We stayed at this premier inn after seeing a show at the pavilion theatre, which is really convenient as it just across the road. However I would not feel safe staying here on my own as lots of drunks and druggies loitering outside bothering people as the walked past. Our room was nice and comfortable with everything we needed. Only bad thing I would say is the lift. Only 1 working which says it holds 3 people (you will be touching shoulders!). There isno way you would get a wheelchair in there or a buggy and luggage. Overall for our needs and the price we paid, I think we got what we paid for and was happy with that.

Drunks and druggies on the steps outside, and rooms literally no bigger than a closet. Breakfast was cold and overcooked. The only good thing was the price and the location. Will not be staying again when for £20 extra I can get the Hilton up the road.

Was told there was a 98% chance of getting a balcony room on the phone if I put in a request. No balcony room. Everyone was asking for balcony rooms so the 98% chance of getting one was a lie. We did have a sea view ish room but it was above the balcony of a bar so very noisy. To be fair when I went to reception to ask what time the bar finished, they did go next door to ask them to shut the balcony. The hotel is located 4 doors away from a YMCA so lots of homeless people hanging around and people with tags on their ankles 😳. I did not feel at all safe going outside on my own My partner was unwell during our trip and when I ask reception about the hospital, they just said it’s a long way away. It was a 10 minute drive when I googled it. They offered no help.

great rooms, but the balcony is so rusty that the children could get injured. That's a shame. The breakfast crowd was a bit interesting. The location is generally great, but unfortunately drugs were injected in the neighboring house entrance. The hotel recommended us a great car park for five pounds a day. thanks for that

Visitado para la cena. Sentado rápidamente cerca de las ventanas (que estaban sucias). Nuestro entrante de champiñones Garlick era duro y de mal gusto. Paid extra for higher spec room, fridge didn't work !! There are 2 lifts( 1 carries up to 10 people, the other 3 persons) The larger lift was out of order for our whole stay, and the small one broke down too, for a while. Which meant my wife who has severe mobility problems had walk down the stairs from the fourth floor. Luckily it working again by the time we got back. Will only use this hotel again if absolutely necessary.

Purchased the so-called continental breakfast, found it to be pots of low-fat yoghurt, defrosted berries, various cereals, and bread and cake. On a low-carb diet, I had hoped for maybe full fat Greek yoghurt, a fresh fruit salad, and cold meats and cheese. Didn't feel £8+ for a small carton of not very nice yoghurt, and a spoon of defrosted berries was good value for money.

Customer service was awful and not welcoming at all. Waiting time to check in was awful. Got there 10 minutes early but was told i was too early so had to wait then queue up again behind several other people which then added further time for the sake of 10 minutes! . Only one person doing check in at peak time of check in. View out the window of our room was miserable. I asked if I could have a balcony room and pay more but was told that can't happen as all rooms are allocated digitally when you book so couldn't change the room we were in. Then at 2am in the morning the couple in the room above were having the most serious and frightening argument, slamming doors and dropping/throwing things around the room until 4.30am. Hardly slept a wink. Huge disappointment and not what I usually expect from premier Inn. There was nothing Premier or Plus about this hotel appart from the convenience of the location! I would have made a complaint on check out but that had a queue too and quite frankly I was so stressed I just wanted to get out of there so I just left our key card on the desk. Not what you want when you wake up on your birthday!

Opened the door room 510 to a Premium Premier Inn room in Bournemouth Central. Filthy carpet - stained, marks on every wall - damage, holes in plaster. Stains on the armchair and footstool. The desk chair was almost worn through across the top of the back rest. The bathroom features a toilet and toilet seat that were stained and overdue replacement. Was it clean? Impossible to tell. We went back to reception, complained about 510 and were given the key to room 406 - another Premium room. Room 406. The bed was half made. The carpets not vacuumed and once again stained with goodness knows what. Back to reception. Clearly the staff know the rooms are a disgrace as neither complaint about the rooms were investigated or challenged. The final act was yet to come. “Can I have refund?” No. We aren’t allowed to refund you. You have to go online or call. But you can’t call until Monday. And as I discovered you can’t use online as your reservation time has already passed. But it does say online IF my refund application is successful - I’m guessing there is some sort of quiz? - the refund can take 15 days. Almost every card handling service take 5 days. Result? I’m out of pocket for another hotel. Wasted time booking, checking in, changing rooms and then leaving. Find another hotel and check in again. No doubt several hours on the phone to “customer services”. Premier Inn “Rest Easy” – just not in Bournemouth Central. From their website: Committed to cleanliness. To make sure we keep everyone safe, we have a rigorous, daily cleaning regime - an enhanced hygiene promise we call Premier Inn CleanProtect.

