We ate here,had steak,was cooked perfect,staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely return.

We had our wedding meal in here and it was amazing! They set the room up and decorated it for us which we didn’t expect, it looked amazing! The food was great and Phil who took care of us was so lovely and helpful!

Since changing to Goodwins there's been a big improvement in service...decor is lovely and food was great..i suffer with really bad ibs and told them they made my meal just the way I like it..

I visited the pub today. The location is nice, I felt like I was in a park. The building inside looks good too. Food and drink were OK, but the dessert (ice cream) was almost tasteless and similar to ice in taste. You also could take care so that ground under outside tables is 100% horizontal and chairs with back support would be better than benches without support.

Rooms really clean, food was excellent, staff all very friendly- would highly recommend

Didn’t stay at the hotel, Spontaneously stopped at the pub on Thursday to have some food with my family on a drive home. The Lady at the door was lovely and welcoming and sent us to the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. Managed to find one table that didn’t have a reserved sign on however one of the staff was incredibly rude and we quickly gathered that we were going to be an inconvenience so we left before ordering anything. The pub itself is lovely and the food looked great so a little disappointed we never got to enjoy.

Fabulous location, extensive menu and a lovely welcome. Visited recently to meet an old friend who suggested the Waterside. It had been a long time since I'd been previously but what a difference. Outside of the modern decor the staff were exceptional. Attentive and knowledgeable. Clearly well trained. Really enjoyed the visit and will be back again.

Just had gammon steak, ate the lot, no leftovers. Moaned about the 3 small prawns I got as an extra last week with my steak, take it all back

Came with my partner for some lunch, asked for ultimate burger of the gluten free menue as asked for it to be with sautéed potatoes I was told by a waitress no you cannot you're gluten free. I explained I can have it as sautéed is pan fried. Ordered the food went with baby potatoes in the end. Another waitress came out and passed me a plate which she asked me to grab of her to find out that the plate was boiling hot that it burnt my hand. Which is still very sore. Partner ordered honey chicken burger... completely unedible as it was so dry. The majority of it wasn't even able to be cut with a knife. In the end we just got up and left the food spent alot of money that day and was left very dissatisfied Shame really as we used to love coming to our local for lunch

Had a lovely meal tonight, 15 of us, some of us very fussy !! But Paul was very patient taking our order and we all enjoyed the evening. A big thank you to Paul and all the staff.

Came for a large family meal of 10+, food and drink was amazing and the restaurant was very nice inside and out. There were issues with the orders such as someone not getting their dessert but solely down to how many of us there were. The waiter was great also!

So arrived today to stay in hotel for 2 days for our 1st wedding anniversary, to come to the pub at 19.32pm hours order drinks sat down, had look thru menu to go to bar to be told not doing food now as busy... not even a sorry or anything. The pub side is dead, I understand the restaurant may be busy but not great customer service is it...we only wanted some snacks to get us thru. So not only disappointed with hotel room which is disgusting now we can't get food, let down.

Hotel needs renovating, lots of old damp patches, beds are comfortable. Bar and grill is very nice with a good breakfast.

Stopped here for food after a day out. Lovely outdoor space and great offers on food.

We ve been here for a drink. The pub looks clean and the garden outside is a huge plus,I would love to come back in a sunny day. Shame there is not a kid play area.

Had Sunday lunch and my wife had rump steak with minted new potatoes which was not minted, plates were served abruptly with no comments, Yorkshire was hard, had 3 Carrots the Size of my little finger, they were spongy as was the Broccoli not asked how is your meals, typical British abysmal service, not going back.

A weekend away with the mother and the pub and hotel is absolutely brilliant, we were served by Iona and she is an absolute star, she was so welcoming and so lovely, an absolute credit to the team🤩

We didn't stay over, but we did call in at the pub. Sammie looked after us beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble, asking if we needed anything, sorted my husband's food out very quickly. The food was lovely, my husband's steak was perfectly cooked. My food was very tasty (burger). Relaxed atmosphere, comfy tables, great music, a little loud at one point but quickly turned down. Excellent quality food but let down by them getting the order wrong. The drinks seemed a little expensive considering 1 of them was an alcohol free cider

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are basic but all you need. The breakfast at the pub next door was fantastic. Definitely worth getting.

Went last Sunday lovely meal staff very pleasant didn’t book but that was no problem we sat in the bar part and it was nice . Will be going again and Iv told a few people about this place

Went for lunch with a friend on 3rd July and thought we had a lovely time. Made a table booking, parked in the car park, and went on our way after lunch. However, what would have been a 4 or 5-star review has been marred by the £100 parking charge I've received, as I apparently should have registered my vehicle with the bar or reception when I arrived. There was nothing on the website about needing to do this when I booked the table, and none of the staff mentioned this when we were seated. As a new mum trying to get out of the house, this has left a sour taste, and I don't think I'll be back or recommending it to anyone else. Edit to add: After a phone call to the restaurant, this is a common issue and they were able to remove the fine quickly. However, I'm not changing my review from 1 star as knowing this is a problem and not changing their policies, website, booking portal, or even having staff mention it upon arrival makes it feel rather predatory, and that they hoping you'll pay it instead of questioning it.

