Village Adnams pub with relaxing garden

Great village pub, the pub on the lock is nice, but often very busy, this is a great local alternative option. Nice staff and a lovely building. Good range of beer, and food looked nice.

A lovely pub with really nice staff who fitted us in for lunch on a busy sunday and it was lovely! And they were so helpful pointing us the right direction for our walk back to beccles

A very lovely pub with friendly service. I took my three, slightly wet dogs inside, had a full meal and several drinks! Absolutely lovely. Easy parking too.

We recently visited three rivers campsite and was looking for a local pub for a meal and a pint and we stumbled across this little gem. We had breakfast on the first day which was fresh with lovely produce and reasonably priced. Along with this the owners and staff were infectious. We returned each day for meals and a few beers and were basically kept fed and watered on our camping trip. We was late back on evening and the staff kept the kitchen open for us so we could have a warm meal. We had a lovely holiday made so much better by the atmosphere and hospitality of the folks in this village pub. Many thanks you’re amazing love the three late kayakers 👍👍

We always come here when camping locally. Great food and great atmosphere. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Thoroughly recommend coming here

Lovely little pub with a fantastic beer garden. Peaceful location, but easy to get to. 45-second walk to the river. We were attending a function there, so not sure if it was the pub's own food, or a local caterer, but the food was fantastic. All freshly prepared and fantastic quality. The staff were really helpful and friendly. According to the signs, they open in the mornings to offer breakfast. Lots of little rooms and a hidden courtyard give the pub some character. Also a fairly large bar serving Adnams and Lacons.

We met for a birthday surprise. The landlady was so welcoming and accommodating. We went back for a light lunch the following day. The ciabbata sandwiches, ham egg and chips and fish and chips were great value, well presented and made with good quality ingredients - all very tasty. Again, we were made to feel so welcome by the landlady and landlord. The pub is a picturesque country pub with a lovely atmosphere.

We arrived on a Monday lunchtime without pre booking. We were made very welcome by the lady behind the bar. The menu was excellent and cooked beautifully. Very good value and would thoroughly recommend.

This was a lovely place to visit on a Sunday lunchtime for a very good English Roast. We all had beef with the trimmings and shared a cauliflower cheese, it resulted in 3 empty plates and 3 happy people. Staff were very friendly and it was a nice pub atmosphere.

Visited The Wherry whilst staying at the nearby campsite. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday night, but we still enjoyed the visit. The food was good pub grub, reasonably priced and generous portions. Definitely worth a visit 👍

What a lovely pub, when for Sunday lunch and was one of the best I have had for a long time. The staff were friendly and the food excellent. The landlord and lady should be very proud of their place, I know how hard it is to run a pub.

The worst pub experience of my 57 years! Visited with my wife while on holiday. Average meal at best, not even that. But my wife felt she was getting death stares and muttered about by the local old boys sitting at the bar who seemed to be offended at having their boozer invaded by food customers. Not a nice atmosphere for us.

Pleasant village pub with a good menu nice staff and a good range of beers. Well priced by today's standards. Nice outside area very quiet due to the pubs location with no cars and lorries thundering past. Dog friendly inside and out.

We struggled to find a local restaurant that was open for lunch on a Monday and could accomodate a party of 7 at short notice, but struck gold when we found the website for the Wherry Inn. The food they serve is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had such a great experience that we made another visit later in the week. Highly recommended!

Visited here this evening whilst staying nearby and as a coeliac it can sometimes be awkward to eat out but the gluten menu here had so many options and my meal was absolutely lovely! Would definitely visit again and recommend.

This was a return visit to "The Wherry" unfortunately the menu seemed depleted compared to our previous visits. The owners were really very welcoming and made our visit pleasurable, How ever the menu was not as it had been, not that I wanted the "same old" menu again, but the current one came across as fish or burgers, none of us are really burger eaters as a rule and one of our party can not eat fish. When we go our for a meal we are really looking foe something either that we would not have at home or at least as good as home cooking. One had fish the rest had burgers, which were all very nicely cooked, well presented and hot, as burgers go, they were absolutely fine Deserts were the usual pub deserts, cheesecake, brownies, unfortunately nothing to get excited about, but absolutely fine if that is what you like. personally I would have liked more variation on the menu. Overall, I would return here and possibly recommend it to others, but with a" expect burgers."

Frequent visitors when camping nearby always found the Wherry to be very welcoming and super dog friendly. The food well presented and hot also still reasonably priced. It’s a good old village boozer where the locals and guests mix in harmony

We booked The Wherry Inn for Sunday lunch . What a great little place out of the way but still busy. We actually arrived early and were welcomed very well . The service was really good the food was hot and very tasty. The beer was also good . I would recommend this place to anyone in the area

There were 10 of us for a celebration lunch (booked). The staff were wonderful, coping with all our requirements so easily. The food was delicious, the ambience excellent. We all enjoyed it and will be back soon!!

Turned up out of blue hoping to get lunch at 2.10pm. Yes they can serve us. Not been here before so was unsure of the portion sizes, so ordered a bowl of cheesy chips just in case. I needn't have bothered because the baguette and jacket spud were quite filling. Lovely pub, inside and out, will definitely be back. If you're in the area, definitely worth a try.

We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime while walking in this beautiful area. We got a friendly welcome and our drinks were served quickly. Unfortunately we didn’t want any food at that point but the menu looked cracking so we’ll return when back in Suffolk to sample their food too.

What a little find! Staying in Southwold, and saw this on Tripadvisor, so booked and had a ride out for our Sunday lunch today. A beautiful pub inside and out. Looks really well looked after. A lovely 'vibe' when we walked in. Very friendly.....and got very busy as the time went on. Always a good sign. We both had the roast beef and it was beautifully cooked, and plenty of it. Then a pudding. Which , as my husband said, was 'too good'. All in all, we had a lovely visit and will make a point of booking here when we next stay this way.

Adams pub in Geldeston, attractive old pub serving typical pub food. Staff friendly and welcoming . Visited on a Wednesday dinner time so not much atmosphere but even so, worth a visit.

A lovely pub, recommended by family, staff were very friendly, food really is excellent. I had fish pie from the specials board(my favourite) and my partner had the stuffed chicken breast. Service was good, food hot. We will definitely be back