Charged nearly £10. I ate it as I was hungry but it was pretty average.Unbelievable that a restaurant by the sea, with access to fresh fish, can't be bothered to source quality ingredients for it's customers.Premium price / minimum quality.Go to the chippy or Wetherspoons up the road, who serve better food at half the price.Avoid if you have the option.

Ate here as part of a business stopover.Booked the 'meal deal'.Had Tempura Prawns to start (£5.99).When they arrived it all looked fine. However on closer inspection they were HALF a king prawn in tempura batter. There were 5 of them.So basically £6 for 2.5 prawns. I also suspect a very long tour of duty in the freezer as they tasted of nothing.Main course from the 'battle of the burgers' menu. The 'El Diablo' burger. Described as hot with all sorts of hints of buckets of ice water being required to quench the taste inferno etc etc.It was nothing of the sort.No heat - Jalapeno's missing. A couple of strands of grilled sweet pepper, sad bit of lettuce, half a slice of tomato, watery standard burger sauce. It was pathetic. Barely enough fries, soggy and under cooked. 'House Slaw' - basically sliced raw veg with a pathetic drizzle of something wet.Bearing in mind this was £12.99 - a complete rip off.Burger King or McDonalds do a much better burger at a third of the price. Better presented, better cooked, much better value for money.Very disappointed with this food. Incredibly expensive, poorly presented and not as described. My advice - go to Wetherspoons down the road. Better food at a third of the price with a free drink. Or McDonalds. Or Burger King.Service was fine & this is the only reason I scored it 2 stars.Avoid.

We stay at this Premier inn fairly often and always opt for dinner here as its not only convenient but has great views from the bar and a nice ambience. The menu is the standard Whitbred fayre but for the price the choice is fine. We all opted for the meal deal including breakfast and its just great value for money.Three of us opted for steaks and one for lasagne and no complaints from any of us. Steaks were cooked as we asked, the starters were good and although desserts are tempting we were simply too full to do anything other than order another glass of wine! Service was friendly with just the right amount of time between courses. Breakfast this morning was one of the best help yourself buffets we've come across. The cooked items were fresh and well cooked whilst the choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cake etc was huge and although tempting we didn't attempt to try it all! So often a good breakfast is let down by lack lustre coffee and tea but not here its good quality, hot and you can't resist a refill!!

This is a lovely old Art Deco building and the rooms are large. Check in is always easy. I have stayed here a number of times as I have family in Bournemouth. There is a (pay and display) parking lot right opposite the hotel. As long as there is not a play/theatre/show at the venue opposite or you're not arriving at prime shopping time, you should easily get a parking. Breakfast is as per normal premier inn standard which I find good. Cooked breakfasts are excellent. Staff are always attentive and seem very hard working. I have always had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea front. You have to pinch yourself to believe you are in a premier inn given the location and the wonderful view. Easy walking distance to the seafront and the shops. The only quibble we had was that the bar wasn't always open when we thought it would be but when we have stayed here the hotel has always been very quiet which is probably why.

The hotel room was good. Very clean and fabulous balcony and view. Only quibble was lighting - very dark, and no overhead lights to help. We had a formal meal in the restaurant which was pretty awful. The mushroom risotto was wet and sloppy with about 3 mushrooms. The chocolate desert was basically a small bowl of chocolate spread - really - and totally inappropriate. Very disappointing.

