We held our daughters baby shower in the garden, the setting was lovely, the staff were absolutely fab, very attentive and provided excellent customer service. And the food was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. And I have to say compliments to the chef, I had the best nut roast ever! I would highly recommend a visit! Thank you to everyone at the The Lord Nelson for making our celebration special. 👍

Lovely food, company, vibe and service! Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Fish and chips, cheese bites and cauliflower stater were especially nice.

We recently hosted a dinner for x10 to celebrate a friend's upcoming baby. Rich and the team were incredibly accommodating - allowing us to decorate the tables, and bring a cake. It's such a gorgeous setting in the garden, and felt perfect for what we wanted. The staff were really laid back and friendly, the food and menu are great - all in all the evening was a great success! Thank you to Rich and the team - the Lord Nelson is a firm favourite amongst the many pubs in Brentford.

Been a regular in the Nelson for years. The best Brentford pub. Always good friendly staff and great vegan food. Great garden area, occasional live bands and vinyl nights. On match days, all supporters are welcomed in with respect.

We went there for dinner 3 days and the experience was fantastic. The super nice staff, the unbeatable atmosphere and the food, a delight. Their number 1 dish is baked salmon, delicious! If we ever come back, we will repeat!!

Lovely traditional pub with wonderful covered beer garden with eucalyptus tree in the centre. Lots of twinkly lights. Delicious gf and df burger. Friendly waitress knowledgeable about allergens.

It was a quiet Thursday evening and we almost had the place to ourselves! Three of us met for dinner and the meal could be one of the best we've ever had at The Nelson! The salmon dish was so good I could eat it every day! Lovely staff who are friendly and really attentive. The garden is a particular usp too with its ancient eucalyptus tree, lighting and heaters under the awning. This is a backstreet pub that packs a punch! See you soon!

1pm on Saturday, appreciate Brentford we’re at home and they were busy but; Two sandwich choices on menu but an hour after opening fish finger sandwich were sold out! we ordered 3 BLT we waited 40 mins, when they finally arrived they apologised for bread as they had run out of our choices, no sign of a tomato in any sandwich (no apology/mention of that), we paid an extra £1:75 for a dozen small chips on each plate. The bread was so thin it wouldn’t support the bacon when eating just collapsed, overall poor and we won’t be returning.

Fantastic atmosphere both inside and in the garden. Staff is very friendly and the service is very good. We dined here many times and the food is amazing. Never disappoints!

Nice welcoming pub with covered outside area at the back. On street parking has 'light' restrictions. Only disappointment for a Real Ale pub was that the only cask beer on offer was London Pride. Worse that it was served too cold!

This was our 2nd time going for drinks at Christmas with the whole family (30+) people, atmosphere is awesome we all sit in the beer garden it’s so cozy and warm, heaters in a few places blankets and hot water bottles are supplied. Only gripe is that the blankets were a bit damp but soon warmed up when you used them. We ordered at least 20 lots of chips, burgers and hot chocolate we all enjoyed it so much and TLN will definitely be our usual meeting place in years to come if possible

Was looking for somewhere to have a late lunch on Easter bank holiday Monday and I'm delighted to have discovered this lovely well-refurbished pub. First plus point was easy wheelchair access (ramp in place without having to request it). Once in, staff were charming and extremely helpful.... when I asked about non-alcoholic drink options, the lovely lady behind the bar lined up sample bottles for us to choose from. Food was inventive and very tasty with lots of vegetarian options. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing on our visit with a few regulars coming and going - I hope to become one of them!

It was busy as Mother’s Day so there was a half hour wait at the table but we enjoyed our drinks. The food arrived very hot which was great and so different from other Sunday roasts in the area. The meat (most had beef, I had pork) was excellent and plenty of veg. Tasty gravy all nicely arranged on the plate. The two mothers on our table were given a prettily boxed gift of a gin and tonic. We all agreed it was the best roast we’d had out in a long time. Very friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. We had further drinks at a comfortable lounge area.

The best part of the Lord Nelson is the hidden away beer garden. It is super designed and very cosy

I have visited for a meal with family/friends in last two weeks and both times they have been absolutely brilliant. Staff are lovely, food tasty and a lovely pub all round. They are great at dealing with dietary needs too, I’m a Coeliac.

Arrived 3 PM today (Friday); when asked, I said I wanted a meal and was told the kitchen was closed until 5 PM. There is nothing I can find on their website about the kitchen having reduced hours. I e-mailed them earlier in the day, asking about that, and received no response. I called them, twice, between 2 PM and 3 PM and no one answered the phone. I explained this to the bar maid behind the counter and got an attitude from her. As much as I have enjoyed previous visits to the Lord Nelson, sorry to say I believe it's no longer worth my business.

Site’s Christmas Eve with about 25 family members of all ages, had a great time, atmosphere was great sitting in the cozy beer garden mainly for drinks but food was ordered too it it was lovely,only thing that would if made it better was some Christmas music.

