After ordering food advised 15mins later item not in stock so changed order. 3 servings delivered 30minutes later then 20minutes later the remaining 4 servings arrived but two ordered items missing vegetables. Advised staff who 10minutes later provided two portions of peas. On paying the bill I expected a further apology and perhaps a reduction but neither was offered. I would avoid this place if they consider this good service.

We came here for a quick lunch with our daughter. There are good options for seating - we sat outside in the marquee. The menu is simple, but that’s a good thing, it was evident the food was cooked to order and with care. The wait staff were very understanding of our needs having a young child and came to check on us that everything was ok - very nice professional touch that was much appreciated. So glad we called in and can’t wait to go back!

Friendly staff greeted us and politely directed us to a table in the marquee outside as it was warm out. Food and drink orders were taken via the pub’s app and we were asked if we’d like to all receive our food together at the same time (as we ordered separately), to which we said yes. Drinks all came out as ordered and prices were very reasonable as well. When it came to the food, 3 out of our 4 meals were brought to the table, and still after 12 minutes, the 4th was nowhere to be seen. After asking a staff member about the missing meal, it was brought out 16 minutes later than the others (which were nearly finished by now). Other than the timing, the food wasn’t bad. The whitebait for starter were delicious and I’d recommend them to anyone! My main was the gourmet burger, which tasted quite nice and was cooked seemingly well, although I have a feeling it was frozen. Overall, not a bad pub, but not a great one either. I can’t really fault them, but I don’t have anything huge to compliment them on either.

I recently stopped by the Watts Arms at Hanslope. I was met by the new landlady Julie. Very welcoming and most professional. I had a well presented pint of the local cask ale which tasted amazing. So good I persuaded myself to have a second bite of the cherry and it was just as good as the previous one. I’ll be back soon to sample the impressive menu. Top marks Julie. Well done.

After the Salcey Forest parkrun nearby we stopped for brunch at this wonderful village pub for breakfast. We were the only patrons and the host served us some fantastic coffee. From the breakfast options we went for toast and some fried eggs baps that were delivered very quickly. Liked the friendly welcome on a Saturday morning.

As a Northerner used to big portions, the pizzas sold here are well worth it. Lots of choice and only £8.95! Don't eat beforehand though :) There's a decent range of ales too behind the bar. I enjoyed the Triple Hop.

We went to Watts Arms today for Lunch and I must say it was very disappointing. Whilst I appreciate that there are new management in place in the recent past the offering today was VERY limited and most disappointing. I will not be rushing back to visit this Pub in a hurry

We both had a lovely time tonight .Great atmosphere and a hugh pizza ...too big to finish but not a problem if I wanted to take it home as the waitress was going to pop it in a box. I declined ....this time as I was staying in a local guest house ! Nice local pub worth a visit if you are in the area

The Watts used to be a place that I’d pop into now and again. The main reason for my lack of patronage was that the food just really wasn’t up to scratch. Well the Watts is under new management now and things really are looking up. It is still early days but I already feel that it has a better atmosphere. I have not had the opportunity to sample the food yet but that will be rectified very soon. Pop in and say hello, hopefully the old Watts is back.

Our work party of 4 spent a lovely lunchtime at Watts today. Day before, I popped in to check Menu and book. Wendy was fabulous - took my booking and gave me a Menu to take away. We were welcomed today by Wendy, who, with Evelyn, really looked after us. Food was lovely, Desserts to die for. Marks - Food: 12 out of 10, Service: 19 out of 10. Well done, all. This pub has had a real re-birth. Well recommended

We moved to the village a while ago and finally decided to try the Watts Arms, I wish we’d tried sooner! The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome, the food was really good and reasonably priced, as were the drinks. The pub feels comfy and cosy, much better than the other pub in the village!

The Watts has changed hands since our last visit - previously it was very good and today it was excellent. They have an excellent range of local and guest beers (I had an Eagle I.P.A) and the menu is varied and reasonably priced. A word of caution - we ordered starters and main courses and we probably won't eat again for days, as the portions are huge! Extremely well cooked, very tasty and beautifully presented ... but 'plentiful' doesn't quite cover it :o)

Clean, tidy both inside and out. Attentive and chatty bar staff (Jason, son of the new owner (Took over November 2017 I believe).