My friend and I stayed here to attend an event at the Pavilion so it is perfectly located being directly across the road from the venue. The check-in/out is pain-free and the staff in all areas are extremely helpful, friendly whilst still being professional. Room was spacious with a balcony and sea view, bathroom good standard and everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent value and all the food was piping hot and fresh - coffee was really good too which is something a lot of hotels cannot get right in my eyes! Would recommend this hotel for either a short or longer term stay.

Have stayed at this premier inn frequently, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is good and the rooms towards the top of the hotel are very comfy. Will no doubt be staying there again soon and looking forward to it.

Booked a room in this impressive Art Deco hotel well in advance, on the saver deal to coincide with a gig at the BIC. Friendly staff, spacious room - even managed to get a sea view despite only paying £39 for the night. Didn't get time to try out the restaurant but had a relaxing glass of wine after the gig in the relaxed bar area which is open til midnight. For parking, would recommend the spacious car park in Upper Hinton Road. 24 hours for £4 and only a 5-10 min walk away. There is another car park slightly closer in Hinton Road but that's £12 for 24 hours. Look forward to staying here again for a "weekend" away.

i am regular user of Premier inn and its restaurant, This hotel is little different to regular premier inns , rooms are bigger and with sea view, great staff working there is also great specially two twin sisters so forgot the name , but the only issue i would like to bring is lack of staff , there only three person serving the whole restaurant which affected the service in the restaurant.

Spent 2 nights at this premier inn, 3rd year on the trot, still cannot find fault, lovely quiet room, unfortunately didn't get a sea view room this time but still a lovely room. My only gripe would be at breakfast there was a lot of tables not cleared so looked a bit of a bomb site, staff very friendly & polite

Good service, prompt and with some care. Only criticism is the UK staff are very quick but so quick they don't appear to be as interested as their European colleagues.

Ate evening meal in Thyme restaurant. Pretty good menu - had grilled salmon - with chips, tomatoes and mushrooms! Seems like a strange configuration - but actually it was really nice - food for thought! Food was well cooked and to our liking.Drinks at the bar were not cheap! So it was wine by the bottle which was ok.Staff are seriously overworked in the restaurant - but they really tried very hard to ensure everything was right.Overall and above average reasonably priced meal in pleasant surroundings. Premier Inn needs to allocate more staff here.

Stayed here for three nights and couldn't have wished for a better and more accommodating hotel experience! The staff really did go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy for the duration of our stay, and nothing was too much trouble! The facilities were fantastic- luxurious decor, comfortable rooms and a brilliant choice of dining facilities. The food was excellent and really good value for money- I felt like I was staying in a 5 star luxury hotel!

We enjoyed a late dinner here five years ago so we decided to return this year. The service was attentive but the wait for food was long. Apart from the BBQ chicken wings, the food was not very good. Three of our party opted for the lobster bisque. Two of them didn't eat it. It wasn't very nice. With soggy batter and slimy insides, the salt and pepper squid was so bad that we had it removed from the bill. Although, I'd have preferred to have seen it completely eradicated from the planet. Great views of the beach. Ideal location for drinks and chicken wings. The main menu best avoided.

❌ AVOID!!!! ❌ Checked in and asked the guy on reception to see the room before we paid, room was clean and good for what we needed. We were going straight back out so dropped our bags and used the loo before going down to pay for the room. We took less than 5mins- we got a BANG on the door to be greeted with The owner-AGGRESSIVE, RUDE & IGNORANT! Telling us to pay for our room! We went down and I tried to ask him why he was so aggressive and rude and he continued…. I think he thought he could intimidate us as we are all female. We ate breakfast the morning we arrived and it was awful. Greasy. I have given the room 3 stars- it was clean and tidy and comfortable beds. I WILL NOT EVER go back! Warning to all women- the owner is clearly a man who thinks he can treat women like that! Also- the bath water was brown!!!! And it’s very noisy in the morning. ❌ AVOID! ❌

Visited on a trip out from Bournemouth. Appeared to be a family run concern with staff having knowledge of a number of the patrons. Although it was getting close to closing time we were treated to a lovely cream tea with a decent sized pot of tea. Weather on the day was not condusive to being outside, however there was plenty of outside eating space with views of the river. I would expect plenty of activity on the river in the warmer months.
