Stopped for coffee during a walk from Mudeford

Stopped off here for breakfast mid walk. Freshly cooked full English served up by friendly, attentive staff. Sipped on a freshly ground coffee, looking out the picture window, watching the world go by. Very relaxing. Outside seating too, when the weather's kinder and there are less seagulls.. Takeaway available too + ice cream on offer

Had a hot drink. Very good prices in comparison with other beach cafes

Nachos could have been considerably better.

Busy busy place, but well managed by efficient, friendly staff.

We stopped here close to closing time and the staff were great. They offered us the snacks we wanted and prepared them with no fuss. The food was great and the coffee was very nice. If you are here on the beach or just passing, stop here for a bite or drink.

Best soup ever (potato and red pepper) friendly, not too expensive.

I allways come here as it's my great away and for my mental health I have been coming here for many years never a issue with food or staff but to I ordered same fish finger wrap I get mayo but was chill maybe it was very busy today so maybe this is a one off my fish fingers where cut in to small pieces which didn't like look the normal ones I do have I honestly don't want to go anywhere else I didn't want to queue up just a complain as a queue were very long hopefully they won't get my order wrong next time but still happy with the service

Had a big breakfast today. Always very nice. The staff are friendly and efficient. I highly recommend going and enjoying the food and watching the world go by. Its so much better than the noisey lobster and not as expensive.

I love this place and visit regularly. They have it all right. Be prepared to queue as they are a victim of their own success but well worth the wait.

Lovely little cafe on the beach. Good quick service and large slice of cake! Main meals are good portions and nice enough with vege options.

Amazing views from the terrace, excellent Carrot cake 1 slice did 2 of us. This was our second visit and not disappointed.

Very good breakfast but never very hot and served on cold plates which doesn't help. All staff are very nice and friendly and what a fab view.

Such an amazing place, worth a visit. Go to it very hungry as the portions are fenomenal and the price very good.

We had the Friars Breakfast, I have a gluten intolerance and was very pleased that I could have everything that my husband had, with GF sausage & toast. It was all well cooked & nicely presented. Good value for money and a super view of the Isle of Wight. Will definitely be back.

Staff were very friendly and had an excellent French onion soup. Good price and well above average food for a cafe.

Read good reviews on this cafe so encouraged my elderly parents to walk an extra mile past the the cafe we always use. On walking in a very rude women snapped eating in or out and order at the takeaway window if you sitting outside ,you can see the cake available through the window as I was reading the menu to my parents. Felt like we where pushed out of the door before we could decide what we wanted. I would suggest she treats all customers with better manners and especially the elderly who need time to make a decision and have trouble seeing well. She should know better as must be a pensioner herself soon so would expect much better manners towards the elderly. The young guy serving inside was much more pleasant and helpful. Cake and coffee was great and a good price for the area just a shame my parents where made to feel awkward.

Great breakfast in even better surroundings

We ordered the full English x 2 ...but it wasn't very nice sadly ..bacon and sausage was hard and egg even a bit tough !..potato slices and beans saved the meal ..nearly £10 for a not very appetising brunch..It could have been because they were very busy because of school coach parties there as well ...We didn't complain because we wanted to get back in time for our carparking !

Great location, but coffee tasted bad, and the pizza was awful. My partners food was good though. Service was friendly but very slow.

This place is out of this world the food was brilliant and that go with the service you get there and look out to the sea why eating is brilliant we stopped there for breakfast

The staff here are so polite and prompt. The queue goes down quickly, the ice cream range is great with a nice view of the beach. We didn't have lunch but there was homemade curry and Toaties/burger&chips available.

We had a really enjoyable stop here for lunch following a visit to Highcliff Castle. We had a Chicken wrap and a fish finger wrap, followed by a soft-scoop ice cream. The service was really good, friendly, and efficient. The food was tasty too! There are plenty of seating out on the walkway in front and also down on the beach.

A fantastic place would recommend to any one.

I only stopped for a coffee and piece of cake and ive got to say that the Dorset apple cake was superb and good coffee to. Saw other people eating and the food looked delicious. No doubt it gets very busy so expect a queue on occasions. Will definitely return when visiting the area again.

Bustling little cafe with about 8 tables inside and more outside. Plenty of gluten free options, less vegan but friendly, swift service and a great location on the beach below the old radar site and parking nearby. 15min walk up to Highcliff castle though was a bit muddy in April.

