Sunday roast is really really good as a vegetarian , I would highly recommend it . This beautiful spot, gets super busy so book in advance. Definitely worth a visit as the roast is tasty 👍

Sunday roast is very good and good value but service was appalling. Waited 40 minutes for the first bottle of wine to be served. then nearly 2 hours before the roasts came. Manager apologised and said he'd remove the service charge. Not much of a bonus as I'd have removed it myself. When the bill arrived they hadn't removed the service and had added an extra bottle of wine! Real shame as it's a pleasant spot with nice (if incompetent) staff, live music was very good too. Won't be back.

Went for dinner last night at The Weir. Its been a long time since we were last there and were pleasantly surprised by the difference. A lot of work has gone into making this a very nice pub with a great menu. The food was extremely tasty and somewhat different to normal pub food. A very enjoyable evening. Thanks to all at The Weir. We will be back.

A fairly regular visitor to this pub only living across the road from it and we are so lucky to be able to call it our local. Always fantastic delicious food and friendly staff. 5 stars every time.

The choice of foods on the menu is amazing and their Sunday Roast is so good! You get a massive portion of food so I recommend sharing it with someone (that's what I did), and I love how they have a happy hour everyday! And thank you to Ryan for being a great house

Fodd eas incredible and fresh. Absolute quality. The staff were not trained well enough and a but slow. The food came out of the kitchen on perfect time.

What a lovely experience at this great place, tucked away from Market Place. Nice, clean and bright, with good atmosphere. Service was quick and attentive. Good selection of food and drinks. We couldn't stay long, so opted for the Fish and Chips, and the Pork Belly, washed down with a crisp white wine. The food was served quickly. My friend said the fish was delicious, with a crunchy and crisp batter. My pork belly was juicy and meaty, and a decent size too. Olivia was fabulous and looked after us. Great customer service. I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

What a gem of a place. My best mate from Scotland was down, so we booked in for a quick bite to eat at 5pm before heading off to watch David Gilmour at Royal Albert Hall. We were both buzzing about the concert, and our enjoyment was kept high with our experience. Great atmosphere, lovely environment, good menu, great food, and wonderful service from Olivia. My friend's fish and chips was great with crispy, crunchy batter. My pork belly was succulent, juicy and extremely enjoyable, all washed down with a crisp white wine. Great value for money. The Weir Bar has always been a good little place go to. The Roast was deliciously moist the chocolate brownie with salted caramel sauce was heaven. They have a good range of drinks..The Atmosphere and service was amazing.

Had a brilliant lunch, it was pretty quiet on a monday but did mean we had pick of the outside tables. Great location and views by the canal. Food was excellent, albeit slightly slow to arrive, and there were special cocktails this day. All our dishes looked impressive but obviously it’s about the taste and it did not disappoint. Our server Alfie was brilliant. Couldn’t do enough for us, kept checking everything was fine but not obtrusively and had good banter throughout. Highly recommended but I see it does get busy on a nice, sunny evening.

Went to a birthday celebration in the great big garden with the Weir very nearby. There was a tab at the bar so didn't have to buy drinks or food. A bit of a diamond in concrete new Brentford on Thames...

I feel biased to give praises to my very close family friend: Jason, who manages this gem of a property that is tucked away nicely from the hum-drum of Brentford High Road. For anyone seeking the tranquil serenity right on the waterfront of the River Brent, The Weir and it's very attentive, friendly staff (not just Jason) is what sets this hospitality venue apart from the rest. We will definitely return. Long may it continue ! Best.

i had the irish breakfast and was suprised at the poor quality of all the ingredients,it was tasteless and obviously using the cheapest sausage and bacon etc. my wife had the eggs benidict and it was cold and tasteless. this place used to be good but it seems like they are cost cutting to the detriment of the experience.

Excellent service from Hallum and great food although outdoor patio played very loud music and was smoky from cigarettes.

Booked ahead for a Sunday roast. Upon being seated we were forgotten about for about 20 minutes until I went inside to ask a server if we could have some menus. Eventually ended up ordering from another server who was collecting glasses over half an hour after being seated. The service improved when another member of staff came on who was more attentive. Sunday roast was just fine, vegetarian nut roast lacked seasoning and had a meagre drizzle of watery gravy. Partner’s chicken was better and our vegetables were cooked well. It was relatively good value for money too. The best part was being seated outside by the river. Overall a disappointing experience.

We came in for a drink and were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in West London! This is a lovely low key gorgeous pub on the canalside in Brentford. It’s a balmy Summery warm Sunday, DJ is playing some nice 80s music, people are outside eating (roast looks good and people say it’s excellent). I could just stay here all evening! The staff are attentive, polite, friendly, smiling…plus they do art classes on the premises. I’ll definitely be back!

Decent pub got something special on almost every night, good place for a social night.

food and drinks were great! service was okay but they messed up one of our orders. cocktails were nice and strong, and they had a deal for certain cocktails at £6!

Our server was fabulous it was very busy he always checked in on us and any request was greeted with a courtious smile.

A lovely evening in the garden with music and food. Great service from Callum even though the pub was busy. Cocktails were lovely :) 2 for 1 on pizzas was a bargain - the prawn pizza was the highlight! The Calamari was nice but the alioli needed a bit more flavour. The roast chicken was tasty and again a reasonable price. We will be back!

