Flirt Cafe Bar in Bournemouth

I come here AT LEAST once a month and it has become such a special place. With great drinks, lovely staff, and a great environment there is really nothing bad to say. I come mostly for the events (craft night and karaoke)— but have never not had a good time. Huge fan of their milkshakes and I’ve never had better chips than the ones here. Flirt is such an important and lovely community hub for Bournemouth and definitely worth a visit.

Lovely cafe, tables inside and out. Fab-u-lous decor. Coffee and cake, with great, friendly service. Breakfast menu looked good too.

Flirt cafe is an amazing friendly and open establishment, ALL the staff really try (and succeed) t ok offer an excellent experience. I can’t fault the food or coffee.

My favourite cafe in Bournemouth for a late brunch. Staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Eclectic decor. Good range of food for pretty much all tastes. I recommend the milkshakes and the Baileys coffee. Keep an eye out for events nights….Halloween was a scream!

Would always recommend Flirt, owner is lovely, makes you feel welcome. Very dog friendly. Best food dishes are the sweetcorn pancake and the waffle, bacon, chicken and maple syrup. Good prices and amazing food 😁

I’ve been a repeat customer for the last few years and it’s one of the best friendly cafes in town. The chefs are always have to cater to slight menu changes, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the owner is present, professional and welcoming to all customers and staff. Will continue to go here, it’s always busy but they staff will always help you get seated. Very children friendly. Lots of events to get involved in too.

Food was lovely, Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. Great choice of food. Amazing atmosphere. Owner checks that everything is good. Back again and still excellent.

Fav place in Bournemouth on a Sunday afternoon great food and drink. Reminds of the Dry Bar Manchester from the early 90’s. Big thanks also from Billy the Labrador spoilt rotten!

Spotted FLIRT whilst exploring town.... bright & inviting. Staff warm & welcoming... variable seeing. Incredible decor & atmosphere. Coffee was so wonderful - my husband & I stayed for second ones. Had incredible heart shaped ginger biscuit. Took photos as loved everything about flirt.... Would definitely visit again....

Went on a Wednesday evening for the quiz. Very busy and a great night out. Ed, who ran the quiz was great fun.

We have had many trips to Flirt with friends and family and have thoroughly enjoyed them all! Bingo and curry night is a favourite with all the family - we always look forward to Eddies hosting and costumes! Recently, I held a private party here and Eddie was super accommodating and all my guests had a fantastic evening. Last night enjoyed a dinner with family and friends. A table for 13 people of mixed ages not easy to book but Flirt is the perfect place. Delicious food options to accommodate all ages, easy to organise as a large group as you order and pay at the bar for your order so no issues with sorting a bill end of night, milkshakes for the kids a treat, great service and a fab atmosphere. I can’t recommend enough. The team and Eddie are so accommodating and it is a joy to be there.

Always friendly staff, good customer service, lively atmosphere in the cafe, some dishes quite pricy, presentation always good when brought to the table. I had a 'special on' today from the menu, it was a toffee flavoured milkshake with fresh milk, toffee syrup and fresh whipped cream on the top, syrup drizzled over the cream. Looked very appealing for my taste buds, cold fresh milk, delicious fresh cream and toffee sauce, truly recommended it, not cheap, worth the price- £5.50 in total.

Was looking for an independently run place to go for lunch, we all eat a variety of foods I won’t eat fast food and my 17 year old is autistic so it can be difficult eating out with him. Wow did we pick the right place. Nicely laid out very clean picked up a nice clean not sticky menu, water was brought to the table, lovely friendly staff. Good menu choices and very good prices. We all agreed the quality and quantity of the food was brilliant. Even my 17yr old tried to food and ate something completely out of his comfort zone and really enjoyed what he could manage. Can’t recommend this highly enough, if we come back to Bournemouth we’ll definitely be eating here again. Thank you for a lovely experience

This was our third choice as we couldn’t get parked for the first two but Flirt was next to a car park. Touch! About to order a chicken burger and I saw this sweetcorn pancake being cooked which looked yummy so I opted for that and what a great late switch it was. Filled with feta, a lovely fresh salad nicely dosed in a dressing, a portion of homemade red slaw and sweet chilli jam which finished it off. So good, I’m taking my wife there. She’s a retired chef. It was a Venezuelan staple, the pancake but the name eludes me. Caphepa!! Try it!!

As always, the staff are super friendly and happy to see you. But even more than that, I had the BEST eggs benedict that I have ever had, and I have had a lot. I think it's the smokey bacon that does it. Ok price as well. Please keep this on the menu.

Found this cafe when looking for somewhere to eat breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning during my stay in Bournemouth. I received a lovely warm welcome from the staff and owner. Lots of lovely comfy seating - very buzzy and vibrant atmosphere. I had really nice breakfast and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. It was busy and I could have stayed here all morning! Dogs also welcome…would definitely come here again

I would have liked very much to give this place a good review — it looked terrific. But when I arrived early they would not let me sit and wait until breakfast service started 0900.

A home away from home. I always like stopping by for a coffee and a catch up. Doubles up as a reliable remote working spot from time to time. There’s also a piano if you’re feeling musical!

