Mi marido nos sorprendió con un almuerzo en el río. Dijo: ¡Reservé una mesa en un hermoso pub en el Támesis! ¡Fue mágico! Matthew reservó un espectacular Mesa para los tres de nosotros, la vista era increíble! Pensamos que ya estaba en el cielo, pero cuando llegaron las bebidas y la comida, ¡simplemente experimentamos la perfección! Mi hija y mi marido disfrutaron de un clásico: ¡Domingo asado! ¡Estuvo delicioso! Tenía Fish & Chips. Estaba fresco y servido con salsas encantadoras y la masa era ligera y crujiente. El pescado estaba delicioso también! Sin duda volveremos cuando nuestro hijo termine sus exámenes! Matthew, hay que decirlo, nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos y especiales reservando una hermosa mesa con la mejor vista! Tuvimos una semana muy larga y agotadora y estábamos buscando algo un poco más especial para recoger a todos! Bueno, encontramos el paraíso en el Támesis en el encantador Chiswick!

Lovely Irish bar located on the river in Chiswick. We stopped by after watching the annual Oxford Cambridge boat race. Charming staff who are quick to get you whatever your order in record time

Me temo que el servicio es muy deficiente. Compramos una ronda de 3 bebidas por £ 29. 35 . Lo cual es bastante empinado para empezar. El personal del bar vino y dijo que la tarjeta había sido rechazada, así que pagamos de nuevo. Al comprobar en nuestra aplicación bancaria, pudimos ver 2 cargos que habían pasado. Así que pagamos 58 libras. 70 por 2 pintas y una copa de vino tinto mediano de la casa. Mostramos la aplicación de nuestro banco al personal. Inmediatamente nos desestimaron, diciendo que la compra era para una ronda comprada 45 minutos antes. Se ignoró el hecho de que podíamos probar con recibos que habíamos estado en el pub adyacente hasta 10 minutos antes. Dijeron que tenemos imágenes de CCTV de nosotros discutiendo qué vino tinto elegir. Lo cual objetivamente no era cierto. Les pedí que nos lo mostraran, pero dijeron que no podemos tocarlo ante el público. Dije “por favor, ¿puedes verlo y verificar que estuvimos aquí 45 minutos antes.” El barman dijo que no podía. Muy decepcionado, voy a tratar de seguir esto con la dirección, ya que esta fue una situación muy desagradable. El personal era muy agradable. Por favor, evite este pub.

I am afraid very poor service. We bought a round of 3 drinks £29.35. Which is rather steep to start with. The bar staff came over and said the card had been refused, so we paid again. When checking on the banking app we could see 2 charges had gone through. So we paid £58.70 for 2 pints and a glass of medium red house wine. We showed our banks app to the staff. They immediately dismissed us saying the purchase was for a round bought 45 minutes earlier. The fact we could prove we had been in the adjacent pub up until 10 minutes ago was ignored. They said we have cctv footage of us discussing which red wine to choose. Which was not true. I asked them to show it to us, they said we cannot play it to members of the public. I said ok you watch it and verify it was us in here 45 minutes earlier. The barman said he was unable to. Very disappointed, I will try to follow this up as this was a very unpleasant situation. The staff were extremely unpleasant. Please avoid this pub.

I visited the Bell & Crown for a wake on Thursday 20th March, I can't fault the team here. The staff were lovely, the bar service was so excellent, and a guy [ who I believe was the manager] made things effortless and was friendly and accommodating to a large group of people descending on his pub at 4pm !! The buffet food they put on was great and hit the spot, they even had a couple of traditional dishes from the family which we thought was lovely [some places wouldn't allow this] and we also had friends who order food later and it was really good. Thanks for being so welcoming - I would definitely recommend

Booked in advance and had a very nice table for three by the windows overlooking the Thames. Good food, but lacking extensive options for vegetarians.

I like The Bell & Crown My most recent experience was not good. Wrong pasta (£18) ‘ oh sorry it’s not tagliatelle.. is that ok’ My Pâté dish looked tinned and not made by the chef. We were being polite but even the kids meal was not great. Happy to pay top prices but I’m giving them a miss for a week or two. It’s not good enough to serve the wrong thing and then say.., is that ok ( when you are waiting for lunch)

On Sunday, March 2nd, we celebrated a 70th birthday with a table for twelve in the bootmaker's shop on a beautiful sunny day. Although our server was delightful and the drinks were flowing, the open-door policy for terrace patrons made it uncomfortably cold inside. We repeatedly requested the door be closed, but the manager curtly explained the situation and asked if it was "okay," to which several of us replied it was not, he didn't close the door. So we put on our coats, scarves, and gloves. Despite trying to enjoy our Sunday roast in the chill of 9°C, I couldn't help but wonder why the first hint of sunshine leads us to believe it's warm outside. If you book a table here, make sure to ask for seating outside as you'll have the option of the overhead heater.

