Catch this tiny bar on a music night and you will find it full of musicians having a jam. Beer is outstanding, no food though you can bring in your fish supper from next door.

While I haven't had the chance to sample the food just yet, I'll be sure to update my rating once I've had a taste. Here's why it deserves a full five stars: 1. Thursdays at Northumberland Arms are a musical wonderland, orchestrated skillfully by Ger. An array of musicians, from guitars to mandolins, violins to vocoders, and even marimbas and hand claps, create a symphony of sounds. Vocalists of all ranges, be they baritone or falsetto, find their place in the harmony. Just stroll in, grab a beer, and join the musical chorus! 2. The pub's beer selection is a delightful blend of Belgian and Trappist brews, alongside local favorites. A thoughtful touch that enhances the overall experience. Igor, always ready with a warm welcome, ensures you're well taken care of. 3. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Northumberland Arms to witness this musical magic for yourself. And who knows, maybe even participate in a sing-along. You won't leave disappointed!

The Northumberland Arms offers a bit of a surprise on entering. It has been completely redone and has a bit of a cafe feel to it. A good selection of beer and ciders including the Famous "Northumberland Arms Lager" as well as the eponymous cider. There are also a couple of real ales on offer. There is a tiny terrace at the back with a couple of tables. All good and cheery to see a pub reopened.

Live band night, one for the older generation, barman great and funny good selection of drinks! Would recommend

Good choice of beers and regular live music of all sorts. Sadly all disrupted by the pandemic at the moment but I will be going back when normality returns.

Found this place while I was taking a walk about, I was staying at the local Hilton. Really nice place, your regular local pub, friendly barmaid, good atmosphere, better pint prices 🍺🍺🍺. Sing song going on when I popped in. Happy I did.

Little pub with good selection of beers, IPAs and other drinks. Clean and well kept. I visited on Sat at 4pm and it was almost empty but still pleasant.

A very pleasant little place. Very quiet on a weekday afternoon but when I returned in the evening I was greeted by some great live music.

I called in recently to check the pub out and thought that I would be able to get something to eat at the same time, as they advertised food available from 12 to 3pm. I arrived at about 1.30pm only to be informed thst the kitchen had closed.

I only go when there's music on, rock, it's loud, proud and you have fun. You can dance, good drink selection and the one person whose usually on, on music night is quick and efficient. You can also dine there but cannot comment as never eaten. The pub is clean and comfortable so even if you don't go for the music you'll be in comfortable surroundings.

Nice little bar that features music duos at weekends, but don't expect a quite cosy chat as this music goes up to Eleven, if you know what I mean.

This is a small pub with regular live music events. Whilst they don't serve food they do allow you to order food in. Please be polite in turn and take your packaging away with you.

Lovely small cosy pub by the pretty canal. Alot of locals and boat people, smashing singing and various instruments playing like guitars, harmonica etc. I had a lovely time and would go again 😊

Very pleasant service, with decor looks like a recent restoration. Relaxing atmosphere, for either a quiet drink or start to an eventful night out.

Formerly O`Brien's. Small but perfectly formed. Used to do a SUPERB and keenly priced Sunday lunch but the new management combined with new Sunday parking restrictions in the locale have put pay to that. Mercifully still offers a good selection of well kept ales. A relaxing venue.

Top beer, regular music, a good pub.

I spent a pleasant couple of hours in the northumberland arms enjoying one of their real ales on pump, and the pleasant bar staff. however, I was disappointed that no food was on offer and didn’t seem likely to be, even later that day.

Love it here. Visited as a performer and as a punter. Great staff, great music, love music at the weekends, highly recommended.

Go here for the late night music sessions. Great suff!

I wrote a review based on a visit in February, but sadly we went again a couple of months later and were very disappointed. It is still the cheapest roast in town, but the quality was lacking. It was very average indeed. Tasteless and bland. Wouldn't return based on our most recent visit. The football on the TV is also annoying.

This is the best value Sunday Roast you'll find. For £7.50 (yes £7.50) you get a full plate plus a little side of cauliflower cheese. I had the roast lamb, the meat is fairly tender and tasty and the vegetables are decent. This is quite a small pub but pleasant enough. The lady behind the bar is friendly. We went away full and satisfied.

We called here as a last minute decision and am glad we did, guest ales as well as lager. The food was nicely priced and a decent portion. The staff was pleasent and professional

Buen restaurante, desde fuera no lo parece pero la comida esta bien y el precio razonable. Estaba vacío pero fuímos a comer despues de trabajar y nos sorprendió. El plato de salchichas con pure y salsa de cebolla estaba muy bueno.

We stayed in the hotel opposite of the pub and spent 2 nights in the this pub. In one word? AMAZING!!!!! In a bit more words? Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great prices, beautiful food ( to die for actually), fantastic live music. Can't wait to return next year again

Steady little pub with real honest and tasty food. Specials menu off the blackboard and a pint for under a tenner and a full and happy Hector I am. None of your silly prices and no messing about. Spot on. Highly recommend this place. If you want gastro dining your looking at the wrong place.

