Everything was top notch! The customer service, the food and drink. Best place for a breakfast in Westbourne, avoid the terrace cafe that's for sure! I'd highly recommend the Westbourne pub.

Regular visitor to Bournemouth / Westbourne. Booked The Westbourne online 2 adults 2 kids for dinner then to watch our football team (this was specified on booking in special requests section). Turned up temporary menu due to works in the kitchen, nothing highlighted to us before, also kitchen closes at 19:00 instead of 21:00 as advertised. Again nothing mentioned on booking. Kids meals bought out wrong, after eating they then took almost an hour to clear our table, the wine we requested they didn’t have, then requested 3 times for the football to be put on. Eventually this happened, was then told at 20:55 that it’s Company policy under 18s have to leave the premises by 21:00, this was at the end of half time of the football, which left us nowhere to watch the second half! The staff were not bothered by anything they couldn’t provide and totally disengaged with any concerns. They were not rude, but really seemed they couldn’t give a monkeys about providing any sort of service, it was a dead Monday evening and there were more staff than customers! My kids and partner all promised ourselves then and there - never again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. We would advise anyone, to go elsewhere. Awful experience.

As I’ve come to expect everything was perfect! I popped in for a free drink that I received via an email from the sports app, however the sun trap on the patio forced me stay and partake in a few more.. on a nice day this has to be the best place in town for catching some rays. Cheers all

We visited this pub on our way home from Sandbanks and we were delighted with the service Sam gave us as he listened attentively and helped put through our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free order with added notes to the kitchen team not to contaminate. Many thanks to Sam! The food was well presented and tasted very good. The drinks on offer are varied and the atmosphere is of a typical pub. We enjoyed our visit and recommend to all, including people with dietary requirements.

Disgraceful and awful customer service. I been to this pup last week with my partner. We went to towards the counter and been served by this young lady with glasses. She was very unfriendly and rather angry and unhappy. Before we ordere anything I asked her "How are you?". She was trying to avoid us and not answering and she looked down pretending doing something. First impression from a place where you visit for the very first time shouldn't be like this. We did not feel comfortable as we didn't feel welcomed. For this reason I won't recommend and won't go again to this pup. However, the pup has nice sitting inside and outside, with great location. I hope the management will have a look at this customer service matter and train staff how to treat customers particularly new customers

Service was good and the food was good value

We came in as a group of 10 people. We ordered over £150 worth of food and drinks. My boyfriend bought 3 rounds of beers and no one had a problem with it. But 10 mins later a staff came and asked to see everyone's IDs. Then he rejected my boyfriend's BRP even though we went 5 years without anyone doing such. He insisted that anyone without a valid ID (to which they get to decide the validity) had to get out by 9pm and it was 8:30pm?? Sure you can say you only accept 4 forms of ID but a) why not hand that sign at the entrance so everyone knows and we wouldn't bother going in at first; and b) why not ask to see my boyfriend's ID when he bought 3 rounds of beers? We had to negotiate just to get my boyfriend to stay and the whole time he was making such a face. Also when i went to ask for some tissues the guy gave me one tissue and made a face when i emphasized "some". Generally a really bad experience. Hopefully had nothing to do with the fact that we're Asian. We seriously contributed to half of their revenue that night. Thanks.

Had a fantastic time here! We were served our cold drinks quickly and with a smile by the lovely Jo, whilst Ady cooked us up a delicious roast. Everyone was so friendly and even our beloved pooch was warmly welcomed. We sat outside in the sun and the place was kept beautifully, flowers were gorgeous. Thank you guys, we really can’t wait to go back! See you all soon

Good hotel, good location for airport, no complaints

Absolutely brilliant and the first 'proper' pub I've found in the area. Plenty of TV's for the football, good quality beers and a fantastic management duo, with great friendly regulars! I'll certainly be visiting again!

We were looking for a dog friendly lunch venue and The Westbourne was perfect. All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Excellent service and great food - very reasonably priced too.

Saw the pub meal deal advertised give it a go not to busy helpful staff nice doggy sausage food ok.. one very VILE gents toilet worst smell since school days 😡 brought this to the attention of team leader on duty

This is a great pub for watching the footy or darts! Busy pub with friendly bar staff and punters! Love a pint of Level Head in here. They do food but not tried it yet. Comfy seats and loads of room.

No Garden. Quite expensive. You can get something better in Bournemouth. Would make sense if it was cheaper.

This review has been written after few visits: as usual it is based on food quality, staff attitude, atmosphere and local-standard value for money. This pub offers different beers type: anyone can find his/her own favourite. Food is good and well presented when served - Burgers: good quality and not overcooked. Service is very friendly and good too (they serve food to the tables). Over the last twenty years I have been travelling for business (and not) reason and I have discovered a lot about the world of catering.

