Fairly nice place but usually quite busy towards weekend etc

Cheap tasty food, cheap beer, and not busy when we visited on a Sunday evening. I understand that it becomes busy and a little rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights. Just what you expect from a Wetherspoons.

Superb choice of real ales for spoons beer festival and the jacket potato was decent with fresh salad all for under a tenner!!..service was fast

Food is not my liking . I don't drink, so I have Pepsi . Pint of Pepsi nearly as much as a pint off larger . In my Pepsi half is ice , I ask for a pint with no ice and get less Pepsi when I say full pint staff argue. I pay for pint of Pepsi I want a pint

An excellent establishment, unless you happen to be there on a Saturday night - in which case the only chance of getting served is if you happen know one of the bar staff. Food is as good as can be expected although someone really ought to tell 'chef' that fried eggs are normally runny. The b A classic 'spoons'.

David was so lovely asking how our meal was, it was so nice. David was checking glass and plates, which some of the witherspoon pubs don't do

Certainly not bad. I think it could do with a little cosmetic facelift. However the beer and food were good. A little noisier than some spoons but it was a Saturday lunchtime so fair enough.

good place to eat, share and have a drink, there are good promotions, the food is not the most exclusive or fine, but it is very good and the price of 3 courses for £15 is a good promotion

Fairly average "Spoons" has improved a little over recent weeks on the plus side decent selection of beers at very reasonable prices.

Wetherspoons lives up to its reputation of being cheap and cheerful. Depending what you want will affect whether I would recommend the Weeping Ash to you. The staff are friendly and try hard to keep queues to a minimum. The food is 'fast' and reheated. Meals are generally in offer but - as shown - not always worth what you pay for them. There's a good range of bitters and lager's on draft if that is what you are looking for and they are able to offer them at exceptionally cheap prices.

Meh. It's a Wetherspoons, so...enough said, really. As a 6ft black guy, I WASN'T given nervous looks by the locals, which can be a issue in certain pubs, so that's positive. Pretty spacious. Staff member smiled at me, so that was nice, and probably the closest you'll come to good customer service in Wetherspoons. If you can't afford to go to any of the other quaint, riverside pubs in St. Neots, go to the Weeping Ash for a cheap pint.

Everything cooked just right! Edit: even better today, although I think that's not Abbott ale coming from the tap. Busy as hell, but the staff don't seem to mind- they've got the pleasure of serving up decent fare!

Got salmonella from the chicken bite basket. They were soft and warm. And obviously had been reheated. I've been violently ill since I at them. And I want be coming back.

If you want to go for a good value cheap and cheerful bit of pub grub then you can't beat spoons in st neots. Why go elsewhere and pay twice the price.

The food was really good and there was a free drink included so very good value. The service was excellent but the young lady at the place that you order was very brusque and made me feel quite unwelcome.

Food had egg shell in they did refund but shouldnt have happened.

Rhett was very helpful when i missed up my order. was my mistake i tried to order a veg breakfast but messed up. He and the kitchen staff was able to put it right very quickly.

Nice quiet wetherspoons staff seemed nice enough. Had to wait to be served but it's normal. Background noise is minimal which is nice leaving you to have a n8ce chat with friends. Tables were clean... it was ok...typical wetherspoons

Unfortunately I was served a poor quality steak today...It was mainly gristle.... So disappointed.

Came in for a quick drink as it was hot. On arrival didn’t seem too bad, but service was awful. Painfully slow, and the bar wasn’t even busy. 4 people behind it, yet one serving. Crazy! Went to sit outside and very small. Not the cleanest, and it just wasn’t for me. Unless you’re a “Wetherspoon” regular, you won’t like it

Had a coffee here after a wander around St Neots. The Weeping Ash is a paint by numbers Wetherspoons pub that doesn't try very hard to be anything else. Cheap food, cheap drinks, a lax standard of interior cleanliness, run of the mill stuff. Some of the tables were uncleared and unclean, we picked the cleanest and sat down. Once a post office, the pub now offers up second class service and is happy to deliver an average experience. The pub is average enough and fairly forgettable. Once the coffee has been drunk you've already forgotten you were there.

We all had a breakfast menu item - eggs benedict, miners benedict and the new Fiesta item. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and such fabulous value.

