Had a great roast yesterday! Complimentary butternut squash soup to start, both mine and my husbands roasts were amazing! Staff were super friendly and attentive! A local place doing it right!

Tucked away in the courtyard of The Wellington Pub in Cromer is a delightful restaurant called The Smoke Kitchen. Decor was tasteful, food delicious and not too busy at lunchtime. Definitely worth another visit!

Amazing food! Definitely worth a visit for something surprising and delicious. Someone in the kitchen really knows what they are doing with flavours. Staff were helpful and approachable. The courtyard seating is plentiful and a welcome retreat from the seafront sun. Absolutely wonderful.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday. We had burger, Singapore crab and a mixture of different tapas. All were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and the pooch enjoyed her ice cream. Service was really friendly

We had a lovely meal here. Spiced belly pork with a tabbouleh salad and ham egg and chips. Both meals delicious. The crispy hens egg was gorgeous - a soft boiled egg with a coating 👌 Waiter friendly and obliging. The food is quality over quantity but enough to satisfy, such delicious flavours and value for the type of food served. The meals are cooked to order so don't expect 'fast food'. The desserts were sundaes of combinations we'd not come across before and were lovely. Would love to go there again on our next visit to Cromer.

There is no ketchup which is ridiculous as most children like it with their meals. Some staff are lovely and some are extremely rude. Red wine selection is awful and the chips are over cooked. The children’s menu could have more options and are very small. Should have gone to the chippy.

So we’re visiting Cromer and decided to have lunch in the attractive courtyard of The Smokehouse. There were no menus on the tables so I popped inside to get one. I went in, stood where it said ‘wait here to be seated’ and a male waiter walked straight past me, then two waitresses walked past and completely ignored me, then stood and had a chat together right in front of me, one having a cuppa and one complaining about customers eating too much ketchup. Then the male waiter was about to walk past again so I stood in front of him and politely asked if there were any menus as we were sat outside. He said rudely, all mine are out so you’ll have to go into the pub. No ‘good afternoon’, no ‘One minute and I will get you one’, as you might expect. Ok, so at this point I hasn’t even realised the Smokehouse was part of the pub but they’re clearly the same business. So I walked across the courtyard and to the pub. On ordering it transpired that of the two children’s menu options they didn’t have one of them, although to be fair they did offer an alternative. I ordered and waited. It was a long wait. Eventually the food turned up and although the adults was ‘ok’ ( not good enough to want to go back) the children’s dish was TINY. Literally on a saucer, with about 10 chips and two tiny half width fish finger things. I checked the menu and it said suitable up to the age of 11! No way, maybe suitable up to age 5!! My child doesn’t have a particular big appetite but had to go back to our campsite and cook him another meal, which sort of defeated the point of eating out. To summarise, poor service in the Smokehouse with grumpy staff who don’t want to help or make eye contact, average food and very poor kids meals.

Had lunch in the lovely little restaurant today. Staff were super helpful and pleasant and the food was absolutely delicious. 5⭐️ for both food and staff

From when we walked in, it was excellent service, great menu, and was expecting a lot from the menu, which it didn’t let down at all! Food was amazing at such great value! Couldn’t recommend enough and 100% will be coming back!

Fantastic place & fabulous meal of crab salad plus separate salad very pretty with the violas on it & best tasting salad I’ve ever had. A brisket Chilli was amazing. Very poor service so much so we left because we waited so long for someone to take our order. Despite being told we were the next in line to order food they then proceeded to take an order from an adjacent table that arrived 15 mins after us. The place was very busy but they had enough waiting staff but they were just not being organised properly.

We visited the Wellington Pub upon a visit to Cromer, and had an excellent lunch! We sat outside and even when it rained a little the umbrellas covered us. We both had the burgers which were really tasty, and a good portion size. Even though it was busy we didn’t have to wait too long. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Walked into the pub and is a general seaside watering hole!! we had a table booked for sunday lunch, and I have to say it was amazing. Great value for money, and the food was so so nice... the best roast dinner i have had in a very long time. staff were fab too would def return thank you

Having visited this pub I can fully understand why pubs have to close. Only in there 30 minutes and observed the young lady serving food then hugging some customers who from the conversation weren't from the same household. Several tables with multiple households no social distancing at all and hugging and greeting each other as they arrived. Also male bar staff all stood shoulder to shoulder again no social distancing and one even had his mask under his chin. Another customer seen to enter and used the hand gel but did not sign in and was not asked to. Made me feel very uneasy, a totally different experience to my visit to the king's head in Cromer the previous evening.

Just popped in for a quick drink. Staff doing table service and following corvid 19 social distance rules. Didn’t eat here but when the food came out to other Cushitic looked lovely. It looks fairly old inside keeping all characters from times gone by. Would go back and try meals another time.

Lovely pub/restaurant that has made it all feel very safe from a covid point of view.Food was really good and excellent value. A reduced menu due to covid but still really good. I had the pulled pork which was really tasty, served with coleslaw, chips and fresh chilli. My wife had the smoked haddock macaroni cheese which she said was really good too. Just £9.99 for each main course so excellent value.We had two G & T’s in the bar afterwards and the bill was only £6.80 so again, really good value considering some pubs charge that for one!!Special mention to Carman our waitress who really was excellent at her job and very friendly.

So impressed! Stumbled across this place and we weren’t disappointed. The nachos were the best I’ve ever had - homemade and topped with huge amounts of amazing toppings! The pulled pork is incredible! The service was so friendly. Highly recommend

We were unsure what to expect as this isn’t the style of restaurant we would normally go to, and first impressions wasn’t good. The menu was quite limited and that was decreased even further with a few items not available. However, that’s were the negatives end, the staff were lovely, the food we ordered was good and plenty of it for the price.

After walking past a seeing it didn’t look too busy at 1pm we choose to eat here having a 3 year old in our group of 6, sat down inside as weather was hit and miss, waited 15 mins for drink order to be taken... another 20 mins for food order to be taken.. tables around us received their food before us.. annoying especially after waiting so long and having a young child who had waited over an hour to eat... food finally arrived after being in the building for well over an hour and 15 mins...seemed very very under staffed for a Saturday afternoon in the heart of Cromer.

Staying in Cromer for a week. We were in here for drinks every day. Decided to eat here on our last night because the menu looked so good. I had the “dirty fries with 20 hour slow cooked brisket” (£6) with a side of “pit beans” (£3). My wife had the home made (and they definitely were) tacos with pulled pork, sour cream, salsa and guacamole (£10). OMG. When it arrived we were shocked by the size of it. Neither of us finished our meals. Could have shared one really. The taste was out of this world. Absolutely delicious, everything. Service all week has been really friendly, polite and professional. Absolutely the place to head for if you’re in Cromer.

Recommended by a friend as a good spot for lunch we were not disappointed. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food very good. Enjoyed my fried chicken as did my wife her nachos. Dogs also very welcome.

Walked past this restaurant and it smelt amazing so decided to book and go back the following day, did not disappoint the food was amazing and what a great price to, the service was excellent, will definitely come back when up this way again

We visited this pub a few times during our week away and found the welcome amazing, especially given we had 2 very large dogs with us. The efforts of all the staff to ensure a warm welcome was a delight, however the 2 standout guys were Woody and Calum who we found to be proper gents. Defo worth a visit (with or without) your 4 legged friend .... well done and thank you.
