It's full of builders in the mornings and lets face it, they tend to know what a god fry up is. And breakfast here is very good. Nothing fancy but covers all of the major food groups - sausages, bacon, eggs, beans or whatever else you like in the morning. It's quick, generous portions and the staff are friendly. Great for a take-out too.

Just had the best pie I've had in ages! I was gagging for a gravy meal and saw they did pies! I wanted steak but unfortunately wasn't to be lol ended up with the meatiest home made beef and Guinness pie with chips peas and Gravy! I have to admit I couldn't work it all as their was just too much :) and the amount of meat in it was overwhelming :) wish I lived round here! I'd become a right fat but content git lol It's also a very clean and reasonably priced cafe with great staff! Hope to be back in the area again!

Love this place. Their cakes are baked fresh and ice cream is hand made. We sat here and completed one of their many jigsaw puzzles. Was so friendly and unique.

123 High StreetOur football team have been playing locally for many years and have been going to this pub after the games and sitting outside in the garden, spending thousands of pounds in this pub over the last 5 years. Today we were met with a sign outside the pub that says ‘Footballers no thanks’ and when we entered we were told so rudely by the staff that we were not welcome anymore as they have now refurbished the floor. Irrespective of weather circumstances we always ensure that we respectfully sit outside as we are aware we are a large group and are mindful of other customers. We are no longer welcome here and will not be returning to this pub due to the discrimination we faced. Service is always slow and although the ladies that are working there are always very nice to us, the owner and some of the other staff are very rude.

9-11 Enfield RoadWe held our daughters baby shower in the garden, the setting was lovely, the staff were absolutely fab, very attentive and provided excellent customer service. And the food was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. And I have to say compliments to the chef, I had the best nut roast ever! I would highly recommend a visit! Thank you to everyone at the The Lord Nelson for making our celebration special. 👍
