Amazing We were driving to Truro looking for a dog friendly pub serving food We passed this small thatched roof pub/Restraint and turned around and we were glad we did The food ,welcome and service were excellent A little more expensive for a Monday lunch menu but worth every penny We will be back Thank You

Really impressed with this little restaurant. We booked very last minute on our way home from work. We arrived with our 2 dogs and were met with a warm welcome by our waitress. The pub is beautiful in a picturesque location. We have recently moved to the area from the Midlands and had only ever driven past the restaurant so had no idea what to expect. It was such a lovely surprise! The menu was a little more expensive (£28 max for main course) than we would normally chose for a mid week dinner. However after receiving our food it was made clear why. It is so clear that the staff are so proud of the food that they serve. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent. The Sea bass was absolutely delicious - by far the best I’ve had since moving to Cornwall. Our waitress couldn’t do enough for us even bringing treats and fresh water for our dogs. We had no intention of eating dessert (£8-£9 each) but the main course was so good that we ended up ordering the snickers mess and banoffee pie - they were wonderful! So in summary, I would highly recommend for a real special treat. It’s worth every penny - in fact we loved it so much we are already booked to return next week with family! Hats off to the talented staff!

Fantastic food at a high level. We both had the lobster which was 1st class. It was a lovely summers evening in the garden, we came up by boat! On a high tide !

If you're passing the Wheel and wondered what it's like, give it a try. Not that many dishes on the Menu and is a bit pricier than many, but everything is excellent. Probably the tastiest beefburger I've ever had with superb service and good beer. Looked nice inside but we took advantage of the riverside garden in the sun.
