Well just been in this evening very friendly great food clean & fully recommend & we’ve all had couple 5 mates all 50+ & Godalming residents for years,can’t fault anything. And not being in a Indian restaurant in years it was a pleasure GOING BACK STU PARROTT

We arrived late on the Friday evening to find the restaurant full. A waiter took our phone number and said a table should be free in the twenty minutes. Sure enough, twenty minutes later we received a call saying a table was available. We ordered papadums and pickles to start and I must say, they were the most generous portions of pickles I have ever had. I had the chicken Madras as my main and my mate had a house special. Both meals were excellent and I would particularly like to mention the quality of the chicken which was superb.

Without a doubt the best Curry in Surrey! Having lived in a few places locally and sampled a very decent number of Indian takeaways I can safely say this really is the best. Meat is always tasty and never dry. Sauces are spot on with just the right balance of flavours. Some of the sides could probably stand on their own - we love the aubergine. The staff in the restaurant are friendly, food is cooked fast and they deliver promptly. I look forward to my next!

I've been to wharf several times both in person and delivery, food is always delicious and delivery time has always been in the stated time frame. My favourite restaurant in the area. My most recent orders were the lamb rogan josh (after reading another review on here), and my two usual go tos of chicken tikka massala and a chicken chat

The gentleman that run this establishment will be very familiar to regular Godalming diners. They are proof that excellent food is a draw wherever you happen to serve it. Beer is a bit pricey but iy tends to be in all local eateries. Took the chef's recommendation and was not disappointed. Highly recommended

I ordered a meal for 3 people at 17:37 through their website. Waited an hour, called up and was told that my order was out for delivery (I live a 9 minute drive from the wharf). I waited until 18:55 and phoned up again and was told by someone else that my order was 7-8 minutes away, so I asked if I could get some money back or money off a future order and I was rudely told “no, your order is 7-8 minutes away”. My order finally arrived at 19:06 piping hot, so unless they have ovens in their delivery cars, I was lied to on the first phone call about my food being out for delivery. I guess this is a long winded way of saying their customer service is very poor and don’t use their website to order because I’m not sure they look at the orders that go through it?! Food was great though, despite one curry being all over the inside or the bag and all it’s contents.

We love The Wharf and come back as often as we can. Great for a takeaway too.

What has happened here? Change of Manager? First of all food amazing but that is where it ends. No Tablecloths, Paper Napkins, told to use same cutlery for starters as well as Main Course. Cobra Lager was definitely not Cobra Lager (tested more like weak Skol) and service from waiters was just very poor. Ruined what we hoped would have been a great experience. Terrible!

Always delicious food, great presentation, good value, excellent staff. The Wharf has no competition in this area! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Food swimming in grease not good.

Very upset - dishonest staff, delivery time of several hours and room temperature food upon arrival: we were told, after waiting an hour that our food was being packed and sent off, this was clearly untrue as we received it 2 hours after ordering and it had clearly been left out for a significant chunk of time because the food wasn’t hot, but room temp. To avoid this, make sure you phone in and self-collect :) I wish the staff would have been honest and said it wasn’t made yet, this way we would have come down to collect and had a shorter wait time

Such good food here - I ate far too much. As a disabled person (walks with a walking stick) I found it slightly difficult getting to the toilet at the back, but it was a great evening with friends. I'll be coming back!

Frantic and noisy added to the authentic flavours and atmosphere of this successful Indian eatery - fast service with polite and friendly staff. Loved it!

Wow, so fresh and flavoursome. First time we have tried the Wharf, but the best curry we have had. Delicious! Will definitely be ordering again.

Just had a wonderful takeaway from The Wharf. Tried one of the new additions to the menu - the Desi Keema Bhuna - and it was absolutely delicious. My Husband's Lamb Balti was also excellent, as were all the accompaniments. A special mention for the garlic naan! Would highly recommend and will be ordering again very soon

I had a phaal recently at this restaurant, it was so good I returned for another. Yes, they were incredibly hot, but at the same time superbly delicious. However, do not attempt a phaal if you have a weak constitution.

VEGAN EXPRESS MEAL FOR 1. Delicious 10/10 flavour and filling. So much food I saved some for tomorrow's supper.

First time in this small but cosy restaurant. Very polite staff, attentive and welcoming. Ordered a chicken tikka biryani and chicken dhansak. Naan onion bhaji and gobi. Very nice indeed. Will definitely now make this our preferred choice of sit down. Will try the takeaway options and report back.

Friendly staff, attention to the customer, excellent food, cold beer and reasonable prices. Everything was great! When we arrived, it wasn't very busy, so the chef took the time to choose a curry for us. It was amazing! Highly recommend. My 5/5 review is for a small town Indian restaurant - it is exactly what it should be. It is not a high-end or fancy restaurant, do not expect anything else than delicious indian food. And don't give poor review, just because it is not fancy, ok?

