Tasttwhitebait, minute steak had too much grizzle, should trim it more, my other companion had it and it was fine. Good attentive service. French lager small bottle £5.47. Like most places charge wayyy too much for drinks.

Arrived after 9 so quiet Tues night so no atmosphere. Manager very attentive.Fillet steak rare melted in your mouth with mushroom sauce and French beans. Bottle of French cider which was good and £40 which is maybe a bit expensive for a chain. But didn't feel like a chain when your there. Prices from £17 upwards Worth checking out

Food good, service and little ignored, refused to take cash, that's ridiculous and not justified, for that reason I wouldn't return, unless they give the option to take cash, no change expected.

Being fortunate enough to find the same staff in a hospitality environment for such a long period says enough. They are appreciated for their hard work and the service they provide. This was our 25th visit to Cote Bournemouth over the past few years. Every time we've found the food, service and atmosphere to be of a high standard. Highly recommended.

Me and my fiancé always go here to celebrate anniversaries. We can count on the cosy and romantic yet comfortably casual atmosphere. The food and drinks as well as service is always great. You could go for a laid back brunch or a fancy dinner. This Christmas I especially loved the warm madelines with brandy butter

Great ,personal and professional service , by quality price best food deal around Bournemouth! After a long walk on a stormy evening, taking the kids to see the Christmas lights, end up in this lovely and cosy venue for dinner. The moment we’ve entered, been greeted with smile and kindness by “Kartik” (saying on the bill). Which stay our server throughout the dinner. An amazing guy , who’s taking hospitality industry to heart, being professional yet personal. A great asset for Côte! He makes Hospitality Industry proud! Booked for 8pm but due to the awful weather arrived earlier and they kindly seated us. Service was good, Parth looked after us and was very attentive. Food was delicious!

We were a table of four and did not book. Found a nice table for us and the service was great. The food was fine, but the portions were quite small. My wife did not enjoy her butternut squash pie, and the waitress was kind enough to give her a free glass of wine to compensate. It was all a little uninspiring and unsurprising given the length of the menu. The staff were great, and the service was good.

We went for a nice dinner, the food was great and the staff was friendly, the food didn’t take long and they have many options for drinks and food including the Christmas menu.

It may be a chain, but the staff at this one make all the difference, especially one guy who makes you feel welcome and makes you feel special. This always makes a difference to the meal. The waiter just knew the right amount to engage and leave you to enjoy the wonderful meal. The beef cheek was amazing and fell apart with just a fork. I really enjoyed every moment of my meal and would have loved to have a desert, but I was full to the brim. Even though to use the words of the waiter, the only thing wrong with the beef was there was never enough as it was so gorgeous.

Absolutely disgusting experience here. Made a booking, arrived well on time, and were left stood at the entrance for 10 minutes or longer, suddenly completely ignored by staff now that my (notably mixed-race) group was in view. When we finally asked to be seated at our table (at least 15 were visibly empty) we were told none were available. Felt quite apparent that despite being well-dressed and impeccably behaved, for *some reason* my group was not welcome. A worthless dump run by worthless racists. I’ve since found out that all Cote food is pre-frozen and comes from a central depot, nothing is freshly cooked. Don’t give them a penny.

Went here to celebrate one of my daughters graduation. Catered for our mixed family group. Great service, food was delicious, especially pan-fried salmon. Would highly recommend.

This has to be our most go to restaurant... The food is always good quality, the wine is amazing & the staff are fantastic. At some point I think the chef may have an 'off day '... But he never seems to!!

Overall a disappointing experience. Lovely atmosphere but the 6 of us were located in a booth that felt quite cramped and awkward. It felt more like we were at a cafe rather than a more up market restaurant Waitress was lovely and engaging but in the end, we asked for the service charge to be removed from our bill as 4 of us had sirloin steaks that we barely warm and one of us had oysters that were so cold that the waitress offered to ask the chef to do some more for her so that she could at least get some enjoyment from her meal. We did intend to have dessert but decided to just ask for the bill and move on and enjoy the rest of our evening as the experience had ended up being rather mediocre. A real shame as I have had a nice meal here before which is why I suggested it.

Hade a 40th birthday here was exelent the staff are just wonderful happy to help really nice place to have a meal the food is exelent although a little pricey the decor is lovely and the lighting just adds to the atmosphere

Never been here before. French brasserie. Booked table online & got text reminder few days before to confirm or cancel. Was attendIng Bournemouth pavilion for 7.30pm show so booked table for 6pm. Was able to access menu on booking so mum could see what was suitable to eat. We parked outside Bournemouth pavilion & crossed the road & walked short distance to restaurant. We had cheese souffle, chicken liver pate, scallops & salmon main. All were delicious & not too large in size. I think the staff know people in at this time are attending Bournemouth pavilion so the service was prompt. On arrival we were told table was upstairs (this was not mentioned in online booking), we declined as mum has a stick & promptly got found a downstairs table for 2. Excellent. Busy on this occasion but the tables were not squashed together. No photos of food I'm afraid as attendee not keen on mobiles at the table. So 3 starters, 1 main, (mum eats like a bird so had starter for a main also), 1 coke & water, service fee included was £54. Tasty food, excellent service & lovely brasserie. Will go again in May 2025 when my son & I once again venture to Bournemouth pavilion.