A lovely pub which seems to be in a different league from the usual Greene King chain. Nicely decorated with plenty of room between tables. Our waitress was excellent. Fantastic food choice and arrived hot with care taken over the presentation. Free parking is available onsite, just remember to register your number plate. Can't comment on rooms as we did not stay here. A Greene King other in its chain can learn from.

Great value for money in an incredible location with good sized bedrooms; if I was to go back to Warrington, this would be my default lodging.

Food was ok, fairly run of the mill nothing bad nothing great, service a bit slow perhaps due to a wedding party at same time, outside area a little run down, but surrounding garden area was nice, if you are looking for a meal out and not one to impress then I would recommend it.

Fantastic location in Ealing with an easy connection into central London, we were upgraded, the rooms appear to have been recently refurbished and were great, water and beer in the fridge were free, and the breakfast was lovely. Great find!

Easy to find,have a lot of parking space.The interior of the building is nice,interesting. Prices are all right in comparison to the average level,however the portions are small.The chicken menu,like 25dkg meat,and two slices of onion rings only. If you planning a romantic day out,it could be the target,but do not artive with empty stomach 😉

It was just great. For starters we had: chicken wings, prawns and squid. All cooked to perfection. Seasoning was delicious. For main we all had steak. All dishes came as we asked, well done & medium rare. The waitress actually knew which one was well and which one was medium. I just don’t appreciate going to pubs and people mix the orders. The staff was absolutely great. Always present, making sure we were fine. My family enjoyed every minute. Best top 3 on my list. I've been back to this pub on 16/6/2024. Everything remains the same except for the Grilled Herb Butter King Prawn. They were undercooked and not the same size as the previous time. Not only that but tasteless. My daughter had Mac "N" Cheese and it was delicious. I had the T-bone with Merlot & Beef sauce and it was just perfect. My wife who had the prawns was disappointed.

Advertises as a real ale bar, however only one real ale on our visit, and not a great pint, I left half of it as it was simply not good enough. Staff had no idea of the Cask Marque scheme to which they subscribe to. Staff however were friendly and welcoming, with the venue itself clean and well presented. However a pub is judged on its beer and on this occasion it failed to live up to expectations.

Myself & my son went out for lunch at water side on half term holidays, we had such a nice time we ate of the lunch time menu and was quick and easy service. We was served by Becky Appleton and she is always kind & polite and very good with son will defo be as he says they do best fries & salt. Thankyou guys.

We went today for my daughters 21st birthday breakfast and it was fantastic. Food was amazing and the lady who served us was Adele and she went beyond her job. She was polite and even brought a cake and candle out for my daughter without us knowing then she even brought the doggy lenny some food while we had our breakfast. Thanks again Adele your a 🌟

Lovely lay out stunning inside very nice staff will be back for sure just been back after a year and sorry to say dropped in badly mac an cheese 3x all cold looked like porridge prawns tasteless my £6.40 pint was flat both times

Went for a birthday meal with my partner had a lovely meal on 7th May a week later got a £100 parking fine was not informed we had to put a reg in at the bar by any member of staff maybe they should notify customers

An update to my last review, I’m happy to say that Amanda from the waterside has rectified the situation, and the fine has been cancelled.we have re-visited the waterside and as usual enjoyed our visit, lovely pub, friendly staff.Very happy

Clean and tidy rooms, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the pub had a decent choice of meals. The food we ordered was tasty, and it was a good portion. The prices are slightly above average but the service and the location compensated for it.

A nice quiet place to stay whilst in Warrigton. Easy to find, near town centre, staff very friendly and helpful. The price was definitely right at £85 per room per night. Definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a great pub and only just discovered it. Great pub food and service, also great atmosphere.

Enjoyed the quiz last night, great atmosphere and team participation thanks to the enthusiasm of the quiz host. Food and service a bit mediocre but nice pub, tons of parking and great layout. Love navigating central Warrington busy roads 🙄

Nice place friendly staff. Ordered fillet steak then a guy appears only steak available was rump. ☹️. These things happen so won't hold it against them. All in all a good night and will be going back.

Highly highly recommended!! I can not thank this venue enough! We asked about having a small, no fuss wedding reception (29/2/24). The budget was tight and we just wanted an intimate meal with our friends and family. We met with Hayley to discuss what we had in mind (literally just a meal with 45ppl) and she made us feel special and celebrated us soon to be married more than we did. On the day we were shocked, surprised and absolutely made up with the amount of effort that had been put in! Not only did we have a small section of the wedding suite, it was also decorated to the highest standard, which we had no clue about. Hayley expressed she wanted to make it special and she and the team exceeded this massively. We honestly could not have asked for a better venue, staff and the food was also 10/10. We can't thank you enough and anyone looking for something special should definitely look into coming here.

