We decided to treat our son to a late lunch following his football match and were as impressed as on our previous visit (sometime in the spring). We ordered two deluxe burgers with chips and a small (but plenty big enough!) Sunday roast. We received three hot, tasty meals very quickly and enjoyed every bite! For good, honest food with no fancy frills at a great price this is the best place I've come across.

It's a good place to stop for a coffee or tea when dog walking, there is a play area in front for children to play or on the field area, the food portion's are very substantial for the price and the staff are friendly. Always stop here for a few minutes when walking the dog. It's always busy so that in itself speaks volumes.

It was a lovely warm day so we sat outside. I ordered a breakfast which arrived promptly. the breakfast was nice with plenty of toast. The beans were overcooked as not nice. Apart from that the breakfast was nice.

For a good standard breakfast at a reasonable price, excellent. The staff are friendly and there is a balcony where you can't sit outside looking at the cricket pitch while having a brekkie with your dog. The toilets are very clean. Good old style cafe not many left now.

Popped in with some friends for lunch and had the all day breakfast. Reasonably priced, well cooked and very tasty. Lovely staff. Ample parking.

Nice little cafe does a good selection of very reasonably priced food and drink, we all just had drinks, granddaughter had an ice cream and grandson chips. Enjoyed all of it lovely park to view, and plenty of room for children to play on the grass excellent cup of coffee and tea this morning. Such a good place generous portions of food really like the cafe. Same pleasant staff nice view over the cricket pitch in the summer. Enjoyed some time with my son and grandson they had sausage and bacon baps, I had coffee and kit kat, all very good

Great old fashioned cafe. Nicely situated in a park right by Bournemouth FC. Ideal for a pre match meal. Had Full English breakfast which was very good and fairly priced. Would recommend.

I came 15 Years ago with a Disability Organisation, to access Kings Park in general for the Council on accessible access for Disabled people. i have not been back since then and was pleased to see things have improved since 2008. I came with a Colleague, as I wanted some lunch whilst passing the area. I'm blind and felt very comfortable with getting up to the building, friendly staff, meal not long to cook and reasonable coffee. I sat down at the table where i chose an all day breakfast with toast and a small cup of coffee. My Colleague ordered for me and it was not long until it was brought over to me. I sat chatting for a while, before using the toilet which was the ladies as i couldn't get into the Access/Disabled toilet which I usually use, however, the ladies was okay for my needs and you have wide doors to go in and out of the main toilet area. I asked somebody about times of opening because i'm doing a Directory for Disabled people in this area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole? I looked on another review from 2021 or 2022, saying you don't do milk free from Dairy, as I sometimes suffer with having too much, but the little you put into my cup was okay, however, it would be then idea to do that in future, because not because of me but other people have a lot of problems these days, my suggestion was not a complaint but thoughts for the future? I will be back soon, as i loved your breakfast of two sausages, scrammed eggs, mushrooms and two pieces of toast with loved butter and a small cup of coffee. I hope to come in the warmer weather as i can sit outside smelling the lovely aromas. Well done and see you in a couple of months? .

Great traditional cafe, selling all what you would expect and more from breakfast baps and large breakfast to proper dinner fare.. Easy access to floor level and extra tables on first floor which no doubt doubles as a club. Patio for warmer weather. Good basic clean facilities, very busy, very popular and very friendly. Reasonably priced and well cooked food. Nothing more to say than it's well worth a visit.

Good honest comforting food with plenty of options, helpful staff and the icing on the cake is that on a nice day you can eat outside on the veranda whilst watching the world go by... oh, and its dog friendly too! 👍

Meeting a friend who suggested this as convenient fir disabled parking. I don’t eat dairy & was disappointed to find they had no dairy free milk alternatives. Besides the fact that these days, so many people are omitting dairy products from their diets due to their environmental impact, there are also many who are lactose intolerant. There are numerous long life dairy free milk alternatives if shelf is an issue. Also individual portion sizes are available. Sadly I had to sit for 2 hours without purchasing anything.

Usually I buy here snacks and drinks after school- it's handy that the cafe is next to the playground. Hot days me and children would get ice cream - many delicious options available. Nice place with friendly staff.

Went for a big breakfast and was not disappointed.Stepped into the cafe,and was transported back 60 years to pleasant boyhood memories of having an afternoon tea,and watching the cricket on a sunny Sunday in the early 60s. In the 80s I went at least once a week for brekkie. It was great to see the same people running it, albeit a little older,but still there producing real food in a propper cafe atmosphere. The person who served our meal,was the same person who served it over 30 years ago. We did have a joke about not looking a day older,and of course it was great to reminisce. Nothing has changed there, which in this age of constant change,was lovely. Our food was served 5 mins after we sat down. Clean(not running in grease)full English +. Please don't take this away Mr Council man. We don't need another high price,up market eatery,that will add nothing to anything. This cafe and the family that run it excellently need to be preserved as a place of social value,and not given out to the highest tender,so we lose not only a reasonably priced,well cooked English food,but also a part of many people's personal history. When we went on a Monday morning the place was full. If the people who run it lose their lease,and it changes to a higher priced eatery,it will fail. We have enough of those,what we don't have enough of is places that people on budgets,or those who enjoy breakfast,and lunches,ices,drinks etc can sit down and enjoy real time in a real atmosphere. This was the first time in 3 years I had been there,and was appraised of the difficulties the people who run it are having with this, sell the family silver lot who at this moment are running our town.

What a find!!! Was busy but staff super efficient! Veggie breakfast great...I added black pudding too... Hehe.... Well cooked. Coffee good. Staff friendly even though it was busy. 2 of us ate with hot drinks AND toast... And smiles... £15... Proper traditional cafe!!

Fantastic Sunday roast lunch, glad I went for the smaller portion as even that was very generous, children's meals are good size as well, it came out very hot, worth every penny and not expensive, very popular which speaks volumes, well worth a visit. Also enjoy a snack when out walking the dog, she gets a couple of sausages as a treat. Very nice and friendly service.

We love this place. Proper breakfasts, with the works for affordable prices. Also, main meals like Sunday roasts and available with drink and starter or cake deals. Friendly staff, always happy after having eaten there!

A great cafe with a great menu. The menu covers daily roasts to cafe breakfasts and an assortment of lunches such as cottage pie even liver and bacon occasionally. All cooked on the premises. A cafe with wow!

Good service and food. Only thing that stopped the 5 stars was the through wind, but obviously that was only due to bad weather and COVID. Will be back.

This is such a lovely typical old school cafe, set in a nice park. The value of the food is great which means you'll want to come back again and the staff are lovely. My wife's breakfast was £4.90. I would definitely recommend coming here at the same time as walking your dogs around Kings Park as we do.

19/4/21 Just been here again. Called first told there wasnt any queues. First time since last I reviewed. Astonished the lady remembered what we wanted! I know we dont change but its been 6 months. Food good Price good Place clean. Easy Happy to be here. Worth the trip. 29/9/20 easy place. Free easy to get to parking outside the door. Wander in, worn but clean. Not in your face about covid. Protection is in place but not obtrusive. Good menu with lots choice. Been here a lot with both my kids. No drama even if we're in bike kit. Food is excellent. Fast service. Does get busy, so you need to pick your time. Staff are brilliant. They worked out what we want in about 3 visits and just supply it. Man just looks grumpy but isn't . Be back in a few days.

Couldn't cope with football matchday kept serving to the point they had no tables left me and my boyfreind had to sit out in the cold to eat our food but it was ok the food but needs extending the cafe
