £5.99 for 2 pieces of little chicken and 5 popcorn chicken which is a little pricey for what was served to me however the food was good. I then ordered a steak with scampi on the side, the steak is chargrilled cooked however the taste of charcoal takes over the taste of the steak a little to much overpowering but it didn't stop me from eating it. Steph is a great waitress, interacted with our children and made sure we was happy at all times. My daughter then went to play on the outside park provided and was very happy. We will be coming back again soon.

It was a real pleasure to be served by Steph. She certainly knows how to look after her customers. We will return for sure

Hubby and I had tea out on Friday. Their was a bit of a wait on food, but worth it as the food was delicious. Lovely staff especially Gemma who was friendly and polite.

Went for a meal with a friend. Food was great. Couldn’t eat all the fish I ordered as it was so big. Steph, who served us, was very friendly and as attentive as she could be as the pub was really busy. Will definitely go again.

No complaint, everything was spot on. Our waiter Gemma was really lovely & friendly, little boy was in a bit of a strop & she came over and tried her best to make him laugh & smile, lovely lady.

We were served by Amy today and she couldn't have been more helpful and we were greeted with a friendly approach too. I enquired regarding me needing to have a child portion due to menhaving had a gastroectomy and it wasn't an issue at all. The food we had was delicious, I had the children's roast turkey and it was by far the best I've had in a long time. Suffice to say it was better than any carvery establishment I've been to. My husband had the steak and he said it was lovely too. 100% satisfied customers today, We can't wait to visit again very soon. Your staff need to be recognised for their outstanding customer service, and it would be appreciated if they were made aware of positive reviews that are left, rather than base the feedback on negativity some employers seem to base things on. Very busy & bustling pub, and great value. The service is good, the atmosphere too. We have been well looked after by Steph on many occasions.

Had a wonderful visit this evening. The staff are amazing. From the lovely welcome of hosts Ellie and Josh to the bar staff Megan and Abbie. And a special thanks to our server Amy who took great care looking after us making sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Eleven of us booked a meal for my birthday and the food was lovely. We were really well looked after by Jordan and the other staff are friendly and helpful.

Jordan was out servers and was absolutely lovely. Very helpful and kindly supported us with a suprise birthday cake for my husband. Very attentive and made sure everything was okay.

Meal for four - two adults, two teens. Food came quickly, was piping hot and really good. Jordan made sure we had everything we needed.

This is our 5th time at the Whistling Wren and the service from Jordan and food have been very good. We have had a 30% discount of our main meal each time which is brilliant and excellent value for what we are having.

We couldn't contact using the QR code on feedback for service hence this note. Jordan served and looked after four of us for the evening in a full and noisy pub, finding and setting up a quiet table just after Leigh Leopards fans left for the match, he's polite, recommended items, brought drinks to the table and cleared used glasses away. He is efficient and knowledgeable. We all felt he's an asset not only to the pub but, more importantly, to the company.

Popped in whilst visiting relatives. Right next to our hotel. Really friendly staff from the minute we walked through the door. Showed us to a table and took our drinks order straight away. Really good selection on the menu. Food arrived piping hot in no time, despite the place being really busy. Special thanks to Steph who ensured we were well looked after and she was so friendly as well. Would highly recommend.

We arrived late as there had been an accident so local traffic was bad but they had kept our reservation for us & didn’t rush us when we arrived. . The pub was really busy with the nice weather and rugby but the staff coped really well. Food was lovely. Staff coped really well especially our server Jordan.

What a great pub restaurant this is. This was our groups first visit here and our waitress Abbie was absolutely brilliant, on top of her job. I will certainly be coming back here.
