Brilliant, yet again. Returning customer and it has again been as good as the last time. Management, staff, atmosphere, beer, food. 100%. Well done the Westbourne 👏👏👏

First time coming, was an amazing experience from start to end. Waiter (simone) was so so lovely couldn’t fault her at all, will definitely be coming back Food was absolutely amazing!! portions are very generous, i’m 6 months pregnant and struggle to find places that fill me up, glad to say im very full!

The Westbourne is in a great location and always really welcoming and great value for money. The menu has lots of choice and the staff are friendly and attentive. Kelsey is always really bubbly and makes sure we have a great experience whenever we visit. Would recommend!

Soy trabajadora de apoyo para personas con discapacidades y traje a una señora que cuido en silla de ruedas para su almuerzo. El personal fue amable abriendo la puerta y me ayudó a encontrar una mesa adecuada. La señora que cuido tiene un pequeño apetito y le pregunté si podía tener algo del menú del niño. Esto estaba bien y ella tenía pescado con patatas fritas era excelente y parecía tan sabroso y era una porción generosa para la comida de un niño. Tuve un chocolate caliente y un brownie, estos también eran muy buenos y un gran precio. La factura era tan buena relación calidad-precio que sin duda volveremos. El hombre que nos sirvió (ojalá tuviéramos su nombre) era tan servicial y amable que no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros.

Cheap and cheerful, if you're expecting 5* food you will be disappointed however the food, service and value for money Is fantastic. Staff are always smiling and professional, sports are regularly advertised and food is very good and doesn't cost the earth !

It was quite when we went so not sure about atmosphere about 4pm on a Friday. No parking was a little disappointing. Food was good value.

As it was our 1st visit we had a few questions to ask and the lady(kelsea/Chelsea, i think her name was?), was extremely helpful and so friendly and made us feel at ease. We ordered our food through the app and when it arrived it was delicious and hot and well worth the money we spent. We will definitely come back here again

Como era nuestra 1 visita a la calle teníamos unas preguntas que hacer y la señora (kelsea/Chelsea, creo que su nombre era? ) , era extremadamente servicial y tan amable y nos hizo sentir a gusto. Pedimos nuestra comida a través de la aplicación y cuando llegó estaba delicioso y caliente y bien vale la pena el dinero que gastamos. Sin duda volveremos aquí de nuevo

the visit was pleasant and the service was very pleasant, I will say that I go to this pub very often and I really like the people who work there. as for my visit, it went very well and I really liked everything except for one thing, if I can call it that. I came with my fiancée and a friend for Christmas Eve dinner and we didn't like it a bit that all the dishes were served at once. if these dishes were served in two rounds everything would be 100%. However, next year I'm in this pub again for Christmas Eve dinner. best regards and see you soon.

Weird passive aggressive staff, literally laughing as I’m sat at a table doing nothing.

Este fue el segundo almuerzo de Navidad aquí desde que se trasladó a Bournemouth en el otoño de 2023. Tiene un valor fenomenal de £ 55 para una comida de 3 platos y proseco y atrae a los clientes de la zona de Westbourne local. Las decoraciones navideñas en el interior (y la mesa) son simplemente hermosas y el esfuerzo puesto por el personal para celebrar este establecimiento es increíble. Al llegar nos mostraron a nuestra mesa, nuestros vasos llenos de efervescencia y nos instalamos para una experiencia gloriosa. El personal nos dio una experiencia de '6 estrellas' y no hay solicitud demasiado pequeña para proporcionar a sus clientes una ocasión memorable. Tuvimos las vieiras y guisantes triturados, etc. para empezar y mi esposa tuvo el paté y tostadas, ambos totalmente delicioso. Para seguir el almuerzo de Navidad con pavo, relleno en tocino, salchichas, papas asadas, pudín de yorkshire y verduras asadas. También un plato grande de salsa de arándanos y rábano picante para acompañar! . Tuvimos el glorioso malbec masticable para acompañar que fue increíble. Para terminar el pudín de Navidad y la bomba de chocolate con helados estaban deliciosos. La cantidad y calidad de este almuerzo de Navidad aquí fue 'sobresaliente'' y un gran agradecimiento a los chefs en la cocina que eran increíbles. La dirección y el personal hicieron un trabajo fenomenal y elevaron la experiencia del cliente al siguiente nivel. ¡No puedo esperar a reservar para el próximo año!

Visitamos regularmente el Westbourne Pub. Es local para nosotros. Jo y su equipo son gente encantadora y tan servicial. Soy celíaco y siempre me encuentran algo que pueda comer. Es un lugar popular y los precios son razonables también. Siempre disfrutamos de nuestras visitas. Bien hecho para todos.

Wonderful evening with the British Heart Foundation at their annual Xmas party.

