Amazing food and great service from Erica! Personal touch as always, so welcoming and friendly.

The menu and cocktails used to be better. They are still good quality and made well (staff are still great) but I preferred the flavours before.

Brilll absolutely great service and pleasant atmosphere.

Terrific local pub with a great canal side terrace - pizzas, DJ and different themes on certain nights. Super friendly staff and sitting outside listening to the Weir with a cool one in hand is a great pleasure.

Came here for dinner. Food was delicious and didn’t take too long to be served. The atmosphere was just right for a Wednesday evening - relaxed and comfortable. Our server Erica, was brilliant. She was really friendly, an expert on the menu and made us want to come back again soon! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Vegetarian breakfast was very good, some of the best eggs I have tried. Very fair prices and beautifully laid out pub. Dog friendly too. Service from Callum very good, will go again definitely 👍

We visited on a Thursday lunchtime for the “Oyster & Bloody Mary” deal. The food was fantastic and Hannah, who served us was extremely helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Would thorough recommend. Atmosphere was only 4 stars because unfortunately there were some very loud customers adjacent to us, but accept this is not anything that The Weir can do anything about.

Very pleasant evening especially because of the charming Erica who was our server. Very efficient and friendly Food was good not great but we would definitely return because of the location, the ambiance and the service The pub looks like it has had a bit of a makeover so it looks bright and fresh I had fish and chips which was a generous portion. Could have been a bit crispier but was still good .

Fabulous staff and wonderful view over the canal. Guitarist too loud. People want to be able to talk to each other. Better with NO music. Erica gave us such a welcome and such good service.

Restaurant is a little off the the main thoroughfare, but we were lucky enough to find it. Lovely atmosphere and Callum, the manager, couldn't have been nicer. We had a delicious roast chicken for lunch and Callum gave us a brief overview on the building's history. Who knew we has stumbled upon the painter, Williams Turner's, former abode? How cool? Definitely recommend coming here for a nice luncheon or dinner.

Found The Weir by asking a local man whilst visiting Brentford FC in a pub that didn’t serve food if he could recommend anywhere and he said straight off without hesitation “go to The Weir and thank me later” he was bang on it was a real treat! The whole experience was first class, the staff, the atmosphere and to top it off the food was great!! Will definitely be going again when in London

Brilliant pub with the best beer garden in brentford overlooking the water. When there’s a DJ or live music is the best time to go. Food is really good but can be quite a wait sometimes and they could do with some more non-alcoholic beers. Overall though, a super-friendly team, lovely cocktails, great Guinness, and one of the top locals and again beer garden perfection.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday last Sunday for a Roast lunch. Food (as always here) was superb, a delicious roast, beautifully presented with a lovely selection of veg, nice Romanian wine - it’s nice to see different options here for wine. Erica was charming and cheerful - we had great service from her. We’ve been coming here for decades and the food gets better and better. A local favourite place and are always excited to attend. Their Pizzas are also better than “the best in London” restaurant in Chiswick in my opinion and service is cheerful rather than indifferent!

Nial was the best but Erica what above and beyond hospitality was great and the atmosphere was a vibe especially on a Friday night will definitely recommend

Impeccable Sunday roast, our new absolute go to now on. All the individual food items were unique in flavour and gravy not rationed! Phils acoustic songs make it also of a Sunday afternoon. Attentive service by all staff and lovely ambience.

We had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at the Weir on Sunday. The roast was amazing and would highly recommend. Callum and the team were very friendly and looked after us so well. We will be back !!

Very nice, dog friendly pub, went for a Sunday roast lunch with friends. Good food, decent portions, decent prices as well and very nice staff. It got pretty busy after 2 pm, but was pretty chilled and relaxed before then. Best thing about it was live music, a very talented guitarist and singer. Really made a difference, I really wish more pubs would encourage live music and promote artists. We will definitely come again for the music.

Sunday roast is really good, as a vegetarian , I would highly recommend it . This beautiful spot, gets super busy so book in advance. Definitely worth a visit as the roast is so tasty!

Lovely pub and pub garden with a decent food and drinks menu. This was my first visit and what stood out head and shoulders above the rest was the service. Callum and his team provided us with exceptional service. Something that is extremely rare in London these days. I don't live in the area, but will be back. Thanks guys!

Had a great time yesterday before the England-France rugby game with my dad & brother. Amazing service, very friendly staff. Would 100% recommend! Came back the day after for a good Sunday Roast. 10/10, had my French brother declare “I’ll never say the English don’t know how to cook ever again.” And last but not least, Callum is the best and deserves all the raises and promotions he can get!

We had a lovely anniversary date at the Weir on a weekday. It was busy without being obnoxious, nice and quiet without feeling formal. Erica was very kind, discreet and attentive, the service was swift and the food was excellent. Totally recommended and manageable in between work days.

Nice looking pub, steak was dry, chips are very very thick, undercooked and horrid. 12.5% mandatory service charge, unable to remove. Never ever had this in the UK for 1 person.

I took a group of about 20 walking friends to the lovely Weir Bar on 30th January. They were able to accommodate us on one long table and Hannah looked after us beautifully. The £12 for two courses lunch menu makes the Weir Bar very affordable. The food was all yummy and everyone was extremely complimentary about all aspects of our lunch. Highly recommend!

We have lived in Brentford for over 8 years and have been put off the weir before due to not the most welcoming of management however we will definitely be back now that Erica is in charge. Visited last week for the first time in a long while. A really cool laid back summer atmosphere in the garden, DJ, cocktails, friendly staff, it felt more like a Balearic Island bar than a pub in Brentford! I didn't stay for food but it looked great, will definitely return soon.

Updating this review: I've been to this pub more times than I can count and the service just gets better and better! Plus their food is absolutely amazing, I've tried almost everything from the menu and the chef/kitchen staff know how to make a delicious meal (but be warned, the portion sizes are big, especially for the roasts, fish & chips, burgers and the chicken pie), so I want to give a big shoutout to them! Callum, Nial, Yarna (she's the best at making cocktails), Erica, Hannah, Aliya and Olivia are great hosts and I will definitely continue to visit this pub
