Silver Lounge in Bournemouth

Not good I had a breakfast today not good bacon was burnt eggs were under cooked staff not very friendly. When I had a breakfast last week on Wednesday totally different not sure if the person who served me was the owner but the food was great and the service was excellent. Saturday there was a young lad who took my order not friendly at all. Very disappointed

Ordered a takeaway breakfast from Uber. They literally missed a breakfast. No excuse. Avoid this place

My family and I received a very warm welcome upon our entrance. The staff are nice and friendly which is not always the norm for places which serve Caribbean Cuisine. There was a good variety of delicious food which caters to all tastes and my children loved the child friendly facilities that were provided for their entertainment. I’ll definitely be returning.

Lovely warm atmosphere and breakfast was just what the doctor ordered to get me through a dreary UK winter morning. Would definitely recommend.

Just had breakfast The toast on the toastie was not cooked either the cheese looks like they slapped two bits of bread together put cheese and sausage in then grilled one side The bacon on the other breakfast was so fatty They charged £4.50 for one hash brown two bacon two cold tomatoes This made me sick it was disgusting food Bring back terry and Sonja there food was brilliant What have they done to the cafe since those two have gone We will never return

Zero friendliness or customer service . The food wasn't great value for what it was but it was decent enough, the fry ups looked nice. I don't expect service like in the Ritz but a smile and basic manners would make all the difference and goes a long way. But the atmosphere was not nice, it was staggeringly unfriendly, we were made to feel very unwelcome. The rude and sullenly girl behind the till acted like we had walked into her living room and asked for a free lunch. Bizarre experience, terrible.

Visit fairly regularly for either excellent all day breakfast. Cooked to order.or a fantastic roast dinner.piping hot.Good portion of tasty food. Served Tuesday to Sunday. Friendly staff. Good value prices.

This very basic café has been in Moordown for as long as I can remember, but until this visit I had never darkened their doors. I enjoyed a very tasty and nicely-cooked 'all-day breakfast' which came with a generous helping of toast and a decent cup of tea. No fancy coffees or frills here, but if you want basic good grub, this is the place to eat.

I attempted to have a weekend breakfast here recently. I sat on the table for 20 minutes but was never attended to, another gentleman there was complaining that he had waited over 1/2 hour for his food, another family was there and I can only assume they experienced the same as there two children was very restless and bored. I have been here on two other occasions where although the food was ok, its certainly not worthy of a great review I'm afraid. Its shame as I was led to believe that this Cafe has a great history and reputation . I looks as something may have changed.

To give it 5 stars is not to suggest it’s a classy, top dining experience, but more that it delivers what you’d want from this type of place - cheap, tasty British “greasy spoon” cafe nosh. We once took our HK family here when they were on holiday, & despite all the classy places we’d dined in, this was the only cafe they wanted to return to.

Been to this cafe for brekkies and lunch . Always great food and nice and fresh ( unlike supermarket cafes and large chain pubs....) staff really friendly with good banter . plenty of choice if veggie too!

Perfect breakfast. Well cooked. A wonderful hangover cure. Mushrooms and fried potatoes are amazing and eggs always have beautiful runny yolks. And they are completely cool about making a bespoke brekkie to your own taste. Once you go it will always be your cafe......

Not much more to say other than, if you want a truly proper fried breakfast with all the good stuff, your search is over! Amazingly low prices and decent, basic food. Simple.

Hombre hambriento, te prepara para el día, buena relación calidad-precio, puede estar muy concurrido, selección de periódicos para leer, distribución anticuado pero limpio y, si no paractical un buen precio para el desayuno precio este es el lugar!

Han sido unas cuantas veces, y nunca tuvimos una mala comida. Principalmente para un desayuno, de que él puede tener una versión de hombre, dos de todo bascically Ambos son muy buenos y la relación calidad-precio. También he sido por un asado de almuerzo, que también recomiendo.

As usual amazing food fantastic service. Compared to other establishments of similar I'll I.e. Binnies and Winston's the silver lounge is much better.

Had such a great time at the Silver Lounge. Really good price, really good eggs. Definitely will be coming back again. Sonia is the owner and she brings the charm to this family owned cafe!

My favourite place for a full English breakfast which is served all day. Lovely fried bread, friendly service and great value for money!

Fui en esta mañana, para un guiso, después de recibir una recomendación de un amigo. El servicio era bueno y la comida llegó caliente y no grasosa, lo cual es una ventaja. Era agradable tener la opción de pan frito como muchas cadenas no tienen normalmente esta opción.

El personal siempre es amable, la comida es siempre fresca y 🍲 las raciones son siempre generosas y en numerosas ocasiones que darán ☕ ☕ té y café sin coste extra. Bien merece una visita.

Usually come for a breakfast which I rate highly.. Perfect if you are looking for a traditional fry up (definitely not a healthy full English ) actually had a sandwich here the other day for a change and it was spot on proper old school family run greasy spoon

I am from Bournemouth, and love a fry up. This is the best breakfast in Bournemouth, not a bad price and very friendly. Get in and try it you won't be disappointed!!

Visited here for brunch in April 2015 with our daughter. Service was awful, food very poor quality and the prices are average (at best) to high. Overall not really a lot of positives which is a shame as on previous visits we had enjoyed this cafe - will never return, would recommend using Binnie's just down the road - far better than silver lounge

I discovered this place as a breakfast stop off while my car was having its MOT done at the neighbouring Malvern Garage. It's a traditional family run cafe offering, with plenty of seating and a friendly infoal service.On my last visit I tried the flagship He-Man breakfast. This consists of two fried eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, 2 hash browns, bread and butter, toast or fried bread, baked beans and/or tomatoes and a mug of tea/coffee all for £5.45. I was not hungry again until tea time!Some optional extras are available e.g. mushrooms. If only smoked streaky bacon was added to the options list. Pretty please?If I could change one thing I would swap the vinegary Happy Shopper ketchup (price says £1 on the bottle) and instead use the vastly superior quality Lidl ketchup that costs just 69p.Cafes of this calibre are increasingly harder to find so check it out.

This isn't my first visit, I've been returning here at least once or twice a month for the past year or so. I used to travel all over the town to different restaurants and cafe for lunches on my days off, but now I have a local place that surpasses all the others.Service is always pleasant, I get a smile every time, and the food is always hot and freshly cooked. On this occasion I plumped for the roast beef and all the trimmings although I have had a lot of the other meals on offer this is my favourite dish, apart from the attractive woman behind the counter, this is the only one on offer ;) . The plate is always full and the food is lovely and home cooked. The staff are friendly and helpful with all the customers and the pricing is about what you'd expect to pay for meals in many places but the portions are better here, therefore the Silver Lounge is much better value. Situated on the main street, the cafe is a large well lit place with a nice atmosphere and plenty of seating. I've been several times before and I look forward to my next visit

Have visited this restaurant/café many a time and the service given by the staff are very friendly.As for the food it is worth a four star rating, hot and at a good price, the quality and amount served is great. The menu selection covers everything from a small breakfast to a roast with everything in between.All I can say on this restaurant/café is don't take my word for it try it yourself.