Came for a family meal. Was very loud so not the right place for a quiet meal. Food was ok for the price but slow service.

Popped in with a friend for a few drinks before dinner nearby. Great pub & Service. I will be back when visting the area.

Barmaid ignore me, football all the screens, cold

We really enjoyed our spur of the moment visit to the Westbourne. We only had a couple of drinks so can't mention the food. We did see some people enjoying their meals and loved the professionalism of the waitress who served them. They were polite, mindful and patient. The customers felt well looked after. I had a festive tipple, "Rocking Rudolph". As the brewers Greene King say "Dark and full bodied, packed full of hops.  Challenger & Target providing underlying herbal hop and the rare Bramling cross giving redcurrant and blackcurrant.  Horlicks malty character from the pale malt and toffee from the crystal malt give warmth and the blend of hops provide a crisp bitterness". I will definitely be having another when I return, maybe this time with some food.

I had the Sunday roast beef today, it was one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. Generous portion, delicious and the service was great. The pub is so friendly and a good place to socialise. Would definitely go back

Visited this pub for the first time yesterday after work. It was busy, as expected for a Friday night but I managed to find a table for one to have a bit of food & a drink. I ordered on the app with no problems and shortly after a lovely waitress called Shareena served me. She was bubbly, friendly & efficient, and seemed very good at her job. She really made my experience better because of her service, even despite the fact it was so busy. I have been to places before on my own and sometimes the service is a let down because they're focussed on the bigger tables more because they're bringing in more money than just a single table. I will be returning especially because of the service, oh, and the food was absolutely delightful too! I had the 'small plates' of cod goujons & the squid, both went down a treat! Batter on the goujons was crispy and light, the squid was cooked really well and was tossed in sweet chilli sauce which was a really nice touch rather than just having it as a dip on the side. Looking forward to my next visit!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value lunchtime meal deal. Dog friendly, with dog meals available. Our fur baby especially likes the doggy roast.

Haven't eaten there yet but the food smelled really nice, they do a really nice Guinness and serving Paulanar German beer was a bonus too

Long time no visit but pleasantly surprised

We went to the Westbourne on Saturday evening with a couple of friends, to celebrate my husband's birthday with a meal. We quickly found ourselves greeted by Shereena (I hope I have the spelling right) who introduced herself as the "Floor Fairy". She turned a good experience into an absolutely amazing one, probably the best birthday celebration my husband has ever had in his 69 years! I cannot thank this wonderful lady enough for her attention to detail, her efforts to make us feel welcome, and her sheer bubbly personality, which enlivened our entire visit. Thank you dear Floor Fairy, we shall be back.

Wow so many screens didn't know which table to select. Food was great, lots of beers to choose from and service good to, will be back for start of a new season next year. Can't believe it's take 10 years to find the best sports bar in BCP.

Visited recently for the Celtic game, was amazing to see a pub be exactly what it says on the tin. A great community coming together to see a game, service was impeccable. Even though it was exceptionally busy! Hats off to the management and team. Will absolutely be my place to go for sport!

A fairly standard pub. Popped in to watch the football. Gents toilet was diabolical though. One toilet was out of order and the other had no lock and a broken toilet seat. Place seemed to be in need of some TLC.

They showed the Coventry City match when we asked them to. The staff were nice and the food was lovely!

Everything was top notch! The customer service, the food and drink. Best place for a breakfast in Westbourne, avoid the terrace cafe that's for sure! I'd highly recommend the Westbourne pub.

Had lvly sun roast friendly staff highly recomended

Regular visitor to Bournemouth / Westbourne. Booked The Westbourne online 2 adults 2 kids for dinner then to watch our football team (this was specified on booking in special requests section). Turned up temporary menu due to works in the kitchen, nothing highlighted to us before, also kitchen closes at 19:00 instead of 21:00 as advertised. Again nothing mentioned on booking. Kids meals bought out wrong, after eating they then took almost an hour to clear our table, the wine we requested they didn’t have, then requested 3 times for the football to be put on. Eventually this happened, was then told at 20:55 that it’s Company policy under 18s have to leave the premises by 21:00, this was at the end of half time of the football, which left us nowhere to watch the second half! The staff were not bothered by anything they couldn’t provide and totally disengaged with any concerns. They were not rude, but really seemed they couldn’t give a monkeys about providing any sort of service, it was a dead Monday evening and there were more staff than customers! My kids and partner all promised ourselves then and there - never again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. We would advise anyone, to go elsewhere. Awful experience.

As I’ve come to expect everything was perfect! I popped in for a free drink that I received via an email from the sports app, however the sun trap on the patio forced me stay and partake in a few more.. on a nice day this has to be the best place in town for catching some rays. Cheers all

We visited this pub on our way home from Sandbanks and we were delighted with the service Sam gave us as he listened attentively and helped put through our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free order with added notes to the kitchen team not to contaminate. Many thanks to Sam! The food was well presented and tasted very good. The drinks on offer are varied and the atmosphere is of a typical pub. We enjoyed our visit and recommend to all, including people with dietary requirements.

