Really lovely staff and very tasty food 🤤. Definitely good value for money. They had seating arrangements to suit all tastes.

Called last Friday, wife had lasagna came with chips salad etc , I had Sirloin steak all the trimmings , garlic bread with cheese+ a sausage for our dog and what a lovely meal , service was excellent nice friendly people we will be back this week ( good offer on drinks too)

Went for my twin daughter’s 2nd birthday the staff were amazing and food was great too. Really appreciate the warm welcome and understanding staff around the cake making sure that there was 2 separate 2s

We walked in late on Sunday just as they were about to shut the kitchen, Billy the chef was brilliant he was happy to cook for us, let me tell you the food was delicious. It was served in great time and looked amazing. Thanks for the great experience we will be back soon!

The staff at The Marsh Harrier were very friendly and polite. Our food came quickly after ordering. The food was tasty and good quality. The pub was clean and well presented.

We arrived to find that a table had not been reserved for us. The waiter looked at a table which stated reserved but came back to us to say that the table was already reserved for someone arriving at 1.30 we had booked for 1.00. My wife asked if we could have that table and was told no in an angry manner. He then tried to sit us in a doorway with the door open and on high chairs which my wife told him she couldn't manage and didn't want to sit in a drafty door way. This seemed to make him even more angry. The waiter then went off to prepare another table for us. Two couples came in who hadn't booked and were told to take any table they liked that didn't state reserved. A colleague of the waiter dealing with us a young lady asked if everything was okay. my wife explained what was going on, the lady showed my wife some other tables which were perfectly and the lady said she couldn't' understand the waiter. We were then shown to a freshly wiped table which we sat down at but by this time we felt totally uncomfortable and could not consider staying and therefore we got up and left. If this is how you treat your customers you won't have many returning. We certainly wont be returning and I wont be promoting your restaurant.

Whilst experience at The Marsh Harrier previously has been positive, i was met with refussal to accept blue light discount for our order, which would have been a significant discount. I showed my Bluelight discount to the cashier, but was advised i needed to show the phone app code, of which i did not have access to. I was more than happy to provide ID, my blue light card and number and any other identification needed. Once ordered, without the blue light discount, our meals took over an hour to be brought to the table, with no communication regarding the delay in our food. I had to chase 3 times to ask when the meals would be ready, and had 3 children within the group who became increasingly irritable (our table was booked for 6.45pm). Once the meals were brought to the table the 'medium rare' steak as part of the surf and turf meal was well done, infact was overdone and dry. A replacement was cooked and brought to the table, however by this point, the rest of the meal had gone cold. The restaurant manager offered 3 childrens desserts as compensation. It was a dissapointing experience, and one that has led to us avoiding a further booking this bank holiday weekend just gone, of which we would have likely returned had we not experienced such poor service on this visit.

The last time I came was about 5 years ago and was not impressed with it. i came on monday and it was great food lovely service was fab .will be coming back again

Always so friendly and welcoming to me and my family. Have young children that are always happy with the children menu and their dinner and I'm happy with the price of the kids menu. Had good deals over the school holidays. Always helpful with our needs thank you.

Staff mostly sitting around chatting to each other, food was average to below average quality although steaks cooked very well. Every time I’m visited invlusive of this one at least one thing we have ordered has been unavailable or out of stock. Overall poor impression

We made a booking, were shown to a table and left wondering whether we were going to be served or not. After getting up to ask, turns out you have to go to the bar to place an order, would have been nice to have been told that when shown to the table. Food arrives, pretty average Sunday roast with soggy old Yorkshire pudding, bit disappointing and won't be returning.

What fabulous pub very clean and staff happy to look after their guests(nice touch) food was really nice and hot, chose yhe hunters baguette with cheesy chips delicious 😋

We came here for the first time tonight, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, easy ordering using the QR code. Food arrived within good time and was amazing, my son said his burger was the best he’s ever had! Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back here again.

Went in with a work colleague and just wanted a quick bite to eat. The pub was nicely busy and had a warm atmosphere. Service was efficient and friendly but the start was the pizzas!! I was only going to have a small bite to eat but once I saw them I had to have one!! Great lunch was had.