Great fast service . Hot and well presented food , friendly staff . It’s a spoons it’s not ever going to Ala Carte food but it’s cheaper than a macy d’s . Table of 6 we all enjoyed our food and for the price we paid it was very good

We was a party of 6 having a few drinks & enjoying the cocktails for a friends birthday when whilst some of the party was outside having a smoke two cocktails where delivered to the table. These were not ordered by ourselves & they sat on our table for over 30 mins the next thing you know a member of staff came over & said they had been delivered in error but as it was their error not too worry & drink them. No worries we poured a cocktail from the jug when a different member of staff came over & was extremely rude & aggressive accused of us accepting wrong drinks blamed us for their error was raising their voice & kept saying we had to pay for this!!!?? It was their error!! Two members of our party were only just 18 & felt very intimated ( might add these weren’t even id!) we paid for the drinks even though it wasn’t our fault as she was causing such a scene.She went over to the bouncer ranting & raving & the bouncer agreed with us much to her disappointment. She obviously hasn’t heard of the Wetherspoon game either!! Needless to say she needs some customer service training & we definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone!! The least they could do is refund the money for their error!!

Usual Wetherspoon, good food, nice setting, very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly but not enough of them as usual with Wetherspoon. Always worth a visit. Still good on latest visit, prices a bit higher, but nowadays where isn't it?

Doesn’t deserve any stars , ordered lunch was cold and not cooked , staff were rude , manager was unprofessional, tables dirty, carpet sticky , freezing cold , don’t waste your money go to buffalo round the corner, great food and staff .

Its a Wetherspoons so you get what you pay for, have never had any reason to complain about the food and have eaten here often

Imagine coming In for Mother’s Day for lunch, place barely had anyone in, took 45 minutes to get my food, when I asked about it, they then went to check and it came within 10minutes of asking, which makes me think they forgot my order, having a hungry 19 month old baby wanting food for an hour was rather unpleasant. 1. They’ve put maple syrup instead of jack Daniel’s sauce on my stake. 2. Didn’t bring my stake knife. 3. Forgot to put butter for my jacket potato. 4. Forgot to put the peas on my kid’s plate. 5. And the fried egg look like it was fried inside a plastic bag, as least that what the texture was like. Been coming here for the last 5 years, I hope it was a one off, but the service was awful.

Large Wetherspoon pub with plenty of seating options, the usual selection of drinks and food. All food and drinks were of good quality, wait times were very short and service was friendly. Only minor complaint was the pub felt a little on the cold side but nothing to stop us enjoying the visit.

Obviously understaffed these day's. Last night the app was turned off and they we're very busy, what doesn't help is if you're not waiting at a till the staff will ignore you no matter how long you wait.

Usually visit on a Friday lunch and have a good meal and drink. Unfortunately we visited for a Saturday lunch, under staffed (only 1 person at a time manning the bar, so a long queue). Food was very poor took 40mins to arrive (estimate 20), I ordered the spicy chicken with a salad + side of toasted veg and it came without the spicy sauce or the salad! Although I got them when I chased. My wife ordered a gammon egg and baked pot. It was cold the eggs had been over cooked and were like rubber, the tomato was a piece of tomato skin, peas were bullets. It went back and took another 10mins to return. One of the eggs was still rubbery but was eaten because by that time my wife was too hungry to fight it. We won't be returning on a Saturday.

I ordered small fish/chips but the fish was all batter, I think I just about got 1 mouthful of fish. There were 4 of us 2 were served the other two waited 40 minutes to be told the alarms stopped us cooking, ok not their fault but why wait 40 minutes to let us know. Very unhappy

OK for breakfast really cheap as you would expect from a spoons

Unfortunately table next to ours had a very vociferous lady and her language wasn't too good, we had very young children with us, in fact one of the children put his fingers in his ears so it deadened the sound. Food and service very good.

Useless food and service and when I sent to write this review it reverted to Wetherspoons main site to prevent a poor service. Utter scum.

Went for a meal with the other half and we both had the gourmet steak but.......Gourmet it certainly was NOT!! The steak was mainly gristle and the peas had been cooked way before being dished up as they were all wrinkly, the mash tasted like powdered mash and the whole meal was barely lukewarm. The salad was really good though..and very cheap for lime and soda .

Lovely evening having a few drinks in the Ash ...especially due to a particular staff member Janine her name was ,who made us feel very welcome!...what an asset to the Weeping Ash she is.