I booked the Lord Nelson based on a recommendation, and I was NOT disappointed. I booked a table for 17 for my birthday celebration. We did have to pre-order given we were such a large group, but it took away all the hassle when we got there. When we arrived they showed us to our table, gave us time to settle in and then asked if we needed anything, and when we would like the food. All the starters, and then all the mains came out together. Meaning you didn't have come members with food and others just sitting there waiting. They also gave us a suitable gap between starters and mains. The actual pub is lovely, both inside and out (the garden is so well done with fair lights and they have heaters, blankets, and hot water bottles for when the weather gets a bit cold) . The food was delicious with a varied menu. Everyone was happy with what they order, which never normally happens with such a large group. We will defiantly be back soon

Lovely pub with good atmosphere. We ate inside because I am an oldie but the garden looked lovely too. The food was great. The grilled halloumi starter and spiced salmon with creamy parmesan orzo mains were both excellent. Friendly staff gave a great service. I can't wait to go again.

Good beer and very solid food, they seemed to have stopped with the Vegan only menu nonsense which is refreshing to see.

Went to The Nellie after the Ealing Half Marathon and the atmosphere was fantastic! They were doing table service for food. I had the Wild Boar hotdog which was exceptionally tasty (sadly couldn't even finish the plentiful potato wedges). I think everyone in our party of 6 had something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. Guy on the guitar in the corner wasn't too loud and played great music (although sadly drew the line at playing "Paw Patrol" for us). Highly recommended!

Lovely friendly welcome and completely knowledgable about Gluten free! So great to sit in the beautiful garden with friends and have dinner and drinks. Really impressed that they could cater for me as a coeliac and couldn’t do enough to accommodate.

Last time we popped in for an evening meal they had very little in the Vegan menu. But glad to say we went again today and had a wonderful vegan sunday roast. This is our local pub, we have only been here a handful of times but will definitely be visiting more!! This pub did a wake for us and everything was dealt with sensitively and with such care. The food was so lovely and the staff were very professional but so friendly. Beautiful garden. No problems at all. I would 100% be going back more often :)

So I’m really not one to leave reviews... like ever, but in this instance I had too. The food so so tasty, home made nachos, delicious cheesy bites and a fat juicy cheese burger! The atmosphere was perfect, and the staff so warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Mateo who served us! Such a great experience.

An excellent "modern traditional" pub. We booked a garden table for Sunday lunch before we dropped my son off at an event at Gunnersbury Park, purely on the basis it was nearby. We really fell on our feet. The food and service was excellent and good value. The vibe was cool and friendly. We weren't drinking as driving but the range of beers was excellent. Basil the Lab enjoyed the garden too.

Staff were really attentive and nothing was ever too much for them. Visited at least 3 times and tried pretty much the whole food menu, every dish was perfect. Will be back again when next in the area

Massive thank you to Rich and the team at the Lord Nelson. They were all outstanding in hosting our wedding reception in June. We were blown away by their attention to detail and service throughout the day. Our guests absolutely loved the pub and all the staff there. Rich and the team were so accommodating with their time leading up to the reception, they made us feel completely relaxed and confident. What's not to love about this local. Staff are ridiculously friendly and provide great service. Old lost a star from me as pretty much the entire garden is now covered so you can't sit in the sun (when it's out 😂)

Fantastic charming garden space, was perfect for a 40th get-together. The food was delicious, sandwich platter and bar bites. Service and staff was spot on. If your looking for some good quality food, (burgers and chips highly recommended) a nice hidden chilled relaxed local, try the Nelson.

Good music, food not so good. Ordered Morrocan chicken and was dissapointed. A large plate with not much food on it. As a result I left the establishment hungry. Maybe should have chosen a burger!

The Landlord had given the kitchen over to Kieran for Sunday roast lunches. He does kitchen pop-ups. It was the hottest day of the year and we had the latest sitting. I thought it'd be a disaster, but how wrong I was. Fair play to him and all the staff at The Nelly. Loved it. Great food (lamb, beef, nut roast), drink (gin, cider, guest ale) and atmosphere (mellow DJ vibe in the covered garden).

Was at Lord Nelson Pub tonight and joined in on the Bring Your Own Vinyl for the first time with a little Roots Rock Reggae selection. Great local atmosphere as ever. Good food and Fullers beers. Plus wheelchair accessible which most pubs are not.

The customer service is great and the food, specially the Sunday Roast and Sticky toffee pudding! They have a beautiful garden too, perfect for summer days.

Great lamb roast, staff & chef top drawer. Last here in the mid 1960's but the large extension and refurb has saved this once regular haunt of mine.

Came here after the big fixture and blimey were the pints sensational. Had about 14 and they all tasted better than the last. Spoke to Jormbo behind the bar for a while and he was a cracking bloke. I tell you what, I'll definitely be coming back here! Stayed in a nearby hotel for the day (Novotel) and went here for dinner with our two girls (5&2 yrs old). Absolutely loved it, from the super friendly staff, friendly locals, really good quality food, lovely garden and some cracking music. Cannot complain one bit. Staff happily cleared up a broken ketchup bottle we dropped. Oops. The Shiraz was wonderful. All the food we had (truffle chips, gyoza, flatbread, chilli cheese bites, vegan hot dog) was above average. Wish we had a local like this near us!

I've visited here a few times for a drink and have enjoyed it each time. The bar area is very cosy (especially at Christmas!), as is the garden, and there is a good selection of drinks. The staff are very friendly too ☺️

Terrible value for money in terms of food, very poor quality for the price you pay. Chef might be a nice person but does not know how to cook a good and tasty food. You should really go and check some restaurants in central London for the quality you can get. Chef’s partner might be very disappointed. On positive note, nice and friendly service from stuff.

Beautifully renovated pub, with my favourite garden in West London. A refreshing menu that breaks away from your standard west London chain fare. I highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem.
