Lovely food, olly was brilliant, enthusiastic and made us feel welcome.

Olly was really friendly and got our order right , 10/10 will probable coming back

We have eaten here on several occasions as a large family party of 8-10. This time we noticed the decline in the quality of the Sunday roast , the fish and chips however were fantastic

Unfortunately didn’t have time to stop for dinner, however sat outside for an after work drink and I was offered a blanket and table service, Craig especially stood out to me as it was later on in the evening he was still full of beans and looked after us right up on till the point we left. Never been here before yet his service alone is enough for us to come back, Ollie was just so accommodating and helped us pick out our drinks without any hesitation and made us feel very welcome, definitely an attribute to the venue. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for having us. Amazing staff!!

Hadn’t booked but thought I’d try my luck, managed to get a table for four and ordered roasts which were lovely, with bottomless Yorkshires and gravey. Service was great, well def be back

Great service, lovely food, good value. Tricky to park though - but there was a matinee at the theatre, so that might have been the issue.

Alex was a brilliant quiz master, will definitely be coming back next week. Had a lovely time :)

Booked to go for my 22nd birthday meal with friends. Had amazing service and food. Was reasonably priced and all had a lovely meal. We then went to the outside, heated undercover area to continue to have drinks and chill. There were blankets provided and board games that we could choose from. Overall a amazing experience.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The service by Robert was faultless.

UPDATE 18/10/24 Re-visited with a good friend. There are currently renovations going on, but don't let that put you off. They have cozy cabins with a warm fire, blankets, soft cushions etc. The cabins overlook the river, it's lovely. Very helpful (helped me get their App for easy ordering). All staff really friendly, Amy was delightful. I had noted the names of the two guys on a napkin but unfortunately I lost that... You know who you are though! The food was tasty and well presented, reasonably priced, hot and served with a smile 😊. NOTE They have a re-opening day on Wednesday 23rd October 24 with a live band. Highly recommend. As Arnie says.. "I'll be back" 👍 My elderly parents and I were recommended to go here after visiting The Royal Surrey Hospital. Our waitress was Pranita who is absolutely lovely. She was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, (caring towards my parents). Pranita is a credit to The Weyside and clearly enjoys her job. The other staff we saw were also very pleasant. The food was delicious, we all had the battered haddock, the batter was crisp and the fish was so fresh, loved the chips and the added condiments a nice addition. The puddings were scrumptious too, sticky toffee pudding and the meringue with the fruit and blood orange syrup... Oh my! All in all a great place, we sat outside to start with which was a really nice atmosphere and then moved inside when it got a bit chilly. Fabulous place, I highly recommend.

Staff were doing their best with kitchen closure , but despite being not very busy service was slow , steaks were cold and lots of things already off the limited menu However staff made us comfortable in the boathouse and it was lovely to be by the water

Nice pub, but was dead in there when we came in. Food was good and the waiter we had was lovely but shame there was no vibe in there at all.

Went to a party, it was busy and great area for organizing with a heater and cover -stretch canopy. Bar staff friendly. We did not eat any thing

We had a great time at The Weyside. The pub is currently in the process of being refurbished (looking great by the way) and both the food and the service were excellent. Special thanks to Rohan who made us feel very welcome and did a great job. Would definitely recommend going to this pub - which also has great views and tables overlooking the river. A definite repeater.

My family and I have enjoyed meals at the Weyside a few times. Unfortunately, this Sunday the service was not up to par. We were at dinner with some elderly members of my family but were told we had to order on the app/through phones. We requested if it was possible to have table service as some of the other tables had, however because of where we were sat this was “not an option” despite several members of staff standing around. When we were eventually given menus and told we could order at the bar, and were given filthy food encrusted cutlery. When ordering, I repeated the order several times as we were a large table, and yet when our food arrived the order was wrong and we were brought the wrong dishes. Overall, the service and time spent at the Weyside was underwhelming. Unfortunate, as we’ve previously had great experiences at the Weyside

Only went in for a drink so can't comment on food but lovely pub in a gorgeous setting by the river.

The Weyside is a nice pub; the pictures on its website are less attractive than the view from its large terrace. it has a large pay and display car park next to it. The decor , ambiance and seating are good and the food was nice and good value. It is a Youngs pub and the drinks offer is very good.

Warmish day, though clouded over, busy outside next to the river, staff very polite, cleared tables, and provided code for ordering at table, good service, food was good, happily visit again

One of the best places to meet in Guildford with a beautiful terrace overlooking the river

I suffered terribly with an allergic (gastrointestinal) reaction to the food which I was led to believe was glutenfree. I was off work for a week and the ongoing symptoms will continue for a few weeks to a lesser extent. I have no complaints about the staff or ambience but I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that I consumed gluten containing food which was advertised as glutenfree. I would not recommend the place if anyone has an allergy and I will not be returning there for any meals again.