Visited the Waterside Pub & Grill for the first time today. Three adults and two children for dinner. The food was decent. A high standard for this kind of family friendly restaurant. Portions are generous and the quality of the food was good. The service and staff attitude was fantastic. Really some of the best wr have had in a long time. Flexible on our food choices and accommodating our preferences. We will absolutely be returning for future meals.

Went for dinner with family and booked my car in on the electronic screen with staff present. Only to find that 2 weeks later I came home to a £100 parking fine through my door. Not the best experience and I won't be going there again.

Been here a few times now on gluten free menu through an allergy not through choice last time got given chips that Weren’t on gluten free menu which got changed to boiled potatoes they said that chips are gluten free my argument was why are they not on gluten free menu if that was the case. This time ordered gluten free garlic cheese mushrooms received the order started eating the starter ate half the bread to be told that the bread was not gluten free They replaced the order with gluten free bread next was the mains gluten free gammon and new potatoes again got given chips and again was told that they were gluten free although again no chips on gluten free menu. Although got apology from waiter feel thoroughly let down by the restaurant. Think the staff would benefit from allergy’s and special diet training and the effects that can happen if eaten. I was a lucky one but the next person might not be as lucky Will think twice on returning

Warm, flavoursome food, friendly staff.

Seemed average. Arrived for our pre booked meal and entered the site, not accessible with prams due to steps into the main entrance. Interior Seemed very dated and over due a revamp. Food arrived and not there was anything wrong but definitely nothing special. Mixed grill had no gravey or sauce apart from the ketchup on the table. Kids meals were portioned generously but again nothing worth mention. Seating was OK but we sat directly from the main entrance with people walking in with dogs? Instantly hearing people's dogs barking as I'm trying to eat my food is a turn off... dogs in a place where people are dining isn't a sign of the quality of service

Quite the lovely Green King Pub, was served by Laura, who with some quality dry wit and banter made the evening disappear whilst keeping the beers flowing. Good food too, can’t remember what we ate, but she said it would be good and it sure was. Quality lass, quality place. Nicer food and better banter than the place across the road, that’s for sure.

Service everywhere was very warm and friendly particularly hotel but competence wasn't great. My room was freezing due to window being open all day and a small heater was put on as a solution and no checks completed. There were two ladybirds in my room and the cold tap wouldn't turn on. I had work to complete which was done with a quilt wrapped round me. The pub again was friendly but the check in process was slow and felt unnecessary on a quiet evening. Ordering was a mess, the member of staff was unable to put through my blue light discount and so just stood around waiting for another member of staff leading a queue to build, which made me feel very uncomfortable she could have made my drinks during this time or engaged with other waiting customers. I wanted to add something to my order but when I said this the man serving me pulled such a face that I felt an absolute nuisance and said it didn't matter. The food was nice, although portions felt mean for a pub meal and I deeply regretted not having ordered the additional item.

Really good pub dinner with good sized portions, the chicken and ribs was delicious 😋. We had breakfast the next morning which was also good. Fortunately for Greene King this bar and restaurant makes up for the slightly uncared for hotel next door!! Sort that and it’s a win win GK! What is more important about this premises is the staff……outstanding! Jodie and Sophie deserve a big pat on the back, couldn’t be more helpful and with a constant cheery smile and good banter 😁 proper service! I have to say especially Sophie as she seemed to be working all day!! And to keep chipper in front of the general public takes some doing! Well done Team Waterside 🥳

We visited here after an evening out karting at team sports ,Absolutely amazing evening, would love to say thank you to the staff and especially for the warm welcome and the young lady that came out and took a group photo for us. The food was delicious and the young man that served the food , he was polite and friendly and did everything he could to make our evening enjoyable. Big thanks from us all and me Jonathan Harvey, we will definitely be back soon

Rooms were nice and clean. Only issue was a party going on in the room above us when we got back about 11pm. We didn't complain at the time as hoping it would stop eventually! In the morning, the lovely lady on reception apologised as quite a few others had complained that night. Shame as we'd had a lovely evening in the restaurant meeting up with friends we met on holiday.

First visit to The Waterside Bar & Grill and it won't be the last. From the warm welcome and exceptional staff, great selection of food and lovely atmosphere. Food was amazing, and arrived quickly. We had a fabulous evening and I would highly recommend a visit. Well done to all the team.

Wow just wow absolutely amazing food I treated myself to a Tomahawk steak and this was just amazing the staff are lovely polite and kept us informed on our food kept the drinks coming. I'd definitely be going back. Keep up the brilliant service 🥰