Reservé para el cumpleaños de mi madre y nos quedamos boquiabiertos. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y el servicio era muy amable y atento a pesar de que el pub estaba tan ocupado en un domingo soleado. Los asados fueron excepcionales como recuerdo de una visita anterior, con porciones generosas y una encantadora variedad de lados. Mi madre estaba muy conmovida por el brownie de cumpleaños y la vela que se trajeron para ella. Gracias por ayudar a que sea un día tan especial!

Eaten here several times and generally the food has been very good, as well as the service. The stall pie on my last visit was particularly tasty and I would highly recommend. It had a good crust and tender well flavoured tender yet firm beef.

My favourite pub in Chiswick, I have been going here for years. The male manager is so welcoming and friendly even when it is packed with people. I wouldn’t say this place is good value but the views and atmosphere make up for it. Out of all the pubs on strand on the green this pub always feels like the most welcoming from both guests and staff.

What a fantastic well hidden pub!! We went there to meet friends for a Sunday roast and I was very impressed. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing place - dog-friendly (got offered dog biscuits 3x), good food, good portion size, cozy ambience, and VERY friendly and attentive staff (twice while getting drinks poured another server asked me if I was being served). The folks running this place are doing everything right as far as we could see…. And great view because right at the Thames!! Book a table on weekends, it’s a busy place. London prices.

Went for brunch- obviously short staffed- as order not taken correctly, salmon cut thickly, then had to wait for the toast had ordered to come, even remind them and ended up with everything else on the plate cold. Shame as have been there before and it was pleasant enough.

🚇 Kew Bridge 🍺 £6.25 Amstel The Bell & Crown is located on the banks of the Thames in Chiswick West London. The nearest station is Kew Bridge, I got the train to Gunnersbury which has better connections. This riverside pub, licensed as the Bell & Crown by 1787, was acquired by Fuller, Smith & Turner in 1814 and rebuilt in 1907. The pub expanded into two adjoining shops in the 1980s, with the large conservatory extension added in 1984. There are two ways to enter the pub, you can either enter on the main Thames Road entrance or the Strand on the Green entrance by the river. Once inside, you’ll find a traditional one bar pub with a cosy atmospheric feel. The pub is divided into three sections, there is a good size main bar area which has a long servery, a bright and airy conservatory and a terrace overlooking the Thames. Along the path by the river are plenty of benches and chairs to watch the world go by. This Fullers pub has a good selection of familiar well known beers which included three cask ales. I decided on a pint of Amstel, my pint was excellent, price point was just above average. There is a classic pub grub menu available, Fish & Chips costs £19.50, roasts are available on a Sunday. I arrived at 2pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon in May. The main bar was fairly quiet as the majority of punters were sat outside soaking up the glorious sunshine. There was a good mix of punters who were either here for a beer or a nice spot of lunch in the conservatory and on the terrace. The atmosphere was laidback with minimal effort required to settle in. The service was pleasant, the team member who served me was welcoming and courteous. Visiting the @bellcrownw4 was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed pub experience. I loved the stroll along the Thames to get here, the historic building, the country pub feel in the main bar and the beer was sensibly priced. Manager wouldn't put the heating on in the conservatory area when pub was rammed, which was nice of them. Otherwise, lovely pub and great fireplace.

The food was great. I have never seen staff so accommodating in a London pub. Great location by the river. We are still here 6 hours later and still feel welcome by all staff. Perfect!

What a lovely pub! The building is interesting and full of places you can hang out depending on your vibe like cosy spots with arm chairs and a space with a shuffleboard table. I was impressed by the amount of drink options, especially if you aren’t drinking, they had a lot of options including some delicious soda based mocktails. Nice place to spend an afternoon 👌

Como familia almorzamos el domingo y tenemos que decir que era una excelente carne asada. El personal era atento y el vino estaba bien. Mi suegro visita regularmente. La última vez que fui hace un par de meses (durante la semana) me decepcionó, era una comida de negocios tan algo avergonzado realmente, no estoy seguro de lo que pasó esa vez, aparte de posiblemente el chef cambia a veces? De todos modos basado en la experiencia del domingo, muy buena

What a wonderful, amazing place! We were warmly greeted by friendly staff, even though we hadn’t made a booking. Absolutely delicious food was brought to our table and every morsel was devoured. The menu has something for everyone and the dessert menu is tempting. There’s a drink menu with beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. If you’re a beer lover that loves to overlook the river while enjoying some spicy chicken wings, go here! Loved it - but not a fan of the smoking tables next to the non-smoking section. Highly recommend but be careful where you sit or you might be enjoying your food while others blow smoke your way.