What an odd experience. Looked lovely from the outside but walked and the staff saw us but took a minute or two to ask if we were being served despite there being three staff members behind the bar. The staff need some proper training in customer service and interaction. They all looked bored and as though they begrudged having to serve us. They certainly springing out of bed to get to work!! Very odd and don’t think we will be coming back.

Great pub that is in a great position to make it your local bar. They say it's like walking through Narnias cupboard and it's exactly right, as you pass through which feels like a slightly upperclass restaurant you walk through a door into magical setting on the water, spacious with enough umbrellas to enjoy all types of weather. Food is good but not out of this world... the serves from a young lady helping outside was amazing, she is on the ball and always smiling... I would like to possibly see a unique dish on the menu that they only do that has something to do with the setting outside, even if it's just a Tuna Salad on the weir!! Would definitely make it a local if I lived in the area.

We found this hidden gem, after a last minute decision to have breakfast, before heading home from an overnight stay in Wembly. We found "The Weir" online, and decided to stop there. Parking directly outside was tricky as there were only a few parking spaces, so we parked in "The Butts" and accessed the pub by walking through "Market Place" (less than a 2 minute walk) It was beautiful day day and we sat outside in the charming garden that overlooked the River Brent. Fantastic food (Irish cooked breakfasts and Eggs Benedict) which came with tea or coffee. Great sized portions and good value for money. Hannah T and Callum ( staff) were friendly, enthusiastic and very professional. I highly recommend "The Weir" and give it 5 stars 🌟

I took my son here who is disabled and a hand full, the staff member who's name was Calumn ( I think)??, This man was so very helpful and understanding, He went out of his way to assist us. he was fantastic, the food which was a pizza for my son was very good , He ate it all which is not like him, So it must have been good thanks again will be back

A great location with a large decked area overlooking whats left of the river Brent. Didn't eat but the menu looked good and prices reasonable.

Nice gastropub with nice views of the river. The restaurant itself was old, but still very well maintained and clean. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite suit my taste, but the English aren't known for their cooking skills either.

The Weir bar is an absolute gem in Brentford and West London. Come and check out the new, extended waterside garden over a refreshing cocktail and chilled tunes playing every Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening. The food and staff are superb too!

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel compelled to on this occasion! Venue, layout, view (in the garden), food, drink options and staff, all amazing. However, just getting a basic drink order took absolutely ages because the bar staff could not keep up with demand. And it wasn't even full. In fact there were tables that were vacated and full of empty glasses that didn't get cleared for quite some time. It was a Saturday afternoon on a sunny day, so should not have been a surprise to have a busy pub. We ended up leaving as the queue went all the way to the main entrance, with the people at the front complaining about service!

Came here for drinks yesterday and service was awful. The queue for the bar was out the door and had to wait ages. Tables inside the pub weren’t cleared from the time we arrived to the time we left. They had run out of the right glasses & Prosecco was not cold. Such a shame because they have a great outdoor space and there seemed to be quite a few staff around but completely disorganised.

Busy summer Saturday and the staff are completely overwhelmed. There's a constant queue at the bar, tables left uncleared for hours. My food order was wrong (and addressed when I raised, thank you.) Prosecco served in 3 different sized glasses, no measure used. Bar staff are so overwhelmed and are making cocktails that it was a half hour wait for a drink and customers were starting to gripe at each other! Such a shame for a pub that does good food and has a lovely riverside garden with a DJ. I saw 6 groups of people leave because they weren't prepared to wait.

Amazing food. Shame about the service. Ordered 2 pizzas and pie and mash. Only 1 pizza came out and then I was questioned about whether I had ordered another pizza. The manager who served us definitely took an order for 2 pizzas as I asked for the pizza with mushrooms and he said yes the funghi one. Had to wait 20 mins for my pizza. By that time my husband and daughter had finished theirs. We also had to wait for cutlery. Queue at the bar was awful. Not enough staff. I also think I was overcharged as I paid 17.00 for a medium glass of rose and a vodka and orange juice. Again I questioned this but just got told the manager is busy. I would like to come back but the customer service needs to improve

Had a lovely lunch in The Weir today. The food was so good. The lady behind the bar was lovely, Hannah/ Anna if I recall correctly, and really looked after our table.

Excellent covered outdoor terrace with great food - Full Irish Breakfast for example;-) - charmingly served by Quincy. The Weir is a neighbourhood gem run fabulously well by Joanne and her team. Looking forward to heading back there ;-)

Very tasty Sunday roast. I had a pork belly roast. Good beer. Fair price. Although the live singing started, the singer looked very pretty and had a good voice but the choice of music wasn’t really right for Sunday pub day. Very depressing songs. We had to leave once we finished our food to go somewhere more cheerful.

Popped out with friends for sunday lunch and had a great time, the staff are very friendly and polite. The food was very good and well presented, we have been to eat at the Weir a couple of times before and the service has always been very excellent. Will be popping back soon.

Lovely green riverside beer garden, with a good selection of Sunday Roast at reasonable prices. When we visited there was a Latin singer singing a variety of songs.