Booked for lunch, four people. Decided on the sandwich menu and, unfortunately, one of the dishes was not as expected. Our server, Ryan, swiftly offered a no quibble alternative which was accepted and promptly delivered. Apologies were offered by the chef and Ryan, both of whom went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely lunch. A rare pleasure to have such great service. Well done Ryan, the staff and Youngs!

Beautiful pub by the water with excellent food and service from our waiter Ryan and his associates :) definitely towards the expensive side but not horrendous considering it Guildford and the quality. Great walking routes nearby

We had our wedding reception at the Weyside, had booked outside but it was raining. Without asking, the staff had already sorted out an inside section for us, which was better than imagined. They went above and beyond, so would highly recommend!!

We had a lovely lunch at The Weyside on Saturday. Our server was Connor who was a delight. As someone who works in the service industry and knows how important that interaction is with the customer, I applaud Connor. He was attentive right from the start. We were walk-ins and he couldn’t have been more amenable considering we were a large-ish group. Nothing was too much trouble and you just made us feel very at ease and looked after. Thank you for your wonderful service, you are an asset to The Weyside.

This should have been a great experience as just arrived in UK and meeting friends, but sadly was not. Lunch menu - no sandwiches left. Staff asked us for a table number and there was none. Very condescending about this, in fact they were rude. Requested an ashtray - none arrived. Salt and pepper on the table, salt grinder empty. Requested a new one - it did not arrive, had to go and find our own. Watched staff put reserved signs on tables but did not clear the empty glasses, so expecting them to clear ours was maybe too big an expectation. A lovely spot to sit but sadly this was the best part of our experience. 😕 very disappointing

We came to this pub very last minute as we’re only in Guildford for a gig. However, we will be back!! The food, vibes and most of all service we experienced was top level. Especially our waiter Ryan, who kept the good vibes going. Can’t wait to pay another visit to the weyside.

We were a table of 5 booked in for Sunday lunch. 2 of our party order the roast beef and 3 order the roast pork of which one was gluten free, which was made clear when I booked online and with the waiter. The beef was inedible. Couldnt even cut the beef let alone eat it and both orders of beef were sent back. The pork arrived and was very fatty and the gluten free order of pork arrived with a massive yorkshire pudding on top of the all the food - immediately sent back ! We then had to wait for 3 new meals to arrive !!! When the new dishes arrived, the potatoes were hard and the gluten free dish was missing the apple sauce and only 1 potato - dreadful ! The only bonus was the waiter was extremely apologetic and good at his job. Also the pub now looks shabby and tired inside. The bench seat 3 of us sat on was ripped and slashed and looked awful. This is a shame as we have eaten at this pub quite a few times but the standard has dropped both in interior and the food.

A spot overlooking the river..we had a lovely roast (slowed roast pork was beautiful) here over the bank holiday. Fabulous service from start to finish, shout out to Ryan!

Had a lovely roast dinner here with my wife, food was amazing and you can have as many roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings as you like, can’t argue with that! And Ryan who served us was brilliant! Will definitely be coming back!

The Weyside is the perfect spot for a sunny day. Their riverside terrace is beautiful and relaxing. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the summer vibes.

Had Sunday lunch with my wife today managed to get a seat outside without booking. We both had roast beef and it was amazing so much meat and as many roast potatos we could eat. Our waiter was Ryan who could not have looked after us any better he was very attentive.

Was nice, chilled and relaxed. They could improve on vegan options. Vegan Brownie was yummy

Staff slow apart from the South African guy. Bar was more or less serving a drink every half hour until he got there. Food at neighbouring table looked and smelt horrific (some kind of deep fried veggies) Would return as view is nice Drink prices are a pisstake

We ate dinner here a few weeks ago. Have been quite a few ties in the past and it was much busier than we had seen previously. The food was pritty good. There was a problem but Ryan the waiter was brilliant about sorting this out and ensuring we were happy customers.

Lovely lunch catching up with friends whilst sitting long the river. Great atmosphere (especially on the deck), our waiter Ryan was very friendly and helpful. We have been before and would most definitely go again. Sitting outside for me is the key though 😊

Staff were incredibly rude and miserable. Constantly made us change tables. Ignored us when trying to order drinks. When we arrived we said we had a reservation and the reply was ‘ok what do you want me to do about it.’ Staff need to remember they work at a pub where people will be drinking alcohol and not have an attitude about it.

Went to weyside for some food a glass of wine and a cocktail yesterday and it was one of the loveliest pubs I’ve ever been to. Staff were so friendly and a good laugh, food and drinks were beautiful the atmosphere is amazing, definitely recommend sitting outside by the river, you can see plenty of boats, ducks and swans wander by on the water while you eat and enjoy your drinks. It can be considered pricey but with food like that and the place itself it’s definitely worth it! Cant wait to go back if I ever end up in Guildford again