Good food and choices good prompt service nice setting good staff BUT GET TABLE CLOTHS OR BETTER CLEANER FOR THE HORRIBLE STICKY TABLES. Second visit because we enjoyed it but uncomfortable about food off these sticky tables both times.

We were made to feel so welcome with our dog, which was amazing. We could sit anywhere with him. All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Foid was great. Really impressed with everything.

Great time celebrating my FiL’s MBE which he recently received. The staff were attentive, food was well cooked and plentiful and there was a chilled vibe in the pub.

Food was barely edible. Deep fried to extreme. Very greasy. Wasn't busy, think we were the only ones eating. Put us off returning. Had to duck them!!

Stopped by for a meal and drinks late on a Sunday afternoon. The pub had clearly been very busy over lunch and was still probably 40% occupied later afternoon. Despite this all staff we encountered were very polite, professional and cheerful. Food was good - all well cooked and delivery to the table on a timely basis. We would happily stop her again for a meal and indeed hope to do so before too long!

My Daughter has autism when she asked a male member of staff for help with one of the child's play screens he openly said I have no idea and walked away. Then she ordered you dipping donuts and was told we never have Strawberry's we just give an extra donut 🍩 she was quite upset I ended up going to Morrisons for strawberrys

The staff were really friendly and helpful. My partner wanted a mix grill but they had sold out but it was no problem as they made him one up which he loved. We live an hour away but would defiantly revisit food was lovely and staff were amazing.

It was amazing, very tasty food I loved it but sometimes it was a bit crowded and could take time to get a seat I go with a family of 4 so it is very expensive.

Bar staff very friendly and welcoming which is why i gave a three star review. Food was disappointing to say the least, two roast beef dinners ordered. Gravy was oily and very thin like water. Roast potatoes were not roasted enough. The whole plate of food was lukewarm. Food was taken back to kitchen and returned, but again was still just lukewarm to touch, beef was like leather and the beautiful looking Yorkshire pudding was chewy from being reheated.margerita pizza and chips were satisfactory and I was happy to pay for those items.Bar Staff went out of their way to put things right! Well done to the young lady who helped with that.

Although I had requested a quiet table as we are all oldies, we were told to choose our preferred table. After deciding, I have an eye problem, the Server heard me and pulled the curtain in my eye line without being asked, very helpful.

Had a lovely meal here food was perfect and the staff were so friendly especially the American guy that served us our meals and desserts he was awsome went above and beyond for us so welcoming. Lovely atmosphere couldn’t fault any of it. We will be back to see you soon. 5 stars all the way x

The service was excellent and food very good

We had the Sunday roast. Portion size amazing, food quality outstanding, presentation outstanding. Homemade Yorkshire puddings - best roast we’ve eaten out. Service was outstanding, staff were friendly attentive and enjoyed a conversation or joke. Great over all experience.

Andy behind the bar was extremely friendly and welcoming. After a busy working week we popped for a drink and he cheered us up. Chatting about what we had been up to and just generally making us feel relaxed and welcome. Not very often seen unfortunately now days so we were impressed. Great customer service, keep it up. The reason for the low mark on food is not related to the quality but the availability visited on Sunday evening 25th February the mixed grill was not available and the Coffee machine was out of order.Revisited on Monday 26th February and the availabilty had not changed. Not good .

Party of 7 Came in last minute on a Sunday lunch time. Brilliant service from the off and food was really good. American guy who served us was brilliant . Definitely recommend.

Great service and helpful menu information. The staff, especially Dan and Guido were helpful and informative and friendly without being intrusive. The menu was varied and my chosen meal was very tasty and perfect cooked.

After 6ish years I ventured in over Oct & Nov. The service was friendly, the food piping hot, the pub/restaurant clean and light. The issue is under staffing. This should be an EASY score of 4, even 5 at a push. Unfortunately both visits the Harrier was understaffed as they tried to cope with the volume of food and drink orders. Once again, friendly staff, enjoyed the food but both visits food and hot drinks took a very long time, 25 min for a coffee/tea to be made, staff were visibly rushed and stressed. Improve this and you'll def score higher.