One of my favourite restaurants in Bournemouth. Food is delicious and staff very friendly. Recently booked a table for birthday dinner. Didn’t expect decorations on the table and candles on my desert. It was very nice! I do recommend this place 🤗

Cote used to be a firm favourite in fine dining however seems to have slipped more towards a casual dining experience loosing tue personal touch and doesn't seem any different from most other restaurants.

Always love the food here, speedy service and pleasant. Also don’t feel rushed, unlike other places.

Delicious menu, caters for gluten free really well (my coeliac husband is reassured eating here). They're really kind, definitely a special occasion brunch or date night sort of pricing.

We are visiting England for the U.S and came in to celebrate our anniversary without a reservation. The team here is extremely hospitable, attentive, friendly and helpful with recommendations. Good menu options at sensible priced. It is a decent place. Did not feel extraordinary, It was sometimes challenging to get waiter's attention. The food was good, but I have seen better for the price ;-).

Visited this menu several times now and always have a good time. tonight was a bit different as after enjoying the Crab Maison and the Pan fried Trout I was presented with the bill which I noticed had missed off one of the 250ML Glasses of Wine I had, I mentioned to them and they represented the bill with the two glasses on however only charged me for a 125ML measure instead of 250ML as an appreciation of my honesty. I thought this was a nice touch and very good touch to customer service Well Done

We had an enjoyable meal here with excellent service from Kartik. Drinks and food were good. Location is ok, limited outdoor seating. The restaurant was a little quiet but the atmosphere was still good. The crispy pork belly was tasty and the portion size was good. My wife didn't rate the french onion soup and said she'd had better elsewhere.

I’ve had breakfast at Côte before and it was lovely but I went a couple weeks ago and the breakfast was a bit disappointing. I could actually count the number of beans on my plate, my sausage was shy of a chipolata, and the service was a bit cold. We came looking forward to a treat on a Sunday morning and left a bit disappointed.

Wow. Thank you. You made a 86th birthday so special for my client. Banger /display on table and candle in her dessert. The food was delicious and the service faultless as always. The set menu is great. Out waiter was so friendly and always checking everything was good. So sorry I've lost the paper with his name on. We booked Sunday 4th at 12.30 for 2 in the name of Sylvie. Every time we visit Bournemouth we go to Cote. The service the restaurant the food and drink are outstanding. I am so impressed with our latest visit I’ve had to come here to review. I had duck a l’orange for main and my partner had beef. The meat was cooked perfectly. Presented in the style you would expect from cote and left to enjoy the meal knowing if we needed anything our wonderful host Rosie was on hand. The restaurant is modern and very stylish. I love it here and I can be quite fussy about my food. No grumbles at all! Thank you to all for another special lovely evening made by you.

The food was excellent, French onion soup was very tasty. The steak frites with truffle fries was amazing and the mussels very fresh and flavoursome the white wine sauce was lovely. The staff here are very pleasant and nice great experience

I reviewed this place 5 years ago and said it was the best place for breakfast in Central Bournemouth. The food is still very good and the combo option for breakfast, including juice and hot drink, is exceptional value. However, on a recent visit, we felt that the service has gone seriously downhill. This may be due to the replacement of hard-working Europeans with disinterested Brits! Staff were continuously talking amongst themselves while we required service and needed summoning. Not good - hence the overall rating falls from 5 stars to 3. There are now better options for breakfast in Central Bournemouth and The Ivy is apparently now back on the way!

I love their meal, it was properly cooked with attention to details,their service was great too. I was there with three other guests and my baby.

Husband had the sirloin steak and said it was the best he’d ever tasted. I gad the Confit Duck and it was delicious

Ordered cooked breakfast, the food was not hot enough the quality of food was very poor, not fresh at all.. eggs full of water, sausage on the turn, beans not cooked(crunchy) potatoes wedges reheated. Bacon cooked days before. Not one item as advertised on menu. this establishment doesn’t offer value for money.waiting staff ok but didn’t take any of this seriously enough.

Great food and service (thanks Gianfranco). A bit ‘too busy’ especially if you’re being seated by the stairs, but once your table is changed (by the window) things become being much better. Yum onion soup, superb pork belly confit.

My husband and I visited whilst travelling for work. We had the steak deal, cote de boef, fries, 2 sides and a bottle of wine for £62. We didn't know what to expect given it was such a good deal. However, the food was exceptional! Our waiter Mate was also very attentive and gave excellent service. So worth a visit! It's the best Cote we've been to!

Usually have the steak, which is very nice. This time went for the burger. I can't remember what cheese was in there, but it didn't work. The flavour was too overpowering, think I will give that a miss next time, stick to the steak! My wife had salmon, which was very nice. We went on a Saturday evening, it was very quiet so not a lot of atmosphere. Staff very good as usual.