Visited while staying at the holiday Inn opposite. Had Sunday roast which was excellent value for money. In fact there was too much on the plate for me! Was getting worried when pub started to fill after 9pm as live music was due to start but the level was perfect and not at all too loud. Great night. Would definitely visit again if in area

I visited as was staying overnight and working nearby. Really impressed by the value, had a nice Rib Eye Steak for £12.50, other dishes were a similar price. The pub/restaurant itself is very small but friendly and well worth a look if you are looking for something good without being expensive, I would return if working in the area in the future.

Traditional English pub in my opinion which served up a delightful pint of Real Ale. Clean tidy with pleasant staff. The menu looked good although we were already programmed for a Chinese up the road!!

I ate here with a friend a few weeks ago. My friend recommended the Sunday roast as it is cheap. That's as much as I can say for it. It was a Sunday roast for under £7, something you don't see much of these days. I'd guess most of the food was frozen, which you must expect at that price. I cant get too enthusiastic about it, although I did have a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced.Good on them for putting out roasts for this price, but I wouldn't rush back.

Having had two very good Sunday lunches at the NA, we came back for a final lunch before moving out of London. As before, good plateful, well presented lamb, carrots, roasties, Yorky, caulifower, broccoli, turnip. Excellent value (especially in London) and good, pleasant,attentive service. Excellent all round, and we recommend highly.

Went here for an evening meal with our friends. Behind the doors of this local pub we found really well cooked, tasty food wth generous portions at reasonable price. Would definitely go again.

Popped in for a quick drink and after spotting the menu decided to give it a try. Been there 3 times now, great friendly staff, food so good and inexpensive, so far the fish on lentils is the best but the steak is perfect too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited with friend before going to football match. Food very good but drinks rather expensive. Clean and tidy appearance but disappointed that although there was an open fire it was not lit and being that it was a very cold evening it would have been appreciated and would have added to the ambiance. This may seem a minor detail but makes a big difference as there were 2 other like pubs in the vicinity which had open fires operating and it made a welcoming site.

My wife and I live nearby and I have been meaning to drop in ever since the pub was spruced up earlier this year. Today was the day for a Sunday Roast!! A choice of beef, chicken or lamb. My wife had beef and I had lamb. Well-cooked, tasty and plenty of it. A large plate including a delightful array of colours; broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beans, peas, mash and roast. Enough to feed a lumberjack. All for 6.95. They also do children's portions for 4.95. Clean, neat and good service. Not pretentious. They had a good selection of beers but we opted for a glass of wine. A good neighborhood pub with music during the week..

I really want this pub to be my local and I got really excited when it was undergoing a makeover. Without sounding too picky, pretentious and silly, the new sign actually puts me off a little. It looks cheap and makes me think they have taken cuts inside. I decided to give it a go anyway. the bar looks beautiful and it has potential to be a cosy local, but some of the cheap tables inside and the sign does cheapen it a little. I think something to consider, due to the influx of new residents to the area who will be looking for an upmarket type experience. I'm not saying become a gastropub,(I do like an old school boozer myself!) but a few little things will make the biggest difference.

Stayed at the holiday inn across the road and I saw that the pub had gone back to it's original name. I had been here when it had different owners so we wanted to see what it was like.It is spotlessly clean and modern in a well thought out way. Good choice beer with some great real ales. Good service and we enjoyed the barman's choice of beer well done to him.We saw food that was on offer and it looked delicious. Next time we are in the area we will call in again.

Four of us went on Sunday lunch time. We all had delicious roast dinner. You can choose between lamb,beef and chicken. Great service and excellent value. £6.95!

We were walking back from Kew to Richmond via the northern Thames Path and at the Grand Union Canal it pushes you out to Isleworth, so before we walked through Syon Park we decided to have a drink in here. The place is small, but pretty modern. We only had drinks and snacks, but they appear to do very nice food too, but it was just too early for us to eat. This was a welcome rest for us.

Stopped in the Holiday Inn across the road and came over here for lunch before we went to Twickenham and glad we did. Freindly staff in a pleasant pub with great fish and chips at a reasonable price. would definitely go again.

A bit more crowded than previous. Still very warm and welcoming. It seems the menu has slightly changed. Always a good sign! Can't wait to be back!

I travel to Brentford on business trips quite often and when I do so I always stay at the Holiday Inn. Northumberland Arms has always been across the road but had a different name until recently. I am not sure if the owners have changed but the pub has been turned around completely. It has been refurbished and the atmosphere is very cosy and offers excellent dining experience. The food has gone from pub food to a fusion between modern European cuisine and classical British fine dining. I had a spicy Mackerel for starter and a sirloin steak for main washed down with a pint of my favourite Pilsener Urquell that can only be better in Prague! The beer selection is excellent including many real ales, Belgian beer and continental lagers. The wine and spirits section looks well presented too-I took advantage of the single malt scotch instead of dessert. Well done as a change! I do recommend the place on any occasion!!!