RUDE STAFF I waited in line for people in front to be served (not very busy in there) he served them, then went over and started serving someone that just walked in I did say I was next in the que of the people he had just served clearly wasn't his problem and could do without customers disturbing him whilst he was working I stood there then ordered my food ect on the app then sat down waiting for my empty coffee cup to arrive so that I could get a coffee how annoying as I have walking problems I only went to the bar so that I wasn't up and down to get a cup but thanks to that member of staff I was but it did go to show you don't need members of rude staff like that and get rid of that rude person and use the app instead as it works faster than him and alot more polite

A Lot of people are a bit Stuffy about WEATHERSPOONS But let me tell you the food is a bit plain But is of Excellent Quality. The DRAFT beers are of The VERY Best QUALITY. THE Staff are EXTREMELY efficient and helpful. The overall VALUE is Fantastic and Nobody comes Evan close. WEATHERSPOONS 10/10.

Ok...Even better if you could get the parents to keep the kids under control.

Nice food and reasonably priced

the table was disgusting and sticky and the servers had there fingers in my drink while carrying it to my table rank then after ordering food we was kicked out as we wasn’t over 18 but we are all over 16 and there policy states we can be in there untill 9 and it was 3 a clock and they server threaten to not give refund for our food and when we left we saw them jumping and laughing at us when we left

Awful, servers are rude, food was dry and stone cold, don’t state their policies online, table was dirty and unclean.

It's a spoons... Reasonable quality drinks for reasonable prices. App is great and even on a busy evening table service is fast a reliable

Absolutely wonderful cheap and cheerful pub, the food is what you expect the drinks (just like any other pub) except for the fact that they are cheap, but the one thing that I don't believe should ever happen is when one is going to the toilet doing their business a woman from the pub comes in cleaning whilst other members of the public are doing their business, I don't know what the laws are but to me this should never happen!! Apart from the fact of woman cleaning the males toilets whilst males are in there it's alright but not right, well deserved 2 stars

Truly dreadful food, sent breakfast back twice an could have done it a third time. I would not take a homeless person off the street to eat there.

What a great find for lunch for two walkers. We were amazed at the quality of the food and the fabulous service from the staff. We will certainly be returning and looking for Wetherspoons along the way.

The place is a health hazard! Tables, menus and cutlery never cleaned. I have never ever seen the tables cleaned after someone leaves. just a cursory wipe down, probably with the same old dirty cloth that has wiped down the previous 100 tables The beer is good. The Staff completely unhappy and demoralised. The food has definitely during that past two years

Horrible experience. Drugs being done in toilet. Member of staff was rude. Drunk people staggering all over the place. Food was awfull. Felt relieved to leave. I would not recommend taking children in here, or eating in here . This pub is run by children.

Good food, served very quickly but was eerily very dark in there. My daughter literally had her torch on her phone to eat dinner 🤦🏼‍♂️

Paid for two classic meals. Top price ! Both where of poor portions. Potato mash was not fully cooked ( i.e. hard, lumpy). Smallest steak pie I have ever seen. Chips minimal. Not very impressed at all !! Very poor indeed.

Staff friendly and helpful but need more staff than there are to cope with the number of people in there offers on everyday but they don't show on the app so need to order at the bar atmosphere busy not the cleanest of places as not enough staff to clear the tables but food was lovely and arrived quickly

Basic pub chain food, nothing special

First time visiting this particular JDW. Nice atmosphere, our food (beef madras) was well cooked in fact it tasted like an authentic takeaway Indian curry. Choice of beers is very good and the prices favourable. Staff were polite and efficient and I'm sure we will definitely been visiting again in the future.

Two of us went in for breakfast, scrambled egg is on the menu so ordered two scrambled egg with an extra sausage each, 5 mins later one plate arrived with two sausages, 5 mins later I asked the waitress where my food was, she looked at the order and said yeah, both eggs are on the first plate, so remember if seven of you order scrambled eggs six of you will get nothing but one will have a big plate of food, you can't make this sort of stupidity up

Have eaten at the weeping ash over the last four years and have enjoyed every meal I have eaten there. The service is also very good and quick. The bar staff and the waitress's are very polite and good at their job .

Excellent Spoons and so cheap.Trad brekkie £3.14 & coffee £1.02. Amazing. The lady in charge is brilliant but unfortunately is on her own so it's inevitably slow to order but quick to arrive.