The price is slightly expensive, the seats are comfortable, and the dining table is wider, which makes dining more comfortable. It is also a good choice to visit occasionally.

Cote in Bournemouth lives up and exceeds expectations. Brilliant and friendly staff, excellent food and a great ambiance. Highly recommend.

We were greeted by the most polite lady at the door who was very welcoming. She sat us at the most perfect table to for our date night, right in the window and tucked away from the other diners! The server was accommodating and the food was perfect. A great steak!

Incredible restaurant. At first we got lost in the menu but waiter was super helpful in making the choice. The food was amazing, top-notch service and delicious drinks. Can’t recommend enough for a special night out

My girlfriend and I visited Cotê for our 5 years and I must say, we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cotê. Firstly, the food was absolutely excellent. It came piping hot and was extremely flavourful. I would recommend going for the French onion soup starter and the moules frites for mains. What made this experience even better was the service. I want to give a huge shout out to Patrick! He was warm and welcoming as well as giving us all the information we needed to make the right choices for us on the menu. He even recommended the cheeses that I got for my dessert. Overall, I would recommend cotê to anyone looking to go for a meal with their partner, family or friends!

I visited for lunch today. The ham and sourdough starter with pickles was a joke. Tiny little portion, ham was tough and pickles were just two small thin slices. Main course of grilled chicken fillet with mushroom sauce and fries. The sauce was gloopy and not very nice, fries were fine. They tried to garnish the dish with a few droopy tiny salad leaves, why bother? I had lemon and raspberry sorbet to finish which tasted fine. I won’t be visiting this restaurant again, the food is not nice at all and the portions are too small.

Was really looking forward to my first visit to Cote. Started with a coffee which to say the least was not the best. Had the Eggs Royale with a side of spinach, the eggs royale was lovely but the spinach was really salty barelt edible

I visited Cote with a friend who had never been before, I have been quite a few times, and my friend was very impressed on her first visit. Every time I come to Cote-the atmosphere is a good vibe, the staff are very welcoming and attentive, and the food and drinks are always great. This day we tried the steak soirée, and both ordered a steak, a side and a sauce and had the bottle of wine for free as per their offer! They allowed us to try both the house white and house Rose so I could let my friend choose which one to have for the bottle. The food was delicious and we had a cocktail after. The wine was lovely. I couldn’t fault the service , I will definitely be coming back as always. Also last weekend I also did the champagne breakfast which was ultimately divine. The champagne was delicious and the breakfast was just perfect. Thank you so much for being local in Bournemouth, as every time visit, I leave so happy.

I went for a meal in late March and the meal was disappointing. The white wine was served at room temperature and the chicken was dry, as well as the potatoes being incorrect (roast instead of confit). This was brought to the attention of the waitress at the time, the issues were not addressed nor resolved. I sent an email detailing the issues I faced, and there has been no response two week's later.

Best breakfast ever !! Lovely and humble staff; great quality freshly made breakfast with great choice for vegans 🌱; toasts are lighter than air !

Met an old University friend. It was the first time we'd met in 16 years!! We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance in the restaurant which allowed us to talk and hear each other without lots of background noise. She was suitably impressed with the whole "Cote" experience too. We enjoyed a cocktail to start, followed by the Prix Fixe menu for our first two courses - just the right amount of food. Sadly, the chocolate mousse was sold out, but the lovely waiter suggested we try the main menu. It was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Many thanks

I walked in for breakfast with a very large suitcase, and there were plenty of available tables on street level. The waitress tried to show me to a table up some stairs. I asked if I could sit in the corner as I had a suitcase and couldn't lift up the few steps. She appeared annoyed at my request and reluctantly gave me a table. She walked off, never seen again to take my order. This is the worst Cote I've been in, and I've been in loads. There was a French lady she was nice and a gentleman, he was polite. I wouldn't go to this branch again. I should have walked out and gone to Maravi across the road.

Came here last Friday with 10 friends to celebrate my birthday. Had a fabulous evening. Food was excellent and so was the house wine - as well as being great value. Bearing in mind there were 11 of us, service was spot on with all the food arriving at the same time. We all had a really great evening. Thank you x

Booked for two the previous day. Arrived 6.15. The menu had been changed that day, which we'd been told, but assured the fish would be on the menu. Restaurant very busy with pre-theatre diners - no fish, no salad as advertised. Pancakes fir dessert very poor

A beautiful place with incredible food. The mushroom bourguignon is to die for! There may not be many veggie/vegan options but the ones they do have are great. We were served by such a friendly waiter who was so helpful and she just made the evening even better.

Hi Côte! My wife and I eat the Mother’s Day special. Can’t find it on the list but it was incredible!!! Soooo delicious!! Everything cooked to perfection Your friendly waiter and waitress made us both feel comfortable and accepted and the atmosphere was a delight! We will be coming back!