Epic breakfast sandwiches.. I can say no more.. Was busy but food was good and hot..

Always friendly place to visit for a coffee or lunch or ice cream over looking the beach

Located on the beech between Highcliffe Castle and Mudeford at 'Steamer Point' Excellent fresh ground coffee. Very friendly staff. Prices are not cheep but are far more reasonable than other cafes and stalls closer to Mudeford. There is a 'borrow box' where children can take buckets and spades etc on to the beech while parents eat or drink. Plenty of seating with some indoor tables, some outside but under cover/shade and picnic tables on the beech. There are also nearby public toilets.

First time we've been here. Very convenient location. Nice sea view from the cafe. Short easy walk from the car park. And do try the magnificent sausage and bacon butties. Not to be missed!

1st time visit, grandson had cheese burger which was great however chips weren't that good. I ordered coffee and toasted teacake coffee was OK unfortunately teacake arrived 20 mins after coffee and was hard. The cafe wasn't busy so the wait wasn't due to busy time. Overall disappointed 😞

Best almond Danish on the south coast!

Great location. Nice cuppa, sat on a table right on the beach. Bright and breezy this morning, with great views of the whole of Christchuch Bay.

Nice atmosphere, great view of the beach, good quality ham/cheese toastie and friendly staff. Very nice experience on a squally winters day. Reasonably priced too. I'll be back.

Very expensive for 2 cups of tea , stale carrot cake & bread pudding £11 not happy, won't go there again!

Food, bacon, saugage & egg on white bap with hot mug of tea excellent. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Situated on the Beach front.After a long Dog walk We enjoyed Sandwiches and a drink at a reasonable price for this area.

We had cappuccino, latte, bread pudding and Dorset Apple Cake 2 days running at this cafe. Lovely friendly service and really nice bread pudding and Dorset Apple Cake. Great coffee too.

Fabulous breakfast and stunning location

Tried this place for the first time last week whilst on holiday. The cooked breakfast was amazing and the service was friendly. In some ways a victim of its own success though as it was extremely busy, even at this time of year, so a long queue for drinks and food. We will definitely be adding The Beach Hut Café to our list of places to visit when in the area.

The food was excellent. Staff attentive and friendly. You do have to queue for quite some time to place an order even when 'dining in'. I'm not sure there is any way to fix this however. It is a very popular busy place.

Like an oasis it offers good refreshments after a long walk along the beach. Both sheltered and outdoor seating with benches on the sand too..

Visited Friars Cliff and stopped here for a spot of lunch. There are tables on the beach and up by the small cafe area. All of our sandwiches and wraps were lovely and it was lovely to sit looking out to sea. Ice cream prices were a bit steep for the children's ice creams. Would recommend a stop here despite the queues for food/drinks/ice creams.

Sitting on a bench, having a big breakfast and being feet away from the sea. It doen't get much better.

A great cafe on Avon beach with some seating areas available. Always busy with a good vibe. Staff so friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. Worth a visit for breakfast on the beach!

7th October 2023.... beautiful weather and we stopped for a coffee.... Hot and nice quality, but the wait almost made me leave the queue... 5 stars if the line moved quicker but, that's the trade off for a very popular Café... lovely beach and very polite staff.

Stopped here twice, once for takeaway coffee which was good. And sat in for iced coffee which was also good 👍

Place is very nice.. but qué jumping .. not very impressed... And it was over 16 people jumped the que... And instagated by a member of their staff.

Great ambience let down by the terrible queuing experience, even though you are seated, you are asked to join the queue. It was only after we had been served that the queue was then divided into food & drinks/ice creams. After ordering we then had a half hour wait for food. I went on the basis that the food was good. It was not. The bacon was just super salty with no particular flavour, okay sausages, a perfect egg and cheap doughy white bread. Sorry, I won’t be back. It was a miserable experience. :/

Great food & service only outside eating at moment

We turned up at about 4.00pm and were able to find something suitable to eat for everybody including gluten free options. Which were all delicious and freshly cooked. Highly recommend 👌

Excellent cafe on the promenade of Avon Beach between Mudeford and Highcliffe. Good varied menu at reasonable prices. All cooked to order so there can be a wait at busy times. Seating inside and out.

Pretty good cafe - not a bad choice of vegan/veggie food. Veggie breakfast £7.50 - no toast 😐 Tasty though - and not too pricey, which is a nice change.