Visited here for brunch and had the big breakfast which was nice and the coffee is good also . A nice friendly atmosphere with a varied and cosmopolitan clientele adds character to this venue which it’s self is peppered with pictures and objects of interest. In the triangle area of bournemouth with seating outside and entertainment on the evenings combined with sensible pricing on drinks make this an interesting and value for money experience

I fell in love with Flirt from the first time I went ther. Today I took my sister, niece and my youngest son and it was absolutely amazing like usual! We had Venezuelan Cachapas, waffles with bacon and chicken caesar wrap. As a person who grew up in Venezuela, the Cachapas were a trip back in memory lane. The members of staff are amazing and always happy. So, thank you so much Flirt team and keep up the good work. ❤️❤️

What a wonderful experience I had at Flirt cafe and bar. The food is exquisite, I especially enjoyed a Venezuelan dish called Cachapa. So delicious! I didn’t have to wait too long before the kind and efficient staff served me. All I can say is AMAZING! Great atmosphere and super tasty food! Definitely a must visit.

This is my first time at the restaurant, someone recommended it because they have “Cachapa”. My friend was excited about the Cachapa in the town. We decided to try this restaurant for the first time. But to be honest, the cachapa arrived uncooked, no good 🤢🫢 also with 2 salads and ketchup. 😒😒 The combination of cachapa and salad does not go together. Cachapa is usually eaten on its own with cheese and butter and a rich cream cheese sauce. But never with salad. I recommend to practice more to do a better Cachapa if you can’t do it. Please find a better receipt. I ordered a Cappuccino with oat milk, The taste of the coffee was horrible, with no taste at all. Like water 🤮🤮🤮 I leave the coffee on the table. I ordered a Croissant and the size of the croissant was like mini size. 😳 £3.20 for this mini croissant. The waitress was not even able to ask us if the food was OK. Been to the venue twice during our trip to Bournemouth. On both occasions the staff made us feel very welcome, the atmosphere was super friendly and the food was quickly prepared, fresh and tasty. Will be returning again soon!

We came here as I had heard lots of people talk about it. What a nice little surprise. Staff seemed happy in their jobs, and the service was good. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. There was lots to look at it was like a step back in time, I would like to return during the evening to see what it's like then.

FLIRT is a wonderful place to visit. Firstly it’s the owner Ed who makes this place memorable. He’s attentive, makes you feel like a VIP and he has a warm personality which shines through every time you visit. Ed’s enthusiasm rubs off on the rest of his team too. The food is delicious, especially the Big Flirt Breakfast. Finally Ed puts on some great evening entertainment my favourite being FLIRT Bingo which is on the last Thursday every month.

Honestly, this place is amazing!!! Reasonably priced, lovely staff, great atmosphere, delicious food and great drinks. I would HIGHLY recommend it ('and you should know my recommendations are essentially a guarantee') and we've now found our new regular spot!

I’ve been coming here since the previous owners of Legends had it. I have never had an off experience, bad experience or bad service here. It’s truly great! Lovely food, the nicest, friendliest staff and a lovely atmosphere! Unique and welcoming! Go for breakfast, go for a coffee, go for dinner or go for one of their fab nights! True staff truly make this place, Especially the Ryan Reynolds looking man, perhaps the manager? Dunno but he’s great! Please try, you won’t be disappointed

The prices, atmosphere and location are excellent. The portions are good. The service very quick and polite. My only issue was the both my wife and I had ordered dishes with poached eggs but the eggs were overcooked i.e. boiled, probably because they were left in the water for too long. We still ate our brunch and enjoyed it and we would come again.

Popped in with my friend for the first time and had an iced mocha - oh my goodness it was amazing. I love my coffee / iced coffee so im quite particular with the taste - I will certainly be back. Staff were so friendly. The food looked delicious aswell. So much better than Costa / Starbucks ❤️

I eat here regularly. Today (Tuesday 23/05/23) I had quite simply THE best meal I have ever eaten anywhere in Bournemouth. They have normally no competition from other places in town, however today I had the special on display, Empanadas, and they were Devine. I cannot overstate the meal I had. Thank you to the owners and ALL of the rest of the staff for making me so welcome when I come in and especially to the staff who advised me to try todays special. To everyone else wondering should I eat here, honestly the place is awesome, and the food amazing.

First visit but easy to see this venue is a hub and a hive of activity. Breakfast, lunch, sweet, alcohol, dance, bingo quiz… you get the picture. It’s hip ‘n’ happenin’. All ages, eclectic decor and friendly, dynamic management staff. Do yourself a favour and get down there.

Travelled from Basingstoke for a shopping trip. Went in after google search for LGBTQ+ friendly places rated “Flirt” top. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, made to feel welcome. Ordered a couple of drinks and food. Food bought to table, well presented, good portion size, and great taste! Offered cold water with our meal. Only wish had somewhere like this where I live!!

Having to hang around in town for an hour whilst we waited for a watch to be repaired, there's only one thing to do... breakfast?! My 7yo son and myself were greeted as we entered the cafe bar. It was quite busy and there were currently no tables available, but there was a couple of skoda's spare, so we were assured that if we order our food, we'd be sat at table by the time our order arrived. We selected our orders from the menu and ordered and paid for our meal at the counter. The service team on the counter where the perfect balance between being courteous and relaxed. As promised we were offered a suitable table as soon as one was available and our order was delivered to our table a short while later. Our order arrived hot and the server offered us a selection of sauces etc along with what was on the table. The food (1x small and 1x large breakfast) was a very good quality and arrived hot. With toast that was the thick doorstop style; similarly the bacon was a thick cut. The sasuages served are a premium breakfast style. Eggs were sunnyside up, tomatoes were seasoned well and the beans were served in a small ramekin on the plate. We both enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. We found both the sofa and chairs at the table to be comfortable. The decor complimented the atmosphere. We have considered doing a monthly breakfast with the boys and I think weve just found the place! Recommended!