Disgraceful and awful customer service. I been to this pup last week with my partner. We went to towards the counter and been served by this young lady with glasses. She was very unfriendly and rather angry and unhappy. Before we ordere anything I asked her "How are you?". She was trying to avoid us and not answering and she looked down pretending doing something. First impression from a place where you visit for the very first time shouldn't be like this. We did not feel comfortable as we didn't feel welcomed. For this reason I won't recommend and won't go again to this pup. However, the pup has nice sitting inside and outside, with great location. I hope the management will have a look at this customer service matter and train staff how to treat customers particularly new customers

Service was good and the food was good value

We came in as a group of 10 people. We ordered over £150 worth of food and drinks. My boyfriend bought 3 rounds of beers and no one had a problem with it. But 10 mins later a staff came and asked to see everyone's IDs. Then he rejected my boyfriend's BRP even though we went 5 years without anyone doing such. He insisted that anyone without a valid ID (to which they get to decide the validity) had to get out by 9pm and it was 8:30pm?? Sure you can say you only accept 4 forms of ID but a) why not hand that sign at the entrance so everyone knows and we wouldn't bother going in at first; and b) why not ask to see my boyfriend's ID when he bought 3 rounds of beers? We had to negotiate just to get my boyfriend to stay and the whole time he was making such a face. Also when i went to ask for some tissues the guy gave me one tissue and made a face when i emphasized "some". Generally a really bad experience. Hopefully had nothing to do with the fact that we're Asian. We seriously contributed to half of their revenue that night. Thanks.

Had a fantastic time here! We were served our cold drinks quickly and with a smile by the lovely Jo, whilst Ady cooked us up a delicious roast. Everyone was so friendly and even our beloved pooch was warmly welcomed. We sat outside in the sun and the place was kept beautifully, flowers were gorgeous. Thank you guys, we really can’t wait to go back! See you all soon

Good hotel, good location for airport, no complaints

Absolutely brilliant and the first 'proper' pub I've found in the area. Plenty of TV's for the football, good quality beers and a fantastic management duo, with great friendly regulars! I'll certainly be visiting again!

We were looking for a dog friendly lunch venue and The Westbourne was perfect. All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Excellent service and great food - very reasonably priced too.

This is a great pub for watching the footy or darts! Busy pub with friendly bar staff and punters! Love a pint of Level Head in here. They do food but not tried it yet. Comfy seats and loads of room.

No Garden. Quite expensive. You can get something better in Bournemouth. Would make sense if it was cheaper.

This review has been written after few visits: as usual it is based on food quality, staff attitude, atmosphere and local-standard value for money. This pub offers different beers type: anyone can find his/her own favourite. Food is good and well presented when served - Burgers: good quality and not overcooked. Service is very friendly and good too (they serve food to the tables). Over the last twenty years I have been travelling for business (and not) reason and I have discovered a lot about the world of catering.

Exceptionally good ! This is a young’s pub … ! So I was quite shocked at the quality and care the food was made in … I even told the waitress I was schooled ! What a lovely pub with fab staff ! Out shines any other young’s pub I’ve been to so now I may try others . Really good menu… the squid strips were probably the best ever ! Korean chicken fab as was all the food Thanks guys

We stopped by for lunch but despite the helpful and friendly waitress, we weren't impressed with the food. I ordered a burger with fries but when it arrived my fries were soggy and not very hot. I complained and they were reheated which made them crisper. Unfortunately the burger was very disappointing, containing a large amount of chewy gristly bits. I didn't complain again as I didn't want a further delay in my lunch. I have always had a good opinion of Green King food but not so sure after this experience. The company needs to be careful about quality.

I moved to Westbourne a year ago and have made many acquaintances. It's a really friendly pub with a lively atmosphere. The food typical of this type of pub is well prepared and acceptable. Overall a great experience

The Steak was mediocre at best for the £14.45 price, served with almost unpalatable cherry tomatoes. The Chicken Katsu burger was chewy in places but was otherwise lovely. Chips were really nice. It's great that the Student Beans discount works on drinks, but it would be great to know it could only be applied once a day. Service was nice

Popped in for breakfast, great customer service, the lady that served us was called Jo, the breakfast was amazing and so cheap, I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else for breakfast! Completely freshly cooked full English under £6 is astounding! Highly recommend!

Easily the best full English breakfast in Westbourne! Everything cooked fresh and quick service. And a big old plate full of food for only just over a fiver! Hard to believe, but it’s true, just over a fiver for a quality full English! We’ll be back in a heartbeat.