Exceptionally good ! This is a young’s pub … ! So I was quite shocked at the quality and care the food was made in … I even told the waitress I was schooled ! What a lovely pub with fab staff ! Out shines any other young’s pub I’ve been to so now I may try others . Really good menu… the squid strips were probably the best ever ! Korean chicken fab as was all the food Thanks guys

We stopped by for lunch but despite the helpful and friendly waitress, we weren't impressed with the food. I ordered a burger with fries but when it arrived my fries were soggy and not very hot. I complained and they were reheated which made them crisper. Unfortunately the burger was very disappointing, containing a large amount of chewy gristly bits. I didn't complain again as I didn't want a further delay in my lunch. I have always had a good opinion of Green King food but not so sure after this experience. The company needs to be careful about quality.

I moved to Westbourne a year ago and have made many acquaintances. It's a really friendly pub with a lively atmosphere. The food typical of this type of pub is well prepared and acceptable. Overall a great experience

The Steak was mediocre at best for the £14.45 price, served with almost unpalatable cherry tomatoes. The Chicken Katsu burger was chewy in places but was otherwise lovely. Chips were really nice. It's great that the Student Beans discount works on drinks, but it would be great to know it could only be applied once a day. Service was nice

Easily the best full English breakfast in Westbourne! Everything cooked fresh and quick service. And a big old plate full of food for only just over a fiver! Hard to believe, but it’s true, just over a fiver for a quality full English! We’ll be back in a heartbeat.

Popped in for breakfast, great customer service, the lady that served us was called Jo, the breakfast was amazing and so cheap, I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else for breakfast! Completely freshly cooked full English under £6 is astounding! Highly recommend!

We go there regularly after a business meeting. There is always a friendly welcome the food is good and so is the service .Sam in particular goes out of his way to make sure we have everything we need. I never know exactly how many people i will bring until the night and we are always catered for. Highly recommended

Great pub, bar staff were all very friendly and although being very busy they were still on the ball! Will definitely be visiting again - maybe for food next time as it all looked very good and they had a great selection! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for food/drinks!

Best roast dinner we’ve had so far, potato’s crispy beef was tender and thick, gravy was incredible and the 2 men behind the bar was so nice and welcoming, will deffo be returning :)

Went in for a Sunday roast. Blonde lady with pony tail ( think her name was Sharina) was very helpful efficient and couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed our meal.

Sherina was a great waitress, really nice lady excellent service, life of the party! Food was great too !

Just back from The Westbourne after a simply yummy Sunday lunch. Food was great, the beef and the nut roast. Lovely selection of great value wines too. A lovely, friendly, welcoming pub

Sad shadow of a pub I suspect was once beautiful with buzzing crowds and superb ales and food. Now it's the worst pub for parking, service, food and drink I have EVER been to. Avoid this dreadful place, I could say so much about this pub, but it's more straightforward to just say this. DO NOT GO THERE

If you are visiting Westbourne you must visit the Westbourne for a meal. Great menus,excellent and tasty food and first class customer service. Cant think of a better place to go for great pub food.

Great service, good food and beer. Only downside for me is all the TV screens showing sports, but that's just personal preference.

Lovely steak & ale pie and very tasty sticky toffee pudding. Good portions, good service for food and drinks. I would definitely eat here again. Decent value for money.

I didn't have food. The staff are always friendly it's nice and clean, and the beer tastes good so there is good line cleaning being done. Such good value for lunch and very good food. Service was excellent too.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Connor and Beth who are very polite and efficient. We had a selection from the Mix & Share menu plus the Nachos and everything had a great flavour and was great value. The decor is a bit tired, typical old boozer, but everything else was great.

We were going to a show in Bournemouth and wanted somewhere not too far away for an early dinner. Decided to try the Westbourne and made the right choice! Staff were very helpful and friendly and the menu was slightly different than the norm for a pub. The waitress Shareena was great! Funny bubbly, helpful and a definite asset to the pub. We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back! Food was lovely too 😊

Visited The Westbourne, not only for breakfast but also as a group of friends who meet regularly as a Book Club. We had a booth which gave us privacy for our catch up and talk about books we’ve read. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked,...

Went for brunch with friends. Staff lovely, had a really good full English for £5.25. Really good value. Pub pretty basic but value for money, nice service and good food makes up for it.

Stayed in Bournemouth, but visited Westbound for a couple of hours and decided to eat here, good decision! I was really surprised by the taste and how the food was presented, we ordered tapas :) Great job 👍🏻

Used to enjoy food at the Westbourne but moved away so it wasn’t practical. However we decided to take a detour and try it out again this week and it was as good as always with delicious food and really friendly service. We’ll be going back again soon even though it’s further away for us. The journey is worth it for the enjoyment we receive 😃

A perfectly fine pub with a good selection. However, a few pints that our group ordered were clearly off or underwhelming. Your bog standard pub you wouldn’t be concerned about visiting. Nice decor and friendly staff, live music but not when we were there.

Staying in Bournemouth came here to go to " a pub " rather than a Wetherspoons , lovely friendly people , if down south will call in here again .