What a difference a couple on months make! Now with a new management and improved menu this local pub is once again back on it's feet. Very happy that the Watts Arms is still open and not closed like so many pubs in the UK. Now if the brewery don't gouge the landlady by putting up the rent this pub will be a gem.

The Watts Arms is never going to win any prizes for most stylish pub or any of that jazz, that is not what it is about. What it does do is it serves the local community with some good beers, a great meeting place and just recently some good home cooked food. It is just what you want from a local pub.

I visited The Watts Arms in June, the barmaid (Landlady) who was very young yet I'm far from doubting her success filled me in on everything about the village, only good things to be said. I left after a well priced meal and welcoming chat and offered on my now new home. I revisited today, and she remembered me and what I had last time. Was shocked when I read previous reviews as it is the best experience I've had in a pub ever!

We stopped off at The Watts Arms on Thursday 24th August around 6.30pm as we were visiting the area and had been told that this was a nice pub. We had traveled down from Leeds that day. Well our experience was far from nice! As we walked in our first impression was of a blaring TV screen and lots of screeching, drunken people, including a young barmaid (behind the bar) who could barely stand up, needless to say she completely ignored us. The other lady serving was also far from friendly, taking a long time to serve another customer before she even acknowledged our presence. When she did come to us us she ignored me and attempted to serve my husband, even though I was the one speaking and waving the money! Incredible. Furthermore she then tried to give my husband the change! Had we entered a time warp where only men purchase alcohol? Bizarre! Anyway, we both ordered an IPA beer and were served with a disgusting, flat brown liquid - very far from any light, refreshing IPA that we have ever tried. The beer was so bad we didn't finish it and left with a bad taste in our mouths. In the interest of balance: The hanging baskets were pretty and the awful beer was cheap.

This pub is a lovely village pub - it has very friendly locals and the staff are always friendly and bubbly. The menu may not run to 3 pages, but the food is always beautifully prepared and served in very generous portions. For someone looking for a village pub atmosphere, you need to look no further - there is plenty of choice for the beer aficionado, there is a lovely, spacious garden ... couldn't ask for much more, to be fair!

We are meet every Thursday for lunch at a different pub. We look for good food and real ale and we found it at The Watts Arms. The service was warm and welcoming and following my phone reservation, I was offered the option to pre-order our food. As we are a bunch of retirees, we have all the time in the world so we didn't need the service. The food was excellent, traditional pup grub as well as some more up-to-date dishes from an extensive menu. Altogether, a very enjoyable lazy lunch.

I have eaten here a number of times and the food is always excellent, freshly cooked and homemade. The food service is always good and I have never been kept waiting too long. The prices are a little more than I would expect to pay for pub food but the taste compensates for the price. The one thing that puts me off visiting is the noise level, the pool table at the other end of the pub seems to be the focus of a who can shout the loudest and sitting in the bar area is not advisable if you are planning on having a conversation with your companions.

We recently moved to the area and were pleased to see our "local" offered meals 5 days a week. We have dined many, many times and enjoyed every meal. The menus are varied and cater for the whole family. It isn't cheap, but the food isn't cheap tasting either so it is worth it. The atmosphere and staff are both very welcoming. The pub itself is again, not the cheapest, but it's a lovely surrounding so worth the money you pay for the drinks. I highly recommend.

We were in Hanslope to see the village where my ancestors lived for generations until the beginning of the 20th century and decided to have lunch at a local pub. The Watts Arms was a good choice. The service was lovely - friendly and efficient - and our lunch very acceptable. The lunchtime menu consisted of choices of baguettes or hot meals. My husband opted for the bacon and cheese burger - which he said was very good - with chips and salad and I had a pleasant vegetable lasagne which also came with salad and some very nice garlic bread. With a pint and a half of ale between us our meal came to just over £18. I would definitely recommend the Watts Arms which we will go to again if we return to the area.