We’re enjoying ourselves until certain members of staff decided they were under too much pressure and decided to be rude and surly to us. Not a good look really. Shame because we were enjoying ourselves.

Wonderful spot that doesn’t rest on its laurels. 4 star food because we couldn’t identify how the gravy (Sunday roasts) was created. Never experienced such a shiny gravy before. Otherwise all dishes were great and we sat on the upper terrace and soaked up the views and general atmosphere. Will definitely return on one of our bike rides to the steam museum across the way. Good job FST.

Siempre muy buen lugar y muy querido, ya que soy local, sin embargo, triste experiencia hoy. Ofrecieron una mesa, pero no informaron que cerrarían la cocina en 5 minutos. Eran las 7: 55 pm. Cuando fui a pedir 2 entrantes me informaron que la cocina estaba cerrada hace 4 minutos y debería saber como esto se anuncia en línea como explicó manger... Qué pena.

Came here while visiting London for work on a day off. Used to visit this pub frequently when living in South Ealing. Memory served me right and the food did not disappoint. Chose the fish and chips which was really rather good, possibly one of the best Pub Fish and Chips (because truly nothing in the world of British food beats Chip Shop Fish and Chips, especially when you live near a beach) I’ve ever had!

Really nice riverside pub with lovely views and good food. I had a bean chilli, I think it was vegan. It was absolutely delicious, with lots of veg, and was a good big portion of food, very attractively presented. The service was lovely too.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere at this pub right on the river. The fish and chips was very good - not at all oily. The roast was nice but have definitely had better in London. Overall though a great pub and definitely worth visiting for drinks or food!

I can't believe I never visited this place in my seven years of living here! From the moment I walked in, everything was just right. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and the view of the river adds a lovely touch. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to going back. Highly recommend!

Visited for an early supper on the Terrance on a Saturday evening. Lovely pub next to the river, busy and a great atmosphere due to sunny weather. Food was great, burger for me and steak for my Wife. Service was really good, all staff were friendly and helpful, especially Perry, who looked after us. Highly recommend, great Pub thanks!

After our lovely meal both myself and my friend had bad stomachs. The only thing we both had was water so I suggest you check your supply and glassware. This was a shame it only took about an hour and after a loo visit we felt fine again.

An occasional visitor to London, a city I dislike, this was above average by their standards. The service was very good & friendly enough. The beer was better than you usually get in London. Atmosphere was ok. The setting on the riverfront is really nice. The chicken schnitzel was drier than my sense of humour.

Went for an early lunch. The focaccia was stale bread with a dip and the tomato salad was a joke!!

What a splendid venue. First time for me and the staff excelled looking after a bunch of old friends. Food was excellent plus good beer and wine. Well worth a Friday lunchtime visit.

House vodka is Smirnoff, service was ok if a little slow. Not the cheapest place on the waterfront, but good views. All of the pubs along here are better than in Hammersmith imo.

17 minutes for a coffee in a near empty pub. Service is beyond woeful. Avoid, and severely overpriced.

Fab location and very busy bar & restaurant. Pub is set overlooking the Thames offering great views. Relaxed dining and dog friendly as lots of outdoor seating areas. Staff were great! Great bar with good selection of bees, wines and even cocktails. Seasonal menu & great choices with clear dietary guidelines. Delicious food and well presented dishes. Fabulous!

Terrible service, proper eye rolling when you ask for a drink. They don’t want you to order anything but bottles of wine. Don’t know how to make any of the cocktails on their list and on a hot day like today the glass makes it intolerably hot and they won’t allow doors to the outside to be open. Avoid at all costs

£7.60 for an Asahi is the biggest daylight robbery since our most recent Council Tax hike. But the pub is lovely as is the view of the Thames.

I’ve been here several times, and this time I came for Sunday roast with my friend. We got recommendations from a lady. Lamb and beef roast were really good! Especially the amazing sauce served with the lamb! I wanna know the recipe! I love this place so much and highly recommend visiting especially in the summer! You can fully enjoy the Sun and delicious food with beer☺️ Thanks for the warm welcome and the exceptional food.

Great little pub by the river! Fantastic customer service from the entire team especially Nicola who made our visit most pleasant! The Malbec wine goes a long with either their rump steak or lamb chops!

Pre booked a few days in advance and asked for table for 3 , if possible over looking the river, but as it as bank holiday weekend doubted we would get it. I was correct. However didn’t expect to be given a table suitable for 2 over looking the fire place. Food okay, waitress attentive.

Visited as part of a work away day. We were very well looked after considering how many of us there were and the food was really really great. Thanks again.

If I could have given the service more I would. We visited here for a works do on Thursday night and the service was amazing (I think her name was Sam and she made the night). Would definitely recommend a visit, it has a lovely view of the river and the food was really good.