We went to the Wharf last night for the first time and were really impressed. Exactly what you want from.a curry house: great food, great service and reasonably priced. The mixed grill was fantastic!

What a lovely surprise. When I was told I was being taken to the wharf I thought it was a pub on wharf street that did curry nights. I was wrong, this is a curry place opposite the old post office. Not to put down the other very reasonable curry houses in the Godalming, I have to say that the wharf is in a different class. We ordered 5 different curries and I tasted them all. All were of an exceptional quality in flavours, quality of meat and presentation. This was fine dining that I have only experienced in high end London establishments. I rarely give 5 stars, but I have no hesitation in this case. If you like a curry after a few beers then Godalming has plenty of alternatives, but if you want to enjoy high quality nuance of flavours and service please try the Wharf.

Amazing experience. The chef is a partner and is really great. You must speak to chef and tell him what you want. The other partner attended us and was really helpful!

This was one of the best curries we had and we can’t wait to come back now you can dine in! We always get our takeaway from The Wharf and it’s the best around but dining in was even better. The chef was super accommodating with my food intolerances and gave me some great recommendations for the next visit. All round food and service I have to give a 10/10. If you are in town I recommend you give The Wharf a try :)

Shocking! Have had delivery for last 2 years, took 2 hours for delivery and then was cold and order was not right!

I really cannot praise the lads enough!!!! The food is always amazing. Best I have ever had! The curry’s are cooked perfectly and not all oily like you sometimes get from takeaways. If I could afford to I would eat there food every day! Staff are also brilliant. Always friendly and they remember who you are. If your going to have an Indian please do not go anywhere else. I think I am on about number 5 from there and only moved to the area 5 weeks ago. Will continue to have one a week minimum! To good not to!

Great food, amazing value and lovely people

It's ok if a bit inconsistent. Curries still very much flavoured to a (slightly bland) English palate and are prone to being too oily. Bhajis always a bit of a disappointment with too much flour. Catch them on a good day and it's a solid enough curry. Haven't found anything better in Godalming or Haslemere yet though.

In short, absolutely amazing. The wait was slightly longer that I would have expected but it was 100% worth it; great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Best Indian food in Surrey! The new premises are nicely decorated -- not as big as the last place but that gives the new place more buzz to it I think. Went for the Sunday buffet -- a real bargain at 10.95 for adults. Food was absolutely fresh and delicious and the guys who work here give such friendly service. Godalming is lucky to have this place! Note that if you go for a Fri or Sat night they recommend booking ahead.

Meal was ok but were asked to leave when we asked for some post curry coffees. Table was obviously booked after us however we only had a main so they weren't allocating enough time to each sitting nor did they advise us at booking that they needed the table back at a certain time. Went across the road to the red instead and next table didn't turn up for 40 minutes at least. Poor service unfortunately.

Just went for the £12.95 five course Wednesday Banquet deal. You could chose practically anything from the proper menu. It was fairly quick given the restaurant was full and freshly prepared. Nice atmosphere as well.

Tried for the first time as I always here people recommend but was very disappointed was cold not very tasty really boring will go back to my usual place lesson learnt stay with what you know.

Friendly staff, always great food and a good selection of beer. When ordering a takeaway, delivery can sometimes be a tad slow but I put this down to their popularity and it’s always worth the wait. A very easy 5 stars 🙂

New premises and same great quality on offer. Great local curry house, best in Godalming! the food is always tasty and each dish has its own unique style and flavour. Reasonably priced and good drink selection. To top it all off the staff are always incredibly nice and helpful!

Every meal we have had from The Wharf has been excellent - eating in or takeaway. Miles ahead of any other Indian food I’ve had in the past.

Service incredibly slow. Undercooked/under seasoned food. Dry chicken. Over priced beer. Tried to overcharged by 15£. Outdated furnishing. Freezing cold. We were recommended this place and I can say I will avoid at all costs.

I will simply not recommend it..I ordered food from them and in a box of lamb curry there was a pen. I called the restaurant but the person took the phone did not understand English and I had to repeat it four times. Someone else spoke instead of apologize he was shouting at me...the worse experience from this restaurant and I think teaching manners of their staff should be in their next agenda list..

With the Raj being closed we decided to try the Wharf. I can honestly say it's the best takeaway in Godalming! The food was hot, very tasty and full of flavour. Even the delivery man who thanked me for buying from the wharf and hoped I enjoyed my meal. A throughly enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't yet eaten from this establishment.

Very bland curry. Sauces for Kashmir and Malayan were the same. The pineapple was hard and the banana didn't taste like banana (not quite sure how you do that). Don't recommend it

Awful curry, forgot the garlic nan and served slop, staff did not care and seemed to think it was funny. Well I hope they think this review is funny because that was a disgusting curry. I feel that Just Eat is more important than their sit in customers.
